Seattle’s Best Rooftops for Spring and Summer Dining | Eater Seattle

"Monkey Loft is, first and foremost, known as SoDo’s premiere venue for DJs. But it also happens to be one of the city’s coolest rooftop patios. Once the sun’s down — which is primarily when the venue is open — it’s tough to find a better view of the Seattle skyline. And while you can get pretty much any kind of cocktail you like (grab one from downstairs if the roof is too busy), there’s also a mocktail menu worth checking out if you want to last the whole night. Just be aware that there’s usually a cover charge." - Brianna Gunter

Wow, what a spot! Fantastic staff and great sound. There's a rooftop deck with unique views and an unbelievable chef. I had the best salmon burger I've ever had, and it was on a rooftop in SoDo at 3 in the morning. Highly recommend!

Google
They didn’t have food so not rating that. But their summer time rooftop Thursdays is a MUST GO. Always good vibes.

You absolutely have to experience Monkey Loft – it's hands-down the greatest music venue in Seattle! Imagine this: you're enjoying an incredible set with a breathtaking view of the city skyline, surrounded by a top-tier sound system that truly moves you. Plus, there are plenty of bathrooms and multiple spots to grab food and drinks throughout the night. I genuinely love this place, and I know you will too!

I’ve been at a variety of events at Monkey Loft. Both during the day and at night. One thing that has always remained consistent, was the wonderful woman at the check in counter. She provided the best information and is so kind. The venue itself is pretty great, but could use some touches. They have a great outdoor space and it is so large to host a variety of events. I haven’t had the opportunity to check the food out, but like the house created cocktails, which are pretty good.

Came here for an after party, after a show at the Wamu. $25 cover, 2 story, small place, loud music. It was very fun, super house vibes here. The bouncers at the entry/re-entry, and the bartenders were super friendly and attentive. It was good time here, super easy to get around and in and out. Cool spot!

Google
This is generally a night club for all hedonists and nocturnal creatures. Like all party scenes, there are still more males than females. But that’s not an issue, as this spot attracts great electronic music lovers and DJs. Without passive aggression, it can be a promising space for futuristic, inclusive society. As electronic music is the future.

Google
Sound system on main mid floor is nice although a lil more warm surround sound would be better. Lower level is great for atmosphere, food, bar, socializing, but really need this soundsystem to get right like a sound boy style. So you can be anywhere and feel.it proppa without trying to blast it of course. Just feel it. So the dj can fade the sound laft or right as if it's a boomerang flowing/swirling around you. More lil seats would be sweet. Love the upper deck of course! Again, wrap around sound and some seats and heaters at night. If you had gals coming around with pre-mix drinks with lids n straws and quick pay method. There would be huge revenue. If you (call me Brian if you are interested in how much more it could develop and evolve with me in your corner as well! It's all love and wonderful regardless! Thank you for all that you do!!) Love the staff amazing humans holdin' it down!🧡🤎🎯🙏🙏🏽🙏🏾🙏🏿💫✨️

Google
Brianna, woman who checked us in at the front desk was amazing and so kind. By far the most welcoming experience at any venue. My boyfriend and I agreed that we would come back to monkey loft just to be greeted by her again! Awesome music and great vibe!

Yelp
This review is a long time coming! As a geriatric raver, I'm absolutely loving the early parties (7-11p) that Shameless is throwing, the DeckD out rooftop parties are awesome, and now I've been to Just Inn, the inside version. Was a good vibe, and most importantly good dancing. Huge shout out to Tessa behind the bar- making the most delicious NA cocktails. She had a non alcoholic digistif style "liquor" that she made into the most wonderful drink! It made me think of Fernet but without the booze/hangover. I went out with a group of sober babes and we had so much fun dancing and enjoying yummy mocktails, home by 11 and no hangover? Cheers to that. Adulting can be fun.

Yelp
For $30 - $50 entrance fee, NOT WORTH IT! Absurd and ridiculous that they would charge any human being that much for a half empty place. It's sad because this isn't a bad place where straight men, straight women, straight couples, gay or lesbians can actually go to and have a great time. The view upstairs is super cool. And thank goodness that the bartender downstairs was hooking me and my girlfriend up with strong drinks. That dude deserves a raise and a GOLD STAR or some sh!+. Thank you bro seriously. We would have left if it wasn't for your great hospitality and good attitude. So yeah, if it wasn't for the rude man hating lady downstairs at the ticket both and them charging $30 - $50 dollars, this spot would be a 5 STAR hit for me.

Yelp
Best house music club in Seattle! Awesome rooftop too. And when the kitchen is open, which is not always, the food is delicious!

Yelp
Hmmm $20 bucks for a cover?? I dunno about that... The place seemed empty inside and not many people were dancing. (Was playing house music all night) This place had 3 different floors, but most people will chill in the patio/roof top floor. Drinks were okay and reasonably priced ($11-$16). Located in SODO, so there are plenty of street parkings available.

Yelp
Everything is good, but despite being expensive the reusable candles don't work. I'd get flamed for my candles at home not working. I think here, they should work.
google avatar

Yelp
Not a great experience. While standing in line to get in, I watched security only pat/wand the males entering the loft. Expensive entrance fee and poor ambiance. No security by the bathrooms, small bar, and almost no seating. Left after 20 minutes. Not worth it.

Yelp
Went here with a group of friends on Friday night, techno house night. I'm reading reviews and I'm like huh, only $20 for cover? Everyone including us were paying $35 and some even $40 and line took an hour to get in. But then I guess there were some top DJs playing. Inside was fairly spacious but also enough people to have the hype and energy flowing, and we were still able to enjoy the experience. We ended up staying around 3 hours, as while I enjoy the house music (which is almost always what Monkey Loft offers), it can get somewhat repetitive as you listen to hours of house music - especially when the music is not melodic at all. There's a "downstairs" bar with apparently a sushi area - according to my friend, 5 courses and a roll for $40 and apparently delicious. The middle floor (1 floor above street) features an indoor house DJ. The top floor (2 floors above street) is the outdoors area with plenty of space to dance. Arguably I would say the music inside is slightly better than that outside, but the people honestly really make or break the vibe. 3 stars because while the music is very good, I hate how time inefficient things are here - always a line everywhere, from going into the club to the single stall restrooms that can take 15-30 min to use, to the bar where, according to friends, waited over 30 min and end up not being able to get alcohol as last call is over, and there were still at least 20 people behind them. I think of the 3 hours we stayed, at least 45 min was spent waiting in various lines before we were able to get situated in and enjoy the club itself.

Yelp
Definitely not worth the overcharge at the door. No separate bathrooms, you're in a line for a good 30 minutes at least.

Anna B.

Yelp
I'm highly disappointed in how my friends and I were treated at monkey loft on 10/29/22. I was verbally insulted and screamed at by these two people. The male is a bouncer and the woman is a "ticket" person. They were so disorganized within them own selves that they took their own frustrations out on innocent people just trying to attend Monkey loft. They seemed to be extremely high strung like on some type of substance that caused them to be aggressive. I have a video of how I was mistreated by these two individuals who work at Monkey Loft and would truly appreciate some type of action to be taken place.

Pierre B.

Yelp
$30 cover charge to get in. Stop serving drinks at 1:30. Can't even step outside for a smoke without the security guard from the club next door harassing and threatening us with violence. Music is terrible and their reasoning for the crazy cover charge at the door is because they have an international DJ funniest thing I ever heard. Vibe is wack and barely any parking. Did I mention the insane cover charge to enter a empty club with weak music and hardly any one dancing let alone the poor women to men ratio? Yeah. Never coming here again. Save your money and go to xtadium or even lucky strike in Bellevue. Way more fun and less of a hassle. I feel like I wasted my money and my night. This place is trash.

Yelp
This is a very affordable place to go get drinks in Seattle - that is if your first name is Jefferson and your last name is Bezos. For us common-folk you might find that paying $20 per drink on top of the exorbitant cover is a little bit pricy but if the tech bros have their way we'll all be replaced by robots soon anyway. The music is pretty good if you like house music. (I don't). Unfortunately the DJ on the night that I went their either had never heard of Papa Roach or just wasn't to keen on taking requests. Either way, I was left unsatisfied.

Yelp
Popped in once with some friends one night. Overall had a fun experience. House isn't my first choice in music but vibed pretty well with everyone there. Easy to meet new people and make new friends. Welcoming to all. The environment and ambiance marches the energy given: vibrant, fun and loud. The only downside is the long line at the bar and restrooms. Fortunately there are two areas with restrooms. One inside and one outside in the loft area. I can proudly say this place is on my list of a fun night out!

Edwin B.

Yelp
It really pains me to write this review. However, my experience last night should be documented. First off, the music and vibe in this place is awesome. I grew up listening to house music and I'm usually the one who gets others to dance. I can groove and it's infectious. Their dj's know how to spin and my friends have taken me here while I was in town. I even told the lady behind the ticket counter how much I've waited to come back to this spot. I recently moved to Seattle about 1 month ago and couldn't wait to go back. At the door last night I overheard the last at three door talking about coat check. I thigh this would be a good idea because I was bundled up on a 40 degree night. I paid the extra 3 dollars because who wants to lug a big coat around while dancing? So I danced and had a great time. Although, I noticed I could not find my coat ticket. Coat tickets at dance clubs are worse than socks and laundry. Since I remembered my number #53 and could describe my jacket I thought I wouldn't have any problems...right? This is where the night took a turn. I told my story to the lady and she got angry. She told me that I would have to wait until the end of the night at 4am to retrieve my coat if it's there. Now remember...I had just recently spoken to this person upon entry telling them how much I could not wait to come back. However, it was like she was talking to someone off the street looking to steal a coat. Next what happens is equally bizarre. I remembered the number "53" and told her it was a black vest puffer with "Old Navy" behind the collar. She made me wait to clear people in line as I was unsure I'd she was actually going to make me wait to get a winter jacket on a 40 degree night. The line clears and she verifies the description of my jacket to look for it. "Why she didn't just look up by the number I told her is also puzzling". Ironically, the jacket was one of the first hanging up since I got there early around 10:30. When she gave it back, she was STILL rude about it saying that I thought Old Navy would be on the back. You we're descriptive. In my head I was like..."is this chic for real?". So many thoughts run through my head and I'm more than disappointed. I showed her the collar with "Old Navy" on the back and put money in the bowl just to be an a##hole and return the favor. This person's spirit has nothing to do with the music or vibe in the club. It's like night and day. I am new to Seattle but ironically most people I know here are in music industry and were actually the ones who introduced me to this place. I don't know if this was prejudicial or not (I'm an African American male) but honestly the way this woman acted it doesn't matter. Unfortunately this encounter was more than enough to check out other places. I can dance anywhere.

Yelp
Love coming here to see my friend dj! She's done a variety of sets on different nights and it's always a good time. The crowd that comes here is typically very into the tunes and just here to have a good time which always make for a positive and energetic night!

Yelp
Fantastic. Was looking for a local vibe with house music and this is the place. Plenty of parking on the street. There's two areas, the loft and the rooftop deck. Incredible views of the city!
google avatar

Rhyan H.

Yelp
This place would be so much more awesome if they would open up their rooftop bar before 1am. I'm down with the DJs, the dancing, and the general vibe. And I love that they require proof of vaccination, but it makes no sense in the era of Covid not to open up the outdoor space! I just don't understand having an amazing rooftop bar and not keeping it open, so that those of us trying to avoid a breakthrough case could get down. If you're looking for an outdoor space to party, this isn't it (unless you're willing to wait until 1am).
google avatar

Harrison T.

Yelp
The staff are incredibly rude, drinks are WAYYYYY over priced for what you get and it would be nice if they actually put alcohol in the drinks . Don't get me started on the security guards, I guess they just can't handle the gays because they are some of the rudest people I have ever interacted with in my life.

Yelp
Three floors with different vibes and music. Haven't seen anything like this is in Seattle so far. The dress code is laid back and it seems anything goes. This isnt really a NYC type formal dance club. It's has a more laid-back vibe. The bar on the ground floor is more of a lounge. The 2nd floor is more of a European dance club and the 3rd floor has a rooftop/open air dancefloor overlooking the Starbucks HQ. On the night I was there the crowd was very diverse in terms of both age and ethnicity which was surprising and great to see. The bar servers cocktails that are worthy of a speakeasy. 5 stars overall!

Yelp
$20 cover. Security is TRASH. Drinks are overpriced and taste horrible. Music is decent. You're better off throwing a party in your garage.

Yelp
This place is my go to every weekend. They never disappoint!! The vibe is always right and the people + staff are always respectful. Highly recommend

Yelp
This was literally the worst place we ever went in Seattle. They charged us $60 and then the person asked us to wear a mask while not wearing a mask. I do not recommend this shit hole establishment. Waste of money.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
This place was amazing. The drinks are daily priced and good, the bartenders are nice and the vibe is amazing. If you want to come party, come to this place. I almost didn't review it cause I don't want more people finding out about this hidden gem but the people deserve to know that this amazing diamond in the rough exists

Nick L.

Yelp
Cool place to go see live music in Seattle. Two different stages, two bars, sushi. Would recommend if there is an artist you like playing.
google avatar

Andrew W.

Yelp
This place used to be great, and it's still pretty good considering the terrible Seattle club scene. But the Achilles heal of ANY club are long lines to get a drink and/or the bathroom. The drink lines, and perhaps worse, the bathroom lines are ridiculous. I've been finding that the men go outside and piss in the alleys because of the long lines. Drink lines are equally terrible. Add a bad attitude by a bartender once you get there and it makes you wonder why you waited 30 mins in line outside, then paid a $20 cover for this BS. I won't be going back to monkey loft for a long time... Beware... they don't take cards for cover. Which is normal for a club that doesn't report that income.. it's how you pay the talent for the night.
google avatar

Yelp
3.5/5 - First time here. Pretty cool place with a patio and outdoor fireplace. Wasn't fond of the music which I feel is pretty foundational for a club-type venue. I came here on a Saturday night past 12am after meeting up with some friends at Aston Manor (which is just down and across the street). Cover was $10 and it's CASH ONLY. The vibe of the club was okay overall. The music was trancey. This was fine, but the music had no variation. It just had the same bass, beat, and rhythm for like 30 minutes straight... The dance floor felt kind of dark, more than I'm used to. There might've been other lights, but all I remember is a disco ball hanging near the center of the dance floor. I didn't try any drinks so I have no input on that. I found it kind of odd how they didn't have free water. They only sold bottled water. Maybe they have a reason for it? Might be a cool place to come when the weather is warmer and the days are longer, since they have a patio! - BC

Ray I.

Yelp
As much as I don't want to review this place since I'd rather keep it more of a secret.. good venues in the past have had their vibes ruined when the clubbing crowd discovered them, but I gotta be fair to post updates on this place. Monkey Loft has great music depending on the night and usually chill crowd. Sometimes the Aston crowd seeps in after they close, so it gets interesting after that. If you're looking for top-40 mashups and "EDM", don't come here. This place is great for peeps who like groovy house music. I will say that an improvement would be to offer free water readily available like most other places and more restrooms. When this place gets packed, expect to wait like half an hour in line for restrooms.

T D.

Yelp
Three levels??? When? I've been twice in last few weeks and the top floor (the best floor) was closed both times. It's so hot in there that no roof top access is a huge drawback. How about you advertise that "occasionally" three floors are open"! Can I get a third of my ticket price back?? Thought not.
google avatar

Rebecca P.

Yelp
I don't frequent clubs these days, but somehow got pulled in to this place... paying a cover to stand by the window wondering when I could give my ears a break from the pounding beats and eyes a break from all the grinding. Oh, I remember days like these, and it's fun to see, and definitely a small enough venue where, even if you're shy and "don't dance," you can feel like you're part of the party. But, meh... not my scene, but it gets 3 stars for being a scene to try out if that's your thing. Bottom line: If you like to dance, try it out!

Charles D.

Yelp
If you like to party waiting to lines this is the perfect place. Only 3 bathrooms with 1 toilet each. Ohh and they only have 4 bartenders.

Cameron F.

Yelp
Cool place and the different floors are fun but the management is annoying with the staff constantly guarding the bathrooms and poorly arrange bars with horrendous lines. Also the bar thinks it's Vegas charging you $28 for a double of Tito's..... definitely left sober after I saw those prices.
google avatar

Arap A.

Yelp
I've been to a few events hosted at this venue. There are three levels that I've seen with the main entrance leading up to the second floor. From there you can either go down to the street level room or up to the rooftop with has some pretty views behind the DJ booth. Parking can be difficult to secure as there are other venues close by that compete for it and it's not clear which spaces are ok to use sometimes. Lines for the bathroom and drinks take a very long time to the point where some patrons will leave to urinate out in the street.
google avatar

Mimi N.

Yelp
Overall, if you're looking for a place to party after the regular bars/clubs are closed, swing by here for the "after hours" a.k.a this place be bouncin' till 4am. Came here with a few friends on a Friday night and overall, it was a pretty good experience. The interior was super nice and cozy with the underground like vibe to it (despite the club being on the top floor of a building). As for the crowd, age range varied from 20s to 30s+. Some things to note: there are only two single bathrooms! So if you notice a line snaking around the back wall, that's the line for the bathrooms. For those who may have drank a bit too much: be careful when entering/leaving the building since you will encounter a steep set of stairs. Coat check is available and if your dancing feet starts hurting, there are comfy looking couches to sit at towards the wall. A slight downer to the night were the abundance of creepy men that tend to linger awkwardly near the sides of the dance floor. Most of the creepy men were harmless but quite a few were a bit too forward in their advances. Despite this factor, the awesome music made up for it. If you want to continue your night of going out, continue it here at this place in Sodo :)

Larry K.

Yelp
She quoted me 45 at the door for 1 but charged me 80 no signature required , no receipt. 100% was not a mistake by her , my mistake was not asking for a receipt just ran inside . Be very careful don't use a card here.
google avatar

Annie E.

Yelp
This is my favorite venue in Seattle! Amazing sound system showcasing the best local and international talent, security & bar staff are amazing and you can't beat the open air wood rooftop deck patio! It has the most amazing view of the magical Seattle City skyline! They do Yoga with Live DJ's on the rooftop In the summer! It almost feels like you have stepped into Berlin or Paris for the day! If you haven't been, go ASAP! You will Love it!
google avatar

Marco H.

Yelp
Tons of great music happens here. Especially the memorial day deck party. but remember 1. There is no atm at the door and the cover is cash 2. The lines for everything here are insane 3. Use the restroom before you get here or youn will be waiting forever
google avatar

Kshusha K.

Yelp
You have a fucked up floor on the rooftop. My heels don't like it. Pretty sure I'm not the only one. Consider to do something about it. P.e.r i.o.d.
google avatar

Ethan J.

Yelp
We had a decent time. There was a fistfight the night we went here between two girls, and the security didn't break it up right away. Drinks are good, location is weird. I recommend going here on a Friday. Cheers

Michelle M.

Yelp
Would love to hear more of a variety of house music styles with rhythms over beats. Chicago house, DC house, NY house. There is a lot of techno played. The bar is great and the staff is cool. Protected and safe space.
google avatar

Peter K.

Yelp
I'm somewhat torn about this place as I almost didn't go in. We came to see a DJ and the doors were suppose to open at 10. We got there at 10:30PM and the line was already down the block. We waited probably about 45 mins before they actually opened the doors and let people in. Once we got inside we realized the whole place was empty and was extremely puzzle as to why we had to wait so long. The venue was fine and the music was great and I would totally come back to see a show again if it weren't for the artificial "line" they create outside just to make it seem like the place is more packed than it is. It's a cheap marketing ploy that is done at the expense of their customer's time.
google avatar

Justin C.

Yelp
Be yourself. Open air, rooftop wood deck patio. Live local Djs. Two bars, hot bartender(s). Stringed lights. Sodo views. Free parking along the Ave. Open Super Late. Chillin'grooves will move you here, great for non-pretentious folk. No food nearby tho so get your grub-fix before or after.

Yelp
Ok so, my friend came visit from California and we took him to monkey loft for the stayinalive disco night a couple days ago. We didn't get tickets online so we waited in line to buy tickets at the door. We got there at around 11:10pm. About 20mins later we were told that the club had reached the opacity limit. And they changed the price from $20 to $25. As we can hear the music from the outside and I really liked it so we decided to wait a little bit longer. We waited another 20mins and got in. I thought it would be packed since they said it had reached the opacity limit and raised the price. But it's not...it's more than half empty. The top floor was kinda full but the mid floor and the basement were quite empty. I was disappointed to be honest. We got some drinks, drinks were on point tho. As we were dancing I happened to look outside of the window and saw 2 security guys beating up a guy... I'm not sure what happened but the guy seemed super wasted but um they were beating him up pretty bad. The cops came later then I stopped watching but I guess the whole thing killed my friend's mood so we ended up leaving.(SAD:'() Anyways, this might not be a very pleasant visit but I would give it a try one more time!

Yelp
Monkey loft is my favorite club in Seattle! Super good music and way better people than most other music venues in the area. I feel safe here and love that there's 2 floors plus an outside area! Some of my favorite memories have taken place here. Will forever love this place and their staff. Especially the ticket girl who has been there for years and is always so happy! You don't see that too often!

Yelp
This is the best club in seattle if you're into house, electronic, deep bass, industrial, and techno. Three floors, rooftop, great reasonably priced drinks, and friendly staff !
google avatar

Yelp
Great music! EPIC FAIL IN THE BATHROOM & BAR SITUATION! Lines like a mother fucker! Single bathrooms at a club are a nightclub sin!! Not enough bartenders!!!!! I mean come on!!!! We didn't come to this place to STAND IN LINE!! INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING!

Yelp
An interesting spot! If you're familiar with Honolulu's Chinatown scene, it's like that. More of an off-the-strip type casual bar that happens to have a dance floor. It's not snooty, it's not overly crowded, nor is it dirty or scary. The cover was cheapish, there's coat check and up the stairs you go. The bar was never too crowded, and the dance area was always filled with people just enjoying themselves. The night I went the DJ played a steady flow of dance music but nothing recognizable. All of the staff was very nice and upbeat. No creepers and a variety of folks of all ages, although mainly an older crowd but there were some young faces. VERY casual dress: everything from hippie tie dye pj pants to hipster high waist jeans. Almost everyone had sneakers on and most of the girls has messenger bags and jeans. Some obviously dressed up people float in around 2am when the fancy fancy clubs close. The alternative crowd seem to enjoy themselves here, it's very open and accepting type of place, there's just a big mix of everyone! There is a restroom which the line is always long for, but there's two couches and there's always a seat or arm rest to hang out on when you're tired. The outside portion opens up late at night, and it's a beautiful walk way to a huge outdoor seating area! They should have another DJ out there! There's a fireplace and heaters too, along with another restroom. Easy parking along the ave, overall great for a low key night and when you just want to be comfortable and hang out!

Yelp
This place is absolutely horrible. I've honestly never been here before but apparently going to the bathroom with a friend is treated like I'm distributing drugs. First off, there is NO sign saying one person allowed. I step in the bathroom with my friend, 30 seconds later someone is POUNDING on the door, I mean vigorously knocking while I am no joke on the toilet. I'm mid peeing and then he starts shining a flashlight through the door. Like are you serious?! I didn't have pants on and at this point I felt my privacy was severely violated. I hurried and obviously stopped peeing because I seriously believed they were about to bust open the door. Mind you, TWO girls had stepped out before we went in so obviously we had no clue this was un-allowed. Anyways, the second we step out of the bathroom, the security card aggressively pulled my arm and told me I'm getting kicked out. No warning? I've been to many clubs and if this is a rule most security provide a stern warning, which is acceptable. But here at Monkey Loft, for not opening the door when I literally peeling, I was thrown out immediately. Honestly, he viciously grabbed my arm and forcefully escorted me outside. I wasn't even resisting, he just felt the need to exert violent security. Oh, and it was my birthday. The security could not care less about being humane or understanding. I'm talking absolute scum of security. Horrible behavior from a grown man to two young females. The only reason I even give it one star is for the bouncer at the front entrance named 'Ashley' who was the only staff who genuinely cared to listen and provide kind hospitality. Seriously, go home after the club. Order a pizza. Screw this place and their security.

Yelp
I've been coming to Monkey Loft regularly for a few years now. The door and bar staff are on point, as is security. They're always willing to hear out a complaint and do their best to help create a safe, fun environment for everyone. The Monkey Loft, as well as all the people involved that host nights there, do their best to create a safe and unpretentious space where you can come to: - Dance - Be yourself - Have fun - Make friends This is NOT the club for you if you all you care about is image, getting laid, or status. This IS the club for you if you want to make deeper connections with other people who love music and dance, and want to have a great time in a safe environment. Overall, you'll find really genuine and kind people in attendance. Girls, you can leave your heels at home and dance in flats or sneakers if you want. Let your dance moves come out fully without worrying about tripping on your face. Rock what you want. As far as the space goes, it's got a beautiful wood floor (my old dancer knees say THANK YOU), and very swanky ambience. Also, the large back patio opens at 2am and pretty much rocks. This space is a safe haven for those in the underground house music scene, and a place of refuge for those who want to come enjoy themselves and dance without feeling like they're participating in a predatory meat market (I, for one, can't STAND clubs like that). Nothing but positive things to say about Monkey Loft and my experiences (probably nearing the 100+ visits, now) there. Love it.

Yelp
This place is awesome! always people with good vibes. It gets even better when they open the deck on the back. I recommend to buy the tickets online, that way you don't have to wait on the line for longer.
