The 19 Best Restaurants In Borough Market - London - The Infatuation

"Monmouth has some of the best coffee in Borough (if not all of London), and its filter coffee is especially good. Just try to get here early in the morning or mid-afternoon if you want to avoid the queues at peak times. It’s especially nice to stroll around with a hot cup of caffeine while fantasising that you might actually do something with those expensive vegetables you just bought." - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Jake Oliver, Daisy Meager, Sinead Cranna

The Best Places to Eat at Borough Market

"The lines stretching out of this bright, open café space are testament to a very busy market with but one coffee shop, it’s true. But they’re also testament to the status of Monmouth as a London institution: brewing single origin filter coffee way, way, way before it was cool through the filter cones lined up like sentries reporting for duty. The flat whites and all are good too, but drip is king." - Ed Smith

Monmouth Coffee $$

"A landmark destination for anyone who knows their lattes from their flat whites. Located on Monmouth Street, this shop has been roasting coffee beans onsite since 1978. It’s a local favorite — something that’s easily noticed thanks to the constant queue that snakes around the corner. Despite the line, the wait is rarely too long.Where: 27 Monmouth St, London WC2H 9EU, United Kingdom" - MATADOR_NETWORK

Google
Amazing coffee definitely worth the hype and then some 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I will be returning for another caffeine hit. A must visit. For non dairy people like me they do oat milk. I would be great if they had other non dairy options like coconut. The quality of the coffee was amazing. You can also buy coffee beans to take home. ☕☕☕☕🫘

There’s many things to like here. Pastries are great, service is very good, the set up of the whole cafe is very enjoyable to be a part of. Unfortunately the standards have dropped in the coffee over the last few years, flavour of the beans has gone down in favour of stronger more bitter cups. The milkwork is still really good. I’d still recommend a visit if you’re around Borough Market but I wouldn’t go out of your way to come here.

Google
Loved the coffee here. The shop is very popular and it was packed inside. The service was quick even with the full house. Staff were friendly and lovely to deal with. The coffee was spot on, will definitely come back. Highly recommended 👍🏼

Google
The cafe was already very busy when we arrived before 11:00am. They have a lot of coffee varieties to choose from. The Ice filter is pretty decent as they choose a light roast Peru fruity coffee, pairing well with hot weather. The Flat White is also well prepared. The coffee beans are a little bit pricey.

Google
Not bad but also not great. Honestly coffee taste is just average though, you might will be able to sit in to use the outlet with a good atmosphere and location when it is not in the peak time. They have a toilet as well.

Google
Not worth the wait if queue is long. Excellent coffee. Limited seating and a lot more standing space. Where it’s located, food is amazing for price. Wonderfully environmentally conscious with reusable cups having a deposit of £5 but you can return them. Service was efficient however.

Google
The place was heaving! So busy, so popular and so worth it. The staff were really friendly and worked really quickly to manage the large line that had developed. They have a no single use cup system which is nice. Grabbed a great long black, really strong flavour. They had run out of almond croissants and it was relatively early in the day so I’d recommend going early, we got the Pain au chocolat which was incredible. Great layers, buttery flavour. Completely worth it. Would highly recommend.

Google
Tried their flat white (amazing) with some pistachio financier. A great combination for me. There was a line but moved pretty quickly. Limited space of seating and also there is a fee for to go cup so be prepared. Definitely will come back for the flat white.

Yelp
Nestled amidst the vibrant stalls of Borough Market, Monmouth Coffee is a revered destination for coffee connoisseurs. This bustling coffee shop is always packed with eager patrons, drawn by the promise of an exceptional cup of coffee. On a recent weekday morning, I arrived shortly after 10am and found myself in a queue 15 people deep. The interior is industrial-chic, with a large communal table and standing counter space. The baked goods on display looked tempting, but I resisted the urge and stuck to a cappuccino. Cappuccino (£3.80 = $4.75 USD) = The coffee was incredibly smooth and flavorful, with a rich and complex aroma. It was one of the best coffee blends I have ever experienced. Overall, I was highly impressed with Monmouth Coffee. The coffee is exceptional, and the atmosphere is vibrant and energetic. While it may not be the best place to relax and enjoy a leisurely cup of coffee, it is the perfect spot to grab a delicious and invigorating caffeine fix on the go. Complimentary tap water is also available, with glasses located near the sink next to the standing counter space.

Yelp
Ordered: Flat White (~£4) Aya's take: Monmouth Coffee has tons of great reviews and seems to be well-known in London, so we decided to give it a try. This one is located inside Borough Market so you can imagine how chaotic it was to get a simple coffee. They do work quick as people come and go every few minutes. Upon entering, we were told they don't have any takeaway cups unless you buy one of their ceramic cups (I believe they were £5 each). I've never heard that before at the hundreds of cafes & coffee shops I've been to but regardless, we were planning to drink our coffee there so it didn't affect us. The Flat White was decent but not exceptional. It was smooth and bold but fell flat (no pun intended) as it was a bit watery rather than creamy. Nonetheless, it gave me the caffeine kick I needed to get through my day. Decent try and would recommend checking them out!

Yelp
Amazing cortado here! Small spot off the entrance to Borough Market. You pay a refundable deposit for your cup. Coffee was so good I was tempted to keep it as a souvenir.

Yelp
Much too crowded for my liking.. But I admit, the espresso is excellent! It's way too busy to have a relaxing coffee break so my preferred option is to get a coffee to go while I walk around the market stalls.

Yelp
I'd say I have to be disappointed with the care given to the pour over. It's a production yes but when you are selecting expensive beans, at least pour from a spouted kettle versus a pitcher and weigh the output! It's a little sloppy, as the ceramic is similar to a melitta, which is linear and they place your cup right underneath so the coffee ends up dripping over the sides. I've only had the espresso based drinks before so this foray into sampling other offerings was disappointing. The beans were good and forgiving of the technique but I was a little taken aback. If you have to choose, I'd select gentlemen baristas which is just a little bit over, past the cheese mongers.

Yelp
Mentally prepare yourself for the line if you're desperate for some coffee. This line wrapped around the corner and took around 20 -25 minutes to get through. They're known for their drip coffee but also offer up other traditional coffee drinks like flat whites and cappuccinos. Note that they are container free meaning that you'll have to make a 5 point deposit for your drink container and return it upon finishing. Why such a kind? Believe it or not, there's only one coffee stand in the market/district. It seems that they could use a second. My drip coffee was tasty and strong.

Kirk H.

Yelp
Quite possibly the best cortado I have ever had, and an amazing pain au chocolate to go along with it. Worth lining up for (didn't take long) and having to stand while we consumed our beverages and food.
google avatar

David A.

Yelp
Cool place for sure but I gotta be honest here, after all the reviews I was expecting super excellent coffee! Alas it was just solid, not among the best we had in London by far. Service was v good and I did like their no disposable cup policy (you can pay a refundable deposit on a reusable cup that looks like a typical disposable. It's easy to finish your coffee while perusing the market & return the cup before leaving the area.)
google avatar

Matt L.

Yelp
Really cool experience. Several coffee beans to choose from for pour over / filter or espresso style. I tried the Kenya by filter (bee house pour over) and it's really nice. Several of the other options looked fantastic as well. Also a really neat set up and cool spot to hang. Highly recommend it

Yelp
Pretentiousness. Sorry but 3,10 for a cup of drip coffee is just too hoity toity for me, and they don't bother with soy or almond milk, as I am sure they think we should be drinking the coffee black as the way they prepared it. The place is tiny, the line is out the door, and they're charging a King's ransom for coffee that will be consumed in 2 or 3 sips. Sorry but too many great places in London that I can afford to drink at. Not impressed.
google avatar

Yelp
Coffee so good that joe-hounds make a pilgrimage here for their espresso pours. After quaffing one then following it with a flat white (well, it was almost 2:00 p.m.) it's easy to see the deserved reputation. Want some competition? There's a stand or stall about every 10 yards in every direction around here but only Monmouth has the kind of line that shouts "we're the tops." Now HOW did my barista make the pour dark on one side and light on the other in the creama????
google avatar

Deborah C.

Yelp
Stumbled upon here around 9:15am on a Saturday after taking a stroll through Borough Market to have a sit before my next destination. It was pretty busy when I got there so I was happy to have gotten a seat. I ordered an iced latte with oat milk and it was good, but nothing special. Took off a star because of general health concerns - the pastries are set up to the side for people to self-serve but when it's bustling (which it was when I went), there's nothing protecting them from getting contaminated with who-knows-what.

Yelp
Foodie 101: when you see a long line, get in it. This has been my policy for decades and after years of traveling the globe, it has never once let me down. When I saw a line about 3 dozen deep for a coffee shop, I knew I had to queue up. Thankfully the line moved quickly, and you get free entertainment by watching the pour-over coffee being made which helps to pass the time. I asked the friendly baristas what the local favorite was and I was told "everything." That wasn't too helpful so I decided to go for a traditional macchiato. It was pretty good (not up to Italian standards but still had a nice frothy crema and a delicious bold nutty / chocolate note in the beans). If you like the roast you tried, you can buy beans in their shop. The have limited seating inside but it was unclear how you could secure one of the tables. You could pay around 5 pounds for a seat at the communal table -- but how and where do you do it? I just wanted my coffee to go and there are a few crowded benches out front (most people sitting weren't even customers but whatever, I can drink my espresso standing up with no issues). I wouldn't go so far as to recommend that coffee lovers make a special trip to try this place out, but coffee nerds (or those who simply love to revel in the artistry of coffee being brewed) should make a point to stop by. Monmouth Coffee is located in the busy Borough Market and is open Monday - Saturday from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm. CLOSED SUNDAYS!

Yelp
I'm not sure why there's always such a long queue of people waiting to get coffee here, but in my experience, it wasn't worth the wait. You can get similar quality at a Pret A Manger or Costa. I ordered a latte, and while good, it wasn't anything to stand up and shout about. The place was loud and not the most comfortable place to stay and chill. They don't seem to carry any alternative milks, so if you're allergic to or avoiding dairy for any reason, look elsewhere for that flat white, cappuccino, or latte. They also don't carry much, if anything, in the way of food. All they have are a few pastries and croissants. Perhaps I was just here on an off day, but I have had better coffee in the area just a short walk away near the Borough Market.

Yelp
As a New Yorker visiting London, I've found coffee here disappointing on average, not to mention there just aren't many non chain cafes period. Granted I've maybe done a random sampling in City of London, so maybe I missed out on the great ones? But to be fair in any high traffic area in NYC, you'll find decent coffee so *shrug*. Anyway so thank God for Monmouth Coffee. That first sip of their filtered coffee (Costa Rica beans today) was such a relief... so smooth and perfect. Definitely agree with all the reviews that compare them to Blue Bottle. I would say it's in the same league as good coffee places in NYC, at least based on my sample point of one today. (I liked the cappuccino a little bit less so just speaking about the filtered.) It is a small cup and a bit expensive, but you're also in a major city that doesn't seem to have that much great coffee, and in a touristy area. So I don't know if all the comparisons to " coffee back home" are fair. Pro tip: There's usually little to no wait to buy beans (smallest unit is quarter kilo), and you can also order coffee with your beans purchase. But to be honest the line I saw on a weekend afternoon, in such a touristy area is really not bad compared to any respectable coffee place in NYC. (For instance Stumptown in Ace Hotel seems to have a 20 people deep line any time of day..)

Yelp
Right near Borough Market. There's a few stores around London. Their coffee is fresh and strong! This cafe has two sides open so it makes the place seem much bigger. There was a line but it moved quickly. I ordered a flat white and the barista added the milk and art right in front of me before giving it to me. Great espresso to milk ratio. I totally understand the appeal to this coffee chain.
google avatar

Charmaine C.

Yelp
There was a long line when I arrived at the Borough market store but the line moved quickly. One staff went down the line taking orders. She was friendly and efficient! I ordered the Filter coffee of the day - Finca Chico from Costa Rica. It was mildly acidic with a nice body. It was definitely worth the hype!
google avatar

Stephen H.

Yelp
Don't be fooled by the long lines on the weekend. It's just coffee so they move through the line pretty quickly, often pre-taking orders in line so that your order is ready for you when you are paying. Good, flavorful coffee.
google avatar

Jenny I.

Yelp
I don't really like coffee but this is the first time I've actually enjoyed the coffee itself. My review might be a little unsophisticated in that I got an iced latte (purists will look down at me), but who cares(?)? When I went today the day's selected coffee was the Hipolita from Bolivia. It did have a peachy taste, which I found pleasant! (Usually, I hate mixing fruity with something not fruity.) While the coffee was awesome, I have to point out the star of the show: the cane sugar. I like my coffee very very very very very sweet. So I added literally ten tiny spoonful of sugar. Obviously, my ICED latte didn't melt the sugar but when the chunks of sweet sweetness shot up the plastic tube into my coffee-hole, I was amazed! It wasn't grotesquely saccharine!!! My eyes became hearts and after my trek around Borough Market, I came back to buy a package of the cane sugar (£3.5). And I lived happily ever after with my newly discovered cane sugar. The End.

Yelp
Finding a decent cup of coffee in London's been rough. It's currently my 7th day in London and every single coffee I've tried here has been really bad lol. Hence, I was super excited when I bumped into Monmouth. However, that excitement fell flat rather quickly - the coffee just wasn't good for me, only slightly better than the average cafes in London. I'm confused why this place's rated so high on yelp...
google avatar

Chris M.

Yelp
Very good coffee shop for a take-away coffee in Borough Market. I had a filter coffee (that day it was Malacara A from El Salvador) that was really delicate yet flavorful.
google avatar

Stephanie V.

Yelp
I was having lunch and shopping nearby at the borough market when I had a hankering for coffee. I saw this place and the line out the door and thought, "this place must be good." The line moved quickly, and as I approached the till I noticed that it's quite small inside with limited seating. It's probably not an ideal place to work from since getting a seat is difficult. I ordered a latte. It was good. Small, but good. (Take that with a grain of salt - I'm from America and coffees tend to be a lot bigger, so for £3.10 it didn't seem like much.) Price aside, the barista was kind of snobby to me. Perhaps the reason for the 4 star rating versus 5 stars. When I ordered the latte she asked me if it was what I really wanted. Not sure if it was about my American accent or something else, but it was just an awkward exchange. It wouldn't stop me from returning since the coffee was so good.
google avatar

Ruth W.

Yelp
A corner street coffee house by the Borough Street Market that attracts quite a few people. Coffee is good, nothing fancy nor frivolous or so hip that it comes from some strange and untraveled land. The small space shouldn't deter you. I guess it's intentional, to encourage conversations among friends. Or maybe strangers too.
google avatar

Lydia H.

Yelp
Okay, first off, I am from San Francisco. If you know anything about San Franciscans, I would describe them as true coffee snobs. Come on! We have Blue Bottle, Sightglass, Four Barrel, and many others. We are spoiled. I was at Borough Market when Monmouth Coffee caught my eye. When I first saw it, there was a line out the door. I opted out to wait to visit after lunch. I'm glad a decided to wait. I guess the lunch crowd went away and only a few people were at the shop. At first, I just wanted to grab a cup on-the-go, but the interiors were so cute that I decided to stay! I ordered a latte and it was delicious! I have to be honest though, the first sip was a bit too bitter. But as I kept drinking the latte, it grew on me and I really enjoyed it. The latte was made it well and they seem to ground the beans right in front of you! Awesome job! 10/10 would recommend this place.

Emily Q.

Yelp
I went here during morning rush hour on a Monday, the girl behind the register was very unprofessional, she kept chatting with other staffs and completely ignored me for a long time. There was not much seating space inside the shop, most people had to stand. Also they don't do take-away cups, you have to pay a deposit fee for a reusable cup. The coffee was okay, I had a regular latte and it was a bit watery for my taste. Overall, if you are in a rush and just want a quick breakfast coffee, I would not recommend this place.
google avatar

Sofia D.

Yelp
The BEST coffee spot in London!! Wish they had these on every corner! I had the cappuccino and it was so delicious, smooth & velvety! I normally take 2 sugars, but opted for only one to savor the nutty taste. It was that good!! Definitely worth the long line and wait & I see what all the hype is about.
google avatar

Steve L.

Yelp
Popped in for a quick latte and enjoyed it very much. I love that they have bowls of brown sugar for you to easily scoop with a spoon. The staff was friendly and fast, and the vibe was warm and energetic. No surprise this place is super popular!
google avatar

Annie H.

Yelp
Love the latte here. So good I had it a couple of times during my stay in London. Very popular so be prepared to wait.
google avatar

Nola G.

Yelp
This little coffee shop located at Borough Market is packed for a reason! Reasonably-priced delicious coffee with cool, friendly employees. The company started roasting and retailing coffee in 1978. They source and roast coffee from single farms, estates, and cooperatives. The coffee comes from various countries in South America, Central America, and Africa. You can feel the passion as soon as you step in the door. www.monmouthcoffee.co.uk
google avatar

Gina M.

Yelp
Great spot. Went in at about 10am on a Wednesday. Not much of a wait. Easily landed a spot at the bar. Ordered a cappuccino and an almond croissant. The cappuccino was delicious & strong enough for even the pickiest coffee drinker. The almond croissant was divine. It was a bit heartier than I'm used to, but somehow that made it even better, especially because it was a bit crispy on the outside. The filling was just perfect, not too sweet, not overpowering and was the perfect texture to complement the croissant. Definitely go!
google avatar

Nikki W.

Yelp
A few foodies recommended that we visit Monmouth Coffee if we were going to Borough Market and I have to say, I'm very glad that they did. Admittedly, when I saw the queue I was slightly put off - for early in the afternoon on a Wednesday it was already right out the door but I was desperate for a coffee. The queue went down very quickly and I noticed that they had a very efficient system of getting through the orders with one person sorting the espresso, one person heating the milk and then the final one pouring the coffee (with perfect latte art even time might I add!). The coffee was lovely - so smooth and slightly nutty. I'd say I could tell the difference between a good coffee and a bad coffee but that's normally as far as I would go but this really was delicious. There were a few seats inside but considering how busy it was at this time, i'd hate to see it on a Saturday morning. Definitely perfect for a takeaway pick-me-up.
google avatar

Jess L.

Yelp
Definitely as good as it gets in the London coffee scene. And the locals know it! This spot was packed midday, but don't get discouraged - the line moves quickly. If you want beans, go toward the right side. The woman working here was super helpful in helping me pick beans to bring back to my friend. There were over 10 varieties! (They'll grind the beans for you if you want.) The drip coffee is super smooth and gave me just the right amount of jolt. It has the perfect balance of sweetness naturally.
google avatar

Hannah H.

Yelp
Best latte I've ever had. There's a reason it's so popular! Stop by if the line isn't too long - it was a great start to my day and it will be for yours!
google avatar

Crysta I.

Yelp
Even though this place has a prime location in the Borough Market, don't let the crowds fool you. The coffee is crap, the staff is blatantly rude, and it isn't comfortable or enjoyable at all. I wish I hadn't bought into the fake hype and ventured into this tourist trap posing as a reputable coffee shop. If you love being looked at like you are an idiot for asking for the basic decaf vanilla latte that I've enjoyed around the world, then this is your place. They only have burned uncreative flat whites or espresso. Our flat white was gag-worthy and expensive for a tiny shot of pretentious crap.
google avatar

Jane K.

Yelp
I don't like coffee but I know for all you coffee lovers out there this is reallll coffee. It's quite cozy here and I like how the menu is super simple. I got a macchiato and I realized that this isn't like starbucks and real coffee. Definitely stop by here if you can!
google avatar

Angela W.

Yelp
On the weekends, Monmouth Coffee has a line out the door and around the corner. I came on a weekday, so the line was only out the door. I got their filter coffee of the day which was 3.10 aka way to expensive. The coffee was very good, but not worth the wait or the price tag.
google avatar

Molly M.

Yelp
Finding a decent cup of coffee in London is like finding a good slice of pizza in middle America...few and far between. That being said, I was VERY happy to discover a delicious cup of coffee located right outside the famous Borough Market. I got a filtered coffee which was smooth and packed the punch of caffeine I needed at 10:00am before taking on the city of London. Staff was very friendly and prices are reasonable. The fresh baked pastries looked and smelled great but I resisted the temptation of ordering one. However, I am taking 1 star off because I read after that they offer different types of filtered coffee from around the World but I was never offered anything. I would've loved to have tried something different, or received an explanation on the brew of the day that I had.
google avatar

Arshi K.

Yelp
Had the most delicious, smooth cappuccino here. Finally understand what the hype is all about. Yes, the coffee is divine - it had a strange soothing effect on me after a long day out and about. If I didn't know better, I would say it had medicinal properties! ;) I was lucky enough to snag a seat and didn't have to wait in a long line to get my fill of the beans. This was on a Wednesday afternoon around 4 pm ...so I would say odd hours work best if you want to sample their brew without a struggle.
google avatar

Susan L.

Yelp
We got an iced latte and an iced filter! Coffee was pretty good; I also liked the sugar they had. I wouldn't say it was particularly memorable but I liked how it tasted. Iced filter means hot coffee through a filter in a cup filled with ice (not cold brew / cold drip) - just a warning for those of you who might not know (like us LOL). Staff was also super nice about handing out samples of a new coffee for those of us standing in line. Separate lines for beans vs drinks so make sure you're in the right one!
google avatar

Marie U.

Yelp
There's no need to repeat what's already been said 250 times before me. I'll just take my cup of heaven in exchange for 5 stars and be on my way...
google avatar

Jesse S.

Yelp
I've been a loyal Monmouth customer for years, today I went to buy two lots of beans and was informed I'd have to waste my time standing in the line/queue with the dozens of Borough Market tourists who were there for takeout coffees and baked goods. Such a shame to see Monmouth disregard and disrespect their local customers in this way. I'll never shop at Monmouth again and I'll be sure to warn all my friends and visitors off of them as well.
google avatar

Diane C.

Yelp
My friend and I were curious about this place when we saw a long line out the door despite the cold and the crowded atmosphere of the market right next door. There are two separate lines, one to order and the other to buy coffee beans. It's obvious that this coffee shop places high importance on its coffee beans (& coffee) because from what I saw, it reserves almost half the space for customers to shop the coffee beans. I went with a small latte (& by small, it's super small - half the size of a tall Starbucks cup) and I was not surprised by the popularity of the place - despite the small size of the cup, the coffee here does not leave the bitter aftertaste in your mouth. You can also really taste the deep coffee flavor of Monmouth at every sip. Overall, highly recommend this place for a satisfactory coffee experience!
google avatar

Ira P.

Yelp
There's clearly a reason why Monmouth has a line down the block. I've only been once, so I can't yet put them in the same league with Blue Bottle, Stumptown, Fourbarrel, or Cafe Grumpy, but the coffees we had were strong, flavorful, and well-made, if a bit small. The pastries were very good, the seating area was packed but laid out well and nicely designed, and the staff were friendly despite being in a hurry to keep up with all the customers. The line definitely gets out of hand very quickly - we arrived around 8:30 on a Saturday and only waited a few minutes, but by 9am it was 20 people deep. I'd say you should get there early and double order!
google avatar

Lorrie M.

Yelp
It shouldn't come as a surprise that this place with so many great reviews is one of the BEST coffee places in London. On any one day, even when it's not so nice and sunny outside, there is a giant line wrapping around the corner and people cranking out coffees inside in a perfect assembly line order. Although it seems mass produced, this coffee is anything but. The smooth creamy lattes have that perfect balance of nutty flavor and frothy foamy top. This place is good, it's beyond good, it's delicious. The wait is actually not too bad, definitely better than Blue Bottle in SF on some days (I've waited for over 40 min before!). Definitely come visit!
google avatar

Miriam W.

Yelp
I'm allergic to coffee (tragic, I realise) but I am happy to accompany my friends here. To one visiting San Franciscan I said, "I think this is the Blue Bottle of London." To which he replied, "This is way better than Blue Bottle." My most coffee-savvy pal was not as impressed but I'd say if you're less an aficionado and more a coffee fan you'll dig Monmouth.
google avatar

Wayne H.

Yelp
I like this place on weekday. There's enough staff to keep the wait short and sweet. On weekends, however, it can be sheer mayhem; a line can be seen wrapping around half a block on a Saturday afternoon. Coffee is brewed per serving, not en mass. Not that I require my coffee to be so gingerly prepared or regard anything not brewed in my witness as being past its prime, but I wouldn't expect anything less from such a proud boutique establishment. On that note, do remember to check out their pastry and quiche presentation in the rear of the store - it's lots of fun.

Yelp
Perfect coffee, tasty pastry, good vibes!!!! We were in their two places and both of them offer perfect coffee and a wonderful service. There is no soy/almond milk!

Yelp
This is great little cafe but you will battle locals and tourists for a place to sit as it is small, but very quaint with excellent atmosphere. We had a latte and a regular coffee and both were great! Excellent taste and body. The cafe is across the street from the borough market, a great market that if you are in London for more than a few days should really visit after you get the big attractions off the list.

Yelp
I always come here before venturing around Borough Market. It is always packed and can be tough to find a table, but well worth it if you can. They have communal jars of jam and butter for their toast, which is pretty awesome.
