"For date-night Vietnamese, head to Monsoon on Old Main—it’s a little smaller than the Capitol Hill location, but serves the same menu, with dishes like claypot catfish and crunchy drunken chicken. And much like their Capitol Hill counterpart, they serve a dim sum brunch on Sundays complete with shrimp dumplings, pork buns, and plenty of mimosas." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley, gabe guarente

"The downtown Bellevue location of Eric and Sophie Banh’s fine-dining Vietnamese restaurant serves dishes made with the same care that has wowed diners in Seattle since the original restaurant opened in 1999. Expect dishes not found at other Vietnamese restaurants in the area like fresh rolls filled with avocado and raw ahi tuna and perfectly-balanced cumin lamb made with house-fermented soy beans. Though more common, the subtly flavored green papaya salad is just as impressive as the other dishes, achieving a perfect balance of salt, acid, sugar, and funk." - Brett Bankson, Eater Staff

Google
Vietnamese Kitchen: A Great Find in Old Bellevue. I absolutely adore Vietnamese Kitchen. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, and the restaurant itself has a really unique and interesting design. I've dined there twice now, and both experiences were fantastic. There was no disappointment at all. If you're exploring Old Bellevue, I highly recommend stopping by Vietnamese Kitchen. You won't be disappointed.

Google
Upscale Asian fusion food, with a different lunch and dinner menu. My favorite dish was the chicken wings. The pho cocktail was very strong and disappointing. The lunch menu looks more casual, so I would like to come back sometime to try the pho.

Google
Great place to eat, this is was recently by West Elms employee. The food was great and the location was clean. Thanks for Rachel for serving us. She was amazing!

Google
Overall I think the food is good. I like that multiple layers of flavors and taste from the roasted duck and the porridge. However, the service here is absolutely terrible. I have never experienced any service this bad or should I say there is no service. First of all, a 20% tip is added to party of 5 without notice ahead. And I barely received any service that matches that tips - no “how’s the food”, no removing/changing plates, 0 times adding water. Even worst, I waited for a dish that never showed up and the waitresses blamed me for “not ordering that” with her eyes rolled up, after she confirmed and told me that dish should “come out soon” 40 min ago. We also noticed that the table of 2 next to us is treated nice and comfortable by the same person. So I will not recommend any large party visit here, unless you want to pay 20% tips for no service.

Google
If you are gonna charge $20 for a lunch bowl, at least peel a clean egg and some chewable vegetables? There’s not much lunch choices in Bellevue so I don’t have much expectation. this one still beyond disappointment… Can we have more quality restaurant owner here to straighten things up? More quality food and low price please!

Andrew

Google
The venue is beautiful and clean, while the food is mostly good, the service was ok. They keep forgetting what we requested. For a similar price I would probably go to Ba Bar instead, much higher quality food and more flavor.

Google
As a Vietnamese person, I don't normally go out of my way to eat at a fancy, fine-dining Vietnamese restaurant - I prefer small hole-in-the-walls - but this place did not disappoint whatsoever. The food was really delicious! The portions were good, and we were all super full and happy at the end of the meal. The catfish was really good, as well as the wok noodles and crab fried rice. Definitely recommend the red platter to try a bunch of different Viet dishes.

Google
Great experience! The Sesame chicken was great, along with all the other appetizers and entrees we ordered. Customer service here was up to par. Nice mix of music was being played to add to the vibes. Parking may be tough to find in the evenings.

Jackie G.

Yelp
Ordered salad and an app and entree. Asked the bartender that the entree be delayed until we finished apps. I was emphatically clear. The apps came, two minutes later the entree. He said to server take it back and give to someone else. 15 minutes later server brought it back- it had sat under a heat lamp and was soggy. Couldn't get bartenders attention he was busy selling the mixer he makes for his own business to another patron, tastings and all. Not a good experience.

Brian W.

Yelp
Very modern Seattle-area vibe with an appropriate menu. Asian pear salad is nicely presented, service is good, and the clay pot catfish is completely missing the clay pot. Tastes pretty good tho, as did the combination vermicelli noodle. 3.5 stars. If you want an authentic greasy Vietnamese place go elsewhere, but for a hipster area of Bellevue, Monsoon fits in nicely.

Sally L.

Yelp
Service was good. We were a large party and the restaurant was very accommodating for us. Ordered the pork belly, ribs, albacore and tofu fresh rolls, papaya salad, and pear salad as appetizers. The pork belly and spare ribs bad good flavoring. These all tasted good and fresh. For the main I ordered the drunken chicken. This was just okay. The chicken wasn't that crispy. The sauce flavor was a bit off. Not sure what they were going for.

Ana S.

Yelp
Customer service doesn't mean anything in this place. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, the service was poor. The host didn't greet us or even acknowledge us properly--just stared silently until we were seated. Once at the table, we waited 45 minutes before realizing our order hadn't even been processed. Our group of three placed our order, but the manager later checked on us and asked if we had ordered anything. It turns out our server forgot to process it and was busy making drinks for another group at the bar instead. When the food finally arrived, no one checked in on us during the meal. The lack of attentiveness and communication made the whole experience unpleasant. When the server eventually asked how the food was, I shared my honest feedback about the poor service. I regret spending my time and money here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone based on this experience.

Breeze N.

Yelp
Came here for weekday lunch. We ordered grilled pork belly and yellow curry boar. Unfortunately, my husband got food poisoning from the yellow curry boar. The boar was also pretty pricey as well. Pork belly was tasty. Service was alright nothing bad nothing special. Plenty of free parking in the back garages so that is nice for being downtown.

Ultraman S.

Yelp
Cute Vietnamese "fusion" restaurant in downtown Bellevue. Nice environment and great service. The foods are just okay, it's not authentic Vietnamese food but more like asian fusion with Vietnamese takes. I liked the grilled pork belly and tuna spring rolls. I won't call it authentic Vietnamese food with the flavor, and the portions is really small with the price they charging. If you are looking for a real Vietnamese restaurant, this is not the one for you. But great place for a fancy lunch. Order drunken chicken, the rice is poorly cooked with Asian standard. Pickled onion and pineapple played interesting taste (not for good) in this dish.

Emelina W.

Yelp
Pricy, and not good service. I went there twice. The first time got lunch special, but it's pricey for a pho. Second time I went there, I sit there for more than 10 minutes after being seated, but there is No water, no hello, no staff came, no menu. Even there were staff walking around us, giving dishes to the next tables, and they didn't even bother to ask us. So I had to leave. Will never come back to this place even it's just 1 minute walk.

Gretchen P.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was sooo good not to mention our drinks! The service was great as well! I look forward to coming back again and again! The restaurant was super cute and it was decorated for lunar new year.

Lisa P.

Yelp
Reservations are needed for a Friday night. The reception area is too small and the restaurant had guests waiting at the door (blocking it) for seating. Our server was attentive and courses were timed nicely and brought to the table as prepared, which allowed us to share and enjoy each dish. Water was available in a carafe for refills. The Spare Ribs were delicious, and the damp washcloths were appreciated! We also had the Duck Confit, the Watermelon Salad, Vegetable Fried Rice, and the Drunken Chicken. The chicken was awkward to eat due to the size of the pieces, and I had to break it apart using my chopsticks. It was tender and easy to do fortunately. Lighting was sufficient to see my menu and the faces of my party. I don't remember music, which is just as well since the sound level of conversation in the dining room was significant. Parking was difficult due to the location being on Main Street, which has multiple restaurants and retailers. We had to park in an alley behind the restaurant, enter the (clearly marked) door at the back of the building, go up a flight of about 20 stairs, and exit the building to enter the front of the restaurant. This process, paired with the entrance to the restaurant itself, was not especially accessible for those with mobility challenges. There may have been an elevator, but it didn't advertise access to our destination. I would return again, but allow time to drop people off at the door before parking. Star rating reflects difficulty in access and noise. Service and food/beverages were great!

Rebecca Q.

Yelp
Wonderfully crafted (and strong) cocktails! Especially loved the whiskey rebellion and even the lemon pearl with the odd basil seeds. The bao buns were so amazing and the fried chicken was perfectly salty and juicy. Great service as well!

Isabella H.

Yelp
Upscale Vietnamese-influenced restaurant in the heart of Downtown Bellevue. I've been here a few times and left feeling full, but not satisfied. It's not the most impressive or authentic Vietnamese food, but great ambiance and service.

Meg T.

Yelp
While in town at the in-laws condo we ended up having dinner at Monsoon's Bellevue location. After we were seated, the service was prompt and helpful. The honey and I ordered the pork belly and duck confit buns and although we enjoyed them, they just didn't stick in my mind as particularly outstanding. The restaurant felt a bit crowded, and the tables a bit squished so taken with the fact they don't have indoor seating, I'm just not that likely to return.

Alvin W.

Yelp
Big fan of the food! The restaurant certainly seemed upscale, clean. The waitstaff was professional and prompt. There weren't particularly standout experiences or moments, but we were hella thirsty afterwards -- the food might have too much MSG? That or it was just too salty. Here was what we ordered: * Pork Belly: Just an appetizer but my favorite dish nonetheless! Despite the pork belly slices being thin, the pieces were sufficiently juicy and tasty. Just enough fat and not too much. * Catfish Claypot: I'm not normally a big fan of fish, but this claypot hit the mark. Plenty of pepper (my favorite) and I loved the taste. It was a bit *too salty, which I appreciate the rice bowl was for. However, I still wish there was just one fewer glob of salt added. The fish melted, had plenty of flavor, and wasn't dry at all! I would recommend both dishes, and I myself would go back for the pork belly at least. If future Yelp reviews point to less salty dishes, I would certainly come back for the catfish as well.

Kumar V.

Yelp
Loved the food, loved the ambience. Service was a little lackluster. Asked for a fork and that took like a lifetime even after a reminder. Really loved drunken chicken. Veg fried rice was so so good, crispy and smoky. Loved the aroma and flavors. Veggie crispy roll was good too. Kind of interesting.

Sarah C.

Yelp
grilled pork belly, duck confit buns, and catfish claypot were a hit. but service was a bit slow and they totally overcooked the beef tenderloin (it was well done and burnt but they said this was the regular temp..?)

Dan H.

Yelp
Food was solid like 3.5-4/5. Imperial rolls were small but tasted good dipped in the fish sauce and even wrapped in the lettuce. Not sure if it's supposed to be eaten that way. Comes with a bunch of greens and a small pile of vermicelli noodles though. Tenderloin was suuuper tender. I thought it was great. My friend thought it was bland. I disagreed and thought it was good. Onions were delish. The greens and tomatoes were ok. Not sure if that's supposed to be eaten with it. Drunken chicken had such a yummy crispy texture and flavor. That was our favorite. Farmers curry tasted like panaag curry. It was good with lots of vegetables. Order with side of rice. Service was okay. Nothing notable. Except the lady next to us noticed a bug in her meal and he didn't apologize which we found a bit unappetizing and weird. Ambiance is great. Fun atmosphere.

Yelp
Was visiting Bellevue/Seattle and read all the good reviews so we decided to come and try. We got there before the crowd came so we got a small table near the window. They have bar side and lounge/restaurant. We sat in the lounge side which can accommodate larger groups or families. We ordered the Asian eggplant, Green papaya salad, Claypot clams and Bo La Lot ( marinated flank steak wrapped in la lot leaves ). The flank steak was super tender and went well with the leaves. The leaves had a hint of roasted flavor but didn't take away from the steak. The eggplant was really good with the subtle coconut taste to it. It was done right where the eggplant was soft but still had texture to it. It didn't taste mushy. The claypot clam was interesting as it had sour cream and chives on top. Well at least that's what we thought it was. It was different as it was like pasta sauce with sour cream. The service was excellent. The staff came around to make sure everything was going well, they removed the empty dishes quicklyl and they also provided good recommendations. We will be back to try other dishes.

Christy K.

Yelp
We don't go here as often as we used to because they've been increasing the flavors and salt in their dishes. You need water after each bite. Nevertheless, the food is delicious, but we wish they'd tone it down a bit. We typically get their grilled pork belly, imperial rolls, catfish claypot, and drunken chicken. The portions aren't huge, but you will be full--just don't expect leftovers. There is an air of pretentiousness. The service is efficient but not necessarily warm and inviting, almost as if they are too busy for you?

Vicky T.

Yelp
The food was delicious and flavorful. It came out pretty fast. Great service and ambiance too !

Jonathan Z.

Yelp
Monsoon was good - I got a lemongrass beef vermicelli noodle, which is a dry noodle with beef skewers. It also came with some fried vegetable rolls. The beef skewers are pretty flavorful, but other stuff was just fine.

Sarah F.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Bellevue. Everything from the quality of the food, to the service is amazing. My fiancé and I crave Monsoon constantly. Our go to order includes the crispy imperial rolls, wokked wheat noodles, drunken chicken and the duck confit buns. We also get the pork spare ribs often (not pictured). Everything has such a fresh and unique flavor. The pieces of chicken in the drunken chicken dish are huge and juicy (pictured with half the dish missing because we couldn't wait to eat before taking a photo!). I have never tasted a noodle dish like the wokked wheat noodles-It's light, but so flavorful at the same time, and I love the mushrooms that are mixed in. The crispy imperial rolls are amazing and pair so well with the duck buns as a starter. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation for Monsoon asap!

Brian R.

Yelp
Don't know what some of the Yelp gripers are complaining about. Monsoon is all kinds of awesome! Six stars. The Yellow Curry Wild Boar was the best Vietnamese inspired dish that I've ever tried. Amazing flavors passing through the bites. Tender meat. Just enough heat. Came back for the clay pot catfish. Wow! The curry prawns were excellent too. They have one of the best whiskey bars in Bellevue, and probably in Seattle proper. Huge eclectic inventory that needs a bit of organizing, but fun for folks who like variety. The dining room is casual upscale. Compliments the amazing playing of the food. Service was both total hospitality and prompt. Walked so I can't complain about parking in Old Bellevue. It's a chain, but a small, well run one. Elite Yelpers. This is a place that you need to drop by.

Nina S.

Yelp
Been here a couple more times since our last visit from way back....just been behind with my reviews (sorry!) Needless to say, we like this place! Located on Main St, parking can be tough, but they have parking located behind the restaurant. Check out their website for directions. All the dishes we've tried have been great! I recommend trying them all! (All the food listed here were the dishes we've tried from all our visits...not in one sitting). - Green Papaya Salad - Green papaya, grilled prawn, mint, caramelized shallot, peanut $14.50 - Bo La Lot - Marinated flank steak wrapped around la lot leaves $15 - Crispy Imperial Rolls - Carlton Farms pork, shrimp, nuoc cham $13.50 - Grilled Pork Belly $13 - Street Platters - Served to assemble tableside, with rice vermicelli, butter lettuce, pickled carrots, pickled daikon, mixed herbs. We've tried the Red Platter - Lemongrass chicken, beef skewer, bo la lot, jumbo prawn, crispy imperial roll, nuoc cham $33 - Grilled Pork Chop Lan Rock pork chop, gai lan, tamarind sauce $29 Their cocktails are good too!

Crystal M.

Yelp
Great lunch or dinner spot located in old town Bellevue. Parking can be a challenge but if you're lucky, there's spots on main street and a few parking garages. Customer service service was amazing. Good recommendations. . Been there a few times and I always get Vegan entrees. So far, so good.

Neha B.

Yelp
I wasn't too impressed by the food or service here after dropping by for dinner with a friend. Having heard great things about the food here, I had pretty high expectations for our meal. I ordered the vegetarian Lemongrass Tofu and my friend ordered the Drunken Chicken. The tofu wasn't as crispy as I had hoped, and the dish was pretty bland overall. After requesting some extra hot sauce on the side, it was better but I wouldn't order this dish again. My friend liked the chicken but didn't think it was quite worth the price. The service seemed busy throughout the night (understandably so), but we were a little confused that it took a while to signal the waiter for the check when they had started closing up the store around us. Overall, I probably wouldn't re-visit but if I did, I'd definitely try something else off the menu.

Tori S.

Yelp
Very small portion, tastes were only ok. Catfish clay pot has about 5 pieces of fish.......not full deck size, about half of a deck each piece, for almost 30 dollars, I'd expect more, especially it's only catfish.

John N.

Yelp
The food was ok nothing special but it was pretty expensive. $33 for the red platter The service was horrible. This is not a mom and pop Vietnamese place where I expect the service to be bad. The server asked I wanted anything else and I said "no can I get the check" then he just walked away. I had to go find him to get my check. Then he asked if I wanted a receipt, "I said yea" but then he walked away again without my receipt. Probably the weirdest experience I've had at a restaurant

Fiona H.

Yelp
I find it extremely unsanitary that your server would stand on countertop with SHOES ON. I don't care there's no food on the counter, anything can be placed there and then moved to a food prepping counter. Absolutely disgusting. I hope your food rating goes down.

Eva M.

Yelp
To me, Monsoon is boring. There, I said it. Got it off my chest. They are overpriced, have small portions, and their flavors lean towards sweetened instead of savory. On a lazy weekend, when we didn't want to drive farther for real Viet food, we settled on giving Monsoon a second chance. Fail. The interior is gilding the lily - dramatized deco with lots of gold and red, depending on where you look. The service was sufficient. We were seated at a corner facing the bar, a bit out-of-sight, out-of-mind. The Food: Crispy Imperial Rolls, $13.50 - 2 Stars These went on a diet and lost too much weight. So tiny, yet so expensive. Drunken Chicken, $23 - 1 Star Served with yu choy (a veggie), the most popular dish according to Yelp is glorified orange chicken from Panda Express without the orange flavor. Really look at it... Prawn Curry, $28 - 2 Stars Menu: Wild caught prawn curry, lemongrass, roasted peanuts, ngò om The curry easily dominates over the lemongrass, so the flavor profile is not as complex as the menu description suggests. At least it wasn't sweet. This dish is also small. Rice is an additional $3 for a cup. Eeek.

Miku T.

Yelp
I came here with some friends and split some of the menu items family-style - definitely a recommendation to get the most of your meal here. The food was good - portions were a little small for the price it was, but we also got 2 appetizers and one entree to split between us. I really enjoyed all 3 of the plates we got. The drunken chicken was very crispy and tasted good, and I liked the self-wrap option of the spring rolls we got. I went during late-lunch time and it was very empty; I didn't need to make a reservation. Regardless, the food took a little long to come out, but we weren't in any rush or anything so it was fine. This restaurant is great for families and groups or just by yourself, as you can get things family style, or you can get a platter to yourself, which I saw some people doing. Overall, a good meal, but definitely not a must-go-to around here.

Sophia L.

Yelp
Was in and out of here pretty quick, about 30 minutes. Service was super fast but also food was not the most impressive or memorable. Got the drunken chicken for $21 and the prawn curry for $28, so pretty pricey, but the portions were super small in comparison. Drunken chicken tasted a bit like orange chicken and the curry only had like 5 prawns in it. The lighting in this restaurant was also super dark, and it made looking at the menu hard.

Tony T.

Yelp
Pretty large menu and a fun place to meet in downtown Bellevue. They have an Asian inspired menu and our group of 6 people ordered way too much food. The service was good and you can access the menu via QR code. The food was good but a bit pricey.

Julie D.

Yelp
Delicious upscale Vietnamese food in a lovely atmosphere? Sign me up! My boyfriend and I came here for date night last week and loved it. We didn't have a reservation, but were seated immediately on a Friday night. For drinks, he ordered the Manhattan flight and I got a Chardonnay. Both were pretty typical. The food was very good though! We got the Green Platter, which is a great variety of vegetarian items, and our particular favorites were the smoky cabbage and the mushroom skewers. We also ordered the Grilled Pork Chop, which was so tender and perfectly charred on the outside. The sauce was also a tasty accompaniment! The only thing that wasn't stand out were the Spicy Green Beans, which tasted only okay. The food's a bit on the expensive side, but I think it's well worth for the quality and portion sizes. I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu!

Ciara L.

Yelp
Easy 5. People ask me for dinner recommendations in Bellevue and most of the time I'll say Monsoon. Easily one of the best Asian foods in downtown Bellevue. It's located in Old Bellevue which is super charming. Banana cake is a must. Crispy imperial rolls are a must. Presentation is so good here.

W L.

Yelp
Vietnamese inspired fine dining. No pho here. Moonsoon was ranked in Eater as one of the top iconic places in Seattle. Because we were in Bellevue in a rainy day, we decided to try the Bellevue. The hamachi spring roll was delicious, wonder why this is not more of a common item elsewhere. Great service and ambience. Everything great except catfish claypot was a bit saltier, so giving a 4. Other than that, a great place for fine dining

Jon M.

Yelp
TL;DR - easily the best meal my team had during our trip. We were initially hesitant due to the mixed reviews, but do yourself a favor and come here. We ordered the Red Platter, Catfish Claypot, Saigon Dungeness Crab, Drunken Chicken, Asian Eggplant, Spicy Green Beans, and Crab & Shrimp Fried Rice. Everything had great flavor and was devoured. We finished with one of each of the desserts, with the Champagne Mango being the consensus star. The only annoying part was auto-gratuity for a "large group" of 5. Otherwise do yourself a favor and come with a group so you can try a little bit of everything on the menu.

Chris P.

Yelp
5 years later... this hotpot is STILL BUBBLING!!! I deleted the Yelp app because their strong arm sales tactic pissed me off as it small business owner myself. However, I came back to read my old review and to state that this catfish hot pot is still one of the best things I have ever eaten.

Gotham C.

Yelp
Good vietnamese food in a modern ambience and good service too. Tried both pho and the lemongrass tofu bahnmi and both were excellent.

Joyce L.

Yelp
Work lunch is the best lunch especially when it's looks like this. The papaya salad was so good! The flavors popped and it was so fresh. Had the prawn vermicelli and their imperials rolls are my favorite. For a super busy lunch hour, the food and service was quick and they were very friendly I will definitely be coming back here soon.

Chris B.

Yelp
Came for early brunch on a Saturday. It's really pretty, we sat in the bar for more natural light. Had the combo noodle bowl. Flavorful chicken, beef and prawn. Very colorful dish, so satisfying. Ordered the green papaya salad and the banana bread dessert, both so good. Many non alcoholic drink concoctions also. The young lady working the bar was also our server. She was so kind, genuine and her service absolutely lovely, so refreshing for Bellview. I'll be back, there are so many dishes I want to try. Tricky to find parking in the back inside an apartment complex garage, but it's free.

Staci F.

Yelp
Food was amazing! We had the catfish clay pot, drunken chicken, red platter and cauliflower. I would definitely recommend the catfish clay pot even if not a fan of catfish. This was really flavorful and also had alot of onions in the pot so eating the sauce and onions over rice would still be a winner. Our server recommended the cauliflower as it wasn't on the menu but it was a good vegetable dish with all other protein dishes we had. Our server was great and food came out really fast! However I would definitely recommend making a reservation as our wait was an hour long.

Letitia J.

Yelp
This is a relatively upscale Vietnamese restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and nice vibe for a date, but the price and the authenticity of the food is not quite as impressive. We got the Pho Bo (brisket) and the Green Papaya Salad. The portions are small. I'm used to the big pho bowls that I'd order at hole in the wall Vietnamese restaurants, so I was surprised when I got my small bowl here. Of course, the presentation was very nice and pretty, but in terms of the food... I don't know. The broth wasn't anything special, the noodles were a bit on the grainy side (which I didn't mind too much)... but what I DID mind was the little amount of brisket they gave me! My pho really needed more brisket, and I found myself eating the noodles and drinking the soup for the last 3/4 of my meal. My friend had the the Green Papaya Salad and said it was good. She did wish the portion was bigger, but that was it. I'm glad I tried this place - it was a nice place to hang out, and the service was great so I do feel bad about giving it 3 stars, but if I were to get Pho again, I'd go to a hole in the wall Vietnamese place!

Nikita B.

Yelp
Food was delicious! We ordered the imperial rolls, pork buns, and the drunken chicken - the star of it all was the drunken chicken - highly recommend! We also got a Vietnamese coffee which was super strong and will get you wired - honestly if you're a coffee fan like me you will love it. Our service was super nice and friendly! We didn't have a reservation and were able to get a seat. The ambiance inside was cute also - I loved the decor. Overall great time I just wish they had more menu options. We got the brunch menu because we came on a Sunday around 2 pm but I wonder if the full menu is any different? I didn't ask, but never the less- food was good

Richard L.

Yelp
Ordered the combo vermicelli, beef luc lac and the chicken wings. Everything was delicious. Wings had perfect crunch and the neat was moist. The beef was cooked perfectly and the salt was great to season with to your own taste. We should've asked for more lemon to add with the pepper and salt for dip. Waiter was very attentive and courteous. Ambiance is very nice and very clean. Great little spot.

Chung T.

Yelp
I am a vietnamese and I try this restaurant today to see how the food was, and I have to say the food was just meh because I ordered a drunken chicken rice and it was sour more than panda express. Also, the waiter is horrible. The worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. she has a perm short hair with a bad attitude. She was never checking on me and my wife at all. when the time I make a payment, she did not instruct me on the tapping screen. Why don't you just tell the customer please just tap, and that should be it. she did not say a single word and gave me the weird look. I am still nice and tipping her but all I can say it was a bad experience for both me and my wife. I will never come back here again.

Tried this restaurant for the first time because of good google reviews. Price was reasonable for the nice/upscale atmosphere and location. However the pho is not authentic. If anyone is looking for authentic pho, this is not the place to go. Service was mediocre, waiter didn't show much hospitality, just did the minimum and actually tried looking the other way when I had a question after I paid. Recommending Square Lotus 10x over for pho and service.

Yelp
Since we moved to the Seattle area there are a handful of restaurants that have become what I call the solid go tos, and Monsoon is one of the strongest on the Eastside. So charmingly located on Main Street and Bellevue, the space is modern and perfect for a date night or gathering with friends. This visit was a dinner with a few girlfriends and I definitely recommend eating family style. Every dish on the menu has been consistently delicious Highlights Asian Eggplant- a basic dish on Asian menus but theirs is consistently cooked perfectly with just the right hint of sweetness and perfect non-soggy texture. Prawn Curry - balanced full fragrant flavor, delicious prawns. Bo La Lot - also just the right flavor and texture. Pairs and presents well with the cold noodles and rolls. You know we'll be back soon!

Yelp
Jojo and Kenney are the epitome of hospitality!!!! It's always about the people. But it always is a plus when the food and cocktails are amazing!

Yelp
Service was great. The main entrees were quite tasty. I got the drunken chicken (fried) but very flavorful and large pieces of chicken. My husband got the pork and liked it as well. Would skip the appetizers though. The chicken wings were mediocre at best. Not very flavorful. And then the worst appetizer which was a complete waste of money was the yellow tail rolls which quite literally had no taste or hit of yellowtail.
