"Where we discovered pickle backs are awesome. Dogs are welcome and they have cocktails on tap, so you can get back to talking with your friends about how weird it was to run into Jessica last week." - Hum Creative
"Opened in 2010 with business partner Kate Opatz, Montana was a widely celebrated Capitol Hill dive and the first Seattle bar to have cocktails on tap; it sat next to Rachel’s Ginger Beer until RGB’s production moved to a separate industrial space. Beyond its innovations, Montana was a place where Rachel’s fiercely protective, nurturing hospitality showed up — she would close the shop for someone in distress, pour shots of fernet and ginger beer, and shepherd people through moments of crisis, creating a sense of community that people remember as much as the bar itself." - Harry Cheadle

"Montana is more than just a holding ground for people waiting on a “your table is ready” text from Kedai Makan around the corner - it’s a chill dive bar that’s perfect for hanging out over a few beers or cocktails. As for the on-tap ones, the mules are a little watery and the palomas pretty basic, but the kiwi cucumber punch is very tasty. Have fun watching movies on the big projector and looking at the explosion of grafitti on every single surface of this place." - Aimee Rizzo
