I always make it a point to swing by here when I’m in Montauk. They have of the best beer in New York. I’m a big fan of the summer ale and the surf beer. The watermelon seasonal was great too. It’s a small location but very chill and a nice place to relax on a warm and sunny day. Worth checking out!

Google
Great brewery with excellent draft beer and a fun atmosphere. Go early, it gets busy fast. We waited until after Memorial Day to skip the crowds. Scored a cool sweatshirt and some glasses. One of my favorite beers ever!

Google
Very tiny taste room indoors but has enough tall tables outdoors. We paid about $9 per cup of beer and got some merch because it was pretty chilly when we got there. $80 for a hoodie lol. Plenty of parking spots outside. Wheelchair accessible.

Great beer. Small space

Google
Great little brewing company in Montauk. They have awesome beers and their brew is all over the area. You cannot go anywhere without them having the beer in a can or on tap. I LOVED the “Big Juice IPA” that was on tap when I was there. The spot is ideally located and has a great flair. Would love to go back if I’m in the area. GOOD JOB.

Google
Absolutely love this brewery. From the beer to the decor. The staff and owners are always nice and laid back! Plus the park across from the brewery are great for the kids! The sunsets from the patio are incredible too. Cannot recommend this place enough. If you are in town check it out!

Google
Great place to hang out and have some refreshingly ice cold beer - on tap or in a can. They have a great selection; flavors you normally won’t find back home bc they don’t distribute all of them. We tried juicy and the seasonal watermelon. Both very summery and lightly flavored. Great choice to take over to beach. For the Fall season they have pumpkin flavored available. They also have a hazy IPA called project 420. Didn’t try, so can’t recommend that one. (Seemed interesting enough though.) They’re also situated right next to a food place - so you can end up ordering food and bringing it back to the brewery , or taking your drink over to their picnic benches. Either works since they’re soo close. Across the street there is a baseball field and a decent size park for the kids. Lots of dogs also joined. They’re very dog friendly. :) Ample parking.

Google
Great vibe and outdoor area to enjoy a cold beer. Definitely overpriced at $9 a beer.

Yelp
Paid a visit while in Montauk and so glad that I did. The inside space is rather small but do as the locals do, order a beer and drink it! You can stand at the counter or by the windows, or even against the wall, or just in the middle of the floor if it's busy. Of course, in warmer weather the front patio is a great option, but there's still room inside for everyone during the cold winter months. The tap-puller last night was cheery and knowledgeable. He told me about which offerings were exclusive to the taproom and offered samples of whatever I wanted to try. I gotta say, even for the varieties that I regularly drink out of the can, they just hit different fresh from the keg. Be sure to stock up on MBC merch while you're here! Hats, t-shirts, and glassware are all available, though I, in the spirit of the holidays, opted for the Christmas tree ornament. Mazel tov and santé! I hope to see you again someday.

Yelp
The journey to the end of the island is worth it for this place! Make sure to have a DD because you'll want to be trying all of the beers on tap! - The place is on the smaller side so there are no indoor seats. They have a few outdoor seats but it gets packed out and is hard to find a place to sit. - The staff is super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the beers they're pouring. - They have rotating taps so you'll see different ones each time you go. - They do not serve food, but!! There is a place next door that has a wide array of options. From sushi to chicken sandwiches your drunkie needs will be satisfied.

Yelp
It's one of those places one must visit when in Montauk. As someone who doesn't drink beer normally, I enjoyed the beer, the vibe, and the place. Place order at counter and grab a seat in one of the high boys. We had the summer ale from what I can remember and couple of other ones. Cute merchandise too.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this brewery for the longest time, so was excited to check it out when we visited Montauk this summer. The beer was so good, but I didn't expect it to be as small inside as it was. It was just 1 room with no seats, so people were just standing around drinking their beer. It also probably didn't help much that the doors were open while it was so windy and cold outside. It's probably a lot more fun during the summer since there's some seating outside, but we visited during one of the colder weekends, so we had to stay inside. I would definitely visit again when it's warmer out.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped by to sample the beer. I got the Watermelon Session Ale, which was nice and refreshing. Unfortunately did not taste like watermelon haha. One of my friends got the Pineapple Jalapeño Ale, which was absolutely delicious. You can definitely taste the jalapeño and even an hint of pineapple. While there are no seats inside, there is a sizable outdoor seating area. Even though there were a lot of seats, it was definitely relatively packed when we went. Generally, it was a chill spot to hangout with friends, especially after spending time at the beach.

Yelp
This is a SMALL brewery. They have a great open space in front of you to sit and enjoy your brew. No, there is no food here but considering you are in the heart of Montauk that really isn't an issue as there are food options all over the place. There is some swag. They do sell cans and I did not even know they had hard seltzer as well, but that's not why I was there. The beer is good to great, but for the most part not too adventuresome. I think the most adventurous I have seen there was the 4:20 - a Malt Beverage with Natural Hemp-Type Flavor, Conains no Hemp. That's a pretty odd way to say it has a hemp taste without containing any, but if you do buy one it supports various charities for environmental conservation on Long Island and in NYC. The menu isn't that long, so there is no need for flights here. Drafts are sold in plastic cups so that is another thing that would make flights impractical as well. Service is quick, and Apple Pay is an option as well which is great for making a quick run from the beach. I'm unsure about the exact amount of rotation in their menu, as the majority of their items are shipped in large quantities to cater to businesses in the region. Whatever the case is, this is still a great visit if you find yourself in Montauk visiting.

Yelp
A local favorite spot for a beer. Whether you're stopping by while running errands, to grab a quick drink, or hang out after a long day at the beach you will find a perfect beer. Service is always quick unless they're packed on a busy day. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. There is always ample parking right within walking distance. There are outdoor barstools and tables to enjoy your beer with friends on the patio outside. They are dog friendly, as it is an outside venue.

Yelp
It's a must visit when in montauk!! So happy they opened a brewery here!! Love the beer, looking forward to more non alcoholic beer options!

Yelp
Always our first stop when we get to Mtk. . Wave chaser and Mtk Juicy . Sunny beautiful fall day. 10/10/24

Yelp
worker was incredibly rude. I got locked in the bathroom after 3 minute, I unscrewed the lock. She's very upset that I did that very rude not apologetic at all that I got locked in the bathroom. Just worried about the lock that I unscrewed. Working in the service industry I was shocked at how disrespectful she was to a patron.

Yelp
There is a lot to love about Montauk Brewery. 1. THEY HAVE PARKING (and lots of room generally speaking) 2. Good brews... 3. A functioning bathroom that is generally accessible 4. An all-American picturesque feel 5. Meeting interestingly friendly people! 6. The place has swag 7. A bit pricey, but not too pricey The only reason why this isn't a 5 stars is because they don't have any food options (a food truck on the side at least)...

Yelp
Such a cute little place with some of the best beer ever!!! For the seasonal beer they had pumpkin beer which is my favorite. Was kind of dissapointed they didn't offer a cinnamon sugar rim but it's fine. The sweatshirts and clothes they had were super nice quality and pretty affordable. They had lots of outdoor seating too which was great. My one complaint is when we went, there was like an infestation of bees and having three garbages right around the seating area definitely made it worse. (I know this isn't really in their control but maybe in this season try to move the trash somewhere away from right next to outdoor tables to avoid the swarming haha. Overall though, amazing beer, great experience, and super cute location next to a nice park. They don't offer food but there is a good food place just a hop and a skip away next door.
google avatar

Adeline J.

Yelp
Super fun and low key; basically just a little house with a little front yard to sit in and drink.

Randy F.

Yelp
Great spot for the best local beer. Nice selection. Try the pumpkin ale as I did. Nice brew. Enjoy

Yelp
Montauk Brewing Company is one of the best places to grab a drink in town! The ambiance is super casual and it's always nice to enjoy their outdoor seating. They have all of their usuals, as well as a few seasonal specials on tap for $8. You can also buy cans to go & enjoy a wide variety of their cute merch.

Jennifer Y.

Yelp
I've been meaning to come here since Covid and I've finally made it out here 4 years later. This is a cool place that is worth the visit if you enjoy the Montauk beers. I tried a couple of their beers on tap that I hadn't had before since those aren't sold in cans by me, so that was interesting. I do wish they had flights like many breweries do but they'll also give you a free taste of a beer if you ask. Clean and nice grounds and they sell cute Montauk gifts. Worth a visit if you enjoy the Montauk cans you can pick up around Long Island.
google avatar

Justin R.

Yelp
Surprisingly small humble location for a brewery that's becoming more and more popular by the minute. They don't have any indoor seating, only a bar and a decent size outdoor patio. Now don't get me wrong, it is very nice and a cool spot to enjoy a brew and the nice summer sun. The indoor area is nice and they could fit a few tables if they wanted to as I assume they do in winter time. They don't have anything out of the ordinary or any limited picks you can only get on site but the brews they have are very high quality. The hazy and summer ale are both excellent. This place is also conveniently located in Montauk village.

Yelp
Obviously a must visit spot while you're in Montauk! Great place to grab a few drinks and sit outdoors and a pet friendly spot. It's a pretty small place and can get busy pretty quick. We got pretty lucky and while there was a good number of people, we were able to snag a chair or two to chill on!
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
My family and I were in town and wanted to stop by. We arrived shortly after they opened and there was no wait. During Covid, they aren't doing any tastings and are only offering 32 oz growlers and 6 pack cans to go. You can't mix and the selection is limited. I'm all for supporting local businesses and love visiting places where the product originated. I found their prices for their pre-packaged 6 packs to be super pricey. A 4 pack of their hard seltzer was $20?! I've bought their beer at supermarkets before and don't remember spending so much. I can understand if their product wasn't readily available but all their 6 pack flavors are available at your local supermarket. I'm not sure why there was such a huge price difference. I'll just keep buying their beer at Trader Joe's.
google avatar

Joe H.

Yelp
Super excited to visit the home of the brews we buy the most! The tasting room was all outdoors with the inside open to make purchases. We had the jalapeño watermelon brew and the sea creatures IPA while our girls snacked on some jelly croissant's from the Montauk Bake Shop. The patio is dog friendly so we brought our furry friend with us and scored an awesome spot next to another young family. Overall great spot for a brew and nice to be able to bring the whole family with!

Yelp
This is such a cute little place, nice to stop by grab some beers & just enjoy a nice day, but during these covid times things are little different. we stopped by to grab some beers on the go since the place was only open for pick up .. we got the big Crowler, Pumpkin ale & East End beers all very good. I like the Pumping ale , nice taste .. East End beer nice & strong & the Crowler was good as well , nice tall can strong tasting. They had a nice set up where you can just grab & go, service was quick & easy not a bad place to try, my high rating is mainly because I like the beers & the sections they offer.
google avatar

Yelp
Relaxed atmosphere- the beers weren't too hoppy and went down smooth. Lots of little spots to enjoy both inside and outside of the place. Worth a visit if you're all the way in Montauk!

Brian B.

Yelp
Rude people and decent beer! Apparently it is a crime to ask questions about the beers, definitely caters to regulars. Hype but flat in person.
google avatar

Doug W.

Yelp
Turns out the brewery has established themselves a bit more and they are brewing some solid beers Good time for sure just wish there were a few places to sit as opposed to being corralled in with a standing room only crowd on a hot summer day
google avatar

Sharm S.

Yelp
Open now. Always make it a point to stop by every summer. Delicious brews and awesome people. Cute photo ops too :)
google avatar

Yelp
Small, "hidden away" location, across the street from a town ball park and away from the downtown "rush." I liked the laid-back vibe of this place, and Bob loved their IPA enough to get a can to go!! Not a ton of outdoor seating, this is more of a "stand and mingle" kind of place, and fits in perfectly with the location. Wish we lived closer, we'd definitely stop in more often!! Well worth checking out and trying some of their VERY local brews!!
google avatar

Jess R.

Yelp
We've been to Montauk Brewing Company a few times and always have a great experience! We came yesterday to get the Juicy IPA and we also left with the Green Toucan which was recommended by staff. We loved it so much we came back and bought four more crowlers! We hope they put it into cans and recommend that they also bring back the Session IPA!

Yelp
As much as I love Montauk beers - the brewery left a little to be desired. This brewery has been on my beer bucket list for a while so it was a no-brainer when we were out there. The beers served here are as good as it gets! They have their entire lineup on tap as well as a few other special brews you can only get there (IPA's mainly). There is a small patio out front with no seating unfortunately (standing only). That didn't deter us from enjoying a couple of beers under a shady spot. I overheard someone saying the town won't allow the brewery to setup tables on the patio - oh well! They serve beers by the glass and have growlers to go (can't buy 6 packs to go). I was hoping to get a view of the actual brewery itself but wasn't to be. The shop on the inside is small but does the job. We bought our beers and some hats/tee shirts and were all set. The entire place is dog friendly which is always a plus. I would love for them to offer a tour or something allowing folks into the actual brewery - hopefully in due time. Until then, don't hesitate to stop by and enjoy some really amazing beers!

Yelp
Nothing like being back out on the island to my summer home, life. The beer is delicious as of course their Double IPA is simply delicious. I'm sitting here enjoying the Sun and spending times with friends.
google avatar

Sonia G.

Yelp
The best craft-beer in Montauk and all of Hamptons. My husband loved the IPA, and I enjoyed their Seltzer style drink. This local beer is available at most restaurants and bars in the area. We enjoyed it so much, we had to swing by here to grab a six pack and some touristy swag/clothes. We came here on a busy Saturday evening. However, served and out of their immediately for our pick up. I look forward to coming back as we try to visit Montauk every year.

Anthony B.

Yelp
The weather was beautiful on the patio, the beers were cold and crisp, and the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. The merch was also cool. We bought a 4 pack of pint glasses for $24 and I couldn't leave without a fresh SnapBack.
google avatar

Erick S.

Yelp
Love love love this place. We travelled 1.3 hours on Saturday just to come hang here for a few hours. The beer selection is great. The staff is great and the people who come there tend to always be in a good mood. There apparel can be a bit expensive but it's Montauk. If they sold food it would be a 6 star rating!!! Ha

Yelp
It's pretty much a must-visit, and be prepared b/c the place ain't big. It's also a brewery first and foremost, not a restaurant. I don't remember if they served any food or if we brought our own snacks, but if you're hungry, bring in food from elsewhere. My wife and I visited in June/July 2021, it may have been a weekday (vacay for us), I remember it was not crowded at all, but we also arrived at or near opening. Nice outdoor tables. Most of the tap offerings were what you'd find in cans in local shops and supermarkets, but there were a couple of draughts that were brewery-only specials. I had a watermelon-jalapeno beer which was actually delicious and really well balanced. Not too much of either flavor, it struck the right note for me, and I'm not huge on fruit beer. I think my wife had a hard seltzer (she doesn't do beer, and yes, she's tried multiple styles, so she gets a pass.)
google avatar

Araya M.

Yelp
I expected more of the beer tour and beer tasting lol, I mean they have nice people working there, you can get beer and sit next door and order some Asian food . It's just can't compare to beer brewing we went in CO Or Maine. Still it's nice to stop by and support some local beer.
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Stopped by with a group of friends on a Sunday afternoon. The front was busy but the line moved quickly. I saw the bartender tipping my cup a few times pouring some liquid down the side of my cup like he was trying to get something off. Didn't realize until I took my first sip that there was a bug on the side of the cup and unfortunately what he did didn't work. Overall good vibes, decent beer, but keep an eye out for bugs in your beer.
google avatar

Jason M.

Yelp
Always a great atmosphere and great beer. The outdoor patio is very nice and the music is also perfect. Good for groups
google avatar

Yelp
I was in the Montauk area for the weekend. When I realized how close I was decided to stop in for the flight. All I can say is every damn beer was more delicious and refreshing than the next. The service and recommendations from Jay were perfect! Great place to stop in. I heard it is poppin in the summertime, but I like beer all the time cuz in my head it is always poppin. If you are in the area stop in for some fresh ass beer.

Don C.

Yelp
A great place. The set up is nice and easy going. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The drinks and food and entertainment are spot on. Definitely worth the trip!
google avatar

Nancy N.

Yelp
Quaint place to kick back and enjoy a drink. DRINK: They mostly have IPAs or ales on tap. I had the juicy IPA and it was crisp with citrusy aromas. Pints are $8 and a flight of 6 is $16. For the flight you get to keep a little glass as a souvenir which I thought was a nice touch. SERVICE: The service was adequate and staff members were friendly. They don't have food though so one star is taken off for that. Also, avoid peak hours unless you want to be standing in line for a while. There is limited seating inside so you might have to take your drink outside and drink it instead.
google avatar

Melissa O.

Yelp
Awesome place to come and get Montauk beer and/or Seltzer! On a busy day expect a wait if you're looking to sit and enjoy the spot if not I noticed a lot of people taking their picks to-go. We had a great time, reasonably priced fun brewery. No food here but I suggest eating before hand at one of the excellent options around the area. There is only one bathroom or you can go down the road and use a porta potty (no thanks lol but the option is there fyi). There is a good amount of seating and they let you hang out with no pressure. I had all of the seltzers but my favorite was the raspberry one, which of course sold out. My friend had their latest beer and found it to be the perfect pale ale for the start of the summer season.
google avatar

Nicole I.

Yelp
I always try to make a stop at Montauk Brewing Company when I'm out in the area. This brewery is located in a small little house right behind main street. It is in walking distance from everything else in town, which is a plus to me! Their tasting room has a table or two inside and a large patio outside. Last time I visited though there was not any furniture set up outside, even through it was a beautiful, sunny June day. It would have been nice to be able to sit and enjoy my drink with my family instead of standing around. The beer is really delicious though. I tried the juicy IPA which was good, but not my favorite. I should have gone with their Watermelon Ale as that is a tried and true summer favorite. Overall, the beer here is good, the service is friendly, but it is very bare bones in comparisons to other breweries on Long Island. Definitely worth a stop when you're visiting Montauk though!

Yelp
I'm a fan of MBC, especially when they allowed me to enjoy some tasty brews while giving me a place to hideout from the rain & wind like this past Columbus Day weekend. The place was packed with others with the same idea. If it was sunny or nicer out then picnic tables out front can handle the overflow, with some individuals that actually enjoy the rain hanging out there. Ordering a flight my family and I are each handed one glass and proceed to through the taps from our right to left going from pale ale, IPAs to their Guardsman Stout. After we received our first pour the Pumpkin beer was wiped from the board - the server said we could double up on any beer since their selection went from 6 to 5, which was a bit disappointing. I'm not the biggest fan of IPAs, but I enjoyed their Wave Chaser. Their current selections played up the hops. I am usually a fan of stouts, but the Guardsman was not as full bodied as I would have liked. At the end of the flight we were able to keep the glasses as souvenir. All and all a good experience, but I would like to see them get more adventurous in their offerings.

Yelp
Guess this is the OG for the Montauk brewing co beers? I knew this brand of beer before but never bought any of it, felt like a good reason to try it out since I was on vacation in Montauk. The beers are surprisingly pricier than the ones sold in liquor stores, we bought a 6 pack of watermelon session IPA and a 4 pack Juicy IPA according to the staff's recommendation, the watermelon session IPA is great and perfect for the beach. The place's got a good vibe, also sells cute pint glasses with their different IPA names printed on them

Jennie K.

Yelp
The beer was amazing I tried Imperial IPA and it was 9.0%. It wasn't bitter and I could swallow very smoothly. I'd recommand you this. Also we tried Montauk light and it was good tho. There were several goodies inside and they were all cute. I will buy another cups when I visit again. Nice brewery!!

Yelp
Out of all the Long Island breweries, this beer is becoming my fast favorite. They sell the beer in Trader Joes as well as having it on tap makes it molto sexy. When I walked into the mothership this weekend, I disappointed to see they didn't sell any 6 packs?? When I go to Greenpoint brewery, I can buy a six pack of their outrageous beer. Montauk Brewing Company sells both large and small growlers as well as a weird looking 32oz can that they seal up on premise. My buddy & I grab two pints and sit at the bar. There is a loooooong line of people waiting to get inside this small location. There are picnic benches outside if the bar is too packed to enjoy your drinks. What annoys my about Blue Point Brewery in Patchogue, its wall to wall mayhem. Dogs walking around, you have to get there early to drink some beers. Not so with Montauk Brewing Company. Come anytime, buy a pint or an $8 flight and have a seat. Very orderly in Montauk! I was eyeing some of the pint glasses for sale, I bought one with their logo as well as a pumpkin ale in a cool 32oz can. This is a Long Island business I support. Raise your glass high to Montauk Brewery!
google avatar

Maggie B.

Yelp
A perfect way to burn some time while out in Montauk, they have 8 different beers on tap and are open year round (not the usual out here!). They have a flight option for $16 which allows you to try 6 beers and you get a little glass to take home. They sell all sorts of swag in the store and there's a pizza place next door for afterwards! Seating inside is limited so if it's a cold or windy day you might be a little cramped, if the weather is good they have an area outside to hang out which is is really nice. A good place to grab a drink before you go out.
google avatar

Katie L.

Yelp
After a long weekend in the Hamptons, we took a drive further east for a day trip to Montauk. A few girls had heard great things and really wanted to check out MBC. Friendly service with plenty of space outdoors to enjoy your cold brews. The space indoors was also buzzing, but a relaxed atmosphere for a tasting room. There wasn't a line to order and pick up your beer, which you can enjoy at the park across the street. But probably not if you don't want to be fined! They do have a casual outdoor patio that is nice and relaxing, great for hanging back before we moved on to our next destination. MBC has a good array of IPAs and ales that epitomize the summer, including Watermelon Session to Wave Crasher to Summer Ale. You can bet these aren't winter beers on tap. Definitely check out this neat, local brewery for some hoppy fun in Montauk!
google avatar

John T.

Yelp
Came here during the pandemic, circa 2020(if you are reading this in the future). No outdoor bar set up or tastings but I already knew Montauk knew that I knew they know what's going on. Whether you want some spiked seltzer's or just some good beer, you can get both. I ordered 2 "crowlers" to go and picked up a few pint glasses as souvenirs.

Yelp
It's right next to Street Food. Grab a brew and some Asian food then sit outside and enjoy. Perfect!
