"After posting a public statement of solidarity with Black Lives Matter—saying the brewery “support[s] the movement with all our hearts” and that it has donated and will continue to support organizations advancing the cause—the brewery was hit with a flood of hostile responses on Facebook and Instagram. Commenters aligned with “Blue Lives Matter” hijacked its social feeds, vowing never to buy its beer again, insulting the product (calling it “piss” or “shit beer”) and predicting bankruptcy; numerous one-star Yelp reviews accused the company of supporting “terrorist, racist” organizations and blamed it for attacks on police.
