"For over four decades, the chefs of Ruen Ton (Bib Gourmand) have managed to keep groups of friends returning and tempted foodies to seek out this classic hotel restaurant. Executive Chef Amnuay plates Ruen Ton’s signature dish at the restaurant’s dedicated Hainanese chicken rice kiosk. The recipes at Ruen Ton may have been perfected decades ago, but it’s the consistent pursuit of perfection every time the chefs reproduce a dish that has given the restaurant its reputation for high-quality food." - Tina Hsiao

Our Door porters, Mr Tikk, Num and Lekk were just a delight. Nothing was too much trouble, from the moment we stepped through the door to 12 days later! Always friendly and helpful, never changing! |Front reception staff and waiters were also amazing! As were the room attendants. |I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

We absolutely love this hotel for amazing design, calmness and comfortable rooms. If you search for night entertainment, there is a night market with a lot bars. Stayed there 2nd time. But this time there is some weirdness happened on the check out. Breakfast starts at 6 am and we had only 15 min to eat and call a taxi. They didn’t let me in because it was 5:58, said I came early. And on check out appeared we left one of the room access cards in electricity slot. The guy on reception was insisting I have it and husband was keeping on saying it is in the room. They didn’t believe! Our room was on the 17th floor, so they made husband wait until someone went and confirmed the key was there. And all of this in the 15 min we need to eat and leave. Why? What are we gonna do with that card returning home to our country????

Rooms are spacious but rather dated Over staffed Went for drink in garden 6 of us to 9 staff, they spent whole time standing 4 feet from us just staring. Ordered drinks at pool took over an hour to get them. Manager blamed us ! Then paid for a couple who were on tour, all their drinks bill as well as tickets to local show. Breakfast - hot food all cold and left overs from coffee shop served the following morning for breakfast Security & housekeepers were excellent

The hotel boasts a fresh renovation with modern Thai-inspired decor, but the service experience fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, we were completely ignored by the porter and had to carry our luggage up multiple flights of stairs. Staff in the adjacent lounge and at the check-in counter saw our struggle but chose to look away. Only one staff member in a gold blazer eventually stepped in to help. Check-in was equally disappointing—despite arriving at 3 PM (the designated check-in time) with no queue, the staff dismissed me with a curt hand gesture to wait. Even the manager, who was casually chatting with the staff, ignored my presence. When I was finally checked in, there was no apology, just a robotic transaction. The room was spacious and well-furnished, but the placement of light switches and power outlets directly above the bed was impractical, leading to accidental activations during sleep. Breakfast was underwhelming—repetitive options, processed food, stale bread, and overly salty dishes. The setup lacked table reservations, which could be inconvenient for solo travelers. Hygiene was a concern, as a visibly unwell waitstaff was coughing while handling table settings and cutlery. At US$220 for two nights in a “five-star” hotel with breakfast, this hotel was suspiciously cheap and it all makes sense now after experiencing such three-star experience. The standout staff were the doorman in a gold blazer and housekeeping; the rest displayed poor training and indifference. Management needs serious improvement in service quality and infrastructure design—especially the lack of a ramp for luggage at the entrance. Would I recommend anyone to stay here? Only if you are looking for a three-star hotel.

I was to pick up my tourists so no comment on the room. I got the nice service and hospitality from the hotel staff even I was not their client that day. The hotel is not far from the MRT Samyan station, Mahanakorn tower, Patpong night market and Samyan Mitrtown as well as a local Thai temple. The lobby and bathroom are very neat and clean with the relaxing ambiance. Swimming pool is available on the third floor (my tourists told me).
