On the Grid : Montrose Shop

"Once an antique store, I would hardly recognize this place with it's fresh white paint and simple aesthetic. Named for it's neighborhood, this new to the scene shop, carries minimal home goods and quality, neutral wardrobe staples. The antithesis of throwaway fashion. It's simple and refreshing, and I hope they become a permanent fixture on Westheimer." - Curiosity and Curiosities

Six New Restaurants to Open in Houston’s Montrose Collective in 2022 - Eater Houston

"Montrose Collective, a hub of retail shops and restaurants on Westheimer Road, is set to welcome at least six businesses this year. It includes Dallas-owned Chelsea Oyster Bar, Austin’s diet-inclusive restaurant Picnik, and a new establishment by Clark Cooper Concepts, the restaurant group behind Brasserie 19. The development will feature 30,000 square feet of restaurant space, with staggered openings planned throughout the year. The project is led by Radom Capital, aiming to create an anchor for the city with a focus on quality food offerings." - Brittany Britto Garley

I visited once and I was highly impressed. I would love to go back for regular shopping. I Just had a dessert at the ice cream shop. There is a parking garage which takes payment, so plenty of space to park. There is also street parking and valet. It was very busy on a Sunday. We stopped by the candle shop. You can buy or make your own. I saw a couple of restaurants, ice cream shop, coffee shop, clothing shops and many others upstairs. It was a quick visit but I highly recommend exploring this mall.

Small outdoor shopping area with everything from coffee shops to sundown restaurants to boutique clothing and craft stores

This one ship spot has a little bit of everything including shopping, coffee, eateries, beauty and relaxing, jewelry, creamery, for plant lovers and so much more! This one stop shop is conveniently in walking proximity to other strips or shops that can make any afternoon filled with much joy! You do have an option to park in the garage or on the street. It’s esthetically pleasing to the eye with clean, eco friendly but rustic modern vibe. There is seating around that you could just enjoy the vibe as you look around and make it a afternoon of eye catching views. They offer elevators and stairs to get around this two story building and you can easily walk across the street either direction to find more eateries or shopping. Check out the Montrose Collective.

Great outdoor shopping area with everything from coffee and food to plants and jewelry. I think the parking garage would greatly benefit from EV Chargers! I know Pangea Charging is a great local business that installs chargers.

Beautiful, modern place, with many plants and a good distribution of spaces. You have several options for clothing stores, restaurants, ice cream, arts and crafts and much more. It is perfect to go with family, date or friends. You can do valet parking or paid garage parking, if you eat in one of the restaurants you can get the ticket validated.

The parking and traffic was crazy in the area that weekend after Valentine’s Day. Of course, there are several restaurants they are accommodating their guests with parking so it makes sense to have a little chaos. This time I was dropped off but my experience has been that I’ve always found good valet service at this location.

The parking here is terrible—way overpriced and the tech never works. You’re better off just parking on the street.

The service and food was great. Our waiter Reyes was very helpful and knowledgeable about the food served and options available.

Yelp
Not impressed at Montrose Collective mall. The parking lot is below the shops with zero cell phone reception. There was no price sign. First 15 minutes was free, according to the kiosk. I came to meet a friend for ice cream at Van Leeuwen Ice Cream. It costed $9.04. After one hour and 35 minutes, the parking kiosk said I owe $6.50. Man, that's the most expensive ice cream date I ever had. Besides the cost of parking, the courtyard was full of mosquitoes. I got bitten at least 8 spots. I can see them hovering around my friend's face. They sure are hungry for fresh blood. One review said they offer 90 minutes free parking. I really wanted to confirm that. My friend lost his ticket. And he paid $21-ish to get out. If there was camera that scanned our license plates, they should have a better way of handling "lost tickets". I don't know about him. But I'm not likely to return unless they honor the free parking.

Yelp
Cool place to spend more than 90 minutes. They offer free parking for up to 90 minutes. After enjoying dinner, I want to walk around which takes another 30 or so minutes. Therefore, 89 minutes is not enough time. I will be back to visit many many times!

Yelp
Montrose collective is shopping center that incorporates workout studios, spas, salons, ice cream parlors and restaurants. Their restaurants include some of Houston's most popular such as marmo and uchi. They have a beautiful outdoor sitting area and offer valet and a parking garage. most stores offer validation for garage parking, however the garage slots are VERY tight. Be cautious.

Yelp
They have extremely ruder ushers for parking and have no courtesy for people who go to restaurants nearby and park with them I would recommend self parking in the garage then tipping these rude people

Yelp
It's a great place to hang out with friends, family or with your date. You can find a good variety of places to eat and walk around the neighborhood. Also there is a yoga studio called The Studio BE.

Yelp
The best urban infill project in Houston--in the city's most urbane neighborhood.

Yelp
Radom Capital sent out invitations on behalf of Montrose Collective for the public to attend their grand opening. An employee told me there were 2500 RSVPs. When we got there, we were told that the drawing for all of the fabulous prizes would be at 6:45 PM. In order to get a ticket you must give your name, email address, and phone number. After we completed the so-called scavenger hunt for us to go into 13 businesses, and it was time for the drawing we found out that there was no drawing for everyone to witness that evening. There were hundreds of people there WAITING. I was then told that the winners would be called the next day! In my opinion, this was nothing but a scam to get everyone's contact information so they could be bombarded with emails and text messages. To the Vice President of Radom Capital who organized this for Montrose Collective......SHAME ON YOU!!! If it is a legit drawing, then do it in front of the hundreds of people you tricked out of their contact information. Do not support Radom Capital in any of their events!!!
