I recently visited Mootea and ordered their matcha latte. The staff informed me that they had improved the recipe, and they weren't kidding - it was absolutely delicious! The aroma was wonderful, and the taste was even better. What's more, their prices are very reasonable compared to other bubble tea shops in the area. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they offer a "buy one get one 50% off" cash promotion from Monday to Thursday. This is such a great deal! With the combination of excellent drinks, affordable prices, and attractive promotions, I can definitely see myself becoming a regular here. I highly recommend Mootea to anyone looking for quality bubble tea at a great value. I'll certainly be back soon!

I was thinking about getting some boba and tried their new drink, strawberry tea with yakult foam with boba (2). The girl there wasn’t Asian and I was happy about that. She told me she has been there 8 months and was Romanian. The drinks were great and I think I will go back for more. They did a buy one get one 50% off for cash.

I love this place it's quiet and peaceful you can pretty much spend your time here relaxing without any noise that drinks are really good and I like to interior it is a hole in the wall place for a boba shop

It's average. I don't have much to say about this place. It's just one other tea shop that I don't care about coming back again. Doesn't have anything special about it. The milk added to one of the teas became chunky because of the acidity of the tea, so the texture was not pleasant. The matcha one was pretty good.

Back in town and decided to try a new tea shop. I really enjoyed pineapple tea with Yakult foam and lychee, made by the genuine and friendly baristas (couple?). Wishing them more business and keep up the good quality drinks :) Edited to add: take advantage of the BOGO 50% off weekdays. Apps like hungry panda also gives discounts.

Cute little boba shop with very convenient parking lot parking. I loved my jasmine green milk tea with pudding, half sweet. Also, how cute are the taro drinks with the hand drawn hearts? 💜 such sweet little touches 🥰 definitely want to come back to try more things from their menu!

This place was amazing - from super intuitive ordering, fast WiFi, plenty of seating, amazing atmosphere and vibes. More importantly, the affordable prices and vast options make this place a 10/10 visit for sure. Don’t miss out on a hidden gem :)

Moo Tea, at the time of this review, had its grand opening with a promotion of buy one get one 50% off. Deciding that this deal was enticing enough to try their drinks, I decided to go with my brother to try it. However, I wish I didn't. Due to their promotion, I got two drinks: Jasmine Green Milk Tea and a classic Milk Tea. Both drinks were 25% sugar, no ice, and had boba. When I tried both drinks, they tasted heavily diluted as if they didn't have the ratio correct. I couldn't really taste the tea flavor for either the black tea or the jasmine which was disappointing since I usually get a lower sugar for the higher tea flavor. The boba itself was pretty decent. It was soft with a slight chewiness. The one thing that I did enjoy was that they fill the cup to the brim. However, at the same time, their cup design isn't the greatest. Their cup design is built for cheese foam as is evident from its rotating top lid. However, because it is a rotating top lid, it isn't very secure as it doesn't lock and will spill pretty easily. Even though Moo Tea tries to secure it with a piece of tape, the drink will still spill even if nothing has been pierced. The biggest thing that bothered me is their questionable sanitation. When I was watching them work as I was waiting for my drink, I noticed that one of the workers dropped a cup with a sticker (which is used to tell the worker what type of drink it is) on the floor. They picked it up and then pulled a new cup and looked at the old cup. They put back the new cup and decided to rinse off the old cup with water and dry it with a paper towel. After that, they just resumed their regular workflow with the old cup still being used. This is a blatant health hazard and I am not happy with the way the worker decided to handle that situation. Overall, I don't plan on coming back due to their quality, their questionable workflow, and the value for what I could get from other boba shops nearby.

San Gabriel Valley is home to tons of boba places and the competition is fierce! We stopped by Moo Tea during our trip and was pleasantly surprised by how this mom and pop shop fared against competition. Let's get to it. FOOD We ordered two drinks: their specialty the Purple Yam Milk, and then the Peach Tea with Yakult Foam. The Purple Yam Milk is their #1 drink and for good reason. It's very refreshing for the soon to be summer heat and they don't skimp on the purple yam. Just be careful if your stomach is sensitive to dairy, because this is a lot of milk. The Peach Tea with Yakult Foam is also very refreshing and perfect for a hot day. Between these two, I actually would prefer the Peach Tea since it fits my palette better, but it's all up to you! SERVICE There were two people working when we were there. You can either place your order at the counter or you can use the kiosk at the entrance. Menu is located above the counter and they also have screens on the side that show their top drinks. When your drink is ready, they will call your number and leave your drink on the counter. Service is a bit on the slow side, maybe 5-10 minutes after you order. Some people didn't hear their number being called as well, so make sure you check if you didn't hear it called! COST By far, the best part of Moo Tea is the price! The purple yam milk is only $5 for a tall drink! There is no other place that can match these prices. Get pre-2020 prices here before they raise their prices to match the area! They also have weekday specials. Can't remember what it was, but I think it was buy one, get a second one 50% off. Great for high schoolers in the area. SETTING Based on what I've seen, it looks like the owners are revamping the place. There's a nice art wall for you to take photos by. Each table also has a cool Moo Tea acrylic piece to help your photos (it's what I did). Lots of lighting here and about 4-5 tables to relax while you drink your tea. Plenty of parking too since it's located in a shopping center. Overall, Moo Tea is a very affordable boba place amidst the heavy competition. Give them a try! 4.5/5

My friend recommended Moo Tea for our post-dinner hangout. On a Friday around 7pm, it was pretty empty. They have a weekday special (M-F) where you can buy one get one 50% off if you pay with cash! I never carry any cash, but luckily my friend did. Our 2 drinks came out to $8.83 total - what a deal! My friend got a yakult drink and I think he liked it because he finished it all. I tried their #1 purple potato milk and thought it was very underwhelming. The cup make it look like they don't skimp on the purple potato, but what they really do is just shmear it on the sides, but the content is mostly milk. I only drank about 20% of it and couldn't really finish it. At 50% sweet, it was still a bit too sweet and even with regular ice, the milk gets warm very quickly. I will be back to try other drinks though! They have lots of tables inside, good for small and large groups. There's plenty of free parking in the parking lot.

Had their signature Purple Yam Milk Tea and it was super tasty! There's plenty of parking in the shopping center. Service was good - you can order on a screen or at the counter. There were a few tables inside as well. Like most boba places, you can choose toppings and sweetness level.

The star here is the purple jam series, which is different from other boba places. If you're sensitive to dairy you might not want to get as part of your drink. I had the lychee tea with Yakult foam and lychee jelly and I liked it a lot. It's been a warm January so this was perfect. The staff was friendly and overall the drinks weren't bad.

Was craving for boba, and I wanted to try something new. This place caught my eyes because of their Yelp reviews. It is a small boba place with a few tables. It is located in the same plaza of 168 market. We ordered peach tea with Yakut foam and peach Yakut milkshake. I would like to have my peach tea without ice, but the cashier said that it has to have ice. When I got my drink, I found out that the ice was crushed into small pieces, and they only have big straws. I kept sucking ice as I was drinking. The drink was very bland. It does not have much Yakut flavor. It was a little disappointed.

Really it's a fine typical boba place, just nothing special to blow you outta the water or an iconic drink that makes them stand out among the countless shops around the area. Chewy, follows accurate sweetness levels, all the typical flavors and yea variations in pretty much any boba shop in sgv. There's plenty of parking. Currently running a cash discount.

Whenever I get drinks here, the quality is great. My recent visit, there was a hiccup and the owner reached out and quickly remedied the situation and offered a good solution. They very much care for the business and the customer experience. People should definitely come check it out themselves.

This is the best boba place I've tried in the SGV area. I've tried different types of milk tea bobas in LA and nothing hits like this one. The milk tea is so delicious and refreshing and the bobas are so sweet and chewy just how they should be. I like that you can choose different sweetness levels. I've tried the 75% and it does not taste watery like other places I've tried. Friendly staff and owner, great customer service, great deals and family owned. Also, this is a great spot to hang out with friends and/or work remotely. If you are ever looking for a great boba spot in the San Gabriel Valley come and visit this shop and support a local business! Trust me you will not be disappointed. Also, this place is located in a shopping center so there is plenty of parking spaces which is a big plus.

I ordered two drinks and the cup they came in was super aesthetic. The lychee & peach tea came with Yakult Foam and were super tasty and refreshing. They allow you to customize the sweetness and I opened for half sugar. Overall, the place was clean and the service was quick. Enjoyed my drink when the temperature outside was scorching.

I only got a few words for this place - get their Purple Yam Fresh Milk. I usually don't crave or go for any boba or milk tea spots but this was extremely yummy and you could taste the quality of the ingredients.

It's slightly heavy but I found it to be really tasty! It's big enough to share with a friend too :). They had a deal going on (weekdays only) when I stopped by - I believe it was buy one get the second 50% off so definitely worth a try!

MOO TEA IS MY NEW FAVE BOBA PLACE. DO NOT TAKE THIS LIGHTLY. I've tried many many drinks from here before making this review and I just love the balance of flavors, how the drinks aren't too sweet, and how the boba is PERFECTLY chewy every time!! I love drinks that are super creamy but can still taste the tea and that is the strawberry black milk tea!! I get mine 50% sweet and it is absolutely delicious Some other drinks I really love are the osmanthus oolong tea, peach/lychee tea with yakult foam, and the strawberry yakult smoothie!! All very tasty and refreshing!! But honestly, I think you can't go wrong with any drink from here. The drinks came out super fast and I liked using the electric kiosk so I can see all the pics of the drinks LOL Some additional pluses: there's a clean bathroom, Wi-Fi, and nice tables to sit at--will for sure be back to work! Highly recommend if you're in the area!!

Friendly service. Absolutely love that they offer oat milk here. Jasmine oat milk tea is my go-to. But the jasmine tea here was weak, lacking jasmine flavor yet it was unfortunately also bitter. The boba was however soft and nicely cooked. But the flavor was kinda lacking.

It was a hot summer day and we were craving for something sweet and icy. We went to Moo tea for the first time. We ordered the Purple Yam Fresh Milk with Boba and the Pudding Peach Yakult Milkshake as they have no caffeine (great for kids). I ordered 50% sweetness and the taste was perfect.

My sister's friend loves a purple yam drink and I discovered Moo Tea has this so I had to try! I got the purple yam fresh milk. It was good, nothing spectacular but good. It really does taste like purple yams and milk together, light. I did like the service. Really nice service and very fast on getting my order done.

I personally didn't care for the boba milk tea here. I found it overly milky and the boba itself was average (on the softer side). It is convenient if you happen to be at this shopping center (parking lot is huge).

Moo Tea is one of my favorite Top 3 milk tea spots. They are the best at purple yam drinks. I've ALWAYS ordered their Jasmine Green Tea with Cheese Foam, but today, I decided to give another item a try - and it did NOT disappoint. The best part is that you can customize the sweetness level. I don't like drinks/desserts that are too sweet, so I recommend toning it down if you are watching your sugar intake. The pudding was delicious along with the boba. Their drinks are so creamy with the fresh milk. There is an abundance of parking and the workers are nice (they turned on music in the background for us when they noticed we were just chilling and talking inside). It's a hidden gem tucked in the plaza long with 168 market and CVS.

Such a unique place, especially with their purple yam drinks. It's a pretty lowkey boba shop hidden behind a towering CVS, and although I've been to SGV countless times for boba, this place never caught my attention until now. I ordered a purple yam fresh milk with cheese creama and a white peach oolong milk tea. The purple yam IS the drink to get here; the 50% sugar option is the way to go. It's so thick, and I'd recommend that boba be omitted since it's already pretty filling (even though the boba pearls are amazing). The white peach oolong was a pretty basic order, but the tea flavor was pretty strong, which was nice. 70% sugar was a bit sweet for me, so I'd recommend 50% sugar for their drinks. The boba pearls are also very flavorful, sweet, chewy, and overall just a really good texture and experience for my mouth lol. The two employees on a Sunday night were really friendly, gave us recommendations, and promptly made our drinks. If it's your first time here, you have to give their purple yam drinks a try!

Tasty drinks, ELITE music taste, good prices, chill environment for hanging out or studying, has wifi and plenty of ports. They did mess up my request for "no ice" but most places do so I don't factor that into my reviews anymore. I think it matters more what they do after. When I told them, they apologized, took out the ice, then added more cheese foam and tea to replace the amount that was scooped out with the ice. Their attention to detail and good customer service more than makes up for the minor mistake. I got the jasmine milk tea with cheese foam and boba and it was pretty good. My friend got the purple yam milk and she said it wasn't bad but just tasted like sweet milk so wasn't that special. I'll def be back for another study session and try some other drinks.

A cute bubble tea place for a quick boba pick up or even just to hang out for a bit. There's plenty of space and tables inside for solo, 1:1, or group hang outs. You can order on the kiosk by the door or with the person at the counter. I ordered the hot white peach oolong tea and that was a bit too sweet for 75% sugar but still pretty solid. They sealed the top the way they do with cold drinks and provided a straw. It would've been nice to have a regular cup lid (like a coffee lid) since it's a hot drink and difficult to drink with a straw without burning your tongue.

I stopped by this spot after hearing about it online. They staff is very friendly. But the drinks are very average compared to other boba spots around town. I had the peach yakult (peaches tastes like it came from a can?) and purple yam milk (is like eating soft yam with milk)-- both lacking in flavor. The boba was also very hard.

Came on a weekend night and it was empty. Parking is super easy as it is located in a grocery shopping plaza. Drinks came out in about 15minutes. 10/10 Lychee Tea w/ Yakult Foam - Must get! Super refreshing, has lychee bits, and lychee flavor is dominant. 7/10 Purple Yam w/ cheese foam - was a good try but just ok in the end. Wouldn't get again. 9/10 Caramel Milk Tea w/ Dalgona Coffee - coffee flavor was a great mix. Can be a bit sweet but just adjust it to liking. 7/10 Purple Yam Cheese smoothie - was a good try but just ok in the end. Pretty cheesy if you like that but I wouldn't get again. 7/10 Honey Green Milk Tea - average/similar compared to other honey gmt Prices were not bad 4.50-5.75 range for each.

Phenomenal Boba and tea shop. Boba was soft and fresh and tasted fresh as well. I got the mango green tea which I can honestly say was extremely good. The owner recommended I do 50% sweetness and it was definitely a good call. My brother got peach yakult with cheese foam and it was delicious would strongly recommend. Overall I would strongly recommend this place. Will be back soon.

I been ordering from YELP online for awhile when I am close by the area. (12/26/22) They have deal buy 1 and get 2nd 50% off in store only. Not sure when this deal would be over I have tried many drink there but my favorite. Purple yam (fresh real yam) and fresh milk with Boba $6 Choice: *hot / cold with regular ice / Light Ice / No Ice *sugar level *topping for additional price from $0.65 to $3 I had ordered both cold and hot with with extra purple yam (they put on different cup and still warm). Love their Boba, chewy and soft. Sometimes I would order with cheese foam. Place is small with few tables Is not crowded at the time I got at night 1 hr before they closed.

Taste never disappointed. Now there're even hearts in their drinks! Gotta Thanks and Love the bobarista!

My fav tea spot in this area. I've been their customer for about 2 or 3 years. Drinks and prices are good. Cash discount every Monday to Friday not the holidays. So you can get 50%off for every 2nd drink! Their boba, white peach oolong&Osmanthus oolong MT are the best! Also love their fruit tea

They were swamped when we arrived. We ordered a white peach oolong with 50 percent sweet, strawberry green tea 50 percent sweet, and a strawberry yakult with boba. I would say that the drinks were pretty average. Boba was a little on the hard side. The strawberry green tea was a little sour. With so many boba places in the SGV, I'd give this place a try once kinda deal.

This spot has quite a few unique flavors. If you like cheese foam drinks or purple yam drinks you'll appreciate this place. I ordered milk tea and it was a bit watery and the boba was not super fresh. It was in the evening so maybe that's why. While my drink was ok, the customer service was very friendly! I would return to try a different drink.

Moo Tea is one of the most solid (yet underrated?) boba stores around. Overall my rating is a 4.5, rounded up to a 5. It is located quaintly next to the 168 Market, and is really low key - a true hidden gem that you simply have to try. The tea is great quality, the boba is consistently al dente with the right amount of resistance, and the quality of sweetness is not noticeably artificial. One of the most try drinks is the strawberry yakult milkshake. It has the classic yogurt - cheesy - dairy flavor that approaches that of cream cheese frosting, and the strawberry flavor is really refreshing. It is almost the classic yogurt flavor that you experience in Chinese yogurts that you essentially cannot find in American stores. This drink is a 5/5. I have also had their milk teas extensively, and they are pretty classic and standard, with every component done well. 4/5 as there is nothing mind blowing.

One of my favorites! Whenever my friends are in the area, I always recommend trying Moo Tea. At this point, I've tried most of the top drinks. My picks always include the ones with Yakult foam. For instance, peach tea with Yakult, strawberry tea with Yakult, and lychee with Yakult are super solid drinks. I think Moo tea is one of the few places that have this unique foam flavor, and I definitely think it's worth coming here to try. I prefer it to the more common cheese foams because it's lighter, tangy, and pairs so well with a fruit-based tea. This place also includes pieces of the fruit in the drinks themselves, making them taste a lot less artificial. Furthermore, there is plenty of parking in the plaza out in front. Will be a frequent customer as long as I'm in the area!

Today, I was feeling moovelous! And in the moo-d for a milky milk tea. So without further ado let's begin this review. ;D Lol. Moo Tea is a lil cute boba tea thang that will make you Mooan for more. It's located in a large plaza between south of New Ave and Valley blvd. We were looking for a new boba adventure and found this new boba spot. And what a better way to subserve a nascent business is to give a Yelp review. Indoor atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. It's very neat, organized, well lit and very spacious. They have good selection of teas, smoothies and toppings. I ordered Purple Yam Fresh Milk with boba and pudding, one of their top six popular drinks. Prices seem fair and highly competitive. Staff were affable, competent, followed health protocol and professional. Service was decorous. Parking was relatively easy given it's in a large shopping plaza. Overall, I enjoyed my boba milk tea and will definitely come back. I highly recommend this tea place.

After reading the many 5 star reviews from this place, I decided to give this place a shot. Was only going to buy one drink but they had a BOGO 50% off when paying with cash so got two instead for $10. The drink itself was nothing special as it didn't live up to the hype from the other reviews. The boba was a bit hard and not fresh. Overall wouldn't comeback as there are better alternatives in the area.

Purple Yam is a new trend lately!! You can easily find it in many dessert/drink places everywhere. O-M-G!!! I ordered from moo tea today and saw that they're doing a promotion M-F until the end of the month!! This place has really good prices for its boba. I will come back again however the boba is not fresh all the time.

This is my first time went to Moo Tea, drink is far more better than what I expected！ I ordered cheese match smoothie with less sugar, match flavor is very strong! I love it soooo much! No joking, their staff us super patient and nice! Shop is really clean, really "FRESH" 200% will come back to this wonderland spot!

I have to preface this review by saying I don't like to give 3 stars especially for small businesses. But I felt this review was necessary to get my message across to the owners of this place of what happened to one of our drinks, so it happens to be mine. We came here yesterday and got a few drinks on our way home. Some of their popular ones like their matcha latte, peach tea with yakult foam, and of course their ever famous purple yam fresh milk. I got to try the peach tea, it was terrific. The uniqueness of the yakult foam tasted good, but it wasn't my drink. So the purple yam fresh milk tea I got tasted ok at first. You get a big gush of milk in the beginning. Then I realized you should mix it around with your straw. Apparently you need their big straw to do this as this mixture is quite thick. But what I ended up tasting in my drink was a small piece of plastic. A purple piece of plastic not longer than 1/2 inch. I'm not the type of person that would be deterred by hair, or something that can be easily taken out. But apparently I had it again on another sip but this time the plastic was more of a shredded piece. Last night, I had a bit of a pain in my stomach and not sure if this was the culprit but it was pretty much the only thing I had the past 12 hours. I am not sure how they make this drink here, and I am not sure if I was an isolated incident but I can't say I would return here again. I did notice this place is a sponsored post, so there's a possibility this post won't be up much longer. Just wanted to get the word out and the other drinks are perfectly fine.

We found this spot on Yelp because we weren't familiar with the area, and it was a unique find! The menu had many items we were curious about and we ended up ordering the purple yam with fresh milk, pudding, and boba. I wasn't sure what I was expecting, but the drink was surprising. Simply put, the texture was dense. With all that was going on in the cup, I felt like I was simultaneously trying to drink and eat. I personally enjoyed the experience of trying something new, and the flavors were good in my opinion! My girlfriend, on the other hand, was not a fan; but to each their own! My rating reflects the overall experience for my girlfriend and me. The drink concoctions may not be for everyone, but I think they are worth trying!

Yum, this place is so good! My husband found this place in an LA times article, so we made sure to check it out while we were in the area. I tried the purple yam, fresh milk with boba and pudding. This drink was refreshing and the boba was fresh and chewy. We came as they opened at noon on a Sunday , so we were the only ones in the store. Based off the quality and taste, I would imagine this place gets pretty busy. Customer service was great and drinks were made quickly. When I'm in the area again, I'll be sure to drop by .

The purple yam with cheese foam and boba is one of my top 3! It is a thicker consistency than other purple yam drinks I've had at other places and I LOVE that about it. Their boba is cooked to perfection, on most days. The cheese foam is always frothy and creamy. A great drink over all. My other top 3 are the Lychee with cheese foam. It has bits of lychee in it, so I feel it's like an extra topping and then white peach tea - has the right amount of peach flavor. I appreciate that the place is always clean and now the owner has a buy one drink get the other half off during the week special.

I've had this place multiple times (both delivery and pickup) and they never fail to deliver! I'm a really big fan of their yakult foam drinks, I've never had anything like it at another boba shop. I wouldn't say it tastes exactly like yakult, but it is a really nice peachy, creamy, slightly tangy flavor that is just as good to me. I like to get mine half sweet with lychee jelly, and I find that it's the perfect sweetness level for me (as someone who prefers less sweet drinks). I've never had the purple yam drink before this, but it's soo good and I see why it's so popular. I was initially hesitant to try this because I figured taro and purple yam would be similar in taste, and I'm not a very big fan of taro, but I really enjoyed it! If you're looking for something on the creamier side, this should be your go-to! It almost tastes like marshmallows to me (?) but more subtle and a little earthier. The flavor is very mellow and not too sweet, which I appreciated. It's hard to explain, but I would absolutely get this one again!
