Moobongri Soondae opens with Korean soul food on the westside | Eater Vegas

"Established as a hit franchise in South Korea since 1997 and a Los Angeles favorite for more than a decade, this Las Vegas outpost brings Korean soul food with a strong emphasis on soondae (pork blood sausage). Located in the westside’s Pioneer Square retail center — a block from Chinatown at the intersection of Decatur Boulevard and Desert Inn Road — it occupies a well-lit, 2,360-square-foot corner space that previously housed three separate Japanese restaurants. The compact, specialty menu highlights soondae served as a side, an entrée, in hotpot, pan-fried with vegetables and noodles, or as the centerpiece of soondaeguk, a pork-bone broth soup that can be prepared spicy; other soup choices include beef rib, pork belly, and spicy beef-blood varieties. Additional items include bossam (steamed pork belly), boiled pork front feet, and a popular spicy cold-broth noodle dish served with sliced beef. The location is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m." - Bradley Martin

This is my second time visiting this restaurant, and we love it even more each time! I ordered the Spicy Soondae Guk with the sampler and the regular Soondae Guk. The spicy one was flavorful but a bit too spicy for me to enjoy as a soup. The non-spicy version, however, was absolutely perfect — rich, comforting, and full of depth. I could easily drink the whole bowl! The portion sizes here are very generous. The Soondae Guk with the sampler was huge — honestly enough for two people to share. We even had to take some home afterward, and it still tasted great later. The soondae itself was delicious, soft, and perfectly seasoned. The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I came with my toddler, and they even offered her some seaweed, which was such a thoughtful and sweet gesture. It really made our visit feel personal and family-friendly. The restaurant is clean and cozy, and there’s plenty of parking available, which makes the whole experience even better. Overall, both of my visits have been fantastic. This place has quickly become one of our favorite spots for Korean comfort food. If you’re looking for hearty soup, generous portions, and warm service, this is the spot to go. We’ll definitely be back again!

Google
It’s so great!! We ordered SONDAE (PORK BLOOD SAUSAGE) SOUP W/ STEAMED SOONDAÉ & BOILED PORK MEAT SAMPLER COMBO (순대국 정식) which is not easy to find in other Korean restaurants in the US. My partner says it’s even better than what she ate in Korea!! Sides are simple but delicious. Rice tastes great too. The server is nice and warm although it’s busy time.

Google
We live in California and whenever we visit Vegas every year, we don’t miss stopping by at this restaurant. This is our favorite Korean restaurant in Las Vegas bec not only the soups and soonjae are delicious, but the service is the best. Our server auntie Yong B always greet us w/ a genuine smile and is very attentive. We always look forward seeing her.

Google
Honestly the service here is “Excellent!” This place is definitely a “hidden gem” among the Korean community for authentic delicious food! Ask for “Ms.Yong”, a sweet & Kind elderly lady that treats you well and always checks up on you constantly and offers you more Free Delicious side dishes! I LOVE THIS PLACE! Even popular with other people of different ethnicities! A DEFINITE DINING EXPERIENCE FOR YUMMY KOREAN FOOD!!!

Google
We came here for the first time, Yong B was our server and she was super kind and helpful. I got the spicy rib stew. It was incredible! Every side was great. This is probably my favorite Korean restaurant I’ve been to outside Korea. The sides were amazing and authentic. This restaurant is worth the two hour drive from home to go to.

Google
Super tasty! The Japchae and the Kalbi Tang were so delicious. Amazing and friendly service. Our server was helpful in picking out the best dishes. Definitely will return.

Google
This was an excellent experience. Some of the best Korean food I've had, anywhere. The staff was great. The service was quick. The restaurant was clean. All the way around a very good experience.

Google
✨ Pork Spine Soup If you don’t have a big appetite, the small size is more than enough—there were two of us and we couldn’t even finish the small portion! It’s seasoned with chili powder, doenjang (fermented soybean paste), and perilla leaves, giving it a bolder flavor—slightly spicy with deep meaty aroma. The broth is rich and appetizing. There’s a lot of meat on the bones, and it’s been simmered until super tender. The taste is really similar to what I had in Jeju—so satisfying! It also comes with free egg soup and rice 🍚 ✨ Korean BBQ We ordered a set meal that came with spicy tofu soup and white rice—just the right portion for one person! The BBQ was very authentic, with a sweet and savory marinade, tender meat that wasn’t dry, full of flavor and juices—perfect with rice!

Yelp
Quality of the food here is a little bit inconsistent. However, have definitely enjoyed dining here over the several times that I visited so far. The banchan is enjoyable and I would definitely recommend getting the kalbi tang here. The broth is so nicely beefy and heartwarming.

Yelp
Every time I visit Vegas, this place is an absolute must! As a Korean American, I can confidently say it checks all the boxes. The food is consistently great, the prices are fair, and most importantly, the service is outstanding. Special shoutout to our favorite waitress, Yong B--she went above and beyond, refilling our side dishes countless times without hesitation. That kind of attentiveness really makes the experience even better. I'll definitely be back every time I'm in Vegas!

Yelp
We arrived at the restaurant around 12:50 PM with a flight boarding at 2:45 PM. Although the host told us the wait would be 15 minutes, it ended up being over 30 minutes, so I was already anxious about the time crunch. Once we were seated, I ordered 2 spicy soondae soups and 2 regular soondae soups ALL AT ONCE. Instead, we were served 2 spicy soups and 2 small soondae plates. We were confused but my husband and mother-in-law started eating since we were in a hurry. Our remaining soups never came out. When I asked, the staff seemed confused, and the server later told me it would take another 5 minutes. Worried about missing our flight, I ended up canceling the two missing soups. When we went to pay, they tried to charge us for all four soups. While the owner was adjusting the bill, she accused me of placing the SECOND ORDER LATE and even blamed us for eating something we "didn't order," even though it was entirely their mistake. The server admitted the error was her fault, yet the owner continued to be rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Mistakes can happen, especially when it's busy, but the owner's attitude and the way she spoke to us were what made the experience truly upsetting.

Yelp
This is one of THE best bibimbap I have had. It is $20 with beef bulgolgi and it comes with egg. Seaweed topping and all the vegetables. It is prepared very fast and the staff was very helpful and kind. This is located in the H market eatery.
google avatar

Cindy N.

Yelp
The blood sausage or soondae is very popular here. I ordered the soondae soup, which came with rice and side dishes. The side dishes included marinated fungus mushrooms, marinated radish, kimchi, and fish cake. The sides were solid. The soondae soup also has other parts including liver and I enjoyed it. The sauces it came with made it even more flavorful. This place got pretty packed and seems to be extremely popular with the locals. I also liked that kpop demon hunter songs and kpop songs were played.

Yelp
If you're Korean, this is a must-stop spot in Vegas. It usually gets packed shortly after opening, but the service is always great--friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The food is consistently good, the place is very clean, and it always hits the spot, especially after a long night of drinking.

Yelp
I was stoked to see Moobongri in Vegas as I used to frequent their location in SoCal. I was grocery shopping and decided to stop by here to order some chal soondae for take out. I ordered at the counter and waited nearby. I was thrilled and couldn't wait to eat it when I got back to the house. Unfortunately, the soondae did not meet my elevated expectations from what I remember of their other location. It was super soggy...like inedible soggy. I am unsure what happened here. Did they steam it too long? Was it frozen for 10 years? No idea. It was disappointing. I'd like to give them another try again in the future and maybe sit down for some soondaeguk. For now, 2 stars and an update to come.

Yelp
Food was very good, ordered their galbitang and gamjatang. Both was piping hot and service was amazing. They also reloaded out small dishes without even asking. Will definitely come back! Great location, easy to find with parking lot in stripmall.

Yelp
Amazing Korean food in Las Vegas Chinatown! I loved the pork belly soup, bossam, & seafood pancake. I've been to the location in Oakland as well and this one was better. The menu options are also different. Lots of seating inside to accommodate a big group. Service is super friendly and quick. We got cold barley tea which was really refreshing on a hot day. Free refills of banchan too! The cucumber banchan is incredible. Would highly recommend this as a casual but delicious lunch spot with many healing soup options!

Yelp
Super impressed with everything in this restaurant. The ambiance reminds me when I visited Seoul Korea just a simple natural atmosphere with great food! Staff are friendly and attentive. The table has a drawer underneath with supplies like table napkins and chopsticks in case you need them. Foods were so good!!! we ordered one soup and one wagyu ribs they were so delicious and they are good for two people. Super tasty its probably one of the best I've ever tasted. Deserved a 5 star! They also served barley tea no caffeine instead of water. Parking is easy and there was a sign to make sure not to leave anything in the car due to break ins. Will definitely go back to try other menus.

Yelp
The soondae soup is a rich white soup with blood sausage, intestines and meat. It doesn't have any gemmy smell. The side dishes are very authentic service is very friendly. We also ordered seafood pancake. It's huge, and crispy. Bibimbap in a stone bowl is also a must for Korean food. We left happy and full.

Yelp
The customer service was swift and nice. Ambiance was homey. We couldn't get the rice punch slushy because it was sold out :( . Kalbitang (9.6/10): Meat was super tender, fall off the bone. Broth was comforting and rich, great for a hangover. It also had glass noodles. Was a no frills dish, just straight broth and meat. Blood Sausage stew with meat platter (9.7/10): Honestly, you get a crazy amount of meat in the soup already, which I didn't know. The cost of this dish was well worth the amount. They gave a large amount of meat with the meat platter, I didn't even finish it all. The blood sausage gave the soup an earthy, flavourful, and rich taste. The sausage was perfectly cooked with a soft and bouncy texture. They also gave a shrimp paste on the side that gave the sausage a nice kick.

Dan P.

Yelp
My wife and I visit Las Vegas often, and this has been one of the places we stop by when she's craving Korean soondae. We've been here several times, and our earlier visits were very good. On our most recent visit, the pork sausage soup had a smell that concerned us, so we stopped eating and mentioned it to an elderly lady who seemed to be in charge. We were told that this was how the dish is supposed to taste and smell, but the interaction left us a bit uncomfortable. We paid our bill and left without finishing the meal. While we've enjoyed this place in the past, this experience has made us unsure about returning.

Yelp
Fantastic! What amazing Korean food. The moment I walked in, I could see nothing but Koreans. At that moment I knew it was going to be a spot that I would like. The bon chon was on point. The soup was tasty. The meat was mouth drooling. The service was attentive. This was a fun low key place to just enjoy the food for food sakes. Would definitely come out to china town for this again.
google avatar

Dan P.

Yelp
Kabi tang - meat was a bit tough, but the broth was savory, well-seasoned, and surprisingly light. glass noodles were perfectly cooked with just the right texture, not overly chewy. a comforting, flavorful dish overall. Staff were super friendly and service was so quick. Easy and free parking - there's warnings to lock your car and keep valuable belongs out of sight due to frequent break ins.

Yelp
My husband and I were craving Korean food, other than kbbq for once. We were seated right away and thank goodness because people started coming in shortly after us and the place started packing up quickly. Our server was patient and friendly. I've always stuck with my go-to which was the ox bone broth with brisket and rice noodle soup. It really hit the spot. The Banchan really compliments both the soup and the spicy pork bulgogi. We were told it was spicy, but it wasn't too bad (and that's coming from me who can't handle spices very well). The seafood pancake was more doughy than others but that's what made it tastes good, in my opinion (I'm not a fan of crispy pancakes). The cold tea instead of the usual water was a good idea. It's nice to add a subtle flavor to the mix rather than getting full from water all the time. The songs played throughout our time there was a nice touch. I recognized a lot of the music from different kdramas and famous artists. Overall, the experience was nice. I enjoyed the food and service.
google avatar

Chris W.

Yelp
The food here is good! We got the Spicy soondae and seafood pancake. The soup was spicy and good. Unfortunately the seafood pancake was cooked uneven. Half of it had a nice golden exterior and the other half was as white as a ghost. Our server was Yong B. She was fast and friendly!
google avatar

Hanna S.

Yelp
I can't tell you what a good time our group of five had at this restaurant. The two types of soondae were very mild tasting. I preferred the rice version, with its varied texture, to the glass noodle version. The boiled meats were a little bland by themselves and tasty with the array of condiments. The big winners were the spicy pork bulgogi -- not that spicy, but with tons of sweet and savory flavor -- and the bossam. The pork belly was perfectly tender, the chili miso paste funky and not too hot, the sweet pickled radish delectable. The kimchis here were pretty fiery. Cucumber and fish cake were our favorites. The clear soup that came with the bulgogi was light in texture with a rich, long-simmered flavor. The seafood pancake was forgettable -- on the soggy side with not that much seafood. At least the dipping sauce was delicious on the blood sausage. Go elsewhere for pancakes, and come here for what they do well. They do it REALLY well. The staff was very welcoming and offered smart recommendations. The five of us feasted for $26 each including tax and tip. We will be back!
google avatar

Wei X.

Yelp
Food is mediocre. Ordered several dishes including steamed soondae and soondae soup and kimchi pancakes. None were impressive at all. The taste is bland. The service was lackluster and not attentive. The ambiance is ok. I don't understand the high reviews. There are much better Asian restaurants in this area.
google avatar

Jay C.

Yelp
This place gets busy during the evening so is good to arrive earlier than expected. The waitresses are very friendly constantly checking if everything is ok. The food here is a nutrition mega. Recently US is publicizing the important nutritional value of Organ meats. Koreans have been consuming the organ meats for centuries. They serve a combination plate of steamed Liver, blood sausage, noodle sausage, which you eat with a bit of seasoned salt. Also, there is Soon Dae Guk which is all of the above in a pork broth. The beauty here is that it doesn't smell pork and is a very rich clean nutritional soup. Back in the time, Korean peasant workers used to eat this which gave them full energy to work in the field. It might not sound nicely but, definitely I advise for everyone to try. If you can eat Posole, you will love this.

Yelp
We were in the mood for something off strip. We found Moobongri. The food was delicious! Everything tasted like home and it was amazing. Yong B was so friendly and so helpful with the menu. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This was really good Korean food. We had several items. We are not Korean food savants, so I won't try to get too technical. The staff was friendly and very accessible. Recommended. Recommended.

Yelp
I've come back to this restaurant so many becauce they were always on point no matter it's soondae, soups, cold noodles and especially spicy pork. It's the best spicy pork I've had so far in Vegas. But please be more consistent, I ordered one today and when I saw the color I knew something was off. It'm turned out very bland, lack of the bold flavor because of the sauce portion was not right. It was different from what I usually enjoyed at the restaurant.
google avatar

Sarah H.

Yelp
Food here is consistently good. Some might say they're pricey but then nowadays even McDonald's food is pricey. I usually get the soondae soup jungsik and that's more than enough food. My husband usually gets bosam. Watching korean news on their tv on the wall makes me feel less homesick. Service is good; they give you more side dishes. I hope they bring back the rich punch slushie.
google avatar

Colleen C.

Yelp
The best thing about this place was Yong B. She was an absolute delight - so kind and thoughtful. The food was delicious- BiBimBap, beef rib soup and yummy Ban Chan . Thank you Yong for making our lunch here so special. We appreciate u!
google avatar

Alan S.

Yelp
Not just specific for Soondae but they have a variety of soups and dishes you can get! Of course we had to get the cold noodle on a hot day in Vegas but this place is worth the visit. Authentic, flavorful, savory, and good service. The servers kept asking if we needed anything and they were attentive. There is a wall of famous Korean people that have visited and I think they made the right choice. I'm glad we stopped by here and tried everything we could have.
google avatar

Yelp
As old-school Koreans, we were craving something hot and soupy after a whole day of enjoying various alcoholic drinks. Moobongri had good reviews and was actually recommended to my friend by her neighbor who recently visited Vegas, so we decided to give the place a try. It was okay, really. The food was okay, although my pork belly soup tasted a bit like instant ramen broth. Service was decent, and the place felt nice and clean. Overall, it was an okay spot to grab a quick lunch on a Sunday without any wait.

Patrick M.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time at Moobongri Soondae. It was a fun and tasteful mix of specialties, a few that were quite new to me. The spicy soondae soup and the beef bulgogi were especially tasty. The staff was attentive and Yong was a delightful hostess. Just an enjoyable experience. Patrick and Hana (just like your best friend)
google avatar

Phuong Dung N.

Yelp
Love this place!!! We tried their soondae sampler and it's super generous. Their soup is also rich and aromatic, just like it should be. The price is super affordable. Their banchan is amazing too. We had such a great time dining here. Service was quick anf staff was really helpful. The inside was big and can accomodate big groups. Their restroom was also super clean. Will be back when I can!
google avatar

Nette B.

Yelp
I stopped by because I wanted Korean soup. The workers were all friendly, fast and efficient. Utensils are located on the side of the table in a drawer. I ordered the Pork Belly soup. It was very plain regardless of adding the gochujang sauce and salt & pepper. I always added the kimchi ban chan into my soup to get a little more flavor. 5 banchan dishes were given and I loved them all. Next time, I'd order the spicy soup instead and possibly try the soondae since it's popular.
google avatar

Daniel K.

Yelp
Solid Korean food just a quick drive off the strip. It was 100+ degrees, so we were craving nengmyun. This place hit the spot. Noodles were the perfect texture, nice and chewy and plenty of ice to keep everything refreshingly cold. A few slices of brisket, cucumber, pear, and half of a boiled egg, it was absolute perfection. We also ordered the LA kalbi, which was so tender and well-marinated. Yes, a bit pricey, but worth it. They have a handful of side dishes, everything was delicious and fresh. And service was so attentive and kind, the side dishes just kept on coming. Located in a strip mall, plenty of free parking.
google avatar

Garry J G.

Yelp
From the get the host were so on top of their customer service. That alone was 5star. Then came the help with ordering and explaining the dishes my family and myself were looking at with genuine patience n kindness it can't be overlooked. The food was 5star for us. I had the spicy rib glass noodle soup that had me savoring every spoon n fork full. Sorry don't know how to use chopsticks. Everyone finished their plates with no leftovers to take back to the room. The owner gave us these 3 frozen coffee drinks called Snow Ice. They were the icing on the cake. Great food Awesome customers service well deserving of 5star. Wish we had one like this back home in Riverside. Garry G.
google avatar

P C.

Yelp
Food was good but the price is steep for what you get. We ordered beef bone soup with brisket, soondae soup, spicy cold noodles, and a bossam plate to share. I guess it's good for Vegas, but doesn't compare to LA. The soondae is smaller and has less filling in it. Shocked at how small the portion was for the bossam platter which was meant to be shared, and the noodles which came in a small bowl. Overall, would recommend if you're desperately craving Korean food, but be ready to pay a pretty penny. Bathrooms were also not kept clean.

Yelp
Fun fact #1: My best friend as a teenager was Korean American. Fun fact #2: I had two Korean roommates when I lived in Philly, one from Southern California and one from Seoul, South Korea. With that said, I've had a lot of Korean food over the years, both homemade and from a variety of Korean restaurants across the country. While I'm no authority on Korean food, Moobongri Soondae did make quite the impression on me for the following reasons: #1. Their exceptional customer service (shout out to Yong B who was my server). #2. This was the first time I recall being at a Korean restaurant where they volunteered to replenish the banchan (Korean side dishes). #3. Their unique menu items. I came here specifically to try their soondae (blood sausage) soup, and I overheard two middle-aged Korean men sitting next to me commenting on how they were blown away by that exact dish. I personally thought the dish was superb too. Considering there are also locations for this restaurant in CA, TX, CO, HI, GA, and IL, I think it's safe to say they are legit. #4. Finally, I never thought I'd say that I'm impressed by a strip mall, but I absolutely love the tenant diversity in Pioneer Square. After dinner at Moobongri Soondae, I actually walked over to Africa Love and bought some handmade items from Senegal and Mali.

Yelp
Visiting Vegas and stumbled on this place. Staff was polite and very helpful. I ordered a side of galbi (Kalbi) as a side dish. Awesome flavor and did not look at the price at first. $36 for a side dish. Nonetheless all items were delicious.

Yelp
We went for dinner and had a nice time. The workers are super sweet and the restaurant is spotless.

Yelp
Food here is excellent and consistent! Service too is always excellent, especially Ms. Yong B!! She's friendly, always smiling and kind to everyone! This is my go to place for authentic Korean food in Vegas!! And I travel to Vegas weekly and eat here at least once a week!! Highly recommended!

Yelp
Young gave us excellent service! Will definitely come back to see her. Food was also excellent, very comforting for this cold weather.

Yelp
Authentic Korean cuisine in Las Vegas, best beef rib soup in town item number nine in the menu our server what's the name?Yong B makes you feel like you're part of her family. Best of all the food is great thank you you keep up the good work.

Yelp
We stopped by here for dinner on a weekend. We were told wait time is about 20 minutes and called us when our table was ready. The place is located in a shopping strip. The inside the restaurant is nice, bright and clean but the shopping center was dirty and bit sketchy. We ordered blood sausage soup 순대국 and short rib soup 갈비탕. They were both very flavorful and had lots of meat in them. The radish kimchi was delicious with the soups. This place definitely has one of most delicious Korean soups I've had. I would definitely visit this place again and try their other menu items.
google avatar

Nicole P.

Yelp
Not Korean, but this place feels authentic lol. A lot of the customers are native Koreans, so it has to be good, right?? My go-to is the bossam which is always expertly plated and a great bang for your buck! The servings are so big we never leave without having to bring something home. Simple decor inside, but very clean! In an interesting area, but worth it!

Yelp
This moobongri location is actually tasty and my go to place when I come to Vegas. Out of all Korean restaurants this is my favorite. Simple but also tasty every time I visit. Also overall service is pretty attentive and good. So happy to see all these non-Korean customers are also loving Korean traditional soups made with Korean pork sausages and pork bones. We usually order hotpot style and share and order sides of soondae plates and jokbal. So much portion. Definitely worth it. Try it if you want to try authentic Korean flavors. Shout out to waitress auntie Young emo. She's super attentive friendly made us feel very welcome every time. They open early for breakfast around 10am closes around 10pm. Only 15 mins distance from Vegas strips.

Yelp
This is definitely one of the best korean restaurants in Vegas! I've been about 3 times and always had a good meal. Spicy pork belly soup & spicy soondae soup - both are 5/5. The broth is so flavorful! Just know that you're gonna end up with pepper flakes in your teeth so probably not the best choice for your first or second date! Seafood pancake (2.5/5) - I was hoping it would be more crispy on the outside. It was mediocre, I wouldn't order it again Simple but delicious side dishes (my fave is their spicy cucumber) and servers were attentive. Will definitely go back!

Yelp
Not a great taste. Pork smell with salty.cold noodle are not a good either.. We're expecting authentic food, but so disappointed.

Yelp
Aunties are great and food is amazing. All the dishes are good. Our favorite is the short ribs noodle soup.

Yelp
Went around 6:30pm on a Thursday night. Lots of open tables. Got soondae soup, side of soondae, and jokbal. The soup was good as was the soondae. I wished the chapsal soondae had some veggies in it, but it was just noodles. I didn't really care for the other soondae. Kinda dry. The jokbal was good, didn't have the porky smell. I would go back just to eat the soup. I shared it with another person and wished I had my own!

Yelp
Their prices over priced and I only had six piece of meat in my soup. I did ask him not to put the testing inside was still six piece of meat for 1999 which is more than $21 after tax , do you think this is worth it? Also, they're plates are on one time use styrofoam. I feel like I was eating her food and a taco truck. Service with the server wasn't bad, but I'm not sure if the owner was out there but she was super rude. I come here often at least twice in a year because I live in a different state but their taste changed Azul even Los Angeles Koreatown price is 16. 99. So i say this is a very very over priced. Disappointed very. Thanks a lot for almost a $50 worth of food with six piece of meat. They even charge you for extra rice.
