Moofinfries was a great stop on my recent UP road-trip. The burger and fries I ordered were good and appropriately priced, but what was really stellar was the customer service. The workers are all excellent communicators and answered any questions I had about the menu. The owner "made the rounds" while we ate and stopped by several times to ask about our experience and make us feel welcomed. Stop by for a hearty meal (that's a small fries in my picture!) and some great company if you're driving by.

Not gonna lie, I had low expectations going in. The food was fantastic. Everything was fresh and made to order. The fish is delivered every 3 days. The cow meat is from the brothers farm. Nothing is ever frozen. The poutine threw me into Canada 🇨🇦 and the fries are cut in house. The ice cream was also delicious. The pot hole And jacked up tn toffee were great! 10:10 recommend.

Great burgers! Great whitefish! And the fries?! Owner won't serve any whitefish that don't meet his standards. My new go-to stop on US2.

We decided to stop in for a single scoop of ice cream to cool off., was hoping for a larger selection of flavors. I’m giving three stars only because we didn’t try the food which looked very delicious and great portionable. The staff was very friendly as well the owner, pleasant to talk too. Great atmosphere. Was wondering about only having one restroom for the public, thinking the worse but was very clean and large for handicap availability but not wheel handicap accessible unless I over looked a ramp. Definitely will stop by through for eats. I would feel safe if I had to take a break in my car from driving for some Zzzzz and getting out to stretch.

Go eat where the locals go... We found this place passing through.. Specials,,,, burgers with fries and fryer white fish... Also has ice cream... Burgers are a boom. Fish is a specialty and is great...

The staff and owner of this restaurant are bar none. The kids who work there served us with intentionality, kindness, and enthusiasm. I was blown away by the service, consistency (we’ve been here 4x), and the way the kids work in such a clear, solid way that shows their own investment in the restaurant. We love love love Moofinfries! Kudos to the manager who has invested in creating an amazing atmosphere to eat in. It leaves me wanting to come back (the drive is an hour for us) as often as we can. MooFinFries is a great restaurant to stop! Husband and I both ordered the single Moo, 1/4 lb burger loaded with all the known toppings. The Large Fries were well fried and seasoned. Malt vinegar and table salt were provided. The burgers tasted so delicious and the staff was attentive too. Highly recommend! They have loads of ice cream flavors too, a bit of everything for everyone in the family. Moo=beef | Fin= fish | fries= fries

Food is really, really fresh and yummy. Fries are delicious! Shakes are so good - a lot of varieties of flavors. Manager (owner?) did walk around to make sure everyone was doing well and staff worked hard to get orders out as fast as they could. We did stop by on a Saturday at lunch and when this place is busy, it is busy! Be prepared to wait (even though it is worth it!). Also, there is only one bathroom, so there may be a line for that too. The dining area is also pretty small. It's busy because it's good!

Such a great place to stop in the UP! The fish was amazing and the burgers were fresh. Don't miss stopping in and be sure to introduce yourself to the owner.

They only do three things--burgers, fish, and fries. They are all delicious and served with a smile! Super clean and friendly!

I cannot say enough good things about the simplicity of this menu and the flavor of the food. The French fries are like "fair" fries (there's even malt vinegar on the tables!) We split a large order of fries and they were WAY too big for two of us. That cup was inside the bag with the copious amount of fries surrounding it. We made three meals of those fries. The associate at the counter had good advice and a good sense of humor. The burger had a juicy center but crisp edges, coupled with the bun toasted the same way, it was a win! The seating was ample and the wait was minimal. All food was cooked to order. Next time, we will split a double Moo or get singles. It was WAY too much for the two of us. The amicable owner walked amongst the tables asking about the food, and answering questions. He definitely wants you to return. Dang, we were so full we could not order any ice cream! We'll be back.

Delish local food, a real community feel, and a genuine nice guy as the owner. I had a burger with jalapeños, bacon, grilled onions, lettuce, mayo, and it was soooo juicy and flavorful. The meat comes from his brother's farm. And the poutine.... YUM! We've decided this will be a tradition whenever we come to the UP. NGL, I'd cross the Mackinac bridge for this burger!!!!

We drove 40 min to get here. They were closed. Is there a way this business could have updated hours on google or yelp.

The food was absolutely delicious, one of the best burgers I've had in awhile. Fresh ingredients and food made to order. The tartar sauce was very dill forward. The service was incredibly friendly and fast for how busy they were. The owner walked around to different tables and chatted which meant a lot. Would recommend adding this as a food stop while you're traveling the UP! Plus they have a silly logo.

So before we go on vacation we usually look all along the whole route and see what's out there, what's coming up, as far as gift shops, restaurants, beaches roadside parks or anything like that. We saw "Moofinfries" on the route and it looked interesting so we decided to try this on our way home from vacation. It is a small little restaurant and I didn't understand the name until I figured it out, they sell burgers, fish and fries so the burgers are "Moooo" the fish have "fins" and then they also make Poutine Fries. At least that's how I think the name came along, that's just my opinion. So I ordered a 4 piece white fish and a small order of Poutine Fries. They have a small picnic table outside for those who want to sit outside and eat and we'll, why not it was a nice day out, they also sell some of their own merchandise like hats, shirts and hoodies. I also bought a hat cause I love hats. They also told us that all the fries are cut fresh to order and the fish is caught daily from the local lake which is really amazing! So I had the Poutine fries first and I will say this is the BEST poutine I have EVER eaten, everything just tastes as fresh as they said it was, the gravy was thick, it had a great seasoning and was just all out amazing. Now let's talk about this whitefish, I have had white fish before, in fact, I have had it at some expensive restaurants but what they brought out was better than any white fish I have had at any other place, the batter was nice and crispy, it wasn't super oily like most batter usually is, the fish was VERY delicious, it didn't have a fishy taste or texture at all. it literally broke apart when you cut it with your fork and then the tartar sauce to dip it in was really good. Everything at this restaurant from the fries to the fish and even the restrooms, which were immaculately clean, was just perfect. This is a place we will stop EVERYTIME we go on vacation and I think anyone that is ever driving down the U.S. 2 in the Upper Peninsula needs to stop here and give this place a try because you WILL NOT regret it.

Delicious and fresh white fish with hand cut fries. Fast, knowledgeable staff. We went on the 4th of July and they let us stay while they closed for a parade. Very cute, family place.

Been up in the UP for a week and on my way home I stumbled upon moonfinfries, I honestly did not have high expectations but goodness gracious best food ever! I got the burger all ingredients were fresh! Ranch was amazing and they gave a generous portion! My ice cream had a little caramel turtle in every bite! Please tell me where else you get that??? Not possible! Staff was friendly and kind, I had the best time ever here! Please stop by!

Great little spot to grab lunch or dinner. Hamburger was tasty. Whitefish was fresh and delicious. Too many fries- ;-) - ooops - never too many fries. Worth the stop.

I love this place! It's a great burger joint. They also sell fish sandwiches, though I've never had one. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. It's located just a perfect distance between many destinations you could be traveling in the southern shore of the UP. Every time I go, the owner himself, comes to visit our table to show his appreciation of your patronage and make sure you were satisfied. If you leave hungry, you left without finishing your meal. The portions are huge. The fries are freshly cut for each batch (your order) made. We've stopped nearly every time we get this far west of the bridge. I highly recommend making this a regular stop.

Made to order by friendly staff, reasonably priced, very clean. The owner and staff are always very friendly, the hamburger rivals any of the other great burgers in the UP. The fries! They are great, the way fries should be, hand cut, crispy fried and lots of them! They have malt vinegar on every table, it's an option but highly recommended! Always good.

Great food and great atmosphere. Stopped here on the way up to MTU. It was fast and quality food rather than stopping at fast food

Olive burger and poutine Fries! Sooo good. They fry you up like five guys so we wayyy over ordered on fries. Would def be here frequently if we were local.

The ice cream! OMG - the best ! The raspberry with dark chocolate swirl was amazing! They even have a GF designation on the flavors that are gluten free - thank you!!

I love this roadside restaurant. The food is always delicious and fresh. The service is so friendly and welcoming. The ambiance has that "up north" feel to it. Even when we came in 10 min before they closed, they were welcoming and friendly. This is one of my favorite places to eat when I'm in the IP!

AMAZING food and service!! We chatted with the super friendly owner and he told us how all the beef is raised from their family farm. It was delicious! What a great hidden gem!

The whole experience was amazing. The burger was perfectly cooked. The fish was very good. The tartar was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend. The staff was very friendly and informative.

Customer service is top notch and the burger is the best butter burger you'll ever have! Definitely makes you wonder how far you'd drive for a burger like this. The aesthetic inside is so cute and it's themed, they even have cute merch! You can also watch them cook your food and chop the potatoes. I didn't try their ice cream but their flavors are truly one of a kind judging by the names and ingredients listed. Definitely would stop again, maybe even on my way back home!

This is a must stop on Highway 2 in the UP. The food is amazing and the people are even more incredible than the food. we met the owner and the food was spot on. We're stopping by there every time we had a crossed the UP.

Great sandwiched and really nice people. Had the fresh white fish sandwich with homemade tartar and homemade french fries all topped off with a complimentary homemade Christmas chocolate.

I would plan a trip around going to Moofinfries. World class burgers and FRESH whitefish. Very well run - Wayne is a great guy with an incredible story. Dreaming of that whitefish...

So I decide to back up and review the food first. I ordered the SINGLE CHEESE BURGER w/ ketchup mustard lettuce tomato mayonnaise onion and I am going to say BEST BURGER I'VE EVER HAD. I've eaten a lot of burgers in my 58 years and this one stands out above the rest. I don't know why. It was just great. I also had poutine. I've never had it before so I had to try it. It was very good also. The fries I it and the gravy and cheese was delicious. My wife had 3 piece white fish. It too was fantastic. The owner told us everything is locally sourced the beef is from his brother farm the fish is from Lake Superior. I also had a Malt on the way out. It was very good also but. It didn't stand out like the burger and fish did. DEFINITELY STOP BY THIS PLACE IT IS GREAT FOOD. I had forgotten about this place or never thought I'd be near it, but as we were on our way to Manistique, Michigan my wife suggested it. So we stopped. It was Not what I expected at all. First when we walked in it looked very minimal picnic tables to the right and a counter to the left where you order. By the way the picnic tables are in the top 2 nicest I've ever seen. The owner said he made them. The owner came over twice to talk to us, once before we got our food and a second time while we were eating. He is super personable and seems like a real nice guy. So not to disappoint Brian if he still reads my Yelps. The napkins they give you with your were outstanding and they had others in the table in a holder that I didn't try but looked a little less sturdy. They also had Salt, Pepper, Hot Sauce, and Malt Vinegar on the table. Overall this was a great surprise and a great experience. I definitely want to stop again and will when in the area. You should too.

Going to the UP with my family we had a lot of recommendations, but all the guys my husband works with, unanimously said this burger place is a must. We planned accordingly. This place is 40min going west from the bridge. If we weren't specifically looking for it, we would have never stopped there. While it's cute, it's not a place that commandeers attention driving by. Walking in, it's decor is like a cabin, tables are lacquered picnic tables. You order at the counter and sit down to wait for your food to be brought out. Any misgivings I may have had, were gone with the first bite. This burger made me want to wax poetic and I'm not a poet, nor that big of a burger lover. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and at least for me, didn't even need any condiments. Fries were good but not spectacular. Everyone agreed though that it was hands down the best burgers we've ever had in a restaurant. So goid in fact that we made it a point to stop by again on the way back. Since Moofinfries only makes burgers, fries, and fried white fish (hence the name), I had to try the fish too. The burgers were just as good as the first time. The fish was flaky and cooked to perfection. The family was split on how much they liked the fish. 2 votes good, 2 votes ok. Fish is a tricky thing especially with kids. I'd still say to try it if you're a fan. Definitely recommend this spot. The views of Michigan Lake on the drive are amazing as well! P.S. The first stop I forgot to take a picture of any of the food because we were hungry and it was too good. I almost forgot the second time too, but tore myself away after the first couple bites to capture the deliciousness.

First time stopping for lunch, I had the fish and fries Wife had mushroom burger & fries. Food was very good. Ice cream to top it off. Definitely a redo

Stopped here on our drive to Marquette and we were extremely pleasantly surprised!! This restaurant is family owned and run, all of the ingredients coming from the local area. Food was so tasty and fresh! Also - as an added surprise, malt vinegar on every table! Perfect for the fries. The owner made sure to spend some time with us, telling us about the food and restaurant! Great people and a great place to stop! 10/10 recommend! :)

Wow, great locally sourced food. We stopped at MooFinFries on our trip along the North Shore of Lake Michigan in route back to Minnesota. MooFinFries has good grass-fed beef burgers, fresh-caught white fish, and a generous portion of hand-cut potato fries - a really nice, well-prepared dinner and a comfortable, friendly environment. We did not try the poutine, but it was described as a local variation of the French-Canadian specialty comfort food. A note about the potato fries from someone who grew up on a potato farm: these are the real deal; large fresh spuds, hand cut, and deep-fried in peanut oil; not crispy, but cooked gently and slightly browned. These are much, much better that the overly cooked, crisp, salty fries you get at a fast-food place like McDonalds. We highly recommend MooFinFries as a destination place to eat when you're in the U.P.

Well worth the stop on our way to Wells State Park. Excellent food and even better service. Two shared the 4 piece Fish Dinner and Poutine Frys and walked away stuffed.

Moo Fin Fries.... The name pretty much explains the menu. Burgers, fish, fries, ice cream. The menu is small but what they do, they do well. Burgers are great, poutine is amazing! I usually top things off with a chocolate malt which is so so good! Service is amazing and everything is clean and the food is great. Not sure what more you could ask for.

Good burgers. Soggy fries, awesome gravy. Thinking the owner used to manage a 5 guys, it's the same food, the same burger menu, same soggy fries, they added fish and took away the peanuts. I'd stop in again for sure

The owners and staff are incredible! You couldn't ask for a nicer group of people! Owner stopped at table to check in and what a genuinely good guy! Store was super clean, love the spaced out tables with covid! I also love the simple menu...not a lot of overwhelming choices just a handful of great selections. We ended up getting an assortment...a single burger, poutine, 3 piece fried white fish. All were delicious...really loved their house made tarter sauce heavy on the dill. Awesome stop...will be back if in the area.

Where can you go and they cut then potatoes right in front of you for fries? HERE! Soo so fresh and tasty! I got the smallest burger and it weighed at least 1/2lb! Very fresh and so good! They also have ice cream ( SUPERMAN ICE CREAM BONUS!!!) if your in the area check it out!

Do you want to eat the best tasting burger or whitefish of your life?! Then come and eat HERE! My fam and I have been traveling around Lake Superior and Lake Michigan this summer and all of our eating experience were average. Nowhere have we found whitefish this tasty! The owner was incredibly gracious and he shared with us where his food comes from, how it is prepared, and presented. It's simply amazing taste! Food we ordered: Cheeseburger w bacon Whitefish sandwich Whitefish pieces Poutine with mozzarella cheese only Garden salad My kids (6&3) devoured the fish and fries. My husband said his burger was incredible. My fish sandwich was perfect: moist with crispy skin and crispy coating. The salad i had ordered (thinking i'll eat it the next day but no such luck), we all ate from it because each salad leaf and vegetable tasted as real food should (if you don't know what that means, come try it here). Location cleanliness: very clean. You could see and feel it was clean. Tables inside were more than 6ft apart. Sanitation of the tables was immediately after the table emptied. Bonus: ICE CREAM! Yep! We had that too. Strawberry cone and dark raspberry cone. I don't eat dairy... but after just one small taste, exceptions were made ^.^

Amazing burgers fish and fries. When you ask which you should try the fish or the burger Wayne answers, "yes"! I agree, get both. Great place great owner. This is a must add to your UP bucket list.

This place makes the 10 minute detour so, so worth it! We got the "Moo" and the fish sandwich - they both delighted our taste buds!! My mum got the "Moo" with most of the fixings. She devoured it and was proclaiming its deliciousness the whole time. The fish sandwich I ate was super good - the tartar sauce is fresh and so tasty! The hand-cut fries - THE HAND-CUT FRIES. Y'all gotta taste those salty, crispy bad boys. However, the best part had to be the owner and his employees. We got there 10-15 minutes before close, but the owner was amiable and extremely helpful. The staff also was friendly. We talked with the owner while ordering and waiting for our food. He explained how his restaurant uses fresh ingredients from local sources - including his own brother's farm and how he tries to keep the quality high. 10/10; totally recommend to anyone traveling to the UP!

This darling place is just a guys dream! We just happened to be looking for food as we passed this spot while traveling. The owners are amazing and genuine good people. We will have to stop again if we can catch them open as we pass through town or plan our trip better.

My family and I came in today for the first time, and will not be the last! First off the feel of the space is open and clean. The food... oh the food. We all got variation's of burgers and fries, and also tried the poutine and it was all fantastic. Everything tasted fresh and the owner was so incredibly nice, you could tell that this place is his baby and he is very passionate about it. We grabbed Ice Cream before leaving and it was the perfect finish to a great visit! I can't wait to come back and try the fish.

Absolutely AWESOME!! What a treasure to come across this wonderful spot! Stopped in for lunch while traveling from the east coast.Literally one of the best places we have eaten at. Everything is fresh and made to order. The whitefish was delicious!! And the burgers were outstanding. The fries are cut right in front of you. And they are incredibly aware of allergies- they put gloves on and have a separate fryer for the fries to avoid cross contamination. Extremely accommodating- they will serve the burgers on a fresh bed of lettuce (grown on a local farm) and the bathroom is so clean you could literally eat Kim there! what could be better - nothing although the friendly owners are beyond gracious!! I hope they franchise and open an east coast location! It's worth the drive - I promise! My whole family walked out stuffed!!

Saw this place on Under the Radar and had to check it out on a recent trip to the UP. It was everything I expected and hoped for,after the horrible food in Mackinaw City! The Burger was huge (and that was a single). The fries are fresh hand cut potatoes and again huge portions. Would like to try their fish next time. Service was great! Super friendly,clean, inviting dining room. Worth waitin to get over the bridge to have lunch!

I had a great olive burger and fries AND ice cream. All super-good. The place was a fun atmosphere--great picnic tables and room decor--super clean, too. The owner was so friendly to chat with. I'll be back anytime we pass through.
