Took my son here last week for his 21st Bday.. Luv this bar!! Also luv the fact that it’s 4 bars in one place and the bartenders are Amazing!! Thank you so much for the great experience and providing an Awesome place to celebrate!!

Google
Moondogs is the perfect spot for a fun night out! The karaoke back room is always a blast, with great song choices and an energetic crowd. There are plenty of pool tables to keep things interesting, multiple bars so you’re never waiting too long for a drink, and the overall vibes are just unbeatable. Whether you’re singing, playing, or just hanging out, it’s always a good time!

Google
honestly have never eaten here before. But I would love to give a shoutout to my favorite bartender ever Connor. His band rocks, and he always whips up a fantastic drink!

My husband and I decided to go out for a friend’s birthday. The first thing my husband figured out was that there is only a urinal in the men’s bathroom near the pool room, he found that really odd. The ambiance is amazing the karaoke room is really small but oh so much fun!!! We had an amazing time, we had to DoorDash our food, yes they do deliver and the bartender was attentive. He was so awesome, while I wasn’t quite ready to belt out a song, several others did though and it was amazing. Lots of sing alongs, so many people with hidden talents. We only knew one couple when we arrived, by the end of the night we were interacting and talking to everyone in the room. It was so incredibly awesome! Let’s talk about the drinks, oh my goodness were they good! The lemon drops were right on time and for your birthday they give you a tiara!

Google
This is definitely a bar you go to if you want to party hard. There’s four different bars, you can take your choice. There were a lot of very drunk people, it did get out of control in some areas and we would get out of the area. At some points we didn’t feel very safe, two women should not go alone. Lots of Security to haul off the wild people. Girls should go in groups, preferably with other guys or their boyfriends. The guys they were very aggressive and touchy-feely. We did not appreciate that. We would not go back for that reason. We waited over 30 minutes for a drink at the bar. You have to go to a bar that’s not busy. We had a good time for the first and last time we went. But we don’t live in Atlanta so it won’t matter. They have plenty of customers. The place was packed. It did not have a cover charge that night. We waited in line about 20 minutes to get in. I would go earlier. We went at midnight.

Google
Personally a big fan. Staff is awesome. Atmosphere is incredible, there are 5 different rooms/themes. 90s Pool hall, European pool hall, American tavern, kpop neon karaoke, and an EDM room at night. Update: years later post undergrad, it's still a vibe 🫶🏿🫡

Google
Very chill spot, good security and safe parking. This place has a little something for everyone. Need a table to sit and chat heck yes. Looking to play beer pong with the homies. Karaoke but of course. Darts yes sir. Need a decent dance floor, well this is the place for you. Drinks are reasonably priced, good vibes, multiple bars to get drinks and separate environments on the same bar. Get yourself on down to moondogs you'll be glad you did.

Google
Great bar! Karaoke, darts, pool, poker, and more! Nice environment to hang out with friends and enjoy some reasonably priced drinks

Yelp
Nice place, different rooms. No problems solid night. I like the game room with games to play and the EDM room with heads to bang. Lol. Nice family fun

Yelp
We had the absolute best time here with karaoke! Not sure if the rest of the patrons of the bar liked our songs as much as we did, but we had an absolute blast! Each room has a different active, great for a night on the town with friends

Yelp
This spot is really fun! We parked right out front (for free!) because we got there at 9pm as soon as they opened. I love that they have different spaces with different vibes. There are pool tables, several different bars, karaoke, and rave looking dance bar, and other spaces I didn't explore on my first trip. We spent our time in the karaoke bar, and had a blast! Drinks are cheap, and the service is friendly. Will definitely be back for another good time. :)

Yelp
Great place to go out. I went out with my girlfriend and her friends on a double date and although I'm told that night was a "slow night," I thought the place had a good amount of people. What surprised me was how lit karaoke was. Normally people are too skiddish to get up and sing, but here so many people were eager to go up--it was a real fun time. Also, for the single people out there, I saw lots of good looking people and good ratios, so I'd say there's plenty here for both single and taken people alike. Add tot hat numerous security staff and I think this place is a must for those in the area.

Yelp
I've been coming to this bar for years. Its always been a college bar where the younger crowd comes to hang out. I came recently when I had some friends in town. This is the first time I ever paid to enter and it was $40/pp. I thought that was a ridiculous amount but we still paid since my friends were visiting. Once we got in the music was great. The drinks were just ok and were about $20 each but we still had a good time. I doubt I'd go back because it still wasnt worth the price.

Carlos P.

Yelp
Security accuses and abuses people even after you ask for footage of proof and they will refuse to look over the footage and hold on to you. Just be wary of your actions as you may be accused of misdoings that you haven't done. Please have fun bartenders are nice and doing there job.
google avatar

Daniel D.

Yelp
Nice hang out spot. Plenty of great drinks and there sour bombs are good The stairs suck when your leaving lol.

Yelp
Came here one night for a girls night out and had a great time. The music was good and it had different rooms and we enjoyed different ambience of each room. We had multiple shots and had a great time and our bartender Van was super nice! Definitely come with friends and enjoy!

Yelp
Moondogs bar is a great recommendation for young people, who like to have fun in a great atmosphere. At this bar you can do so many different things. It has many different rooms, darts, beer pong, karaoke, pool, and dance. They also have a big bar area where they play different types of music. The drinks service are really good and they have strong drinks. I have a couple of favorite drinks there and they are not too expensive. There is no cover charge to enter the bar, but you must be 21+ to enter. The bartenders are some of the best. They are fast and very friendly. They have 4 separate bars. Table games are also available for you to enjoy with your friends. In one of the rooms they only play electronic music, it is very fun and very crazy. It has glowing wall art lights that look so good in the dark. There is parking available near the bar. It can be free, but usually costs between $10 or $20 depending where you want to park. If you do not want to pay, you can park on the street or in the surrounding neighborhood street. It is definitely more risky to park in the street near the bar or in the neighborhood nearby. My advice is to pay for your parking, so when you come back you are not surprised to find a broken window on your car. You have to remember this bar is located in Buckhead and it is surrounded by other bars and lots of people. Moondogs is a very entertaining place you will never be bored. Every time I go, I have a great time. You can not smoke inside even if it is an electronic cigarette, that's the only bad thing. They are open Thursday to Saturday from 9 pm to 3 am. Awesome place! I can not tell you much about the games available such as pool, darts and videopoker because I didn't do much of that. I am not going to lie; my favorite thing is to have some good drinks and dance. One of the cooler things in this bar is its dance room. This room of the bar is where you can dance all night with the neon lights, and when you wear the right colors in your accessories and your clothes it glows in the dark. If you want to get a little crazy, they even have a striptease pole on stage for you to enjoy and have fun. Moondogs is a place where you can do so much. You can enjoy the games there on multiple TV's in a modern and cozy environment. Another feature in this place is its karaoke bar. You can participate in singing the songs you want without any reservations. They do have rules before enjoying the karaoke machine, such as you need to buy a drink to be able to sing. Moondogs is a great place with great people, drinks and fun. They serve a variety of different types of beer and liquor. One of the things to keep in mind when you go out to this bar is its closing time. Because it is in the City of Atlanta it closes the door at 2:30 A.M. They are very strict about the curfew and immediately makes you leave the establishment. This bar is my weekend spot. It can get crowded pretty quickly and parking can be difficult, but you can't beat the fun and great drink special.

Yelp
One can barley walk around and people really mistreat this place. Almost slipped twice because people spill there there drink and I don't blame the cleaning crew because it gets to crowded to clean. It's ratchet tbh

Yelp
I came back a year later. Still, same great place. Shelby at the bar is AWESOME. I will be back.

Yelp
Moondogs was LIT! This was our second stop in our bar hopping adventure and it was a good choice. We found a place in the bar, and service was great. Brian too good care of us the entire night! Moondogs is located in Buckhead, and this area is perfect for bar hopping because there's a couple bars right next to each other (Red Martini, Hole in the Wall, and more). There's so much stuff to do. From pool tables, beer pong, table tops game and more. Sometimes even karaoke I heard. Smoking is permitted inside, so mind this if you're not a smoker. It was crowded on a Saturday night, but we still had fun. Drinks are cheap, and they have so many deals going on. Would totally be back! Parking can be a pain, I recommend trying to find street parking and walk to the bar. A veces, incluso karaoke.

Yelp
Worst experience ever, will literally kick you out even if you aren't responsible of anything? I was literally waiting in line for the restroom and some girls next to me decided to smoke but they decided to kick me out but not them?? I literally even have a VIP card cause I would go pretty often, plus the security man handles girls.

Yelp
We paid $10 for parking across the street at the church and no cover for entry. This place has something called the inception bomb that is 1 shot of whiskey, 1 Jager bomb, and 1 vodka orange juice. Pretty awesome drink if you ask me and definitely a great way to get the party started. This bar was lit on a Saturday night. The DJ on the dancefloor was absolutely killing it. It was so packed that there was perspiration all over the ceiling. Karaoke area let's you sing a song after purchasing a drink. There was also a popular pool area and beer pong tables. Had a fun night here and it wasn't too rowdy. Most ppl kept it classy and composed.
google avatar

Liz U.

Yelp
Great spot! After midnight if you choose to come, turn around and leave. The line is insane and will wrap around the whole building. I love their $4 sour bombs & there's a lot of entertainment throughout the whole night.

Yelp
Idiot bouncer rejected my 29 year old friend at the door because she's from New Jersey. Learn to do the easiest job in the world and differentiate between children and adults. Unbelievable
google avatar

Bailie S.

Yelp
Update: the owner of the bar keeps saying my friend violated the dress code. this is untrue. the bouncer EXPLICITLY said my friend was to pay $20 for violating his personal dress code by being a man wearing pink. when i took this photo of him, he proceeded to physically hit my breast and subsequently my phone from my hand. the bar manager made no effort to reach out to me until an ig post i made kinda blew up and a lot of people got upset. now he's trying to lie and say that we made the whole thing up. what happened last friday night was traumatizing. we didn't imagine it, we didn't exaggerate it, it was very real and very horrifying. stop trying to lie and gaslight to cover your pathetic homophobic asses and do better.

Maya W.

Yelp
I went to MD about a month ago for the first time and had an AMAZING experience. I knew I had to go back. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for my second visit. The bouncer was extremely rude. I went with two other friends and he refused to let them in because they had vertical IDs; we're all over 21 and he didn't even look at the IDs properly. This was made even worse by the fact that he didn't even announce the "new policy" to the entire line. We waited in the cold for 15 minutes just to get to the front and be told we couldn't get in. He claimed that the policy was put in place the previous night and refused to communicate with us any more than that. I thought that this was going to be a new regular spot for me and my friends, so now I'm just sad.

Kimberly C.

Yelp
I have been to Moondogs many many times and usually, I love it! Great music and great drinks, so many activities to keep you from being bored. BUT when I went on Saturday the bouncer was not accepting IDS that were vertical. He refused to check that we are of age, just because our IDs were vertical. They were only allowing horizontal IDS despite everyone being above 21+ age. This was a huge letdown! The security was also unwilling to explain why this was occurring.

Yelp
Moondogs is a Buckhead staple. It's upstairs from a couple other decent bars, but it's my favorite on its particular block. Be aware of the dress code. They aren't always super hard on you about it during; but I have seen people turned away for gym shorts, sandals, etc. They have a variety of chill spaces; a nice beer pong table, a small edm-esque room and great seating for larger groups in the main bar. They have darts, billiards, hula hoops, etc. I would say don't come here alone. This isn't a great place to be if you're alone. Especially if you're a woman. There are a lot of handsy and sloppy men in Buckhead, that's not something that you can avoid, but be safe. Drinks are priced decently. Wednesday nights at the best nights to have beers with a few friends. They have great drinks specials. This place, like all Buckhead bars, is small. It's not quite as small as others in the area, but on the weekend expect it to be packed out.

Darryl D.

Yelp
Dope spot very diverse scene easy to meet new people I would recommend took a couple lil vibes here

Peyton B.

Yelp
I have never written a Yelp review in my life but last night sealed it for me. My boyfriend was falling asleep at a table here and the giant bouncers pushed him down a flight of stairs. His arms are covered in scrapes and he broke his toe. The bouncers were probably 250 pounds and they were pushing me and my friend as well. They used excessive force and their behavior is disgusting. They're lucky I'm not suing. My boyfriend could've gotten killed or paralyzed from that.

Yelp
Beer Pickle shots Jager meister! Quality written all over it! Super entertainment! Amazing atmosphere! Good music! Decent crowd! Played Jenga (big blocks!), Darts, pool and had a blast with close friends! What more is a bar supposed to do?

Cedric W.

Yelp
Amazing staff and great place to venture to on weekends or even on the weekday for a drink and great vibes.
google avatar

Diana T.

Yelp
Beer pong. Flip Cup. Darts. Pool Tables. Dance floors. Decent drink specials. Free popcorn. Great Atmosphere. That definitely sums up Moondogs. Fun place for 20 something year olds to hang out at. Definitely a diverse crowd. You run into everyone here. They allow smoking inside, so it can get pretty smokey in here. Come here for a fun night in Buckhead!

Sav P.

Yelp
Very packed. Extremely hot and crowded and bartenders would help everyone else but us so it was impossible just to get a drink and the music wasn't that great. Good luck parking.

Sarah B.

Yelp
kiara is awesome at the pub bar she deserves a raise!!!!!! she gave great service and the drinks are awesome!
google avatar

Shirley F.

Yelp
Fun place for cheap drinks. They have specials diff nights. I went on a Thursday night and it was $2 bombs. Karaoke was also going on. They have diff games around the bar like darts, jenga, pool tables. Returned on Friday for the $5 beer pitchers so took advantage of playing beer pong. Bartenders are attentive and staff is always around keeping the bar clean.
google avatar

Yelp
What a fun bar to go to! It's located right in buckhead next to two other bars, Red Martini and Hole in the Wall! Make sure you have your IDs because they check! You can pay for parking at the church for $10 or behind Trader Joe's for $5. You can also park next to Sephora for $5. Some of my friends say they find street parking for free but I wouldn't risk it because you can easily get booted! It has three different bars you can order drinks from! There's several beer pong tables around the place. You can play giant jenga! (Really scary when they fall!) there's a room to play flip cup and they also have pool tables in three different rooms. They also offer karaoke and a dancing pole right next to it. There's an EDM room that opens a little later but it also has a pole and a room to dance in! There's also a room that just has tables and seats and booths to relax in or talk with your friends. I've been going to this bar for years and I somehow always end up back here! I even visited it for my birthday yesterday!
google avatar

Yelp
Cheap drinks, but not worth a visit by any means. Rude bartenders and cocaine use in restrooms.

Andréa E.

Yelp
I love this bar!!! I just moved to Atl a couple of months ago, and when i found a place that has karaoke for most of the week... i was sold. I love Alex and lani, they are amazing bartenders and make my experience amazing!!!
google avatar

Yelp
This is a large neighborhood bar based in Buckhead. The location is actually quite good since it is next to 2-3 other bars which are located in the same complex! It's quite a fun bar in my opinion and they usually have weekly deals here to be easy on your wallet. The bar has multiple rooms, some for pong, darts, open bar area, dance floor, and karaoke. So everyone should be pretty happy here and with plenty of seating once you get tired. Senior Wednesdays or as some people call Welfare Wednesdays are great deals. Some popular drinks like cranberry vodka or some OK beers are for $1-2. This a great deal. Beware though, you must make an $8 minimum, so be prepared to open a tab and have everyone's check on one card. Also remember, to ask what is left on the menu for the deals. You have to come early or else these $1-2 deals do in fact run out! The bar is decently maintained for the amount of people who visit it. Service is normal from a bar, pretty standard. Bartenders are really nice and patient. Bathrooms are bad here, open urinals or whatever they are known as. Not the best place and kinda ill maintained. Bottom line: a bar you should definitely hit up!

Cindy L.

Yelp
Went there tonight for poker night. Everything is cool. We're playing poker. There is five people at the table, one is my boyfriend. I'm a black female. One dude, who had been speaking English all night, starts speaking Spanish to two guys at the table. I asked him, "speak English please." One guy gets upset and starts getting loud with me. We start arguing over the fact the only certain people can understand the person DEALING! The guy calls me a b****. I get upset and I go off on the dude. The bar does NOT kick him out. They do nothing and I leave. So you decide for yourself if this bar is worth going to. If you're a woman then you should probably find another bar.

Yelp
This place is alright. The bar is good for picking up guys if you're seated but not too great if you're trying to get to a bartender. I like the separation to allow for different kinds of music. We were able to get drinks within 10 minutes, which is alright considering that it was around 11pm and so not too crowded. The mood is good and fun, good for a girls night out a bachelorette party of a forget-the-crappy-job evening. Drinks are slightly stronger than the average Atlanta pour (for the price that is great!) but nothing fancy. Also good, we need more down to earth places in Buckhead. I think that we can use a few more places that can entertain both fresh out of college baby faces, almost into the sad 30-34 bracket people who are just relieved to get a mixed drink under $10 (that's a me), and the 'i'm really trying to pull off the half way down to the knees pants and a plain t look, but i'm 35 and everyone is innardly laughing at me' (that's my ex)c crowd. okay, sorry long story short - it's great for a lot of crowds. Did come with the (ex)boyfriend though (which was superfun at the time) but can't wait to the check it out again when it's just me and a bunch of girlfriends.

Yelp
Fun dive bar environment! All the standard trappings, pool tables, darts etc., I went for friday night karaoke! There is a smaller room toward the back with its own bar and a little stage in the corner with 2 mics set up. The bartender, who was Leona on Friday, is also the K.J. She has a great ear and generally makes you sound pretty good, as she is also an impressive singer in her own right. The only drawback is by midnight when it gets crowded, she is pulling double duty between bartending and taking requests. So, the take away is, if you want to sing, get there around 10 PM and you'll practically have the place to yourself like a private room! There is generally a great vibe and lots of energy with a very supportive crowd and large playlist. Grab your posse and show early for maximum mic time!

Yelp
Moon dogs is the tits!! I really love it. Pool tables! Karaoke!! Strobe lights!!!!! Jenga! $3 shots!! I guess the only thing I don't like is the girls bathroom very very very scary almost feels like a horror movie sometimes. Whatever you do... don't smoke weed in there alone... You will be very paranoid!! Anyways there's a section of this bar with a pole and I love to slide up and down when I'm crunk on a Saturday night. This bar rules and I have only one suggestion please clean the carpet on the stairs

Dataniel J.

Yelp
Me and a friend of mine was trying this place out yesterday. Walked in went straight to the bar. Next thing I notice was a dog on the counter and I'm like are they serious? I asked the bar tender who dog it was he said that it was the managers dog. Then the dog came over and went over drink and kept walking to the other side of the bar I want to throw my drink at this point. Let me back up, the Asian bartenders did not want to service they kept looking at us and trying to decide who was going to talk to us we were the only ones at the bar that were black. So the Asian guy finally came over and asked us what we wanted, that was the first strike. Then the dog. After that people started to get loud behind us so I turned around to look and two guys were standing up yelling at a lady a black lady and these guys were white. They were calling her out her name over a game of poker no one defended her I told the bartender to get the manager they were like no that's not our problem. I started walking over to them and the manager finally walked over and tried to calm the lady down and told her she need to calm down or she will get kicked out, said nothing to the guys though. I was disgusted I wanted to go off but instead I decided to leave and she left as well

Yelp
Great vibes .... great music .... friendly atmosphere....bartenders are good and there is so much to do with your friends at this place ... and you can smoke in there I saw a win win

Yelp
Okay. This place obviously caters more to the college crowd, but there's nothing wrong with that. Moondogs has entertainment for almost everyone: karaoke, dance floor, beer pong, flip cup, darts, pool. What more do you need? The place is dead around 10 PM, but it quickly fills up throughout the night. They have relatively cheap drink specials, and I've randomly received a free shot from a bartender, so I can't complain in that department. They do have a card minimum though (I think it was around $8-10). The music is so-so compared to my favorite place in Buckhead (Red Door Tavern), but it's still decent and dance-able. Visit Moondogs if you're out in Buckhead and enjoy the college crowd. If you want to keep it classy, don't.

Yelp
Never thought I would come back here, but I did. In the early-to-mid 2000s, Moondogs was a very popular bar for Georgia Tech students, especially those in fraternities and sororities. I hadn't visited since my days at Tech, until recently when a group of friends from out-of-town came to visit. We went bar-hopping in Buckhead and eventually spent the most of our time at Moondogs. The bar is pretty much the same as I remember it, though not as many college kids. We went on a Friday night from around midnight to 3am. The crowd was heavily weighted towards twenty-somethings and more diverse than I've ever seen it. Lots of people, but not crowded. Level of smokiness varied by room. One of my friends made some good points about why he likes Moondogs: space is big, atmosphere is laid back, and drinks are cheap. There are several rooms and multiple bars. Plenty of seating, TVs, pool tables, flip cup and beer pong tables, darts, dance floor, and karaoke room with stage. So there seems to be something for everyone here. ESPN is projected on the wall outside, so you can catch some sports while waiting for a cab. Our bartender, Megan, was really sweet and did a wonderful job keeping our drinks coming. The urinals in the men's restrooms are designed with the metal trough configuration, so you can pee en masse with others over buckets of ice. I just happened to be looking up during one of my breaks and was pleasantly surprised to see the ceiling (in at least one of the men's restrooms) plastered in cutouts of Playboy centerfolds.

Yelp
New Yorker here - coming from such a crazy nightlife, Moondogs matches the intensity and spirit that I am used to. This place is really fun and has a young college crowd on weekends. The parking can get tough if you come late (like what everyone else has said). There are multiple rooms in this bar, rooms for beer pong, rooms for darts,a main bar area, a house/edm stage, and alternative rock room. The place is very smart in terms of being versatile and being capable of catering to multiple crowds. The drinks are literally a fraction of what I'd spend in New York. This is probably why I walk out with my pockets full and a good buzz. There are amazing drink specials: $4 jager bombs ALL night and really affordable pitchers. Definitely get yourself what's called an "INCEPTION BOMB" because this one drink alone will do it for the night ($20). May be a line outside if you come after 12-1. Every time I visit Atlanta I come to this place!

Yelp
Moondogs is the only bar I enjoy going to in Buckhead. Traditionally known to be a fratty college bar, I tend to see people of all ages. Popular with the Asians because free cover, free POPCORN and cheap drinks. Wednesdays, or "welfare" Wednesdays are the days to go and get cheap drinks: $1 vodka cocktails, $1 draft beers (ask what's on draft for $1 beforehand... Some may not be $1), $4 bombs (I think this is every night) and $5 pitchers (of the $1 draft beers). The crowd is always a little crazier on Wednesday nights which is why... You should go on Wednesday. Lots of games and things to do: flip cup tables, beer pong tables throughout the bar, karaoke, pool, a dance floor (although not as expansive as Hole in the Wall, the patrons at Moondogs are slightly classier...). The owner, Mike, has a full set up at the bar. He's always hosting poker events and fundraisers, letting patrons get drunk for a good cause. He takes good care of me and my crew and makes sure we have a good time but get home safely. He introduced me to some of my favorite drinks today (can someone say Rumchata?? Mmmm). There is usually a local DJ in the dance area, and Caitlyn will set you up with karaoke when you order drinks in the karaoke room. Need I say more? Moondogs is the place to have a good time!

Yelp
Went here to meet up with a date this past Sat. Yeah. It was a whim meet up since I desperately needed a pick me upper from the dramatic events during the day, and this outing and place def accomplished that goal. I really thought this place was cool with its many different rooms: dart, beer pong, karaoke, pool, dance, and bar areas. The crowd here was young adults. There was a few older folks, but mostly the early 20's to 30's crowd. There was a lot of Asian faces to be seen as well. I honestly think the drinks here were a tad steep, but then again, you are in Buckhead... And I guess we got the good stuff too. lol. Parking... Hmmm. My friend and I ended up parking at the corner shopping complex. We paid $10, but it was around the corner from Moondogs' so the walk was sweet and short.

Yelp
This Review is solely based off the fact I'm 31...But The music was ok..I keep hearing it is so many women but everywhere I go alllllll I see is Men..Men dominate the Atlanta Club scene.....Maybe I'm not going to the right places..But the crowd looked like 19-25...It was some turning up but did I have a good time I cant say that I did....The women usually come with guys already or in a group of girls who seem to take pleasure in turning down guys that want to dance with them. I will give this club a 3 out of 5 Beers

Yelp
Moondogs is located on the floor above the bar with the nastiest floors in Atlanta: Hole in the Wall. While Moondog's is no where close to having the poor interior condition that Hole in the Wall has, it is definitely on its way. I think every time that I have been to Moondogs, it was usually to escape Hole in the Wall; however, after a little bit of time in that general area, I often found myself wandering out on the street in front of the bars alone, desperately looking for a cab ride home. What is it that makes Moondog's so hated by some and celebrated by others? Perhaps the only answer to that enigma of a question lies in the heart of diverse social groups that know of the location. Like most of the reviewers of this bar have stated, this place is a fraternity boy haven. You show me an individual who is not wearing his favorite college team's hat and a polo shirt, and I will show you an individual who does not want to be here. The bartenders themselves are not too bad. I was actually surprised how quick they were able to assist everyone who needed a drink. It also surprised me how the bartenders never played favorites with individuals who were obviously regulars, considering they were on a first name basis with the bartenders.

Yelp
Let me premise this by stating that I'm very particular about bars. I like quiet venues where I can chat with my company & enjoy crafted cocktails or craft beers. I gave Moondogs a whirl as I've heard good things about it. It is definitely a college bar meant for drinking cheap alcohol in volume. Their setup is plagued with beerpong & flip cup tables throughout the establishment. It's a great place for kids to achieve their objective when they spend their night out. Unfortunately for review's sake, I'm beyond that stage in my life. I was out of my element. I can imagine that this would be an AWESOME bar that I would've loved frequenting had I been here about 5+ years ago. When you come to Moondogs, enjoy whatever novelty drink floats your boat. Perhaps, indulge in a few drinking games. Put on your dancing shoes in the club area or grab the mic to showcase vocal skills (or lack thereof). However, if you're at Moondogs, chances are you're definitely below the age of 25 & just looking to have a wild night. This is probably THE place for you.

Yelp
I had the most fun at Moondogs on a bachelorette trip. We went on a Thursday, it wasn't packed but the people we met were super nice and friendly. The staff was engaging and fun. We went back on Friday night. We're late 20 late, early 30s. The crowd seemed really young, maybe freshman in college age. Definitely recommend. They have $4 bomb shots and drink specials on Thursday, I think LOng Islands were $7. Fun place, karaoke, darts, beer pong, Jenga.

Yelp
This place absolutely sucks. The doors stayed locked and never even opened, even though bartenders were inside and their website said they were open. It's literally a trashy hole in the wall with apparently lazy employees. Will never even attempt to go back.
