Nicely maintained park at the heart of downtown. Lately it has been taken over by homeless people hovering all over. It’s uncomfortable to spend time with family

Moore Square is truly one of the best spots in Raleigh and has something special for everyone. The park itself is beautifully designed with plenty of open space, shaded areas, and well-kept grounds that make it perfect for a walk, picnic, or simply relaxing. There are fun games and activities set up around the park that families and kids love, which adds to the lively and welcoming atmosphere. The surroundings are vibrant, and on many days you’ll find a variety of food trucks offering delicious options that really enhance the experience. Beyond visiting as a guest, I’ve also had the privilege of being a vendor during events at Moore Square. The energy here is always so positive, and the community support makes it one of the most rewarding places I’ve ever participated in as a vendor. It’s not just a park, but a gathering place where people connect, enjoy, and create lasting memories.

I was just in the park and I was listening to my reggae music at a low tone.. A racist security officer told me that I have to shut off my MONKEY MUSIC or leave the park! I asked him why he was attacking my culture when I come here alot when I'm working in Raleigh NC. I live in Fayetteville NC and not once in 23 years has anyone ever said anything to me that was so evil and mean. Then I asked him why he's harassing me because he's not police or even law enforcement and why not bother the people using drugs and yelling. His older partner said because people like me are confusing people and we're forgetting our place!! I picked up my phone and I started to record them both and they both got silent!!! Then when I got up to throw away my lunch that had been ruined the younger one started walking towards me with a pepper spray can. He said that if I didn't stop recording and leave that he would give me a real reason to be upset! I left an I definitely plan to take legal action against them both! It's 2025 and love runs Raleigh not hate! They shouldn't be there with that kind of attitude, that's why men and women if color are getting killed everyday!!! This is not ok, I don't disturb the peace and I never cause trouble! If they can't leave that racist stuff in the past. They don't need to be security! They're putting people in harms way! They're not police and freedom and speech and fellowship is a right! I wish I could post my video here but I'm definitely not letting this go!!!

It's one of Raleigh's newest public parks. They hold special events, craft fairs, and weeknight movies in the park, and they have fun games available for everybody to enjoy. And it has a slide and a splash pad, so it's great for families and kids. What's not so great is around 5 o'clock in the evening, that's when the homeless start to arrive. It's not that we don't feel safe. It's just clear that it's not a family place anymore.

Moore Square in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, it’s a place of the historic history dating back to 1792, it was a public gathering so it’s an iconic place. The significant place has and now been refurbished to what it is now, a pleasant square open SQUARE space, it encompasses lots of green space, lots of well maintained shrubbery, it has lots of interesting touches like the hopscotch mat , a ping pong table a little seating auditorium, it also encompasses a eatery called Square Burger which I didn’t sample however it comes highly recommended, not forgetting the enclosed dog park for the four feet little doggies to do their exercise. So Moore Square is a place to relax and watch the world go by in the comfort of lovely green iconic place.

Nice public square..especially after the remodel. Lots of grass, a water feature and close to downtown, Marbles and restaurants. Lots of homeless people so I can’t really give it 5 stars. Always see a lot of people doing yoga on the weekends and it seems like they events out there too.

They really cleaned this area out nicely. The bus station is clean & a bit safer, the park is huge & beautiful, & they built a nice little burger joint convenient to anyone in that area. I had a great time there with my family & we for sure will return.
