"Mordisko & Salsa’s Venezuelan sampler, including two mini arepas, empanadas, tequenos (cheese/guava sticks) and mandocas (fried cheesy doughnuts), is a great way to graze one’s way through the cuisine for beginners. Sancocho de res (beef soup), available on weekends only, is an excellent choice on cold winter days." - Didi Paterno

Everything here is amazing. Service is timely and music is always fun and upbeat. Regular customers!

The food was good. Some of the best arepas and chachapas I’ve ever had. One arepa, one cachapa, and two frescolitos came to a total of $40.65.

The food was excellent. The quantity was excellent for the price. Will go back again to try more of the food. I highly recommend it.

First time trying Venezuelan food and mad I haven’t tried it sooner. The food is tasty and hefty as well. Went with the 1 and 2 meat Arepas and can’t really go wrong with either grilled or fried. Also got the Chachapa Con Queso de Mano. There’s an option to add meat but opted to just keep it meatless. There’s a slight sweetness to it that I think comes from the plantains. Would definitely eat here again and try the other items on the menu especially the Patacones.

Very bland and smothered in mayonnaise and ketchup. I'm not sure if that's how Venezuelan food is but it wasn't good. Also food was cold. Service is ok. The server spoke very little English so not very helpful to first time consumers. She did smile alot and check back frequently.

While the food was excellent, the lengthy wait to be served was quite disappointing. Even though I was dining alone, it took nearly an hour for my meal to arrive. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback to heart and makes improvements to their service efficiency in the future. Also, they did not offer any apologies for the delay or give me another drink after such a long wait

We tried M & S a few days ago thinking it was a Mexican restaurant and although it's Venezuelan, we were very happy with our mistake! It's a small place with big flavor and super-friendly people. We had no idea what to order and went with the owner's(?) suggestions. She was very helpful explaining what each item was and we weren't disappointed. I tried this crazy roast beef, ham, cabbage, and cheese sandwich on plantains (patacones) and my wife had a pork sandwich with a huge chunk of cheese on it (arepa). Definitely try their version of fried mozzarella sticks. Different and awesome. As you can see from the photos, servings are huge! Thanks, we're glad you opened in our neighborhood! We'll be back to try those burgers you told us about.

Unfortunately I have to say I'm done with this place. You'll never know what quality of food you are about to get. This place offers zero consistency - The only good things are the empanadas. Please do not order cachapas!. My last order I receive watery, raw pancakes instead of cachapas with a rubber kind of cheese. It was awful and we just couldn't eat it. First time I ordered cachapas in May 2022 were good but every time after that first order quality of food got worst.. Honestly very poor quality and lack of consistency. Very expensive raw cachapas. Empanadas are ok. however, make sure you get the right order, I ordered 3 carne mechada and they sent pabellon empanadas instead of Carne Mechada. If for any reason you decide to order food at Mordisko and Salsa please do not order Cachapas or anything with Queso de mano.

Yelp
This was my first time coming a Venezuelan food place and it didn't disappoint! There are a lot of options on the menu, but honestly, I thin whatever you end up choosing will be delicious. The portions here are huge and can definitely feed 2 people. One thing to note is that they automatically add gratuity, no matter the party size.

Yelp
Hole-in-the-wall perfection! The server spoke to us in Spanish the whole time so good luck with that, everyone. I was craving arepa and this place hit the spot. The Fried Cheese with the mixed meats was phenomenal. Grab a fork as it's not a pretty eat but it sure was a delicious one. Meats were tender, sauces were savory, and the sandwich was abundant. Don't skimp out on the juice. Can't remember what it's called but it was sweet, tangy, and refreshing. Tamarind possibly? Anyway, we're going back soon!

Yelp
The food is good I can't deny that, but I don't understand why asking for more sauce is always a issue , 4 time this happens to me and the only reason I even ask for more is because if you ask for one order they will give you for free 2 green sauces and a white one in a sampler cup with a lid, I asked for 2 orders and they gave me the same amount , so since is two people I need the other 3 for that second order as well , I asked politely to get a few more and they said " I already put some in there " i asked again to please just get a few more and they said " of course but I'll charge you 1$ for each extra cup, which is honestly too expensive for the amount they provide , if you eat at the store they let you add as much sauce as you want no charge add it , so why would they charge so much for a take out order ? Or even argue with me saying that I already had some, I would understand if they want to charge me 50 cents for each since they small but I left really upset with the attitude I was treated with and the overprice sauce that I had to ask over and over because they refused to give me more unless I payed more. Please fix this is not fear that take out orders are more expensive for no reason

Yelp
I live walking distance from this place and never even knew it existed! How is that possible?! They serve a variety of classic staple Venezuelan food such as arepas, patacones, lomo saltado, salchipapas, etc. I was super excited about the patacones, which is essentially a jibaritos. It's basically a sandwich, but instead of regular bread, fried smashed plantains are used instead. The boyfriend and I, of course ordered the hamburger and patacones to share between the two of us. Both were very tasty and highly recommended. While the patacon was amazing, and I plan to return for more patacon in the near future, I wish the fried smashed plaintains were a little bit more crispy and maybe garlicky. The burger was super tasty. I ordered it with steak and pork chop. I thought maybe steak with pork chop would be weird but it was such a heavenly match. I had trouble with the menu since there were no pictures. However, the server we had was super awesome. She showed me their instagram filled with pictures and it helped plenty.

Yelp
This people are crooks!

Yelp
#covidtimesreview The good: plenty of parking, they have about 7 tables, of 4 people each. The service is excellent service, the waitress was very polite and bilingual. They have a lunch menu from 11-4 PM. Service is super fast, our food was ready within 10 min, they sell Venezuelan treats (Toronto, Pirullin, frozen tequenos, etc). Decoration is really cool, it gives you a flavor of Venezuelan traditions). The not so good: it gets pack pretty easy, and they only has one waitress. No alcohol beverages (which is not necessarily a bad thing). Google them, the address is different to the one in Yelp. But, it's right on google maps

Yelp
First time trying Venezuelan food. I went with the cashier's recommendation (not sure what I got since the Menu was in Spanish). But I really enjoyed the taste and will definitely come back again!

Yelp
They run out of items throughout the day so call the place directly to order because they may not be able to fulfill your order. Which I went through and it was a pain. However, you can't beat their parrilla which is an insane amount of various meats for only $15.

Yelp
ordene 40 mins antes de llegar por medio de su pagina. llegue y ellos ni cuenta de mi orden. aparte muy mal servicio. como si me estuviera. haciendo un favor. MUY MALA EXPERIENCIA

Yelp
As soon as I walked it I felt right at home! The staff was friendly and bilingual. Food was made fast, and I recommend the tequeños

Yelp
Wow it was awesome to try something different on once. It was amazing. The food was great so many flavors in one sandwich. The place is very clean and our service was great. Can't wait to go back and try something different again.

Yelp
Pay in cash or they will gladly tip themselves. If you're looking for a place that stays open late and you don't wanna go to Whataburger or Taco Hell, Mordiskos will feed that hunger. I got a double meat burger with bacon and they put potato strip chips on it. The paddies weren't very big, I had a lot of bread left over when the meat was all gone. The bacon was barely cooked. I took it out cause I wasn't comfortable eating it. I also got the special fries which just have 2 melted sliced cheese (velveeta) and some ketchup drizzled over them with some bacon. The bacon on the fries was cooked just fine. I still want to try their other dishes but as stated earlier, I'm going with cash only.

Yelp
Unfortunately our food looked and tasted like it had sat our for a very long time before it reached us. Also, the order was made incorrectly on each arepa. Gummy meat, poor preparation, and dry plantains. Sadly, the food was nearly inedible.

Yelp
Okay, I've been driving by this place for a while. Today I decided to give it a shot and I'm glad I did. I ordered the regular hamburger, nothing regular about it. Probably one of the best burgers I've eaten in a long time. I also ordered the tequinos, wow. If you like cheese sticks you will freaking love them. Lastly, I ordered the special fries. They were excellent, covered in cheese, bacon and ketchup. You must try this place. The staff are very friendly. Can't wait to go back. Yum

Yelp
After reading many positive reviews I was excited to give this place a try. Unfortunately, I was not able to review their food today, Only their customer service. Hoping they'll answer next time I call with a hunger for Venezuelan!

Yelp
Super great place! It took me back in time when I saw that Venezuelan street style food! Boyyyy that was great!
