Morleys has grown over the years with many branches across London, but consistency is often a problem and different branches often serve different products ( such as the fries are different in each store).
The fried chicken on my recent visit was okay and the skinny fries were good, but the problem was it was served luke warm. Not cold, but certainly not hot as it should be!
Sadly this is because they clean the hot cupboard hours before they close and put the chicken in the top section to keep warm, which has no heat lamps and so all the food gets cold. This is so they can get out and go home early as soon as they close, instead of cleaning at the end of service.
This needs addressing as it should be hot held at the correct temperature to avoid food poisoning, not Luke warm.
My only other gripe is the lamb ribs are inconsistent. sometimes good, but often tough, full of fat ( a bit of fat is good but some of these ribs are mostly fat) and dry like eating a pair of old boots, so be warned.
Overall it's an average fast food fried chicken venue open till late.
