"Since Morning Glass opened in 2011, plenty of other cafes have sprung up with interiors and menus seemingly designed for Instagram. Morning Glass has retained its rustic, no-frills look — though its open-air space is still plenty charming — focusing instead on its coffee and solid baked goods, including a liliko‘i honey biscuit and savory breakfast sandwiches. If it’s on the menu, get the mac and cheese pancakes, which solves the dilemma of savory or sweet for breakfast. Know before you go: Be prepared to wait, particularly on weekend mornings." - Martha Cheng

We arrived shortly after opening and there was already a line out the door. This is typically a good sign for most any restaurant. After ordering we were able to sit at a small table and enjoy the morning rain. The service was efficient so our food arrived fairly quick for such a busy spot. I ordered a hot London fog with Mac nut milk. It was perfect. As I sipped it it reminded me of fruity pebbles. (5 stars) The London fog paired perfectly with the fig honey glazed scone we ordered. The scone was moist but had a great crumble to it. There were thick chunks of fig throughout the entire pastry and the honey glaze on top made the perfect balance of sweetness. (5 stars) Biscuit Breakfast Sandwich: When it arrived the house-made buttermilk biscuit looked almost as of it had been fried and had difficulty looking appealing. After the first bite things started to improve. The egg was scrambled and well cooked while the red onions and spicy mayo added just enough extra flavor to keep it interesting. The cheddar fully covered everything and was melted so nicely. It was tasty but it was also the kind of sandwich to leave you feeling heavy. (3.5 stars) Breakfast burrito: The burrito started off strong. The first bites were savory, cheesy and a little spicy. The dipping sauce that came with the burrito complemented all the flavors well. As the burrito progressed it became slightly overwhelming due to the excess of cheese and meat. Next time I'd skip adding the extra bacon to it. (4 stars) Lastly the Mac and Cheese pancakes: if you like feeling as though you could pass a way from a heart attack at any moment this option could be for you. The pancakes are fully coated in fried cheese and stuffed with macaroni. After my first bite I began to feel ill. I tried several bites just in case it could get better but it didn't. These were the most overwhelming pancakes I'd ever eaten. We initially ordered them because it sounded fun and exciting. We were not prepared by any means for this. (2 stars) Overall Morning Glass was a great experience and we'd love to go back to try more pastries and other items on their menu. We felt as though this place has a lot of great potential and maybe we just ordered the wrong things for us.

I love this cafe! I visited here two times during my stay. Charming cafe, and friendly baristas. Very relaxing vibes. I ordered simply latte and flat white. Both drinks were delicious. I didn’t try any pastries though. Hopefully I have a chance next time!

Morning Glass should be labeled as a morning or brunch restaurant and not really a coffee shop or cafe. There’s always a line but never feels busy & I was served quite quickly after ordering. Most tables have food orders and while they serve delicious coffee and espresso drinks (and even have an express counter for such online orders) you’re not invited to occupy the space with work or leisure time outside of your dining experience. I wish they would expand and include a relaxing coffee shop vibe as they have improved the decor a bit, though watch for rain clouds & use provided umbrellas. My cortado and blueberry crumble cake were delicious. 🤙🏼

Google
Delicious coffee and pastries. The syrup was a bit sweet for me (I like it a lot less sweet than most people). The carrot cake was THE BEST I've ever had! Highly recommend budgeting lots of time for dine in or ordering ahead online because the line can get pretty long on weekends (~45min). Great spot!

Google
Best in the area, can order basic drinks off their website to avoid the wait but the food is worth the wait and the specialty coffee drips. I've been coming here for many years and will continue to support them. I love this place so much my wife is concerned for me, but she also loves them. WE LOVE YOU MORNING GLASS.

Google
Morning Glass always has perfect lattes that are so smooth and rich. The egg-a-muffin is the best food option on the menu in my opinion! Staff is super friendly. It can get really busy around 8:30/9am.

Google
There's always a line and it's always SLOW. Excellent coffee. People order food, but there is no obvious food menu. Maybe you have to be a member of a secret club. There is a cabinet with pastries with sell-by dates. (My four stars is for the coffee). Maybe they worry that more food orders would allow things down even more. Several outdoor tables, but not enough for the number of customers. You're supposed to scan a QR code to take advantage of the complimentary strip mall parking.

The place has a nice chill vibe. We went around 10 am on a Wednesday, and there was little to no wait. We got the blueberry scone which was delicious, cold brew which had a good strong taste but still refreshing, the sweet tea was amazing with a hint of mint, definitely try the strata...I don't know how to explain it but it was delicious and savory. The real star was the macaroni pancakes. They were savory but sweet and deliciously cheesy. It blew our mind. It's a big portion, so I only ate about 1/4 of mine and saved the rest for later. They have dedicated parking but it is small.

Yelp
Big fan of morning glass! It's a few minutes down the road from where I live. Food is always amazing and coffee is great! Also must try their pastries! They are dog/pet friendly as it's all outdoor/patio seating. So keep in mind if it rains, you might get wet! And if it's windy you may lose your napkins! Would not recommend studying here as there isn't WiFi and seating is limited with high turnover. However, be warned that the lines will be LONG! There's a handful of workers who all work hard, running around and helping each other out to fulfill all of the orders. So even if the line looks about 10-15 people long, be prepared to wait 30+ minutes in line, and maybe another 10 for food. I arrived around 8:10 AM on a sunday for some breakfast burritos (which are amazing) and ordered at 8:45 am (according to my Apple Pay records). I was also told there would be a 20 min wait for food so I walked over to Safeway to buy some flowers for Mother's Day by the time I came back, burritos were just coming out. I'll note that at off hours, the lines may not be long BUT they do sell out of things so there's pros and cons to going early. I've gone around 10:30 on weekends multiple times to find them sold out of the burritos and fried rice omelettes. Weekday menu is different than weekend menu as well. If you are only wanting to order drinks, you may use their online ordering site and pick up on the right side in the back. You'll put your name on the clipboard when you arrive and they'll check it frequently and bring it out when ready. Highly recommend this vs waiting in line. All in all, definitely a nice and yummy spot if you've got a free morning and time to kill.

Yelp
I hadn't been to Morning Glass in ages and was glad to see it doing so well :-) I ordered the pesto and mozzarella sandwich, which comes with tomato, mac nut pesto, arugula, and balsamic on toasted focaccia. SO GOOD. The focaccia was perfectly toasty and crisp, with flaky salt on top, and soft on the inside. The pesto was flavorful, bright, and savory; the mozzarella was soft and creamy; and the arugula was sharp and peppery - I think the arugula was on the younger side, so it wasn't too bitter or anything. I just wish the sandwich was a little bigger, honestly :") it was $15 and I think it utilizes local produce, which is awesome, but I was wanting a liiiitle more after I finished eating. I also ordered the cold brew with a splash of milk (free for cow milk, costs extra for alternative milk). The barista told me they make their own blends for their cold brew and change it up every so often, which is cool! This cold brew blend was okay - it was a little bit too acidic for me. Morning Glass is dog-friendly, with lots of outdoor seating, umbrellas at the tables for shade, and these cute planter boxes everywhere! They do have restrooms for customers to use, which is nice. They also sell bagged coffee, tea, mugs, tshirts, stickers, etc! I was very tempted by the cute stickers.

Yelp
I came here on a Sunday, so it was rightfully packed. I got the breakfast burrito and it was extremely filling, but the cheese was so heavy in my opinion. The service took a while, but there isn't many employees so can't blame them. Overall a fun coffee spot to check out before hiking Manoa falls.

Yelp
Cute and busy cafe in Manoa. They have a lot of ethically sourced coffee beans. I got an espresso soda not realizing it would be so sweet. I thought it would just be like an iced Americano with sparkling water, not with sugar added. My partner got a chai tea latte which he found too foamy without enough tea. It has a really nice ambiance.

Yelp
It's a solid place to pick up coffee to start your morning. They only do immersion brewing for their pour-overs and use only Coava Coffee Roasters (one of my favorite roasters) seasonal beans. If you're only ordering coffee, it would be wise to do the online ordering unless you want to wait a bit. The line wasn't massive this morning, but my dad and I waited almost an hour to get our coffee. The staff is excellent, and there's a good amount of seating if you want to grab a coffee and some of their food items. Parking is not free, but they offer two hours of validation. Overall, this will always be one of the spots where I come to grab a cup of coffee when visiting Oahu.

Yelp
Visited this coffee shop because reviews were claiming it was the best coffee on the island, so I was surprised at how good not only the drinks were, but by the pastry and breakfast selection. I went on a Saturday morning maybe around 9am, and there was a line, so make sure to give yourself plenty of time and not in a rush! There is a small parking lot on site that is shared with the other businesses, and it is complimentary 2 hour parking. There is a QR code as you're in line to enter for your complimentary parking. While I was in line, I had time to do my homework about what to order and take in all the smells. We ordered: Lilikoi butter biscuit - I usually don't like biscuits at all because they're dry. This biscuit was so good! It was crunchy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside, and I finished it so quick! 10/10 would recommend trying! Lemon bar - haven't tried it yet when this review was written. Biscuit breakfast sandwich w/ bacon - a stuffed breakfast sandwich with their crunch and fluffy biscuit. We added bacon to the sandwich and each bite was an explosion of flavors! Mac & cheese pancakes w/ bacon - I was skeptical of this combination but I still ordered it after seeing so many reviews mention it, and I'm so glad I did! The Mac & cheese inside the pancakes just work! And until you try it, I don't think you'll understand. The Mac and cheese in pancake form and paired with maple syrup was soooooo good that I had to show some restraint and not finish it all by myself! MUST TRY ITEM Matcha latte w/ honey and macadamia nut milk - probably the best matcha latte I've had. The matcha latte itself is unsweetened, so I added honey as a sweetener and paired it with the macadamia nut milk. And this combination, in my opinion, was the best pairing for a matcha latte. If you're a matcha fan, just get it! Cold brew - my bf drank it so I can't provide my input. Also because I'm not a coffee person. But after extensive research, my bf said this was the place to go for the best coffee on Oahu.

Yelp
Stood in line for a moment but just because it was pretty busy at the time we went. Great food got the breakfast burrito, a coffee, and the Portuguese sausage omelette. Very amazing the spicy mayo is the perfect addition to the omelette. I liked the open atmosphere too it's nice to enjoy the sun while eating breakfast here! Will be back again whenever I'm in Manoa. I want to try the pastries too but was just too full off of the breakfast we got.

Yelp
Loved this place. What a great place with great vibes. Honestly everything we got was delicious.

Yelp
I used to LOVE coming here when it was still a cute hidden jem. And their food has always been ono. Recently, I've wanted to come more often but the line wrapping around the building was always discouraging. I also waited in line a week prior to this review, to not move AT ALL within a 10 min period. So I just left and decided to try another day. Today I really wanted to get something other than Starbucks and not further for me as Kakaako would be. I think the wait time attributes to the disorder of the person at the register. It seems like one order would be placed and she would go and do other duties or complete other orders. Not much structure to the ordering process and she seemed easily distracted. I asked about sugar free options for syrups and unfortunately nothing to offer besides Splenda and raw packet sugar. I ordered a black cold brew and an espresso soda. I've ordered espresso sodas/tonics in the past and have NEVER had vanilla syrup put in it. At other small coffee places like Surf Camp or 9 Bar HNL, it's always been unsweetened with a lemon. Or they'll ask me if I would like any syrups added. When I took a sip, I realized it was sweet. I asked the girl near the bar if there was any sweetener in the drink. The first girl said no, but then the girl at that took my order informed me that yes there was Vanilla Syrup added. I asked if they could remake it without the syrup. She then told me she had to ask a manager. When the manager came, she told me she could remake it, however, it would have to be after the other drinks that are being ordered. She was nice in tone, but it felt she was trying to discourage me by adding another wait to my drink order. As if I didn't also wait 20 min for a simple beverage. Literally espresso & soda water..... I opted to just leave and never come back to this place. I'm sad because I really love to support local and their atmosphere, but it's not worth the time honestly.

Yelp
I used to like coming here. Specially the coffee and their sandwiches. Now it's a complete dissatisfaction cause of the changes: They don't serve the usual menus. They change to "Menu of the Day" and there aren't very big selections for meals. Mostly to go bites and pastries to serve. Coffee has gone up about the same prices as Starbucks. Service is the same, mediocre attitude. The Omelette fried rice a joke price $15 for literally rice and eggs with no seasoning, 5 small dices of Portuguese, onion and green onions including no efforts of flavors. The hype is overrated.

Yelp
Long waits on weekend mornings...about the norm for Morning Glass Coffee + Cafe. Worth it as their coffee, pastries, and meals are excellent. Got the Rad Boy Special for takeaway. If I recall correctly, radish, watermelon, easy over egg, feta, and red onion , on a Brioche bun. Bacon can be an add-on, for those carnivores. Excellent.

Yelp
First time to MGC+C ~ got there before opening at 8am and there was ALREADY A LINE! Had the Fried rice omelette and Biscuit sandwich ~ love that the biscuit was a little crispy! And the omelette, we did half/half (kim chee and portuguese sausage; SO ONO!!! Kanako taking the orders was so sweet and pleasant!!! Always SMILING! Tables were a little challenging because of the early hot sun but it we were able to deal with it.

Bill F.

Yelp
This is the place where you're gonna wait 30 minutes in line outside and then 15 minutes for your food, and pay absolute max price for some good quality food, plus tip, then you're gonna buss your own table. If that's your jam, have at it

Yelp
Good morning officially day 1 of Hawaii. Needed some breakfast before a long day and hopped in the car w my buddy to grab some grub. We stopped here at morning glass ( a spot he visits a lot) to grab hopefully a breakfast burrito or sandwich. SADLY, we came before 8 am (when the breakfast kitchen opens). We opted for some pastries instead and I grabbed some blueberry coffee cake and a matcha latte The coffee cake .. gorgeous right? It was fluffy and sugary and not too heavy, a nice way to start the morning. The matcha however, was not my favorite. It was very heavy on milk and I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't more matcha flavor, The staff and the ambience are great though and everyone was so nice and friendly, great set of workers. Honestly can't complain since the coffee cake was soooo good

Yelp
We went twice here in three days and I really think this is one of the best coffee places in Oahu and the best iced vanilla oat latte I've ever had. Love that it's so chill and the vibe is so open and their breakfast burrito is sooo good! Their egg-a-muffin is good. Just note that breakfast is only served from 8 am. We went at 7:30 and had to wait which wasn't bad. They're friendly and the vibe is chill. Only outdoor seating available.

Yelp
I'm not sure why my previous review was removed, but I wanted to share how much I enjoyed this place. The food, coffee, and staff were all excellent, and visiting here truly made my trip better. Thank you for the great experience--I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Hawaii.

Yelp
This place is pretty cute and original, this has become one of my comfort spots when I'm working in the area. With how popular they are I do hope that they continue to grow and offer more to appeal to more clientele. I'm not a coffee drinker so the only thing I literally order from here is their pastries and food. Although limited, at least the ease of ordering online is fast and simple. Although, last I checked, you're not able to skip the line even if you order online. Maybe it's just me not wanting to be rude, but whenever I order online I still go to the back, unless told otherwise, which defeats half the purpose, the other purpose of ordering online is reserving your pastry before it sells out. Also, whenever I do wait and forego the order online option, the wait is crazy....and I didn't even order a drink! The pastry is pre-made and I still wait? This is the reason for the low rating. The amount of time I have to wait for something pre-made really affects whether I choose to eat here or not since I'm on-the-go and timed for work. I really do appreciate and try to differentiate the fact that this is not SbX, it's a small local business in Hawaii trying to make it. Maybe I'm just not the person to fully appreciate it since I'm not a coffee person. But I do have to say, the orinal pastries and burgers taste great and are worth a try. I really do hope in the future they start to offer more or can offer more food everyday; I would definitely eat here more often versus eating somewhere in the shopping center down the street.

Yelp
I'm so glad I found this place. Located in Manoa, it's a great little spot for your morning caffeine and breakfast. There's some parking in the lot or some street parking out front. There was a decent line of maybe 10 ppl ahead of me but it moved fairly quickly and all the staff were great. There is a small corner counter with 4 stools but the rest of the seating is outside under their enclosed patio or the tables in the front parking lot. I snagged a counter spot inside after I placed my order. I didn't mind the long line because it gave me an opportunity to consider all the amazing food and drink options. I landed on a hot matcha latte with macadamia nut milk and Manoa honey. A beautiful cup of sweet and nutty goodness to start my day. I also got the strata (a really savory bread pudding with bacon, roasted shallots, garlic and aged cheddar). I should preface by saying I'm usually not a big fan of bread pudding, but if all bread puddings tasted like this, I would get it every time! It was divinely delicious. I also took a lilikoi honey butter biscuit to go. I usually like to add butter or honey to my biscuits so this biscuit was made for me! And who doesn't like passionfruit?

Yelp
If I lived in Manoa, I'd probably be at Morning Glass all the time! I love this quaint little cafe (next to Bangkok Chef). I've only been here less than a handful of times, but I'm always really impressed with the food. Yes it's just breakfast/brunch food and pastries but I haven't had a bad thing here. I recently tried their mac & cheese pancakes which were 2 hefty size pancakes with mac & cheese inside. You get a bit of savory and sweet together (from the syrup) and it's so so good! Their fried rice omelette was also delish. It has bits of Portuguese sausage inside. I've heard good things about their Vietnamese iced coffee and I finally tried it. Definitely a new fav and will be getting this from now on. They have delicious pastries, scones and cookies as well. Honestly hard to turn down when it's staring at you at the window. Staff has always been nice and welcoming here and I feel like they go the extra mile with their customer service. The only downside is if you go early in morning, prepare to wait! There was a long line when my friend and I came Sat morning which almost made me late for my appointment! Other than that, great comforting brekkie/brunch food! There are some outdoor tables but it can get pretty busy. Ample parking but also gets full when busy lol.

Yelp
Started my morning right with morning glass!! Always pass by it and decided to try today. Barista Dina was amazing and specially made my drink. The weather was crisp so was perfect outdoor seating relaxation. Tried a strawberry scone and had real strawberries inside!! Wanna make this my morning regular

Yelp
I'm not sure why it took me so long to finally try this place out after having it bookmarked for years but this weekend my friend and I finally decided to venture into Manoa for it. We shared an omelette and I got a vanilla latte and she got a matcha latte, I'd have to say it's probably one of my favorite lattes now! The taste was nice and strong unlike many places whose taste a little watered down. The omelette was delicious and had a nice spicy mayo sauce on top that I looooved! There's a good amount of outdoor seating for you to enjoy the ambiance and stare at all the cute dogs that come to the coffee shop. There's a parking lot you can pull into if not Safeway parking lot is just a block down. Will definitely be coming back!!

Yelp
I have been here a could of times and every time it has been busy. My favorite tea item was a mint fog. Not a fan of a London fog so this, while oddly sounding, was quite delicious! The pastries and food options are ok. They sound a lot better than they taste and I'm not sure if it isn't enough flavor or if they have too much going on and it makes the whole item taste weird. I have stood in line before they opened to get a good selection of their food items. Took about 50 min from the time I was in line (about 7 orders in front of me) to get my food and drinks. I see where some other reviews mention it and one person hit the issue directly on the head. It's because orders are taken and then worked on with a good amount of workers running around doing stuff, but it's like only two workers are actually working on your order. If they could square away that process a little better, you wouldn't feel like you waited in line the entire time. Plus I think if they had a large menu of their items posted outside, people would be more prepared to order instead of literally getting to the cashier and finally seeing everything they have to offer. I feel if they were to get better at their system it would lead to more people coming back. But I find the convenience of other coffee places better especially with kids who do not want to sit and wait in lines that take that long.

Yelp
After our massage, we stopped by here for refreshments. I had the flat white with macadamia nut milk and the condensed milk pound cake. It was a nice refreshing treat. We got our order pretty fast and enjoyed the drinks at a table outside of the coffee shot.

Yelp
Coffee, pastries, and burgers? YES any day! Went around 1 pm to ordered a burger and sandwich, there was a line forming behind us. Can't imagine how busy they are in the morning! After 20 mins or so, we got our food. The burger was delicious, enjoyed the mix of pickles, sauce and bun. It was $16-$18 for the burger (no fries). There are tables outside and parking available.

Yelp
Past Manoa Marketplace about a 1/4 mile on the right is small coffee shop called Morning Glass Coffee and Cafe. This could quite likely be the place with the best coffee in town. Really. Be ready to stand in line but it moves quickly. They do have pastries to nibble on and some heartier plates for breakfast. The Bacon Breakfast Burrito was very good (I ate half of my wife's!) I had the adobo fried rice omelet. It was also really tasty. The star of the show was the coffee. They have several choices to choose from but I went local. Something from the Hawaii Island I think. Really good. If this place wasn't deep in Manoa I'd probably go there every day! So if you're in town in the morning and you want to check out somewhere new? Morning Glass in Manoa is the place. Who knows it may be just the cup you're looking for.

Yelp
Breakfast in Manoa, Honolulu, Hawaii... I had been to Morning Glass Coffee + Cafe over seven years ago and didn't write a review... Yikes! Time to do something about it! PARKING: free in the shared lot with Bangkok Chef and Territorial Savings. SERVICE: this is like a cafeteria style restaurant. Order at the counter and either wait at the standing bar near the window, or have a seat at one of the outdoor tables. They will either call your name (if you give it to them) or your number when your order is ready. Bus your table when finished. There's an area for used dishes and trash. BEVERAGE: I saw a sign for the Ginger Latte and I asked if it could be made with oat milk - yes! The cashier asked if I wanted it iced or hot... Hmmm... It was a chilly 72 degrees this morning, so, I ordered "hot". I was pleasantly surprised with a heart latte art! Yay! The housemade Ginger syrup was just-right-sweet! FOOD: I thought that a Breakfast Burrito would have less carbs than a biscuit. Haha! The flour tortilla held everything (red bell pepper, onions, potato, bacon, cheddar cheese and scrambled egg) together well and had a nice toasted crispness outside! I was really happy that the hot sauce was on the side. The Breakfast Burrito was actually a very generous portion that I couldn't finish in one sitting! This was a good foodie experience! I wouldn't mind returning and getting other menu items!

Yelp
Two words: Mac-n-cheese pancake! I am a Mac n cheese lover. These pancakes though not traditional are delicious! I'm so happy I went on a whim and gave them a try! It's like a Mac n cheese bite on a fork! They have a few tables outside and a water jug. Bathrooms are next door with key access. The line can get long. We had about a 5 minute wait to order and about 10 minutes for our food to come out. Delicious!

Yelp
This review is for their lunch which starts at 11. I've been to their breakfast previously and enjoyed it. AMBIANCE - 1* Long wait, possible no table availability when you get your food, and a customer base full of pretentious wannabe hippies. FOOD SELECTION - 1* They had three items on their lunch menu -- all sandwiches -- and somehow managed to be out of stock on one of them. They had a special of a "Potato Sandwich". Sounds great. Let's put a whole lot of carbs in between another whole lot of carbs. SMH WAIT TIME - 1* Literally we waited 20 minutes to get to the front of the line where we discovered that this is classified as a brunch place that stops serving breakfast food on a Sunday nonetheless at 11 freaking o'clock. The people in front of us also waited 20 minutes -- to get a cup of coffee and no food. They must put some crazy crack in their coffee to get people to do that. PRICE - 2* $15 for a smallish sandwich. Not a good value proposition. $5 for an unsweetened ice tea VALUE - 1* For $15 for a smallish sandwich, I'd expect a side of something. Potato chips, Coleslaw, SOMETHING FOOD - 3* The sandwich was OK. Nothing I'll really remember. SUMMING IT ALL UP - I just don't get it. I saw a young couple get takeout from this place. 2 sandwiches, 2 drinks, and proceed to put this in to the small compartment under a moped's seat. They must have spent $40 on this. I must be missing something about this place. Maybe its the coffee? I don't get it. Someone please enlighten me. I might be back, but only for breakfast which I previously left a 5* review for. Their uninspired unoriginal lunch would probably have me running to Aroma Italia at the nearby Marketplace for a Panini instead. Basically I'm pissed I waited in line 20 minutes only to find out I couldn't get the Mac n Cheese pancakes. Yes it's my fault for not researching this better but I'd be happier if the sandwich was better, the menu was bigger, or if the crappy lunch was somehow a better value.

Yelp
On the pricy side but some nice local items and ingredients. They make a syrup from local ginger and it makes a nice iced latte--significant ginger flavor but not overly sweet. The local lime bar was a bit too sweet, not tart at all as I expect a lime bar to be. They've done a nice job with the space they have for seating, putting the bamboo shades up for counter seating and the awning over the patio and umbrellas out front, but you're still sitting in a parking lot by the dumpster, so that's not ideal, but definitely not a dealbreaker. They have a few varied. sandwich options so it's a decent lunch option.

Yelp
Great little cafe to stop by before going on a hike to Moana Falls. The line was out the door... the dude in front of us ordered what seemed like enough to feed an army! There was only 2 of them. But I eavesdropped and heard him say he use to live here and now that he only comes visit, he must get his food fix - he ordered lattes, coffee, bacon breakfast, omelette rice, a chocolate scone, a something muffin and a few other items. DUDE! I was very envious that he would order so much food for 2 people :) We ordered coffee and a liliko scone. That was just perfect for us. Lots of outdoor seating with lovely scenery. One day I'll come back and order a bit more, like the dude ahead of us :)

Yelp
"This is my family. I found it all on my own. It's little and broken but still good. Yeah..." Lilo & Stitch Morning Glass Coffee and I go way back. Back in my Manoa Valley days it was in my rotation for amazing coffee, teas, and bites! It's been years since I moved away, but every time I'm in Manoa I must stop at Morning Glass! How could I not with all my memories.. My last visit to Morning Glass was pre-pandemic so it's been a couple of years. It was a spontaneous stop to meet up with my 6' 1" 230 lbs 16-year old nephew! If you're wondering he plays football on Maui but prefers all-contact rugby. I decided to bring mini me to Morning Glass in Manoa because it's one of my favorite coffee shops west of California. I love that it's independent and the mantra is for quality ingredients! Upon arriving we are met with Manoa sprinkles and a line. Since my last visit (almost 2-years ago) the order counter area has doubled, with much less indoor seating. Smaller outdoor cafe tables scatter the outside. I ate breakfast earlier so decided on Lemon Cake & Hot Matcha w Oat. I told my nephew to get whatever and he didn't disappoint by ordering the Frittata, two berry Scones, and Iced Matcha w Oat. As crowded as it was, the line moved fast, and tables opened up for us to find a small outdoor area... the Manoa sprinkles stopped just in time! And just like that our perfectly crafted Matchas are ready and followed by our bites! As always everything on point and as you can see by my many photos from previous visits I've had a few dishes here! All delicious! In the end, I highly recommend Morning Glass Coffee for breakfast and coffee! Weekends a special Brunch menu is available... hope to bring my bestie up here on a weekend soon! She eats hella less than nephew lol! Get some matching Matchas with her and all that green Mālama Pono Go Bows Magic going! Chee Hoo!

Yelp
Cute place we found and luckily we got there early because a line was forming. I loved how cute my order looked in a pretty bold red cup!

Yelp
You can see from the parking lot that this place is poppin.' Little bit of a line, but it went fast. The barista was patient with me as I figured out what to order, and I loved that they offered both oat and Mac nut milk as dairy alternatives. I got an iced dirty chai and it was perfect. They had a sign that said "back by popular demand: ginger latte" and I'll probably try that next time. Their breakfasts and baked goods looked FIRE, definitely ordering something next time

Yelp
Another new coffee shop that I was able to try out this weekend after my daughter's soccer game. GPS took us straight to the correct place, and we were able to find parking fairly easy. It is a shared lot though with Bangkok and the bank there, so just be prepared for a busy day. When we got there, I noticed people outside and just enjoying their food and drinks. Not much seating, so it's first come first. Really nice if you don't mind chillin in the sun on a hot day. The line wasn't too long when I went in. Lady at the register took my order quick. I shared that it was my first time, and I wanted something chocolatey like a mocha. She said their mochas were popular because it was made with a certain cacao. Ended up ordering an iced mocha latte. Definitely on the PRICEY side, as I paid like $7 for a large. I was pretty surprised by how expensive it was especially since I didn't substitute the milk or even add an extra espresso shot. The wait was a little over 5 minutes. It looked like there were two baristas not doing anything, while another took orders, and another made the drinks. I think it could've gone quick if if they were just all doing something productive. Anyway, when I got my drink, it wasn't even filled to the top. Have like an inch that was just a waste of space. First sip was good. It was chocolatey, just how I liked it. Not much espresso taste, but definitely was a nice sip. I have to be honest, I did enjoy my drink, however, I would not go out of my way to get here because of the $7 price. That's just too much.

Yelp
Morning Glass can certainly make things clearer with a single cup. This hidden gem tucked away up in beautiful Manoa just past the Marketplace is your cup of oasis you've been searching for and I finally able to see clearer what's it all about. Complex simplicity...every inch of this tiny café nook is filled from retail items like coffee, tea, mugs and of course Mānoa Honey. Their menu is just another thing to behold every type of coffee including some specialty drinks like Iced London Smog, Espresso Soda and Sucker Punch...!?! Don't forget they have teas, house made sodas, hot chocolate and homemade syrups like vanilla, cinnamon, brown sugar, chocolate, caramel, Manoa honey and simple syrup and the most impressive milk selection (whole, non-fat, oat, macadamia nut, almond, half & half) just didn't see soy. Did I say complex simplicity yup and I do love to try something that tickle my taste buds and not on the menu is a lime spritzer as they have little notes all around the counter, and not on the menu as well...bites. It seriously was the most refreshing sip as I couldn't stop loving each and every bit, what a perfect drink for any day and to pair I asked if they still had pastries since I came about an hour to closing and my overloaded eyes apparently didn't see them just to my left omg! They still have a great amount left and the matcha loaf certainly was the one and yes yes yes!! This place is tiny and though there are some bars along the walls to place your drink no indoor seating and probably six or seven tables outside with a decent parking they share with other businesses. Sometimes you just need that sip, breathe, relax, let it go and see what happens... Thank you!

Yelp
One of my Yelp friend talked 'bout the hype in here and I was convinced to check this out! Came here after rolling ourselves to check the farmer's market nearby. Perfect to grab some breakfast as my hubby and I got really hungry. There's a line already and it just keeps on drawing more attention so the queue doesn't stop for a quite while. Even the liquid sunshine from the valley doesn't stop people to get in line! When it was our turn we were greeted happily and since menu ain't that extensive I already set myself for some Fried Rice Omelette, Olive Oil Cake Ice London Smog and mac & cheese pancakes. I enjoyed the food we ordered except for the mac & cheese pancakes. It's kinda disgusting to be honest and I cannot imagine why on a pancake IMO it doesn't belong there. So the about mac & cheese pancakes for me is worthless. The fried rice omelette on the other hand is so good and it was seasoned well except that the egg is a bit thin, they need to put more egg though. Iced London Smog is just okay for me. I'm not the best person to define the coffee's taste as for me most of them taste just the same. As per dessert, olive oil cake is also something new to me and so far not bad! Took the rest home and I paired it with my hibiscus tea t'was good! Also, this brunch place got plenty of space and they can't even put some umbrellas on their dining tables & chairs knowing that it's Manoa and patrons deserve to have a shade (so that they can eat at peace) from rain that frequently come & go. I mean....they gotta do something in the near future ayt! Next brunch please... Mahalo for reading and happy juandering fellow yeeps!

Yelp
I will miss this place dearly! The second time going was even better. The people who work here are just wonderful. This is a must try place if you are traveling and a must add to your routine if you are a local Today we had the breakfast burrito and the egg a muffin...phenomenal

Yelp
I was on my way to UH but I was in serious need of coffee. I searched coffee and Morning Glass came up. Great thing about this place is that there's a parking lot! There's tables and chairs outside, and a covered patio area, but it was already crowded. Ordered a large cappuccino and a strawberry scone and a ginger chocolate chip scone, to go. If it wasn't crowded, I would've eaten there, but as soon as my order was done, I left. The coffee was really good and just the right temperature. The scones were delicious! Nice crunchy outside and moist interior. This was as great way to start my morning! Mahalo Morning Glass!

Amazing selection for small coffee shop Unfortunately only outdoor seating which may or may not be umbrella covered

Yelp
Super crowded in the morning, the line wraps around the building. When we arrived it was past the bathrooms. Overall, the pastries selection is pretty good. We got the Apple Mac bread puddling, there were half Mac nuts inside which added a nice crunch. In terms of drinks we got stuff on their seasons / special menu. I got the ginger latte and my hubby got their take on the Vietnamese coffee with coconut condensed milk! Coffees were good and I loved the strong ginger flavor in my latte! They for a good set up and few tables under cover and out in the sun with umbrellas. If you don't want to wait in the line you can order online (until a certain time I believe). Dog friendly outside, saw some cute pups here! Overall a good coffee stop, but we waited over 30 mins to get to the front so be prepared to wait for your coffee!

Yelp
Great coffee and food. the lines tend to be long, but it's a lovely spot. Tempting bakery case to look at while you wait.

Yelp
The lilikoi honey butter scone is out of this world. My espresso drink was very strong, but that's how I like it personally. Staff were great!

Yelp
First time trying a Vietnamese coffee. Very sweet but good! Service can be a little slow. Parking lot small. A couple of tables with beautiful mountain views of surrounding ridges. Would recommend!

Yelp
Came here for a weekend breakfast with wifey after rolling our faces at the Manoa Farmer's Market. There's a line but not that long and a minute after we stood in the queue few group of people are making the line longer and glad we arrive just in time. It was pouring rain in Manoa (as always) and worried about where to munch our order, funny how spacious this brunch eatery is but they were not able to secure a table & a seat with umbrella on it to have their patrons a peace in mind while dining in. We were greeted upon the counter, and since their menu is not that extensive we had immediately ordered our food: * Mac & Cheese Pancakes add Bacon ($2) - it's okay, I am not that impressed. I rather have my plain pancake than having this weird taste from mac and cheese or I can eat mac 'n cheese alone and nit to incorporate them in a pancake. * Ethiopia (kilenso, splash cream, raw sugar) Hot Coffee - my people really know what they're doing! Love the coffee and I can't simply ignore the toasty nut flavor on it. Belly approved! * Fried Rice Omelette - wifey got this and I am lucky enough to have a spoonful of it. Coz why not? They're so good except that the omelette on it is too thin. I'm rallying back there to put more egg on it! LoL. * Olive Oil Cake - mediocre and the texture is too thick for me. I'll probably have to skip this just in case I decided to come back here. I'm not sure if I'll come back here. The price is not right for me. They don't care their patron's dining situation and tbh, I'm disappointed 'bout it. I can pay a cheaper brunch and sit comfortably while enjoying my meal to other place. Environment wise it's peaceful and the valley is so pretty to stare at.

Yelp
I want to love this café because they have really good food. Which is why I come here. The second reason I come here is because there are no local cafés in all of Manoa Valley except for this one. And I don't always want to go to Starbucks. However, there is literally always a line at this place. Always. They are chronically understaffed and have one person cooking all the food for all 1 million people in line . The cashiers and baristas take their sweet time making everybody drinks; at the same time amidst all of this they think they can somehow sustain online orders simultaneously. The fact is this place needs to open a second location, hire more people, and get its act together .

Yelp
If you plan to eat here or relax with your cup of coffee, don't come on a rainy Manoa morning. Seating are bistro type tables with umbrellas and a few tables under a covered area. My daughter loves to come here so went to check it out. There was a line which moved very slowly, so as we waited we pulled up their menu on Yelp. When we finally got to the front of the line to order, everything we decided to get was not available and the employee told us that most of the items on the website is not available....uuuh ok, guess we'll just order what you do have, a burger and a Portuguese Sausage Fried Rice Omelette. The omelette was nothing special, but my husband enjoyed the burger and the chocolate cinnamon roll, it was just alright to me, would have been better if it were warmed up. Also ordered a Thai Iced Coffee which was the item I enjoyed the most out of all the selections we ordered. Not a fan. But other people seem to enjoy it.
