The Sack of Wet Eggs at UK Supermarket Morrisons Going Viral, Explained - Eater London

"The sack of wet eggs found at Morrisons, the popular U.K. supermarket. Morrisons, like many supermarkets, used to offer a salad bar, but as part of COVID-19 food safety measures, it’s no longer in use. This leaves lots of hard-boiled eggs without a good home. It appears to be a hard-boiled egg in some kind of preservative liquid, causing the eggs to float, and, consequently, become wet eggs." - James Hansen

One of the problems with this and most Morrisons, I've found, is that there is only one person manning the self checkout area. So if you're buying anything with an age limit you have to hang around and wait for them to be available. This situation is made worse by that one attendant having to hand out the carrier bags and scan them through. Either leave the bags where the customers can get them or put more staff on. I've just reduced my rating from four to three. My vegetarian daughter is home for the summer and I have just now realised how shockingly bad your selection of vegetarian food is. Honestly in a store that size there should be way more than one fridge selling fresh vegetarian options and the selection of frozen isn't much better. I put my other stuff back and went to Aldi. So far they have the best selection of choice for the none meat eaters among us. Photo of the frozen meat free freezer. Completely empty.

One of the worst Morrisons I've ever been too. Been here several times and it's always the same. The store has an unpleasant smell to it. Can't put my finger on it but it smells grim. The Costa machine (when working) gives out half-cups. Robbery. The hot chicken counter has had ZERO lunch time items the past 3 times I've been. "Sorry fryer not working" they say. Ever considered getting it fixed? I will avoid this store now

Visited Morrison’s Girlington yesterday around noon and was truly impressed with the management. As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted and personally assisted by the manager. He went out of his way to help my wife and me, which was a kind and thoughtful gesture. It’s often the small things that make a big difference, and his outstanding customer service certainly did. Credit where it’s due

I’m really angry and extremely disappointed with the service I received at Morrisons Cafe this morning!!! We thought we were going to have a simple breakfast to start our morning, but it turned out to be more than that—much worse, in fact!!! We ordered the food the moment we arrived, but the person who served us breakfast was rude, bad-tempered, and obviously did not know how to listen!!! She seemed to think she was serving children instead of three adults, which only added to the frustration!!! When we placed the order we simply specifically asked for no egg on my breakfast due to an allergy, and what does she do she puts egg on my breakfast anyway!!! Not only is that incredibly careless, but also dangerous!!! They didn’t even get a simple order right, which just made things worse!!! From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome!!! The staff’s customer service overall was poor and rude, which just made things worse!!! Our food was delayed, and when it did arrive, it was poorly prepared and not what we expected!!! The entire experience left us feeling let down!!! What was supposed to be a simple breakfast turned into a nightmare and one of the most frustrating experiences I’ve had at a cafe!!! This experience ruined our morning, and I’ve never been so disappointed!!! I would suggest that management review their staff training and customer service standards!!! This will definitely be the last time I eat at Morrisons Cafe!!!

I went in at tge victoria branch at 22.10 today (11.07.25) and their staff said we close at 10 pm on Google it said 11pm! I had checked before going) I was very disappointed as i needed lactofree milk which I can't buy from another store I was on foot, no car, very frustrating. I asked the staff at the doors if they could get a few cartons for me, but it was a no. People don't want to help anymore.

Great store but the general manager is literally the rudest person I've ever met in my life! He left me so embarrassed I'll never shop at this store or maybe even Morrisons at all ever again over this!

Called in to this store on Sunday 23rd March and it was the worst experience ever!!!! Fruit on display was bad and furry - roof was leaking- there was packaged meat on the floor which had turned grey in colour- the shelves were generally a mess- spillages on the floor - the self serve tills were chaotic!!!! We virtually ran out of there!!!! In comparison to Skipton branch it was like chalk and cheese!! Also the middle of the store looked like bargain basement. We will NEVER shop there again get a grip Morrisons and give your store a deep clean!!!!!

Good Morrisons store. It's average sized, and stocks the usual range of food, drinks, toiletries etc. that you would expect from a supermarket. I find Morrisons has a different feel to it compared to Asda or Tesco, I think it has a friendlier atmosphere in general. They have a lot of tills, so queues aren't usually too bad. Another great point about this store, is it's in a shopping centre. This means there are other shops conveniently outside the till areas so you can look in other shops too. For example Specsavers and The Range (which is next door).
