The Sack of Wet Eggs at UK Supermarket Morrisons Going Viral, Explained - Eater London

"The sack of wet eggs found at Morrisons, the popular U.K. supermarket. Morrisons, like many supermarkets, used to offer a salad bar, but as part of COVID-19 food safety measures, it’s no longer in use. This leaves lots of hard-boiled eggs without a good home. It appears to be a hard-boiled egg in some kind of preservative liquid, causing the eggs to float, and, consequently, become wet eggs." - James Hansen

My visit to Morrison's was overall quite pleasant. They had all the products I needed, which was a big plus. However, I'm giving it four stars because the self-checkout process left a bit to be desired. Waiting for store assistants to approve transactions took longer than expected, which was a minor inconvenience. Nonetheless, the well-stocked shelves and helpful staff made it a good shopping trip.

It's one of their older stores, and it shows. I've been a lifelong shopper here and have been to some of their other stores. I have some allegiances, but the store needs modernising. The range of products is limited, for example, condiment sauces, soft drinks, etc The other large chains seem to be out doing Morrisons in that regard. And that's a shame.

Has Morrisons changed 🤔 absolutely not. Still have customers dumping stuff they've changed their mind about still got staff walking past & ignoring said items. It's like they can't wait for their shift to be over. Spending all that £ on self service tills & new exits, better spending it on improving staff awareness on how to keep their store clean and tidy

I visited Morrisons on Thursday around 2:30/3pm and I was absolutely appalling in the behaviour that the staff member Sarah had shown towards another staff member. She was very rude to the woman following a small mistake when the cashier has made a small mistake when dealing with my transaction. I have noticed this same woman being persistently on the several times Ive visited Morrisons. I myself work in retail and the mistake made was minor Sarah was very reluctant to come and offer support to her coworker and proceeded to roll her eyes at me this behaviour disgusted me and of this had occured in my workplace it would have made me feel upset and incompetent. I can't imagine to understand how the cashier felt the cashier looked very tired as well and the error made could have occurred to anyone she had merely forgotten to press a button before scanning my gift card. This led me to further believe that if the cashier was also white same as Sarah she would have been treated with more respect, thinking that we are in the 21 century I would've thought that we would have moved past all this inequality and that a supermarket that has branches everywhere would have staff that know how to communicate with kindness and respect to customers and their coworkers. I really would appreciate that Sarah receives some training on how to better communicate as it made me feel upset to see someone of my own culture being treated with such disrespect.

I'm a local but not used this Morrisons in a while, and won't be going back after today's visit. Supermarket was filthy, water and wet floor signs all over, only two actual tills open but an abundance of self service tills that don't work properly. Food selection was poor and quality was also poor. Staff where mostly unhelpful. It's sad how far Morrisons has fallen, was once my main supermarket, not any more.

Morrisons is a safe, secured, and spacious one-stop shop where you can get all your food items, bakes, drinks, confectionery, fruits, household items, pharmacy, restaurant, service centres etc.

Decent place with a lot of stock and helpful staff especially when there are busier periods of time the staff will still be more than happy to help.

Good Morrisons store. It's average sized, and stocks the usual range of food, drinks, toiletries etc. that you would expect from a supermarket. I find Morrisons has a different feel to it compared to Asda or Tesco, I think it has a friendlier atmosphere in general. They have a lot of tills, so queues aren't usually too bad. Another great point about this store, is it's in a shopping centre. This means there are other shops conveniently outside the till areas so you can look in other shops too. For example Specsavers and The Range (which is next door).
