Morrissey's Lounge & Bistro

Hadn't been here before. Interior of restaurant is pretty classy, yet relaxed. I had sushi - which was super fresh and flavorful. My friend had the quiche, which came to the table piping hot. We tried the clothespin bacon. The flavor was awesome, but a little too thick, more like a piece of ham, was a little dissappointing. Waitress was nice, though hovering a bit.

My wife and I went to Morrissey's for Christmas dinner and we were really looking forward to it because previous reviews were good. However after going there I do not understand the hype. Both my wife and I got the three course dinner for $105 a person. I got cappico for my appetizer and it was a really good start to the three course being light and tasty. She got the salad that was offered and it waa terrible. I got the beef wellington and she got the rack of lamb. The beef wellington was over cooked and had no flavor. The rack of lamb was undercooked and almost made me sick. Last was the dessert I got the creme brulee and she got the chocolate cake. The creme brulee was mediocre and the top waa not torched enough on top so it was not hard enough. Unfortunately this place did not meet my expectations and I think rich people have poor taste in food.

We were here today for thanksgiving on the way to Lake Placid! What an amazing sushi! We loved it. Mango and volcano and with shrimp 🧡🧡🧡 I would like to come here again! And its chic! Amazing amazing ✨

We came here for a friends birthday in the summer and we were 19 people sitting on the patio. The service was seamless and everything I tried was excellent! The menu has American food as well as Sushi and there is something for everyone. The sushi looked so good we recently came back for date night and it did not disappoint! So delicious and will be our new spot in Saratoga!

Great Food & Friendly Service, but Serious Billing Mishap Went for dinner around 8 PM and ordered the crispy Brussels sprouts, sticky pork spare ribs, the dragon roll, and a margarita. Everything was delicious, the Brussels were perfectly crispy, the dragon roll was fresh and flavorful, and the margarita was spot on. The ribs were a bit tough but still enjoyable. The person I went with had the dry-aged smashburger and a Pepsi, and we were splitting the bill. Right when we sat down, we told the server we’d like separate checks. The bills were brought in separate checkbooks, and we each placed our card inside. Naturally, I assumed that each card would be charged according to the total in the book it was placed in, but unfortunately, the charges were switched. I was charged for the smaller amount, and my guest was charged mine, a difference of over $60. To make matters worse, when the books were returned, my guest’s credit card was missing. She had to get up and find the server, and discovered her card had been left unattended on the counter near the card station. That’s a serious issue when it comes to card security and guest care. The food and service were otherwise lovely, but the carelessness with billing and card handling left a bad final impression.

Loved my experience here. Drinks were delicious and I had one of the veggie sushi rolls and it was SO GOOD! Great atmosphere and location!

Went there today for a late lunch while shopping on Broadway downtown. My sister and I sat right at the bar. The service right away was attentive and amazing. We decided on a medley of sushi, a couple apps that were amazing brussels sprouts and Korean cauliflower as well as a wedge salad. Everything came out in a timely manner . The atmosphere was excellent. The bartender who waited on us. She was so kind. Definitely plan to go back there again.

Was there on a windy warm October afternoon. Sat outside which was wonderful. Excellent service right from the greeting staff to the waiter. Was mid afternoon and the menu was still only brunch or sushi options. Chose the sushi, had the cucumber roll and a rainbow roll. Both were excellent. A Green State Vermont Lager was quite good. Pricing was fair for all the choices and we had a great time watching the leaves blow by. Great spot to people watch and enjoy the Saratoga downtown buzz.

Morissey's food is delicious. The menu is creative. The drink menu is a bit lacking for me. There was no "wow" drinks on the menu. I enjoy a nice herbal gin drink. Everything was a sweet option. Our waitress was amazing with a wonderful sense of humor. The inside of the restaurant is choppy. We had a nice intimate room with a non-heated gas fireplace. For a tapas place, the table was very small to hold the plates. The tartare tacos were delicious.

Good service and nice atmosphere with the food being good-but-not-great. The sushi was a bit bland and I'm a little salty that the "crab" was the fake crab (made with fish). The chicken club was also good but didn't stand out even though they had their "famous" thick cut bacon. The lobster dumplings were very good and while a little pricey, it was worth it, especially with the spicy sauce spread on it. One nice thing Morrissey's will do is split a sandwich and on both plates give you a full serving of fries.

Great spot for an expresso martini. Busy and bustling, but a fabulous spot in the Adelphi hotel for a cocktail and conversation with friends.

Morriseys is completely DOG friendly patio included,,we enjoy their sushi but have to tolerate the sound of barking dogs, while eating it,, there were several dogs on the patio trying to attack each other,,extremely annoying, We will never return and left before we finished eating worse experience in dining we have had has been on the patio of Morriseys, too bad! Stressful dining ever,,not worth the food,barking dogs with dinner,,ugh

Finally made our way to the Adelphi Hotel were we met a friend here for a drink prior to going to dinner. This is a very comfortable place to sit and relax with a drink in your hands. The folks behind the counter were extremely cordial made us feel welcome at the bar. Non-glamorous drinks, just a few glasses of wine but what I will say is that the wine they gave us was terrific. My wife had a Sauvignon Blanc while I had a Pinot Noir. They were both delicious and served at a great temperature. This is important to us as we find so so many places that keep their wine in refrigerators and you get a glass of wine that tastes like a glass of ice water. Looking forward to a trip back when I can try some of their menu items. I am also looking forward to trying some items on their sushi menu. I saw them pass by and they looked fantastic. My husband and I were in town for a concert and got an early dinner here. Our reservation was for 5, but it was already very busy. Because we were celebrating my husband's birthday, our waiter brought 2 glasses of Prosecco - very nice!! I had oysters and he had calamari to start - very good, nice cucumber-y mignonette for the oysters. We both had sushi, the Adelphi Maki - very tasty! Service was terrific, thanks Cameron! We had plenty of time to get to the concert and started our evening off perfectly!

I can only offer a review of the bar since we didn't eat in the restaurant. However, during our long weekend stay in Saratoga Springs we made it to Morrissey's three times, so I think it's safe to say we really liked the bar! Located just off the lobby of the glamorous Adelphi Hotel, Morrissey's keeps up the classy vibe without feeling stuffy. Drinks were great, and the appetizers we had were delicious. Love the upscale yet comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

We were able to sneak in an outside table on Sunday at 5pm. Perfect weather and not crowded. We had two drinks. We were told the new drink menu will be coming out for the Belmont week. Both drinks were delicious. They even worked with us as some drink ingredients were not available. We had the oysters, meatballs with polenta and the chicken wings and French fries. Yea it's all appetizers but they all sounded really good. The oysters were good. I'm glad they had some Tabasco as the oysters needed a little extra. The meatball and polenta was delicious. Only three meatballs though. The best surprise were the chicken wings. The wings were well done and crispy. The seasoning was perfect on the wings. They had a dipping sauce that we ended up not needed. Lastly the French fries with Parmesan and bacon were delicious but we were too full to finish the fries. BTW, leftover fries and bacon are awesome.

Ate breakfast here on a Friday morning in August. Atmosphere was very nice with a great patio overlooking Broadway. BREAKFAST The Adelphi Breakfast (2 eggs, bacon, sourdough, with avocado & tomato). Very good. Would order again. Corned Beef Has- (with egg once over) - Didn't enjoy this dish. The plate had a strange smell and the meat was over cooked. Everything Bagel with Cream Cheese - toasted well, very fresh. Coffee - very good. The food was just okay and overpriced. It's a good location... and service wasn't bad. Too many better options for breakfast.

Gorgeous !! Morrissey's is inside Adelphi hotel. Beautiful entrance, it's a timeless era decor. Morrissey's is very classy place. It brings Chic, iconic, timeless, and intimate all together. The toured the stunning library and the terrace. It's absolutely gorgeous. Light fixtures were lovely. We sat at the bar and we were greeted immediately. Places out orders and had great conversations with the surrounding people. Our meals were delightful. Our cocktails were we amazing! Their mixologist are very talented. If your reading this and are in the neighborhood, I strongly suggest to treat yourself to a Saratoga Springs fine dining experience.

Updated review- Our server Frank was very attentive and checked up on us throughout our meal tonite. The sushi dishes ordered were fresh and plated beautifully. Additionally the appetizers such as the Korean spicy wings as well as the pork belly were delicious! The steak frites and the burrata salad with shrimp was cooked to perfection and delightful. It was a five star dinner! My only regret was that I did not save room for dessert. I highly recommend and will be back soon!!!

This restaurant and meal were delightful. The ambience is excellent. I had the Beet salad and added grilled shrimp. It was all delicious. My BF had the burger with bacon. He said it was amazing. We shared his fries and they were crispy and not greasy at all. My BF had the Ole smoke drink and a Stings Like a Bee. Both were excellent but we are going back today for another Stings Like a Bee today before lunch. It was definitely the winner. The server was so nice and attentive. We were not rushed at all. Just an A+ experience.

I was in Saratoga for an appointment and I wanted a "treat yo self" type of lunch. It's was around 2pm, so unfortunately options were limited as most the hot spots open at 5. It wasn't that unfortunate though, because treat myself, I certainly did. I need to mention that this place is certainly for elite clientele, and is very pricy. It's not for a casual lunch, you're looking at $60-100 per person if you order like me. I did feel somewhat "out of place", but hey, it's nice to live the high life once in a while. I wanted to start with a cocktail and I took a whiskey cocktail recommendation from the server. It was very good, but significantly under filled. It was a drink I probably could have finished in a couple sips. I understand cocktails are usually small servings but this was smaller than average. I switched to a gin and tonic for my meal, which was standard and a much better fit for me personally. I love oysters, so I had to order some. They told me $3/per so I ordered 4, however they gave me 6, so I assume they were less because they were on the small side. It was the same price so $2/per. The were excellently shucked, great flavor, beautiful juicy deseeded lemons, and a great mignonette. It was a perfect treat. I knew the sushi here was popular, and I had heard they have an excellent sushi chef. The rolls were expensive, so I decided to try the Adelphi Sushi Tower Salad, excellent choice. It had everything I could want, it was full of fresh fish, great sauces, a hint of heat, tons of textures. It was also a perfect treat. Service was good for me. I honestly like to enjoy a lengthy dining experience, it is part of what you are paying for. I wouldn't come in a rush though. I did find that some regulars may have been getting preferred treatment, but that's par for the course for a place like this. I really did enjoy my experience. It was far pricier than I would normally go for, and I wouldn't offer this place up as a place to go with a ton of friends unless they knew the pricing. I would return, and I would recommend it for a splurge.

One of the few bars in Sydney that stays open past midnight, so if you are searching for a bar at past 10PM then this is the place to be. I do, however, recommend dropping by during happy hour! It's an excellent way to sample several of their mini cocktails without breaking the bank!

I was trained in bartender school. You learn the different types of glasses for the different drinks such as martini, scotch glasses, champagne glasses, high ball glasses, etc. When you ask for a martini you expect to get a martini glass to start with. When your paying $17 for a martini you don't expect to get a cheap champagne glass half way full. Today some of these high end bar's not only give you the wrong glass, but charge you $17 for a half glass of a champagne glass that should be a full martini glass. Why do customers put up with this ? Don't ! There's so many other places to go. It's bad business & it's insulting to those of us who have had bar-tendering training & know how to keep customers. It's BS plain & simple

Had a reservation, hostess was very welcoming and nice . Got to table server promptly got us waters and took our cocktail order , 2 beers a margarita and a glass of wine , it took 20 to 25 minutes to get them outr food came out the same time our drinks arrived . They advertise Carnegie deli pastrami, I was looking forward to a good pastrami sandwich, it was dry and tough . One of the diners with me ordered filet salad meat cooked perfectly, 5 min later the waitress came with an egg in a ramekin and said oh this was supposed to go on your salad . Sushi was good another salad had wilted leafs .server very inattentive.

Great service menu needs more exiting choice but overall a good experience. Waiter and staff very friendly and attentive

We were here last year and loved it. This year was marginal. Our drinks took forever. We ordered the buratta as an app and it never came. We canceled it and then it came. They didn't charge us which was nice. The wraps were okay. My dad loved his bloody mary.

A very hip, lively and classy place. The sushi is best in the city. The service is great. A lot of craft cocktails offered. A worthwhile place to visit in the spa city.

Recently went here for a nice lunch in Saratoga. What caught our eye was the menu outside that said lunch served 11-3 and had things like steak sliders and crispy pork bell (yum!). Unfortunately, when we get inside, we were given another lunch menu and it had only HALF of what was shown on the menu outside the restaurant. When we asked the server we were told this is all the options they have for today. PLEASE UPDATE YOUR MENU OUTSIDE. The food: We ended up getting a cheese burger (which was actually pretty good and had a wonderful sauce on it.) And the Crab Cake Burger which was awesome! Both came with straight fires (like the ones from McDonalds) and had a lot left to be desired. The drinks: We got the 'South of Saturn' which was strong and delicious. Also we got a Tito's dirty martini which was made perfect besides for the fact that they charger extra for blue cheese stuffed olives...most dirty martini's come standard with blue cheese stuffed olives for no additional cost. All in all, I recommend looking at the menu inside BEFORE you decide to eat here to make sure you actually find something that you'll like.

I had such great expectations that our dinner at Morrissey's in the Adelphi Hotel would be a delightful experience. Sadly, it was not. When it takes 20 minutes for a server to make an initial appearance at your table to take your drink order, things don't look good. Especially when the dining room (where the former Blue Hen was located) was not very busy. And it went downhill from there as it was another 15 minutes before my Dirty Martini arrived. Our appetizers were good: Steak Tartare presented with a quail egg and French breakfast radishes. While tasty, I must admit that the presentation could have been a little more thoughtful. For my entrée, I ordered Mussels in White Wine and Garlic. They arrived cold. Not lukewarm but cold. The waiter offered to take them back and so I let him. When they were returned to me, they were 'warm' and edible. My husband's Cuban panini was devoid of the ham that is an integral part of this sandwich. My husband and I shared the Fondue for dessert. Yet another disappointment. The 'fondue' was not hot as it should be and tasted like someone poured Hershey syrup into the pot. It was very runny which meant that the chocolate did not stick to the bananas and other accompaniments, it just ran off. Fondu, whether cheese or chocolate, should have some substance to it. I should know; I make it often. As mentioned previously, service was poor. We waited a very long time for each of our selections and to get the check. There was no excuse for this as the dining room was not full and our waiter was not the only server there. Our generous tip was not reflective of the caliber of attention we received but rather an expression of support for local restaurants in town. Saratoga Springs has many very good and excellent dining options to be experienced. Unfortunately, Morrissey's is not one of them.

The service is great; we have a trainee who is quite nice. My problem is with the kitchen, which first sent out blackened popovers that tasted burnt (because they were). When I complained, I was told that was the way they were supposed to be. Nope. Then my steak frites, ordered medium rare, came out blood red to the edges. Inconsistent at best. Would not recommend.

Stopped in Friday night for cocktails. Service was very slow. I went up to the bar to pay my check. The bartenders were grouped together at the other end of the bar and I had to wave my arms to get their attention. The bartender walked up and waved his arms, imitating my action and made a rude comment. I regret not talking to a manager when I left.

This place was great! Sometimes I don't have high hopes with hotel restaurants but all the food was delicious. Food timing was a little slow but not the end of the world. We ordered the Hipster Fries, Clothesline Bacon, and the Donut holes to start. No regrets! All of these choices were soooo good. Was the bacon worth $22 for 3 pieces? Maybe a little over priced but that's ok, it was delicious. For my meal I took a strange turn and got the lobster roll. It was pretty good not the best I've ever had but not terribly priced. The fries though, so good and perfectly salted. My one thing is they could up their brunch drink menu options, they were out of a lot when we got there.

We waited 30 minutes for our drink order to come while the waitress was badgering us for our meal order...Gave up and walked out, there are many better options close by.

The food from the Sushi Menu was far better than the other menu items. BBQ Burger was awful, onion rings also not good. I'm sure there are far better options

Came here with family for business. Decided to stop here specifically because of a pleasant experience during the chowder festival, but ended up quite disappointed. For appetizer we ordered the soup of the day and Cobb salad; while our main courses were the Steak Fries and Mussels. While I didn't mind the strangely long wait (there weren't many customers at the hour), for some odd reason they decided to bring out everything at the same time, resulting in inconsistent levels of temperature. To the point the soup was incredibly salty, and the Steak Frites essentially consisted of 3 thumb sized portions of steak, that were surrounded by fries. The latter being a dish that costs $32. On multiple occasions they also forgot to provide the appropriate silverware for our orders. The saving grace was that the mussels and salad were quite good. I also thought the Rhubarb Upside down cake that we had for dessert was decent. While not the fault of the restaurant, the Rosé we ordered (whispering angel) tasted like flavored water. All in all, I'd rather have not stopped by.

Didn't have the food so can't speak on it... but for two days in a row I sat here for a few hours and drank their old fashioneds. They are very good. You just cannot beat the people watching from the outside patio! A big shout out to Abby for being totally wonderful. She is super hard working and her lovely personality is really welcoming. Abby's fun conversation and amazing service was the reason I came back the second day. Great spot! Will totally be back next time I'm in town.

Stopped in on a random Monday. I was on vacation and this was one of the places open. Honestly, my boyfriend and I saw the burger being served and had to come in. The building is absolutely gorgeous. Apparently they just finished renovations.The restaurant is just to the right of the hotel, it is a beautiful place. Both indoor and outdoor seating options. We sat outside. Service was a bit slow but they explained that there were only 2 people on staff. Crazy! They did a great job regardless. Once seated, we were immediately greeted by a server who gave us waters and menus. A few minutes later, another server came by to take our order. Of course, my boyfriend and I both ordered the burger and fries. How could you not? It was so good. The staff was so apologetic the whole time. But they were doing a fantastic job. The burger was amazing. We also each had mimosas . Which were very good. After lunch, we did a little tour of the hotel and the building. It's immaculate. This place rocks! Come here.

The food and drinks were delicious but the atmosphere felt a little uptight. The oysters were well cleaned and shucked, we did have to request cocktail sauce as it only came with a vinaigrette. We also really enjoyed the crab stuffed artichoke hearts and sushi.

Had brunch last week, sat outside with my dog. Staff was friendly and brought water. There was a lot of people and was super cute inside. Restaurant was at the Adelphi hotel. Location was right in Saratoga springs town. The lobster dumplings was amazing! Wish I just had that it was so good! Friend had shashuka which he loved, and a breakfast pizza, my husband had an omelette and I had eggs Benedict which was good. I always get eggs Benedict for brunch and I ordered it with crab meat but forgot I did until I was almost done since I was so hungry, they gave me regular which was good but wish I had what I ordered.

I personally was not a fan of this place. I did not like my drink or the food that I ordered. It was also very overpriced. We had a friend leave for a family emergency after ordering and the waitress never returned prior to bringing the food out so we did not get to cancel her order before it came - the waitress was unwilling to remove her order from the bill and was not helpful at all. I certainly will not be returning.

A am an attorney in Ulster County who had a business meeting in Saratoga this Saturday at noon, I put in a reservation for three with Morrissey's which was confirmed, I drove two hours to Saratoga and arrived at Morrissey's at noon on the button and my party was waiting for me there. The Matre'D, a twenty something year old woman greeted me and told me there was no table for my party. I said but I have a reservation. She said I know but we can't seat you, and offered me the bar which was in appropriate for our meeting. There was an empty table in the restaurant. She said we couldn't have it as they had a reservation for it of 6. So we left, and I will never go back there again. They were rude, and inappropriate and really awful. WHat is the point of making a reservation there if they won't honor it?

We are regulars at Morrissey's and are never disappointed .We celebrated Thanksgiving there this year. Food was delicious and a special shout out to Christy who was our server, she was attentive without being intrusive and made us feel very welcome .

Stopped into this restaurant while visiting Saratoga , we just planned on having a drink at the bar ,but then decided to have sushi as well . Our drinks were really beautiful and delicious, however the shifts were changing while we were there and no one brought our food out. We had to get someone to get us our food , other than that we had a good experience.

This review is simply for cocktails and ambiance. I haven't had the opportunity to try the food at Morrissey's yet...but have it on my list. I met friends at the bar for a drink before we went to dinner at a new-ish Italian place nearby. It was early, so the bar only had a few patrons and it was still light outside. Whether night or day, the space is lovely. Dark woods with seating at and around the bar. It's a smaller space but they've done a really nice job with the renovations. I ordered the "Doctored Pepper" and loved it. I had tasted this beverage at a Yelp event previously and had to go back to get a full cocktail. If you like Dr. Pepper, it's an adult version of such that will kick your butt (if you're a lightweight like me). It's aesthetically pleasing and was just what the doctor ordered (see what I did there?). Our bartender was a nice, young gentleman that put together a delicious beverage. Looking forward to going back sometime soon to try some of the small plates and/or sushi (as I spied a new sushi bar off to the left of the regular bar area).

Amazing place for brunch! The back dining room is absolutely gorgeous and full of light. We got a variety of food to share and everything was delish. I typically don't order white pizza, but this one was super flavorful mix of Brussels sprouts and prosciutto. The lobster dumplings are also a must with a tasty zing from the ginger! Brunch cocktails looked amazing but we didn't get any. Next time we will!

Cool evening. Outdoor seating. Heated awning. A shared Margarita pizza, Syrah wine, endive salad, and cherry pie with ice cream. Great service. Wonderful.

Best meal in Saratoga! Prefer the front bar area to the more formal room in the back. Very cozy atmosphere, great service and excellent food. Recommend the maple glazed bacon appetizer and halibut main course

Loved Morrissey's! Our waiter Benny was AWESOME and would ask for him again if we were able to go back. We were visiting from NYC for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary and they made sure it was a great experience. We ordered: Steak tartare - pretty standard, but very good, liked the quail egg "Angry" Broccoli - Honestly wish we had like 3 orders of this. It wasn't spicy or hot despite the "angry" in the name, it was just truly the greatest broccoli I've ever had. Sushi - we got two special rolls, the volcano roll and the adelphi roll. They were a bit spicy but very good! The crab was awesome too on top. Drinks: Reborn old fashion - the ice cubes have the bitters infused so as it melts, goes into your drink Susie Smith - it was fine, a bit bland but the egg white may have muted the other flavors Upper Daiq - this was my first drink and after trying the Susie Smith, went back to this. Very good, very citrusy and a pretty light yellow color. There wasn't much bad, but our one qualm was the menu was almost too big - they have their normal menu + the sushi menu + the steak restaurant for the restaurant next door that was under construction. It took us forever to decide especially since they were all so different and kind of clashed. Otherwise would definitely go back if we're in town !

Service was amazing as well as the food. 10/10 recommended. Loved all the decor, it definitely added a great touch to my experience.

This was a nice spot to stop in to for dinner one night, located in The Adelphi Hotel and has a space in the front and in the inner sanctum of the hotel. From what I've heard, everybody here loves the sushi, absolutely outrageous and the best sushi in town they say. We didn't know this going in to the restaurant, and we wanted to do more of a drinks heavy over food meal. We got the Stromboli to split between us, which was pretty average all together. But the experience was very nice. The waiter was personable, friendly, engaging, and we chatted with him for awhile. This place has some characters that come in here as well, so we enjoyed people watching having cocktails and enjoying the evening. Next time we come, I suggest getting the Sushi to really experience what the whole town is talking about!

First time here, came from out of state. When making the reservation I asked for window seating if possible. They sat us in the back room w no windows and right up against a pillar in the room, like my boyfriend lifted his arm to the side and hit it it was so close. I ordered sushi which was pricey but very good. My boyfriend ordered the lamb shank w gnocchi. It was so salty that he was legit swollen later in the evening. The restaurant is very nice and staff but I wouldn't go back for the price vs what you get

easter brunch this year. lobster bisque was thin. putrid orangey squash soup flavored with lobster water (no meat) & 3 floating tortellini with cream cheese inside. NOT GOOD. & OVERPRICED. Never going there again.

Don't attempt to enter Morrissey's through the doors that lead directly from the sidewalk to the restaurant. Those doors are not only locked to prevent the cold air from inconveniencing the customers inside, but they also are likely to be used during the warmer months to connect a sidewalk patio area to the indoors. Enter through the main doors to the Adelphi Hotel. It's a beautifully restored lobby that is worth seeing anyway. For a Thursday night at the end of March it was not very busy. Only about a dozen people scattered between three tables and the bar. Even with that few number of customers present, the din of conversation was quite high. The piped in jazzy blues were an enjoyable distraction however. Most of the small round tables appear to be for couples, but being adjacent to a plush banquette they can easily be shifted sideways with chairs added. If your party is larger than four, I'd seriously suggest eating elsewhere - maybe in the hotel's Blue Hen restaurant? But you may not be able to order from the same small plates menu there, and the vibes are TOTALLY different. The drink menu has several pages of cocktails, beer and wine. There are eight signature cocktails and my wife decided to try #8, Clear as Day ($13), a blend of vodka, velvet falernum, grapefruit, verjus, and orgeat. Now you may need to Google some of those ingredients like I did, but I'll tell you that the cocktail is sweet and reminded us of a cherry lozenge. I chose a draft, Southern Tier, Old Man Winter Ale ($7). An excellent beer I might add, to go with the four small plates we decided to try. There were actually more than four that we were interested in, but we knew we would be pushing our limit with four. Our server, McKenzie, was right on top of our needs throughout. She even recognized that it would be best to stage our food based upon the limited table space. We started with one of the Flatbreads ($12) and the Brussel Sprouts ($12). The Flatbread Special of the evening actually won out over the other three available choices since McKenzie suggested that we being locals, we could always come back anytime for one of the regular menu items. This evening's Special was topped with kabocha squash, bacon, asiago cheese, and thyme. The combination of those flavors, along with a tasty dough, were wonderful. Just to alert you, I would prefer to call this a small pizza and not a flatbread. The dough was not flat at the edges like I expected, it looked exactly like a typical pizza. And while lacking leopard-spotting on the cornicione, there was still enough char on the undercarriage to provide support for the toppings. The Brussel Sprouts came with a horseradish mustard. The sprouts were thoroughly baked or fried to the point of the leaves easily separating from the small buds. This seemed to make them extra tender. They had a delicious flavor even without dipping in the horseradish mustard, which was not spicy at all. As we were finishing these two dishes, Our server asked if we were ready for the kitchen to fire up the next two. My wife ordered a glass of Chateau Peyrassol Rose ($14) to go with the Hipster Fries ($10) and the Avocado Salmon Toast ($16). The Hipster Fries were a must-order for us because we can't pass up Shishito peppers (even if they are misspelled) which were also combined with Parmesan, bacon, and chili peppers as toppings on the fries. We never would have thought of combining Shishitos with fries. What a fantastic idea. If only there was a better way for the fries toppings to cling to the fries. The Avocado Toast was even a beautiful dish to look at. With obviously house made potato chips on the side, whatever the base bread was for the toast, it was topped with avocado, pastrami-salmon, a mustard-cucumber seed relish, and thin, lace-like slices of toast. A bit awkward to eat, but deliciously worth the effort. The bar is attractive and takes up one entire wall. Between the bar and the banquette with tables that runs along the opposite wall, is a separate partial wall running the length of the room that also serves as a bar-top for standing patrons to rest their glasses and, I believe, even charge their electronic devices. This will definitely be a hot spot this Summer.

I understand times are tough and it is hard to get good help but after dropping $700 for dinner for 5 of us I can say I was extremely dissapointted. Let's start off woth warm shrimp cocktail and awfull tasting lobster bisque. Then the steak special not the worst I've ever eaten but....at $65 a steak I expected something nice. Never again sorry will go elsewhere.

Visiting my hometown for the summer is always a treat, especially when I come across an excellent dining experience at these "new" restaurants that have popped up. My mother and I had a great experience at Morrisey's starting with our waiter, Michael. Some of the best service I have experienced in Saratoga. The oysters were outstanding though over priced, and the pasta dishes were delicious. Mom had the pappardelle with bolognese and chef captured wonderfully the aromatic flavor that sauce should exhibit. I had the super yummy beef cheek ravioli. Not a great red wine by the glass selection but the Gavi was perfect with my food. We had a lovely evening - thanks, Michael!

Hostess seemed put off that a party of four walked in. Asked if we had reservations, said no- her response "well it's complicated" okay honey either you can sear us or not. Then after extended-wait the waitress came over with a tude.
