The 14 Best Wine Bars In Barcelona

"Experience la hora del vermut at Morro Fi, a tiny, perennially packed bar with space for about 15 people on the inside and just as many on the outdoor terrace. Get the housemade vermut or a couple of cañas (or small glasses of beer), and order all the snacks to go with them. Don’t miss the house classic: potato chips topped with pickled mussels, boquerones, olives, and spicy piparra chili peppers. Morro Fi has three other locations in Barcelona, all with lively crowds and an indie-industrial vibe. " - isabelle kliger

Our absolute favorite vermut bar in Barcelona! We've been coming here for over three years and always bring our family and friends along, who end up loving it just as much as we do. The vermut, the vibe, and the snacks are incredible. We even stock up for home because the vermut and olives are simply amazing. A must-visit spot!

Cool place for an Aperitivo, go for Vermouth and delicious thick cut crisps. Off the main tourist area and set on the corner of a lovely, sunlit square. Simple nibbles done nicely.

A small vermouth bar located on a pedestrian square in the Eixample district. I ordered a vermut (€2,80), half portion of everything (€5,50), and an octopus skewer (€3,50). The classic vermut was wonderfully smooth. Food was fresh and delicious, and prices were very accessible considering the prime location. Portions were small and multiple orders may be required to eat a full diet, but ordering may be difficult for foreigners, as there is no English menu. The bartender was patient despite the language barrier. Seating was very limited, but you can sit in the pedestrian square if the bar is full. In all, it was an enjoyable meal and a great vermouth bar in Barcelona.

First meal of our trip was at Morro Fi. They make their own vermut. The main worker spoke English and let us know what food was available to order. Music was fun and funky. They sell homemade vermut, cava brut nature, chips, olives, piparres and salsa vermella. Should have bought their olives (2,70 € for 150g) to go! - Vermut (2,60 €) - smooth with the slightest medicinal note. Came with a delicious olive. - Vermut reserva (3,80 €) - more depth. - Carxofa (2,40 €) - artichokes with sundries tomatoes and black olives. Decent. - Pintxo seito (2,00 € each) - anchovies with olives. Fantastic. - 1/2 Calamar/ventresca (3,90 €) - squid with olives and piparres. Firm, pleasant texture. - Patates gruixudes (2,90 €) - the salsa soggied the chips. Would ask for it without. - Cured tuna (7,80 €) - interesting texture. Portion was more than enough. Our favourite meal in Barcelona.

Google
so cozy and friendly! bartender only one here working the establishment. outside, inside, questions, smiles, chit chats, explaining to a vermut newby like me the difference between regular vermut blanco and Reserva... Definitely try all three! We loved the Reserva, which was explained that it was aged in barrel for three months. Definitely the complexity is evident in the back to back tastings. We came here upon recommendation of the owner of Seynor Vermut and we are glad we came! Five items only 15 euros!

Small but nice place. Cozy. Food was ok. Perhaps a little bit expensive but just tapas.

Google
Very cool and local place 😍 the vermut is unbelievably good! As a local I have tasted many around the city and this one is the absolute best! Their recipe is 🤤 And please don’t hesitate to ask for any if their tapas! The chips are incredible, but all the canned stuff and other tapas like the filled little capsicums are so yum!

Yelp
First meal of our trip was at Morro Fi. They make their own vermut. We dropped in on a Sunday afternoon (3:30pm). The place has 9-10 seats inside along with two tables on the sidewalk. Really liked it. Came with a delicious olive. - Vermut reserva (3,80 €) - more depth and flavour compared to the regular vermut. Try both to see the difference. - Carxofa (2,40 €) - artichokes with sundries tomatoes and black olives. Decent. - 2x Pintxo seito (2,00 € each) - anchovies with olives. Fantastic. - 1/2 Calamar/ventresca (3,90 €) - squid with olives and piparres. Was surprised this was only a half portion. Squid had a firm, pleasant texture. - Patates gruixudes (2,90 €) - homemade chips. They added some of their salsa vermella, which soggied up the chips. Would ask for it without. - Cured tuna (7,80 €) - came with almonds. Never have tried tuna this way. Interesting texture. This portion was more than enough. Our favourite meal in Barcelona.

Yelp
Open till 11pm. Takes credit card. Cool spot with bar and outdoor seating They make their own vermuth. You can buy their bottles to take home. Vermuth (normal) 2.5: good flavor, minimal bitterness Vermuth reserva- 3.6: extremely good flavor, bountiful and variety of flavor. Got their bag of potato chips (home made), and get their hot sauce on the side.

Yelp
Come here if you want to mingle with the local vibe. Very good house vermouth and I brought two bottle back with me to New York! Their bites are great too!

Yelp
Hole in the wall place, packed full of locals. That's how you know it's good! Delicious local vermouth drink and gildas (olive and anchovy skewers). Super affordable too.

Yelp
We walked one hour to get here. Had vermouth and tapas all evening. Small place so get here early enough or wait to sit. Worth it to us. Very polite service, quiet atmosphere. We had a very good time and enjoyed our drinks and food. They even sell to-go packages with chips and different vermouth to choose from. We purchased two. We recommend!

Yelp
A great place to stop by before dinner for a few beers and tapas! Has a casual, hole in the wall vibe. We walked in and pointed to what we wanted. We pretty much ordered everything as there wasn't much to choose from, but boy were the yummy! We got artichokes, sweet peppers stuffed with feta, squid, olives, and cheese with breadsticks along with a few beers. The bartender/waiter was super friendly and gave us recommendations on other places around the area to go to. The crowd seemed to be young people who stopped by after work. This is a great, no frills place to stop for a snack while you're on your way to the next destination.

Yelp
First stop from the Tapas Tour, we were taken to Morro Fi for a taste of vermut. Didn't know what to expect but quickly found myself liking the drink. It's tame enough for most casual drinker. Morro Fi is a traditional bar and very small with only about 5-6 stools. It's really not meant for folks to sit down and eat. We were there on a Wednesday evening around 6:30pm. and there were no customers yet. We had the place to ourselves but when it started getting busy, we ended up taking the front counter and all stood just like the locals. The guide ordered a few tapas for us to try and go with the vermut. We had the cured/smoked tuna with nuts, stuffed peppadew peppers, olives and anchovies, and patates gruixudes amb musclos (thick potato chips with pickled guindilla peppers and canned mussels). Everything was delicious. What an excellent prelude to what's coming for the rest of the evening.

Yelp
Sweetness. I want to make out with this bar. It is tiny. Tiny. They have other locations that are more spacious, but this one is tiny. Squeeze in. Order a drink. Try their vermut. Try their thick potato chips with hot sauce. Vermut and chips!

Yelp
After you go through the mother bosom of Barcelona in terms of Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter. Go to the Eixample (the extension) area for some genuine and amazing tapas; this is where locals go. Came across this place Morro Fi known for their Vermut (trend in Barcelona), but their unique tapas are off the charts...

Yelp
They serve DELICIOUS vermut here -- it's a must try. Small hole in the wall place but good drinks ... so good we had to take some back home. Their vermut is not too sweet, herb-y, and smooth.

Yelp
Very nice, very small vermut (vermouth) tapas bar. Home made chips and vermut. Friendly staff (only one)! Two tables in front careful, they're shaded but still in the afternoon sun. The interiors only has stools at the counter but plenty for an afternoon break from being a tourist. Out red bearded host Xavi, explained that his vermut & chips were homemade. They do close at 4 pm or thereabouts. Highly recommend

Yelp
Super small and very casual. You come here to get Vermouth and small snacks before your meal. Staff were super friendly and provided a great experience.

Yelp
After trying Sweet Vermut at Cala del Vermut for the first time I really wanted to buy some bottles of Sweet Vermut to bring home. I emailed my great host, Joe, from the Barcelona Taste and he recommended I check out Morro Fi if I wanted to buy some bottles to bring home with me. Morro Fi is very small and sits probably no more than 8 people. We went here for both a pre-dinner and post-dinner drink. They sell Vermut in plastic jugs, which you can easily take home in your luggage. They sell bottles in glass as well. I originally came here with the purpose of buying Sweet Vermut, but to my surprise I discovered their homemade potato chips. These chips are amazing and are huge! We bought three bags of these to take home.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Not tourists. Tiny. But everything was outstanding. Yelp wants more words. But really you have to experience to comprehend. Delicious.

Yelp
The person in charge was probably the most charming person we have encountered in Barcelona. This is a tiny venue, but the food and advice was amazing. The chips and hot sauce were amazing. Best chips we've ever had. We bought a bag to take back to our apartment. The tuna and the almonds were amazing. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
lurrrrve this place. It is just down the road from where I am staying, offers drinks at a reasonable price as well as some intriguing cocktails, but it's not touristy AT ALL. My brother said the authetic little places often have the shitty napkins this place had. Well, they were about the only shitty thing about this place. Also note: they have some tapas but most of them are seafood.

Yelp
Cute little street cafe with our favorite vermouth in Barcelona. Keep in mind that they are cash only, they have very little seating, and their hours are weird (as all of Barcelona). Other than that, awesome place.

Yelp
Dang! This place is the place to be on Sunday morning to vermut! It's tiny, cramped, and AWESOME. Just order the vermouth and work your way (slowly) thorough the tapas. It's not just vermouth, it's a way of life.
google avatar

Yelp
Very limited seating. Basically two outdoor tables. Food may have been great but we wouldn't know as we waited 20minutes for a table to open up....then left. Some would say this is not a fair appraisal as they were busy....but come on, there is basically TWO tables.

Yelp
Ok Ok, I am guilty, I love vermouth, and I think this passion is going wild. Yesterday after the tasting I looked for a really good place to make our sunday's vermouth, and I find this place after one of my yelp friends checked in. So that was my mission today, to get to this tiny cozy place before the vermouth rush hour. Mission impossible, we got there late and there was a line, but these guys took care of the line pretty quickly. w got 2 house vermouth and some chips. All together 6,60 Euros, that's a pretty competitive price. The chips were wonderful, really thick and seasoned with a vinegar and red pepper sauce. The vermouth, the king of the party was really good, not too sweet and with the right amount of bitterness that I want at the end of the taste. Going to one of this really trendy and crowded places one starts to think if the should get a bigger place, or if part of their hipe is coming because of that. I think they should keep the small place, because is the best way to keep the essence of the whole experience. I will try to be there before 1,30 pm, let's say noon and see how crowded it is.
