ICONIC DOWNTOWN STEAK RESTAURANT🥩 This Morton’s location delivers on serious steak. The above dining area near the bar is more open with windows and feels more laid back. If you go downstairs, it’s more fine dining with white table linens. Either way, the food is top notch. We started off with baked bread and a cobb salad 🥗 which is shareable between two people. The waiter recommended the sliced potatoes au gratin with melted gouda; it’s very rich. We ordered a side of mushrooms 🍄‍🟫 which goes extremely well and compliments the steak perfectly. Order mushrooms on the side and eat each one with a bite of steak. Pairs perfectly. We ordered the filet mignon, bone-in rib eye, and the NY strip. All medium rare. All incredible!!! The portions were filling! Amazing dinner 💯 Highly Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great, chill, quiet restaurant to enjoy a good meal. Absolutely pleasant service, with attentiveness to refill my water or iced tea. Lobster bisque was excellent and poured hot right in front of me. The loaded baked potato was great too but I would have probably done less sour cream and stuff on top. And the filet mignon sliders were okay, kinda dry. I think I should have ordered a normal dish instead of the sliders, will do that next time. Would definitely come back though as they seemed to have other good stuff on their menu.

We visited from work for a weekday lunch during restaurant week. A thoroughly well run establishment - everything went smooth. Tables were ready for our reservation by the time we reached. Attentive service. Food took about 30 minutes to get to our table, but we were also a large group. I went with the meatball appetizer - delicious, particularly with the table bread to soak in the gravy. The 6oz filet minion was just the right portion size for me, and cooked to an absolute perfection. Tender, flavorful, pure. I went with the onion rings. The black truffle oil mayo was a tad too salty for my palate but super flavorful. We skipped dessert. One star taken because of a couple of fruit flies finding their way to our table in the basement dining area, a minor annoyance at worst. An old fashioned restaurant serving old fashioned food in a way that gets your tastebuds to remember and fetch you in the next time you are craving for steak.

Absolutely excellent experience at Morton's at World Trade Center. Went there for after celebration of our daughter's wedding ceremony. Waiter asked about any special celebrations, and we told him. The food was excellent. Filet minion was very tender, service was outstanding. Was treated to wine on the house in honor of our celebration. Waiter also took a photo of our table and presented the bride and groom with a Morton's photo in a remembrance folder that was properly noted inside in silver. This was out second time eating at this location and it just keeps getting more and more outstanding. Thank You Morton's for making this day extra special for our family.

The food was ok. My husband said his prime rib wasn't outstanding for $69. My lobster ravioli was just ok. I could only eat 3. The rest is in a doggy bag here at our hotel. We also ordered sides that were not that great. They were too cheesy. I guess we ordered the wrong sides. The dessert was good. Service was good, but tap water could have been poured more for my son. The waiters could have scraped away crumbs like they've done at other high end restaurants.We spent $300 here. The basement dining room is not impressive with its low ceilings. It was good to try Morton's for once in our lives, but this will probably be our last Landry's steak house. Gallagher's in midtown was much more impressive overall.

The food here at Morton’s was very very nice. I was extremely pleased with how my steak was cooked (very difficult to find restaurants that cook to one’s liking) and the fries were the best I had in Manhattan since I arrived for this specific trip. It was pretty quite on the inside but the staff were great and attentive. Only issue we found was the beer was all bottled, no draft. Toilets were very cleaned and well taken care of. I would come back here to morton’s if I were in the area looking for a nice steak.

Perfection! Returned to Morton's on a relatively quiet Saturday evening and received a warm welcome when we checked in. Had the Nueske's Bacon Steak and French Onion Soup to start and both were wonderful. Treated ourselves to the Wagyu Ribeye and it was perfectly prepared and simply outstanding - very tender and almost buttery. The Rack of Lamb was also excellent as was the Chicken Christopher. The Truffled Cream Corn and the Smoked Gouda & Bacon Au Gratin Potatoes were satisfying (and filling!) sides. Our server Wilma was terrific as was the rest of the staff. Very memorable meal!

It's hard to go wrong with a steakhouse but wow it was pretty bad. Even asking for a1 sauce took about 12 minutes. The steak was bland the spinach was bland. Both needed loads of salt and a1, which took forever to get. The lobster bisque was good and so was the ceaser salad. Their raw bar is also pretty good. Service was a c minus at best. The decor needs an update. The lighting fixtures creeped me out. The steak wasn't grilled and the bread was stale.

Yes, it's a chain. Yes, it's in a tourist trafficked area. Yes, it's pricey. And: yes. Morton's does an excellent steak. I booked an early birthday dinner for myself on a Saturday evening. Being in the Financial District on a Saturday, I wasn't entirely surprised to see a lack of crowds, though I was the only diner on the first floor. My steakhouse order doesn't change much: shrimp cocktail + steak + mushrooms + whiskey drink. The shrimp cocktail here had some of the largest shrimp I've seen, served with some properly zippy cocktail sauce. While ribeye is my go to cut, I went with a dry aged strip instead. It was done a perfect medium rare but a little too charred on the edges. The accompanying side of spinach and mushrooms added a nice flavour contrast but was in need of some other seasoning. And the whiskey drink? A fine Manhattan with Woodford Reserve + sweet vermouth + cherries + orange peel + ...steak. It may seem gimmicky to garnish a cocktail with a small piece of prime beef, but it works.

Ribeye was delicious. Lamb was gamey. Drinks were outstanding! Service lacked at first with a ong wait late at night on a Friday, but the Hostess Joanne took our orders and Corey are server was fantastic. They stepped up their game big time. It is not their fault the location is is inside a hotel. Yes you get lost looking for the bathroom. Corey hugged me after my birthday creme brulee! Who does that! I loved my birthday celebration here and shall return.

Horribly disorganized for the private party. Drink orders taking over 30 minutes. Served wrong dishes and missed some people who are left waiting when others completed their meals. Don't understand how a top restaurant can foul up so badly.

When you think of places out-of-towners would frequent, what name comes to mind? To me, Ruth's Chris and Benihana's fit the bill. Honestly, one we frequented before has been Capital Grille. We stopped into this Morton's Steakhouse location about two blocks South of the World Trade Center, tucked between two hotels, and across the street from the future site of 5 World Trade Center. We had a mid week lunch late in the day, so it wasn't too busy. The decor I would categorize as 1980's bar lounge. Black with art decoish embellishments. We sat at a table harking to booths you would find common in 1980's establishments. A place Mike Pence would find comfort in, should he decide to campaign in The Big Apple. The food was good. Our server brought us a warm fluffy loaf of bread, dotted with browned onions. I liked the butter that spread effortlessly. I had the filet mignon, very tender and nicely seasoned. My wife had the pork chop. The photo does not do it justice, as it is humongous. I loved the taste I got from it. Cuts like buttah. We were there for Restaurant Week, but were surprised that the daily lunch special nearly matched the Restarant Week deal. King of the Road played in the dining room, along with tunes by Sammy Davis, Jr, and Frank Sinatra. Norah Jones' Cheatin' Heart fit the playlist, too. Okay, back to the future.

Great food. Tomahawk and Pork Chops, onion soup is what I ordered. Great service by a host and server named Alejandra. The restaurant itself is great as there are two floors, lots of seats, great music and good drinks to choose from. I will be back when I'm in town!

I've been coming to this Morton's location for over 5 years. Adjacent to the Club Quarters World trade hotel everyone here is very friendly and always provide excellent service. Everything here is delicious but I usually come here for lunch, before your meal you get a freshly loaf of onion bread with butter!

I absolutely love this place! The food was AMAZING! Best lobster bisque I have ever had. Steak cooked to perfection. Quite pricey, but I feel it's worth it!

This was such a lovely spot to visit. This city steakhouse restaurant have spacious 2 levels eating area. Professional and polite wait staff and delicious dishes. I had the lamb dish with mashed potatoes (I didn't like the mashed potatoes gravy) with lobster mac & cheese. It is a quiet setting and a great spot for a date spot.

From the moment we walked into Morton's Steakhouse in NYC, we knew we were in for a special treat. As visitors from California, we were greeted with the warm hospitality that New Yorkers are renowned for. The restaurant was impeccably clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere right from the start. Our server for the evening was Sarah, who was exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable. Stationed behind the bar, she not only crafted perfect cocktails but also ensured our meals were exactly as we wanted. Each dish was a delight, from the perfectly seared steaks to the sumptuous sides that complemented them beautifully. It's rare to find food prepared with such precision and care! The service manager, Colby Nighland, deserves a special mention for his role in making our experience so enjoyable. His attention to detail and dedication to customer service truly set Morton's apart from other dining experiences we've had.

The place is an ordinary steakhouse; there is nothing special in the design. It is not loud. The waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. The lobster bisque soup was terrific. The iceberg salad was cold and Spot On! I did not eat oysters, but as I was told by family, it was excellent and fresh. The steak came warm and was done to the right temperature. There was a nice crust. It needs a little salt on the top. Sides baked potato was ok. The lynnaise potato and mushroom/ spinach were tasty.

Had a great business lunch here for 12. Wisely chose a Tuesday when staff isn't so busy. Food, Service, table placement, attentiveness of staff were all very good. Everyone's entree arrived at the same time!!

A friend suggested me this place to try the restaurant week. Pretty good deal for RW. But expect nothing for dessert. Keylime pie, chocolate mousse and cheesecake were all.. below good. Service. I laughed at how defensive the servers were. 2 people in my group ordered exactly the same thing, NY Strip - Med Rare. One was great, but the other one got it rare, totally different color compare to the other one. It was too chewy, he had to sent it back twice. And one server just had to gave him an attitude by saying, "oh, this is medium rare!!" Oh dear, check your kitchen standard before being snob in front of customers.

This was my first time at this location. The hostess was very nice as soon as we walked in and sat us down. Our waitress was Tiara and she was very attentive and made sure we felt comfortable with what we wanted to order. For our appetizers we ordered the bacon wrapped scallops and lobster ravioli. Scallops was good the bacon was a bit undercooked and the ravioli was pretty good. For our main course we had the twin lobster tails, lobster Mac and cheese, garlic mashed potatoes and lamb chops. Looking for a date night location check out Morton's.

Calm, upscale vibes. I would give the total package an A-. I asked for a couple of items more than once. Food was delicious and cooked to temperature of choice. Waitress was pleasant and not overly engaging. The ventilation system was working a little too good, making dining with any part of my skin exposed uncomfortable. Everybody had on a sweater, hoodie, shawl, or jacket while dining. Soothing, ballroom music permeates the airwaves. You may think Old Blue Eyes is about pop out. Overall good, solid spot. Good for a date, family affair, or a hangout.

Came here for my anniversary it's a nice n elegant spot It's real big they have a basement the service was good and the food is a1 quality you get what you pay for I will be back 2/3 more times before summer is over

It was a special night so it called for a special dinner and Mortons was our choice. We originally had a early reservation but had to push it back, they were very accommodating. We arrived, found parking and was at our table in less than 10 mins. We were greeted by a staff member, temperature checked and introduced to our waiter. He ran off the specials for the night and made some recommendations. The crab cake was ok..but everything else....Amazing. the crusty onion loaf was warm and delicious, the seafood tower fresh and tasty and our tomahawks and feliet mignon FlavorFul!!! Cooked to the right temp. For sudes we had the loaded bake potato, truffle fries, mash potatoes and the mushrooms and onions. Desserts: key lime pie and a airy cheesecake. This location is great for a date night or even a buissness meeting. Staff was friendly as well

I planned a three-day staycation in Lower Manhattan for my husband's 55th Birthday Weekend. The reservations were made nearly a week in advance. I let them know we would be celebrating his birthday and that it was a special night. I also told them that my husband is diabetic, but still enjoys great food, with the appropriate modifications. They were kind and assured me that we would be very satisfied with a delightful evening. Kayleigh Kehme was the person I spoke to more than once. She was very sweet and helpful. We entered the restaurant through our hotel lobby (Club Quarter at World Trade Center) and we were warmly greeted by Kayleigh. She was as lovely in person as she was over the phone. She escorted us downstairs to our table, where the menu had my husband's name and birthday emblazoned on top of both menus. Our waiter, Patrick, who was welcoming, was fantastic. He came to the table, fully prepared to make delicious, diabetic-friendly recommendations. He was friendly and knowledgeable about everything on the menus. He was also super attentive. Our food and drinks were amazing. When we were full, we decided against dessert. We are also being careful, health-wise. Patrick still came back to the table with assorted berries, to complete the birthday feast. What a great touch. Very much appreciated. My husband and I had a terrific, celebratory, and romantic, evening. My husband was elated. So was I. The Morton's crew went above and beyond to please us. They certainly exceeded our expectations. This was a great, dining experience/date night to commemorate an important milestone. We smiled all the way back to our hotel room. That trip was quick and very convenient, as we took the restaurant's elevator straight to our room. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is hands down, the best Morton's experience I've ever had in any city! From the service to the kitchen quality, everything was A++* First off, David, our server, is A-MAZING! AH-Mazing! His professionalism, wit, suggestions- all on point. The food was prepared with obvious dedication from the chefs. I had the chicken Christopher and the light delicious garlic and lemon sauce was crazy good. My husband and I both fillet and lobster. Everything from the bread to the scalloped potatoes, just superb! Way to start the week off in NYC! Definitely recommend this location!

We came in for dinner and we were not disappointed. The ambience was dim and romantic and our server was wonderful. We enjoyed everything from the appetizer to dessert, just perfect! The cocktails, amazing. This probably one of the best steakhouse's we have been to in NYC.

Brought my son there for his birthday. Not what I expected from a well known Steakhouse. Took 20 min before someone came to our table and the place wasn't busy. Ordered the Meatballs and they came cold so I guess they aren't made to order. Ordered our steaks and had to ask her for some sides before she got to far. The smoked Gouda scallop potatoes came undercooked and hard unpleasant. The steaks were very good thou. Asked for the bill waited another 20 min had to ask another employee if they could get it.

Came here last weekend for a date night with my husband. We reserved online we're running late and was able to adjust via open table. We arrived promptly and was escorted to our seats. Our server I forget his name was an older gentleman. He was a great server we had appetizers, cockatails and then our entrees. Loved the ambience and the food was great we will be back. The only thing we were annoyed with is when we were done we couldn't find our server I believe he might've been taking care of some other guest which is fine we just had another reservation and we're pressed for time. But besides that a great date night.

I came here with my colleagues and had a great experience. I didn't have dinner, but I did have dessert, champagne and some bread that they left for the table. The bread was like a loaf of Challah. We had to cut it ourselves, but that was fine, since everyone wanted different amounts. The bread itself was really good and was topped with what I perceived to be carmelized onions. The outside was smooth, and the inside was soft. There were no crispy edges like the bread at other places, but it still tasted good. The butter that came with the bread was whipped, light and perfectly salted. I could eat it all day with the bread. For the champagne, we ordered two bottles of the Ruinart Blanc de Blancs brut (it was a large group of lawyers, and we were there for a celebratory dinner). The servers poured the champagne for us perfectly, and my glass never empty unless I wanted it to be. For dessert, I got the creme brulee upon the recommendation of our server, and it was also incredible. The creme was smooth and sweet, and the sugar on top was even, cirsp and bruleed to perfection. I also liked the garnish of raspberries and mint on top. Service was excellent. From the moment we walked in and they took our coats and bags, until the moment we left, we felt very well taken care of. The servers were patient and answered all of our questions. Even though our party was there for a while, we never felt rushed, and were comfortable taking our time. I docked one star because there were very few vegetarian options, if any, on the entree menu.

NYC Summer 2019 Restaurant Week Lunch Review My colleagues and i took advantage of Morton's restaurant week lunch menu recently. For $26, you can pick soup or salad for appetizer and an entree. For starters, they gave us a big round bread (with soft whipped butter on the side) for us to share. Both colleagues ordered the Morton's Salad (appetizer) and Grilled 9 oz. Ribeye Steak with Garlic Butter and Mashed Potatoes (entree). They told me that they enjoyed their steak a lot. Meanwhile, I got the Caesar Salad (appetizer) and Broiled Salmon with Beurre Blanc and Mashed Potatoes (entree). I really enjoyed my meal a lot and I left feeling stuffed. The salmon was cooked perfectly and it was still moist. I just wished their mashed potatoes had some brown gravy on top, but other than that it was a delicious meal. The place wasn't super busy when we came at around 12:30pm for lunch. I think there's a lower level that can accommodate larger groups. BTW, you can make your lunch / dinner reservations here on OpenTable. Our waiter was Sebastian. He was awesome. He provided friendly and great service to us. Overall, it was a good experience here for RW lunch.

Amazing dinner. Came here for my partners birthday. For some reason he thought the restaurant was located inside of the actual world trade building. Although it was not we still had a lovely evening celebrating his birthday. We usually visit the great neck location. This location had a very similar ambiance and theme. We were started downstairs with literally no other Guests. No problem...private dining room! Our food was amazing as it always is at Morton's. But the star of our night was our server Tiara. She gave us awesome service! Atrentitive but not over bearing. Her personality was truly delightful. If we happen to be back at this location in the near future I will certainly request her as our servince. Excellent job Tiara! All of the managers and staff were great as well. As a servince progressions and self proclaimed food critic I am VERY Big on customer service and this location did not disappoint!

This review is for 8/15/18 Restaurant Week dinner. I came alone and sat at the bar. The service was beyond wonderful. I ordered the Sliced Tomato with Blue Cheese dressing, the Filet (Medium Rare) with Horseradish Mashed Potatoes and the Chocolate Mousse. All were excellent especially the steak. I never order filet since I'm always disappointed but not here, I was almost able to cut it with a fork. The mashed were very horseradishy, I loved it but beware if you're not used to it. The mousse was a perfect ending to a fantastic meal especially at the price for RW.

We had an the filet and NY Strip on the bone they were both cooked to perfection. Great portions and the sides were also delicious - salad - wine and service was perfect. Location was next to our hotel and we didn't have to wait.... Enjoy Ronn Just Ronn the hole in the wall food guy Bon Appetite

If you are looking for an upscale dining experience with people who are hardcore carnivores, Morton's is your place. The service is good and not overbearing. The steaks are terrific and the sides are mouthwatering. I am not going to list what we ate because it I a steakhouse, not a chicken joint - you can figure it out. We enjoyed Morton's but don't forget your wallet!!!

Let me start off by stating my boyfriend and I went on a Friday February 13 (a busy weekend) and the first day indoor dining was allowed in NYC since Covid. At first we called to make a reservation and I was told that we could just walk in, and i insisted to make one. I told him my name (make sure to always get the name of the person greeting you!!!) and we drove all the way from the Bronx to have dinner this evening. When we got to the restaurant at our reservation time, another gentleman at the front told me i didn't have a reservation and i had to wait until there was space. It was frustrating because I had called but, We were still seated fairly quickly afterwards. We sat at the table for about 10 before we were offered water and about another 10 mins after that before we could get any waiter to ask for bread. Again, it was their first night back but that was a long time waiting for water and bread. The bread was still delicious when it came out! We ordered their Valentine's Special which came with appetizers, lobster, steak, sides and desserts for each person with a bottle of wine. It was at a very good cost and we were pleased that they were able to have the wine breathe in a decanter. The food came out quick. It was delicious. We had caesar salad and lobster bisque as our appetizer. We added the crab cakes because we're greedy and ordered the sautéed mushroom and spinach for our side. We weren't a fan of the side. We have had their mash potatoes and asparagus before and it was better. The lobster was cut perfectly and clean and the steak was cooked to perfection (Med). We then ordered the creme brûlée for dessert. That was amazing. Our meal was great as a whole and we were greatly satisfied for the wait. Well worth it. The service otherwise was amazing. They came and refilled our wines for us occasionally and paid more attention to us once they got their flow again. Will go again to this location. Hard to find parking during the day but easy in the evening. Will recommend and go again. They wore masks, sanitized everything and had social distancing. Plan to spend at LEAST $100 for 2 people.

It's a real treat to get Morton's takeout during coronavirus. Super easy to call ahead with the order and they had it ready right when we got to the door. We got the summer special for two with one appetizer each, petite filet with choice of lobster tail, crab cake, or bacon wrapped scallops, sides and a dessert each. The apps were fresh and cool considering the outdoor temperature was over 90 degrees. The steaks were perfectly cooked and still warm. And the desserts were rich and decadent. There was no need to enter the restaurants. There was plenty of hand sanitizer available and the transaction was super smooth. Look forward to when the restaurant is open again for dine in service!

All I ordered was a steak. I ordered a 12oz fillet medium rare. Which is what I usually order In every steakhouse I've ever been to. The first steak that came out was very over. Was barely pink in the middle and had that grainy grey texture on the outside that makes you want to ask for steak sauce. I just couldn't choke it down so brought it to my waiter's attention. The next steak they brought wasn't cooked through was cold in the center. While I'm a pretty adventurous eater and enjoy tartar I was hoping for a hot well cooked steak. So back to the waiter I go I always feel bad sending food back but when you're paying this much and only have one item it's kind of a big deal. So the steak came back and I'm pretty sure it was just tossed in a microwave because it had no flavor and was still not really cooked through. The staff who kept checking in on me just kept saying well however you like it. And I just wanted to say I just want it cooked mid rare as I ordered it. But was trying not to be rude. So when it came out the last time i just ate it. It was disappointing and had very little flavor ultimately it tasted like the roast beef you get from the deli counter. The last Morton's I went to gave me bread but maybe you have to order it as an appetizer now for an additional charge. I'm not sure but I definitely wasn't given any additional anything. At least they took the second steak off my bill they cooked but still charged me full price for the terrible one I finally ate. I get it. I ate it but I definitely won't be returning when I'm in town. This was a one star meal I'm giving two stars because the server was kinda nice.

My boyfriend and I came here for the first time on Valentine's day and we were seated pretty quickly with a reservation. We ordered the lobster ravioli appetizer ($19) which was soo good but sadly, was only 3 pieces. We waited a long time for our steaks and was getting really anxious. When our entrees finally came out, our waiter, I believe his name is Julio, apologized for the long wait time and said the appetizer was on the house on behalf of the kitchen staff. We were so surprised because that never happened to us before and we really appreciate them for stepping up and making things right. It made our dinner experience a lot better and the customer service is A1.

I came here with a group of friends after the Van Gogh immersive and it was also restaurant week (or month) since it has been going on all of August. The restaurant is spacious with beautiful furnishings. There were 2 floors of dining spaces, and our table was at the lower level. All of us chose the restaurant week menu with the filet mignon upgrade to 8 oz cut; It was delicious and worth it! I upgraded my butter to truffle butter from the suggestion of the waiter. I happily oblige and was not disappointed. My side was steak frites and cooked well done, a delicious side. If you have a dining partner, I would suggest to share the fries and your partner order the string beans. It's perfect so you don't feel too guilty skipping on the veggies. For dessert, I upgraded to the their famous hot chocolate cake and yes, it's totally worth it! My only issue was the sugar coating on the plate underneath the vanilla ice cream scoop. It is already a sweet dessert and to have another layer of sugar was unnecessary. Yes to this place when thinking of a steakhouse for restaurant week. This establishment has the most bang for the buck! Our table also ordered a bottle of their special priced cab and it was a perfect pairing.

I came here for my friend's graduation from nursing school celebration recently this week and also to partake in restaurant week's dining special. Although, I do remember vaguely being at a Morton's Steakhouse in downtown Brooklyn years ago (think it's closed now) with the exact same friend because who else knows about their happy hour specials except 50 year-old men with frequent flyer miles or Howie? Let's just cut to the chase - Power Hour is epic. Epic in the sense that they make pretty stiff drinks here in gargantuan sized martini glasses the size of my head. This is a real drink. This is what Don Draper wants. This is what Mommy wants. During Power Hour Beer is $5.50 (pretty crap options), Wine $8 (their wine isn't too shabby), and $9 cocktails and martinis (You want these). Appetizers are also marked down. But who needs food? For our restaurant week experience I went with an aviation (mostly gin and creme de violette), which was made really well. It's one of my favorite cocktails and they did it justice. The bread we started with was still warm. Oddly you have to slice it with a giant bread knife. It comes out in a loaf. Ingrid was somehow placed in charge of the giant bread knife and slicing the bread for the evening, which was probably a good thing. I should have asked for another bread. It was seriously fantastic. For dinner I went with the Morton's salad for the starter (only difference with their regular salad is that it's made with blue cheese dressing, egg, and anchovies). It's an iceberg salad with an anchovy on it. I can't really speak much about it. Entree: 6 oz filet mignon that was cooked perfectly medium rare. It was a great cut of steak. We all ordered the exact same thing so I can't really compare dishes but even the bloody juices that were flowing out of my cut of bovine I decided to drench in my side of sour cream mashed potatoes. Thank you, Morton's. The side of creamed spinach was pretty excellent as well. Actually, it was better than the mashed potatoes that were on the runny side without much flavor. Deserts - the only dish I can really rave about was Howie's Molten Chocolate Lava cake (that cost him $6 extra) but it was so worth it. This was a lava cake that actually flowed and the chocolate was dense like hot ganache and of a rich quality. I stupidly went with cheesecake and it was okaaaaay. I normally like cheesecake and wanted to finish my friend's chocolate cake over this. Btw, Power Hour is 4:00-6:30pm. But don't cry, they also have another happy hour from 9pm-closing.

After trying out their Midtown location I'd figured why not give this location a try during restaurant week, we had RSVP & were seated right away upon arrival. Drinks we went with a bottle of Red wine, the Cabernet Sauvignon very nice went well with our food. they start u off with that delicious loaf of Bread nice & hot so good with the added butter, very dangerous & hard to resist. Appetizers we got the Caesar salad good nice & simple good in taste & the Prosciutto wrapped Mozzarella good as well. Main dishes we went with the Center Cut Filet Mignon & the Shrimp Scampi .. the steak was very good nice flavor to the meat cooked just right. I don't want to say the Shrimp scampi stole the show? but it kinda did a bit.. wow this dish was delicious, nice big pieces of shrimp, great tasting pasta & sauce. side dishes we had the Sauteed broccoli very good & the Mash potatoes good as well. Not much room for dessert but we got the Key lime pie so good & the Double chocolate mousse not bad. Decent size location, two floors we were seated below .. service was good, good prices because of restaurant week on the high end otherwise. this is not your typical every day dinning experience but it is definitely worth a try.

I am a fan of chain steakhouses; for the simple fact that, if one location isn't so swell, you can always check out another, and have a completely different experience. I previously went to Morton's for a birthday dinner at their, now closed Downtown Brooklyn location back in 2010. Unfortunately, we had a sarcastic server, which led to a crappy experience. However, this time was a a business lunch and I had a delightful time at this Lower Manhattan location. It was 1PM, the restaurant only had one table that had dining patrons, and I was very surprised. Anyhow, we were seated and our delightful server came over rather quickly. She was super attentive the entire time, even while she was doing work behind the bar; she always managed to come over and check the table, or look over to see if we were seeking her attention. We both went with the pre-fix lunch-- for me it was an attempt to stay away from racking up in calories, but that mission failed anyway. I went with the 6oz Filet w/mashed potatoes and cheesecake. The host of the lunch went with the Salmon w/veggies and cheesecake. Also, threw in some onion rings as an appetizer, of sorts. The steak was cooked medium as requested and I would give 4.5 out of 5. The mashed potatoes were average 3.75 out of 5. The onion rings and cheesecake were both great and would be a 4.5 out or 5. I would comeback here in a heartbeat-- great service, nice ambiance and the food was good. Also, I noticed they have pretty good offerings on the Happy Hour menu.

Visiting NYC with my wife and we decided to eat here based on staying nearby. The waiter we had was good. The food was poor I had chicken that didn't have much flavor and way overcooked. The potatoes were ok and the wedge salad was the only thing I would ever order from there if I was forced to return. My wife's filet was not very good didn't taste like a quality piece of meat. The cream of spinach was terrible. Deserts tasted like jello pudding put into a bowl or glass with some added toppings. We came here and it happened to be restaurant week so I guess I can day thank goodness because it was some sort of deal at $60 a person. Wouldn't pay $25 for this anywhere else. Don't waste you money. Just go somewhere else and get some good food.
