My sons took me here for my birthday. Our server Pauline was excellent ! She was polite, knowledgeable, and just the right amount of attentiveness. The filet and lobster were melt in the mouth delicious. I was even served their chocolate fudge cake with a candle free of charge. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you !

Never had Morton’s so I wanted to try the happy hour to see if this would be a contender for my birthday. Happy hour portions were delicious and satisfying. First thing I order was burger sliders ( wagyu beef) , match stick truffle fries, fried chicken sliders , braised beef tacos. My girl got a lemon drop, and I got a non alcoholic orchard drink. I enjoyed everything and even the onion roll bread and butter was huge and tasty hot. I definitely will come back to try dinner but I loved it. Ask for EJ he was the homie 🔥🙏🏾💯

I visited this steakhouse over the weekend and had an amazing time with my food and service. My server was fantastic, and I really enjoyed my night. A friend gifted me a gift card for my birthday, which I was excited to use. Unfortunately, the experience took a turn for the worse when the manager, who was working the Saturday closing shift, refused to process my gift card transaction. She even accused me of having fraudulent gift cards without any explanation, luckily I carried my credit card to pay I tried to compromise and explained that I had checked the balance on the Landry website, and everything was fine. I even used the same gift card at another location without any issues. As a customer in New York City who has dined at multiple locations using gift cards, I was shocked by her accusation. It felt a little racist, to be honest, which is hurtful to even write because the food and service were otherwise excellent. This experience completely ruined my night, and I am extremely disappointed with how the situation was handled by the management.

Went here in March 2023 for the first time as a family of 4 with 2 children (2 & 7). Though there wasn't a kid's menu available, the wait staff was accommodating and offered us the bar menu for smaller plates to order for them. We chose the sliders for the kids and a few dishes for ourselves. The crabcake was amazing as well as the filet. We've been to several "fine dining" restaurants, but this was the first one to deliver both atmosphere and amazing taste. We haven't had an opportunity to come back yet, but we will definitely be returning.

Despite its reputation, the meal fell far below expectations. The steak was overcooked and lacked flavor, and the sides were equally unimpressive. The service was slow and inattentive, making the entire dining experience frustrating. For the high price, I expected much better quality and attention to detail. Unfortunately, we won’t return or recommend

This place was suggested to us by a friend. It was our 35th anniversary. We loved everything about it. We knew ahead of time it was going to be pricey. My husband said the steak was one of the best he had ever had. Our server was wonderful. Made us feel special. We enjoyed the 1930s theme and the big band music. It is definitely not a place to go weekly, but for special occasions, it was great.

First time coming and was blown away with how much flavor every food item had. The staff is phenomenal, talkative and hard working. We enjoyed the owner walking checking on tables and the quality of food. There is a dress code which is nice. They offer valet, a book of hundreds of wine to choose from, phenomenal drinks, and the sides you choose from are enough to share with 2-3 people. This restaurant served me the best NY strip I believe I’ve ever had. I would recommend this restaurant!

I visited yesterday on Feb 13 with my boyfriend for Valentine’s Day Dinner. The food here was amazing. We got the Waygu with Caesar salads and the scalloped Gouda and bacon potatoes! As a frequent visitor here, there has always been that amazing butter on top of my steak. This time, it was simply a dry wagyu, with nothing or no garnishments like normal. Just a tiny steak in the middle of the plate. That was upsetting. Then our waitress, was awful. She was profiling us. She was giving every other one of her tables great service. But us, it was awful. She didn’t give us the complimentary bread that everyone gets. She gave it to the tables who came after us though. She also took 23 minutes to get us a water and a cola. Right in front of us, she made a comment to another server about my boyfriend’s pants. Saying she didn’t like them. I would have never expected behavior like this from Morton’s. She never stopped at our table to see how our food was. This was very disappointing as a young couple for what used to be our favorite restaurant. Over all including tip, dinner was over $280 for terrible customer service and a dry, 7oz steak. Don’t think I’ll be returning. Ruined our Valentine’s Day.

Yelp
We came here for our anniversary and the service was out of this world. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the interior was really well maintained. I highly recommend adding the truffle butter to any steak you eat there.

Yelp
Super good Waygu !!! Nyc strip we're so good I loved the Waygu super bursting flavor and drinks were really strong

Yelp
Enjoyed my dinner .. It was delicious ..it was New Year's Eve so it was quite crowded. The service was good but because it was New Year's Eve they was about 30 minutes behind, but in the meantime, I enjoyed the ambience of a dinner which they require proper attire.. it's just nice to go out and see everyone looking nice and gives you a sense of class

Yelp
Came to Morton's to celebrate my dads birthday. Overall we had a very nice time. Our server was fantastic and very hospitable and knowledgeable on the menu! The food was good. Everyone in my party liked their meal and it was all well cooked. I am spoiled and have tried a lot of good seafood dishes and I ordered the sea bass and it was just okay to me. It tasted a little too fishy for me. What I liked the best was surprisingly the salad! I also really enjoyed the truffled fries. I just wish the other sides and my fish had a bit more flavor. We have eaten at the bar in this Morton's many times and we absolutely love their burger and more casual fare on the bar menu. Id recommend coming and eating on the bar side Vs the dining room. The bartender makes great drinks! My only other comment is the dinner took over two hours which was fine for us since we were celebrating a birthday and in no rush. But good to know if you're considering coming on a limited time frame. All of the steak was cooked to the correct temperature so I'm sure that's why it took a longer time since it's made to order! All in all it was a nice meal spent with family and I ate all the food but none of the flavors blew me away and left me raving. But this is a great restaurant with good service and also take my review with a grain of salt as I do not eat steak and this is a steak place, the other members of my party who had steaks all really liked theirs.

Yelp
Very disappointed in our meal at Morton's in Troy. Service was good, steaks were great but sides were not good at all. Potatoes Au Gratin were undercooked and asparagus was woody and unevenly cooked. Some tasted fishy. Bread was very ordinary and for the prices, the meal did not live up to expectations. It was our anniversary and we were excited to try the restaurant out, but will not go back as other steak houses in the area are better. After this experience, we heard similar complaints from our nephew too.

Yelp
Yelp considers 3-stars to be Okay. This is a "Could've been better" 2-star review. We visited for the Thanksgiving prix fixe meal being offered. I did not really study the menu before making our reservation - it's Thanksgiving, right? Turkey and the usual sides, right? Well ... the sides were a bit of a miss for us because some of portion sizes were disappointingly teenie, tiny, skimpy. We arrived a few minutes before our 3PM reservation and were seated after a bit of computer gymnastics. At one point I assumed that they had lost our reservation or perhaps entering nuclear launch codes. I offered our reservation number. Not necessary, she had it. Dunno why all the computer work and frowning. First impressions? Dark - too dark (for my aging eyes). More on this later. Water and Morton's signature onion roll arrived promptly. Soon enough our server arrived with the beverage and standard menus and asking if we'd like cocktails. Yes, please. Our server's mocktail recommendations were spot-on. But no mention of the Thanksgiving meal ... I inquired ... she replied that she would need to check, but was uncertain if the Thanksgiving meal was already sold-out as it was late. Huh? 3PM on Thanksgiving Day and possibly sold-out? Ruh-roh. I also learned that there is a strict no-substitutions policy. Oh. Dessert was pumpkin cheese cake for a guy that detests the taste of pumpkin. We placed our mocktail and meal orders immediately. Somehow during this exchange, she never mentioned and we never asked about ordering appetizers. We should have ordered appetizers. The bar service is slooow. Without prompting, she stopped by multiple times to apologize for the slow bar service. Another onion roll arrived. The salads arrived soon enough - nicely prepared, not under or over dressed. The mocktails finally arrived. Yay! Very tasty. No regrets. And another long-ish wait for our meals. Never updated as to whether we were getting the turkey dinner we anticipated; or, would we be ordering from the menu? Surely we would not be kept waiting this long only to be told to place a different order? I began to worry. Suddenly our turkey dinners were served. Yay! Hot food, hot. Cold food, cold. Turkey? Moist and a reasonable portion. Mashed potatoes were the real deal; creamy, warm and just enough small lumps to remind us that this was not from a box. Loved the corn souffle! Gravy? Good. The misses: The meal served did not resemble the meal pics advertised. - Dressing. One fork worth of dressing. One. Uno. It was excellent, but why so skimpy? The pic advertising the meal included a reasonable portion of dressing ... enough dressing for a bit with every bite of turkey. I love dressing. It was a wonderful, single bite. Disappointed. - Cranberry relish. One & one-half fork worth of cranberries. Again; excellent and skimpy. I love cranberry relish. Disappointed. - Morton's PoS system is a POS. It "ate" my CC. The check included a QR code. Fantastic! I love to use the automated, electrontic (Apple Pay) checkout. Review. Appove. Tip. Double-click. Done. Nope! This is a ghastly NCR offering that simply took me to a webpage where I had to manually enter my CC info ... and I struggled to read my CC info because it was too damn dim inside. I entered all my info and pressed Pay. Chase immediately sent me a text message that my card was stolen and that I would receive a new card in 5-7 days. Sigh. I paid cash and left with my (no substitutions!) pumpkin cheese cake. Will I return? Unlikely. I feel snookered and disappointed. Note to Morton's execs. Your CTO has failed you: - Ditch whatever check-in system you are using and return to paper & pencil. - Stop printing QRcodes on the checks. The user-experience of your NCR technology is bad, horrible, ghastly, unacceptable. Whenever suggesting QR electronic payment, it should immediately link to Apple, Google, Samsung payment systems. If my favorite family-owned, neighborhood taqueria can figure it out, surely the whizbangs at Landry's head shed can do better!

Yelp
Update: I returned and the experience was perfect. I had the dry aged ribeye with cognac au poivre sauce. It was amazing and that sauce is incredible. It's very peppery which I like. The Gouda bacon au gratin potatoes were excellent. I had the Morton's martini (2) and they are great with the bleu cheese olives. The service is excellent and I can't wait to come back.

Amanda B.

Yelp
Morton's food is solid, but not phenomenal. I feel like it's no better than cheaper steaks at other restaurants. Why you pay such exorbitant rates at Morton's is for the service. I told my husband that Morton's is how I imagine an old school restaurant would have been, before eating out was such a normal thing; the servers have less tables and therefore more time for you. We purposely got an earlier reservation to ensure even better service and weren't disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the food was great, but not over $100 for two steak dinners great. Would I go back? Sure!

Sabrina H.

Yelp
We went to celebrate a birthday. The service was very slow. We were offered an appetizer no longer on the menu: Shrimp Alexander. It was tasty, however they conveniently forgot to mention that the 6 shrimp appetizer was $40. My husband's steak was ordered medium but it came out well done. They did take it back, but there was no apology. His new steak was closer to medium, but was chewy in texture and clearly did not rest for enough time, as it was served in a layer of the meat juice. The miso sea bass was tasty. The sautéed mushrooms and spinach was very bland and even salt and pepper couldn't fix it. We asked if they did anything special for birthdays and they do a free dessert (anything except for the chocolate cake). However, I doubt this would've been mentioned if I hadn't asked. The ambiance was typical for a steak house. Overall, the food was not worth the price or the hype.

Kaylee C.

Yelp
Update to the review: the business asked for my contact information and never contacted me. I presume that's the case for all reviews posted where Morton's pretends to care. The two stars I gave before: have the 1 star you deserve.

Yelp
My Dining experience at Morton's was just ok! First time dining here, I guess I was expecting much more for the upscale prices.. First, valet service was a plus, it was a cold evening.. the inside is really nice. You can check your coat and that's a plus.. ok now on to the food! So we chose this place to celebrate my daughter's birthday! We ordered steaks.. they were bland but very tender.. the lobster Mac and cheese was cheesy; however, I didn't see the lobster. Overall the Mac and cheese were ok.. now the Brussel sprouts was not what I'm use to but they were tasty.. I like the crispy, tasty flavorful ones.. they were soft but good! The server was ok but I felt as though he was rushing us through our meal. And final, where was our birthday dessert! They gave us birthday menus as we walked out the door!!! Overall, I was underwhelmed and won't be returning..

Vera L.

Yelp
We had a terrible, terrible experience there on Christmas Day, long wait time even with reservation, untrained and inattentive staff but the worst thing that ruined my evening was sand in the leaves of bok choy that came with sea bass dinner. would not recommend this location to anyone.

David P.

Yelp
Food was ok nothing special but the service was the worst Ive had, ordered wine never came wanted coffee with dessert never offered tired of asking for everything. Save your money please stay away!!!! P.s. i review restaurants for a living but choose not waste my time on such a sub par venue

Sera M.

Yelp
Too dark, piped music too loud, a/c too cold. Bland sea bass, barely warm flavorless mash potatoes, and most items very overpriced. 13$ for a baked potato!

Thomas H.

Yelp
Enjoyed a steak at this bar the other night while in town. I ate in the spacious bar, which has lots of seating at the bar and a big lounge area. Food is the typical Morton's, I had the 22 ounce bone-in rib eye steak and a baked potato. Steak was cooked perfectly. It didn't seem like a 22 ounce steak, but I am sure it was close. Baked potato was just OK, I wish I would have made a different choice. Otherwise the staff was friendly and provided very good service.

Bianca S.

Yelp
I really was expecting this place to be better. I had a lot of people tell me it used to be really good. It seems like the food is the biggest issue as it hasn't been the greatest recently. We decided to try it for our anniversary. It was very cute, darker lighting, clean. Our waiter came out and took our picture, they were able to print it out and put it in a card- I liked that. The menu was customized for us as well. I was able to take it home. But the food wasn't what I wanted it to be. It was just OK. We had to send the steak back because it was well done instead of medium rare. It's a bummer when a steakhouse can't perfect the steak. The drink menu didn't have anything very special on it. It was all very, blah. I wouldn't really really choose to go here again.

Robert P.

Yelp
We went here during happy hour and it was such a good idea. They have drinks for those who drink and they have some excellent food items that are about half price during happy hour. The filet mignon sliders where amazing, I decided to get the sauce on the side and do a bit of dipping in that and some zip sauce. The fries I was thinking where going to be too thin but they where just right and perfectly cooked, honestly some of the best fries I've had in a loooong time with garlic and truffle oil it was melt in your mouth good and fun to try out different sauces with. The environment was business casual with a touch of elegance all in all a very nice way to spend happy hour.

Yelp
After 5+ years of my boyfriend wanting to take me to Morton's, we finally stopped in for dinner. A family member of his booked a room to celebrate a special birthday. I'm not a big steakhouse girl, but I went into the experience with an open mind. I liked they were had a special menu for the occasion and servers every step of the way to help refill drinks and answer all questions. The crab cake appetizer was delightful! I love how I could taste all the flavors and it didn't take too seafood-y if you catch my drift. From there I had the Morton's salad -- which has a Caesar like dressing, romaine lettuce and small pieces of egg. I could've bathed in that salad and been happy. 10/10! As previously mentioned, I'm not a big steak girl. I'll eat it but do I gravitate towards steak often? No. Would I order the NY Strip Steak again? No. It was a great steak and I loved the portion but I wasn't in love with it. A little too fatty for my liking. The Chicken Christopher was a standout. Boyfriend and I split each entree. The chicken was so tender and moist. The garlic sauce was superb! A good quality portion that justifies the price tag. Dessert was fresh cheesecake. Can't go wrong! Overall I may come back for a special occasion. I would also like to enjoy the bar menu during Happy Hour for a drink and bar food.

Stephanie F.

Yelp
As a steakhouse I would think cooking steaks are their expertise but I had to send my $62 steak back twice and they still could not cook a medium rare steak. They offered to try a third time on them and I had to pass. Scallops wrapped in bacon came out with no crust on scallop and soggy bacon. Waited 25 minutes for a take out order. The bar area was hugely understaffed which caused a 25 minute delay in our cash out. Took care of the bartender but will say this place needs help. I will not be back.

Kien H.

Yelp
Morton's always has a special place in my heart. Me and my mother used to go for birthdays every year. This time I went, I went during happy hour, not dinner. I got the burger and it was great. You always know that steak houses typically have really great burgers! I got a flight of whiskey, which got me right. The shrimp or amazing. But I feel like they may not be on all the menus at all times. But this time was solid! Service is always top tier. Even sitting by the bar you still get the top-tier service that you expect from an establishment like this.

Drew T.

Yelp
The staff here is Awesome and try their best to build a relationship with you. Updated my review since the last time I was here I had a bad experience due to it being a very hectic Valentine's weekend I gave it a poor review. Management and staff reached out to me and asked for a second chance. Our server was very positive and energetic and made sure we were comfortable you can tell his energy spread in every section he was in. The Management was very Honorable and came and talked to us about our last visit even calling us by our first name. The food came out perfect and the timing was perfect. The setting was comfortable I truly loved our experience this time around and will continue to keep a relationship with them.

Mitt S.

Yelp
Had a dinner there recently and i gotta say this place is getting worse than other Morton's locations in other states. My stake was dry and well overcooked, nothing was offered by my waiter to improve dining experience

Paul A.

Yelp
First impressions are key. The service manager and hostess lack the service aspect of the hospitality industry. They would not acknowledge guests or even make eye contact when you have been standing for minutes at the stand. Yes it's busy, but you still need to greet your guests. Thank Goodness for our server Alisha, she made the bad first impression to a great experience. Even when the food took longer than what it should, waited about 80 mins, she made everything so much better. The sea bass has wonderful flavor, the only thing is that the bass was a bit cold. Sides were good too, but the mashed could be more moist and creamy. Thank you again Alisha!!

Terry T.

Yelp
Morton's was always a favorite of mine, a few years ago they went through a stint of terrible management that pretty much destroyed the Troy location. I am happy to say that they have resolved their issues and restored the location to the former high level of service. They have even gone beyond their previous heights. I have been in this location about 4 time in the last 6 months now and every visit has been outstanding. First off, they have elevated the wine list to be one of the better bottle lists in the Detroit area with a very nice range of selections, especially Old World. The food is excellent and the serving sizes are generous, as you would expect from Morton's. Service is outstanding, they have mastered the art of providing the right balance between attentive but not overbearing. Would definitely recommend returning if you had a bad experience in the past. If you have never been, then you need to go.

Kortney B.

Yelp
I wanted to send everything back. My dads birthday dinner. It was a celebration. He is currently battling brain cancer. My dad loves the Cajun ribeye. Well did. He was so excited to visit his favorite restaurant only to feel like he really wasn't missing anything. It's as if the cook didn't know how to utilize seasons. The Cajun ribeye was the only thing seasoned and over seasoned at that. Too much salt. But then these dishes could have used some salt, pepper , garlic hell something Corn was terrible Spinach & mushrooms had no seasoning at all Au Gratin potatoes had cheese no seasoning Lobster Mac Horrible Brussel sprouts horrible The meat is /was the only thing that everyone kinda enjoyed. Well mines is still in fridge, 3 days later lol The onion bread was a major hit Salads were good I'm convinced this restaurant only is still standing because old "people" eat here. Go to Ocean Prime, J Alexander's(Troy) Seasons 52 ,Ruth Chris don't waste $500 here

Steve Z.

Yelp
Arrived on Father's Day for a 5:45pm reservation on time and now it's 6:15pm and still waiting for our table and was just told by the hostess that there's another 4 tables ahead of us plus a million excuses excuses excuses. What good is a reservation if you can't honor it on time??? With all the good steakhouses on Big Beaver if you value your time GO SOMEWHERE ELSE because this place certainly doesn't value your time. Pretty pathetic. Got seated at 6:45pm, RIDICULOUS. Meal ended and walked out at 8:45pm totally insane. A so-called mgr came over who I complained to said they would take care of some appetizers for our inconvenience so after the waitress encouraged us to select 2 crab cakes plus the waygu meatballs plus the tuna poke I assumed they'd be taking care of them - NOPE! They were kind enough to take off $30 but come on really? After 3 hours I was tired and had enough and just wanted to go home so I paid the bill and left. Last I checked this is Morton's, too bad they now treat you like it's Denny's. Landry's CEO Tilman Fertitta should do an undercover boss at this location, I think he would be EXTREMELY disturbed.

Bedria P.

Yelp
Service was good and the food was great. Drinks were just ok. The Cajun Steak was amazing!! It is a must try! The oyster were very good but the garlic over powered the oysters. Overall, It was a good visit. I have come before and will likely visit again.

Dionicia S.

Yelp
I went to Morton's for my birthday. They treat you real nice for your birthday. They put your name on the menu. They take your picture & they give you a nice dessert for your birthday. The down side is they ran out of food. (lobster tail, cream spinach) and they don't tell you until everyone else's food comes out that we don't have what you ordered. As far as separating the check absolutely not. It's only one check that everyone at the table has to pay. The problem with that is that some people are paying with card& cash. So that was time consuming. My house salad was good. The dressing on the salad was good. The bread was good and the shrimp was good!

Lina C.

Yelp
We celebrated our wedding and everything was incredible... the dinner, the wine, the service, the atmosphere, everything!

Zach C.

Yelp
My wife and I came in for our anniversary and it was a great experience. Our server, Kyre, was great - good at his job and just a likable guy. Katherine, the host, made sure to make our night feel special from the moment we walked in. The food was solid, exactly what you would expect from a good steakhouse.

Eric S.

Yelp
Yep. Hadn't been for a year or so. The service was a 10 the food was a 9. It's spendy know that going in. The decor is your normal dark steak house ambiance, if you want a hopping hip place this isn't it . Very classy and good

Joseph K.

Yelp
This was an enjoyable restaurant for my wedding anniversary this year. There's been plenty written about what the experience is like, so I'm going to keep it brief and focus on the one negative aspect of our visit. Be assured that the food is high-quality, the service terrific, and the room absolutely delightful with soft lighting and pleasant music. However, the one thing that kept this review from being five stars was what happened at the very end. I had been having such a wonderful evening that I told our server I wanted to visit briefly with the manager to tell him or her how our experience had been. I tend to do this in situations where I have been blown away at how good of an experience I've had. When the manager approached our table, he listened patiently as I sang praises on the quality of service and food. He then proceeded to give me a damn sales pitch for Landrys rewards program. Are you kidding me? Even when I told you I wasn't interested you persisted further. Very disappointing.

Toni P.

Yelp
The food was amazing!! I had the filet lignin and lobster tail with the creamy spinach. My boyfriend had crab cakes with a loaded potato. Drinks were great. It was my birthday and the servers and host made the night amazing.

Yousif P.

Yelp
Fire food crazy good sever with a nice warm place to sit at and when you walk in it's like walking in to la

Sirena T.

Yelp
Pros: Great serving sizes Accommodating workers Open on New Year's Day Cons: Food is average, nothing to die for but not bad

Road A.

Yelp
We had a really nice experience in the bar area for happy hour. Our bartender/server Faith was really great as were all the staff we came in contact with. Food was really good. Everyone that comes to your table asks if there is anything else they can do/get for you......all of them. And then someone actually follows up! We hadn't been there in a few years and very glad we found our way back.

Andrew M.

Yelp
Trying yet another popular steakhouse in Troy. I find the ambiance sort of frustrating. It's almost classy, but you are immediately greeted with a lack luster bar arrangement then followed up with a brash presentation of wine lockers of the far richer patrons to make you feel much "less-than" on the way to your table. It's a too elitist vibe without the follow through of corresponding environment. Personally I'm all for the availability of personal wine lockers etc...but put it in an area that makes your establishment come off less douchey. And for crap sakes, if your pushing for a high end environment take care of the finishes in your restrooms! The place is trashy. The half-ass fixes on the wall and lack of attention to the other blemishes is just sad. I don't usually point to other establishments in a review but Eddi V prime up the road has got this attention to detail down perfectly. I would like to note that upon entering the main door I was greeted with a strong sour mop smell. It's the classic washing the floors with equipment that needs to be replaced. It was gross smelling. Fortunately this might not be a regular issue. The lighting is nice with a prominent wine wall storage showcased and the table arrangement is decent having a food prep area overlooking the room. The vibe is not very modern feeling but not overly outdated either. So, the food... I had the prime ribeye. It was seasoned perfectly. Cooked almost perfectly. Very very good steak. I would have got the butchers cut KC strip but they were out. Sheesh! The au gratin potatoes were decent. The prosciutto wrapped mozzarella was delicious. Scallops were decent but not repeatable. Shrimp scampi is difficult to mess up in my opinion but this plate was very very heavily garlic-ed. The noodles, spinach and shrimp were are par but just over board with garlic flavor. The wine list is excellent with a couple options for high end flights. I would recommend the Globe glamping flight. Went great with my steak. I'll come back if other pals urge me to. Otherwise there's better options out there.

Yelp
My husband took me to this restaurant for our anniversary and it was the best service and food in my damn life! Steak was phenomenal, the onion roll bread was the best I couldn't stop getting seconds! Fries and corn were amazing as well as the mash potatoes! I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
So, Morton has always been our go to place to celebrate special occasions. Have been going to the Troy location for 30 yrs. Saturday night we went again and Im thinking maybe for the last time. One of my wife's favorites it the tuna poke app. She only takes a bite and then requests a box for the rest, as she likes to finish it the next day for lunch. When she asked to have it boxed, our server, Johnathon complied and offered to put it in the fridge till we were ready to go. Nice touch! One of my favorites is French Onion soup and I really fancy the Laionaise potatoes. The soup was close to uneatable with no flavor and the cheese on top was sub par. When my potatoes arrived they were unrecognizable. Huge chunks of cubed potatoes that were obviously deep fried and didnt even come close to what I have been served here many times before. Wifes sea bass was good as was my ribeye. Again we asked to have the left overs boxed and not to forget the tuna poke in the fridge. John came back with the bill and the boxed items in a nice bag. We paid the bill and headed home. The topper was...the poke was not in the bag. John had forgot to put it in. So after a 300$, after tip, bill I looked back at what I received for my money. Shitty soup, crapped up potatoes and a 17$ appetizer that never made it home. You think Im in a hurry to return? I think Ill just take my money to Ruths Chris.

Yelp
Came here several times. The service was superb, the restaurant manager was very active with my table and also my baby niece. Went and grabbed her some food out the back for her to munch on which was so sweet of him to do! Would recommend.

Yelp
2019-10-16 Morton's The Steakhouse. Troy, MI. Morton's is a International chain restaurant offering fine cuts of meats at fine prices. I've had the opportunity to dine at Morton's in various cities (Chicago, New York, Toronto, Detroit) and have never had a disappointing experience. We were at the Somerset Collection and rather than join the rush hour traffic, we decided to try Happy Hour at one of the fine dining restaurants on Big Beaver. We had already tried most of them, and it was down to Morton's and Seasons 52. Both are located in the same plaza and in the end we opted for Morton's. There's plenty of free parking, but the best spots are reserved for the complementary valet parking. Happy hour in upscale restaurants work out to be regular prices at most other restaurants. It was around 17:00 and the place was getting ready for the dinner crowd. There were only two other tables aside from us in the Bar's dining area. We had asked for both the Bar and Dinner Menus in case we decided to make it more than just snacks. The Bar Bites menu has a solid choice of tantalizing options. I'm not a fan of French Fries, but they made it sound so tasty, I tried them! From the Bar Bites menu we had the following: Parmesan Matchstick Fries Petite Filet Mignon Sandwiches Crab, Spinach & Artichoke Dip Mini Crab Cake BLT's Filet Mignon Trio There was a little room left for dessert, so we ended up getting some off their regular dessert menu Raspberry Soufflé Grand Mariner Soufflé Parmesan Matchstick Fries ($13 / Happy Hour: $7). A small basket tossed with truffle oil and parmesan. The fries were nice and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy potatoe on the inside. Lightly salted, and cooked nicey, how can you not be a fan? 4 stars. Petite Filet Sandwiches ($15 / HH: $8). Requested a medium rare cook and they came exactly that way! There wasn't really much to these sandwiches though, so it was a little disappointing. Served on sesame dinner rolls with some aioli but nothing else. The meat was tender, but overall the dish didn't wow me. 3 stars. Crab, Spinach & Artichoke Dip ($17 / HH: $9). Served hot with crostini. A nice creamy blend that was not too thick nor too runny. A nice combination of flavor and texture; cheesy, creamy, salty, and the crab adds an element of texture and that seafood flavor you just can't beat. There was a slight acidity to the dish which I couldn't quite finger (lemon juice?), but it complemented the artichokes well. 4 stars. Mini Crab Cake BLT's ($17 / HH: $9). Three slider sized crab cakes with lettuce and tomato (I guess the B stands for Bread or Bun and not bacon). While tiny, they were quite delicious. New England style with blue crab and minimal filler. I think it could have used a dressing (a remoulade, horseradish cream, chipotle mayo, roasted pepper coulis, curry aioli, or even a mango purée) but it was still pretty good. 3 stars. Filet Mignon Trio ($16 / HH: $9). Three open faced, naked sliders served with three different sauces. Once again, the cook was perfect to the medium rare we ordered. The sauces were a Blue Cheese Butter, a Sauce au Poivre, and the classic Béarnaise. From subtle to powerful, these sauces were the perfect complement to these nicely charred cuties. 4 stars. Raspberry and Grand Mariner Soufflé ($12 each). These are individual size soufflés but are perfect for sharing if you just want a taste. Soufflés are somewhat an art, and we were really interested in seeing if they would appear at our table before the air escaped. The first one arrived beautifully, but the 2nd one trailed and deflated by the time it arrived (it didn't matter, I was too slow with the camera and lost the moment anyway... next time...). These were beautifully made, the top was crispy and the inside was so light and fluffy, magnifique! Beautifully airy with a light lingering sweetness to finish. Both were winners, but if I had to choose one, I'd go with the Grand Mariner all day long! 4 stars. Overall, kind of mixed feelings... Flavors were lacking on the one side, but the execution of the cook, well let's just say the Chef has skills! In the end, I'm still a fan. 4 stars. If you would like to experience more, come dine-with-me.yelp.com I'd love to have your company... Bon Appétit!

Yelp
So Morton's is my favorite steakhouse. I always order the Bone-in Ribeye with truffle butter. My steak is always a perfect medium and super flavorful. They have the best lobster Mac, very generous with the lobster. Service is always fast and staff are very friendly.

Yelp
An amazing upscale restaurant in the area, Morton's offers a stellar dining experience. All employees are friendly and treat you like the most important person in the room. The food is outstanding - some of the best lobster I've ever had. They also offer a large variety of cocktails and hand crafted drinks. The steaks are cooked to perfection, and one of my favorite sides is the truffle fries - not too overpowering (truffle) and a huge portion! The interior decor is welcoming and the lights are dim which are necessary for an upscale steakhouse. Morton's has a beautiful bar area and also offers a private dining room. You can also easily see the kitchen and chefs prepare your mouth-watering dining selections. I recently came here to celebrate a very special anniversary, and for the occasion, they offered us a complimentary dessert, any dessert on the menu! They also had customized menus for us to celebrate our special day. Morton's is part of the Landry Group (of restaurants), which offers a loyalty card. You pay $25 for the card/membership, however on your next visit to one of their restaurants, you will receive that $25 back as a credit on your receipt. Every 250 points gets you a dining reward - I recommend signing up for this loyalty program!

Yelp
Bowsers least favorite kids steakhouse is pretty good. Got to the castle level and beat the game with one life. Level nine was wack! But good steak and wine selection

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised we were able to get a last minute table on a Saturday night. We hadn't been here in years and decided to give it a try again. Service was fantastic. Our server was very friendly, and took care of the issues we had with our food and was very nice about it. Assistant servers were extremely attentive, waters constantly kept to the rim, plates cleared timely but not so that you would feel rushed. One thing that has changed from years ago is the waiter doesn't bring out the cart of meat with the samples of meat wrapped in cellophane to explain and show the different cuts they have. Just an observation and not a big deal. Menu is all a la carte as is with all restaurants these days. There were a few mishaps with the food but our waitress was very nice about it. We ordered lobster bisque which had small, bite size lobster the middle but the soup itself tasted as though there was only cream in it topped off with a little brandy. No taste at all, like it was missing the stock and seasoning. The waitress immediately took it back and we ordered the french onion soup. It was a vast improvement because it tasted like a soup should-flavorful. One of the entrees we ordered was the chopped salad since our waitress said it would be enough as an entree. Far from it. It was more like a small appetizer size salad. The other entree was the ribeye steak and added an upgrade - truffle butter. The steak was large, juicy, and thick but not great tasting. Truffle butter (which an extra charge of $6) tasted like plain butter, and was not fully melted in the little serving boat it came in. Our waitress took it back and provided another one - still tasted the same to me. Also ordered the horseradish mashed potatoes- very good, creamy with the horseradish zing. Although service and atmosphere was great, it was an expensive meal with a lot of issues food-wise.

Yelp
Went there for TRW in March 2017, and that was the worst high end steak we've had. Far below Capital grill. The overall experience was also not at the high level. The service was definitely just trying to get us ours food, pay and go. We were sited almost 20 minutes after our reservation time. The bread was very good, but you don't come to steakhouses for bread. C'mon! The five onion soup so so small, that I could barely have any soup! It was all just cheese and bread. Filet mignon was ok, but that was definitely not dry aged, just an average steak. Mashed potatoes were ok, so were broccoli florets. What can you really expect from broccoli? Key lime pie and cheesecake again just ok. That was our first and last visit at morton's. For the same price you can get a better steak and service.

Yelp
Ok let's start with the food, we ordered the lobster bisque, two different ribeyes with compound butter and the sour cream mashed potatoes. The lobster bisque was probably the best I've ever had and at 13 a bowl the best value at the restaurant. The steaks, i had a bone in ribeye that was very tender but could've had more seasoning at $70 for a steak it better knock my socks off.... My socks stayed on. Also I feel like my steak wasn't 20 Oz closer to 13 I still had plenty of room after the steak. Even accounting for the weight of the bone. I wish I bought a scale or sent it back. The mash had no flavor or love in it at all, unlike the service which was attentive. The atmosphere is what you pay for, very low key very classy. I eat at places for the food not fit the mood though, so I doubt I'll come back.
