What a cute little gem in Williamsburg, great cocktails especially the high life spritz! Pizza was banging and after 10 pm during the week it’s $1 slices! Great for a date night, really loved the spot. Super cozy

Boisterous and almost unbearably loud at 2pm with young people drinking - this definitely feels more like a bar than a restaurant these days. That said, I feel the food is better than ever, and they’re putting a lot of effort into making it a worthwhile place to eat. We had a sausage and broccoli rabe bar pie and I will honestly look forward to coming back here for some others. Tasty, well made, fresh. The service also was A+. When I’m in more of a party mood I’ll be back for some happy hour drinks and pizza for sure!

A super cosy & lovely neighborhood gem. Lovely staff, great location. Yummy pizza! The Salad is HUGE (couldn’t finish all by myself) - nice salad although the dressing is missing something. Otherwise, great! Good selection of drinks too

I feel this place is hit or miss. Cute place, decent enough service. The mozz sticks and caeser salad. Both were great. Broccoli rabe and sausage bar lie was very good. Individual slices came out burnt. The vanilla olive oil gelatto pales in comparison to L’Industry. Good but not worth going out of the way for.

The pizza was greasier than my hair after not showering for a week I got a square pep pizza for takeout with a couple others so we could eat it in a park. All the ingredients tasted cheap. The ultra thick layer of cheese dried out in a few minutes and was so bad I had to peel it off. Absolutely not the place for takeout pizza. Not even to mention $32 for the itty-bitty size.

The first two we chose and were super pleased with (the third we let the cashier chose and we weren't as thrilled with). The crust, especially at the end, is substantial. The cheese is delicious. And the flavoring for the first two was excellent. We didn't love the pepperoni, as this was a bit salty. The restaurant itself is interesting. There are some indoor/outdoor spots to sit in. However, there is a window to specifically order to go pizza which I think is a necessity for the area. Took about 10 minutes for the slices to be made and then we easily walked away, which is a nice conclusion to any night in the area!

Fast service outside. Very chill and sweet staff. 10/10 would come back for more pizza. We ordered the Hawaiian, BBQ, which were great! Thanks again 😍

I came here for slices to go. They have indoor seating, including a few stools at the bar, as well as outdoor tables. It was pretty empty on a Sunday around 4pm. Service was fast. I loved their vodka slice. The dough was fluffy. The sauce was smoky. It was sprinkled with parmesan cheese for some added flavor. Great overall, but a little small for $6 a slice.

Don't sleep on this place! My boyfriend and I walked in at around 6:30 PM on a Friday and there was no wait, though it quickly filled up. We ordered: + Frozen painkiller + Golden hour + Dark and stormy + Little gem Caesar + Pepperoni and banana pepper bar pie + Vodka with sesame seeds slice The frozen drink was my favorite cocktail, though they were all fantastic. Caesar and pepperoni pie were perfect. The crust on the vodka slice was amazing, though the toppings weren't as good as the pepperoni. Love that you can order slices AND whole pies while dining in!

Absolutely loved this place!! The decor inside is a mix of old school Italian but chic and modern vibes. All the servers were so friendly, attentive, and helpful. We came for the happy hour and absolutely loved our drinks. We also had slices of pizza and the Cesar salad - both veryyy yum!! Already wanting to go back here.

Had really crispy, doughy and savory pizzas here at Mo's! Great little pizza restaurant for a casual meal with friends. Their larger size pizzas are shareable among 2-3 people even though it looks small. Both the standard circle and silician pies are worth trying as the ingredients are very fresh. Friendly staff as well. Would come back again!

Killer $10 happy hour till 6pm every day. Can you beat that? Wanted to give their pizza a shot - not my typical style but, looked good from the pictures I've seen and plus, we were hungry and Mo's is located on a great little corner. Ordered a bar pie with broccoli rabe and sausage on it. Was good but needed a little salt in my opinion - not necessarily a bad thing. We also ordered a Cesar salad that was tasty and bigger than expected. Back to that happy hour - between the two of us, we ordered a few Aperol Spritz's and a margarita. Now, this I must tell you, the margarita was hand crafted, not batched for Happy Hour. They used solid ingredients which for a $10 Happy Hour margarita is pretty impressive. They have a small and cozy indoor space if you choose to dine indoors, otherwise, their outdoor space has ample seating for a a few cocktails, some food and great people watching.

My coworkers and I came here for a work event as per recommendations of one of our attending because he has been a regular here since they have opened. The place itself is small but still enough space for all of us and they had cute checkered table clothes for all the tables. They have a good variety of drink options and their focus is their pizza. All the staff was super attentive and kind and all our food and drinks came out in a super timely manner. For drinks I got the moscow mule which was really good - the ginger beer is pretty strong in the drink so if you are not a fan of ginger beer then I would avoid this. Some of my coworkers got the pain killer which was pretty good if you are a fan of rum. For food - we got the caesar salad, mozzarella sticks and buffalo wings - they were all delicious. For the pizza (personally, I am a new york pizza girl) but they were all great. We got the hawaiian which was delicious but my favorite was definitely the white pizza. The crust for all of them were so crispy and the white pizza was definitely a fan favorite. Overall - great vibes, highly recommend checking this place out if you are in the area!

My wife and a few of our friends decided to enjoy the first day of sunshine in weeks by planning a Williamsburg pizza tour. We started at Mos and it was hard to top! What a cute little corner restaurant with lots of sunlight and classic checkered tablecloths. Apparently there's happy hour every day until 6pm so we started our day with delicious cocktails. I had a nice spicy margarita and my wife had a refreshing aperol spritz. For pizza, we only ordered 3 square slices, but when the server heard we were doing a crawl, she brought out an extra 3 for us to try. So kind of our server! They were all delicious, with an airy chewy dough and caramelized cheese on the edge pieces. We also heard rave reviews re their Caesar salad and it did not disappoint! Every piece of lettuce was well coated with dressing and it felt pretty light. Loved their homemade croutons which had a nice chewy texture. Will definitely be back!

Visiting NYC (where we used to live), we had the pleasure of eating at Mo's General. Everything we ordered was delicious, but.... that square, thick crust pizza had to be one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Nothing else like it. Been back in California for two months, and I'm still thinking about it. Cool place, with a fun atmosphere and great service. Go and enjoy.

Great local bar for pizza and provisions. Order the mozz sticks and ask for a bartender special (they specialize in rum cocktails). Limited inside seating and excellent pizza on a quiet block on Lorimer this is a perfect end of the night spot or a bite on the way out.

Decided to give Mo's General another try (tried for the first time last year) during a self guided pizza tour in BK, and so glad we did! I am not sure what changed, but this was absolutely the best slices we had all night (and maybe even top 3 for Detroit style we've had in NYC). My partner and I ended up getting two slices - one pepperoni and one white slice with mushrooms. Both were divine (and the cheese + pepperoni crisped up perfectly). We also each had a NASCAR spritz to accompany - which was a fun addition to our meal. The service was also fantastic - our waitress (Bri I think) was very patient and accomodating. We didn't realize they were closing soon when we walked in (thought closed at 11 vs 10), and we didn't feel rushed at all. While I am sad to see the puppy stickers / pictures go from the bathroom, the up leveling of quality and tastiness of the pizza is definitely a welcomed change! We will be back!

I love their bar pizza. If you know what bar pizza is and you like it, then you'll like this. Service can be a little slow but that's because there are so many people who like this pizza and are also waiting for their order. :) it's a good sign that you have to wait. Haven't been inside in awhile since there's a pickup window. There is lots of covered outdoor seating with music playing. The vibe is nice. Did I mention I love this pizza? I would say one bar pizza is equivalent to a full meal for two people. They're small but mighty.

Ordered 2 pepperoni square pies. The pizza sauce a tangy garlic taste. I wish there was more of it too. The crust was fluffy and taste or sourdough. It reminds me of focaccia. They put more than enough pepperonis on each slice. A good mix of mozzarella and Parmesan topped with basil. Definitely will order again.

The pizza was very crispy yet doughy at the same time. The buffalo slice was very flavorful and I liked the addition of the yellow pepper, but I think I preferred the cheese. The service was great and there was plentiful outdoor seating. It was however a bit more expensive than other slices in the area and not my personal favorite.

Cozy bar and pizzeria. We came on a Saturday night and were seated immediately. I had a mezcal based cocktail with apple and cinnamon. I'm not usually one for cocktails, but this was fantastic. We shared a vodka slice and a pepperoni slice. Service was quick and friendly.

This place has really solid pizza and other bites - I've tried their bar pies as well as their Detroit style pizza, which I prefer out of the two options. I especially love that they have pepperoni cups here vs the traditional option. 10/10 Caesar salad too! Really good portion and they do not skimp on the cheese. They usually run a bogo special on UberEats which makes most things a steal.

When I tell you, that is the best pepperoni pizza I've ever had in my life.... The sauce, the cheese and the pepporonis.. it's absolutely insane. I'm from la and I wish I could eat this pizza everyday.

Walked in at opening and had the best choice for seating possible. Immediately greeted by the bar tender and waiter staff. They were all very personable and all smiles. Happy staffing always makes for a better experience in my opinion. The decor inside is really modern and artistically unique. Music was a little loud at the bar but at a table you can sit down and talk to your friends easily. The chicken Parmesan sandwich was perfectly crispy and hot with melty cheese and sauce. The mozzarella sticks were delicious, didn't expect anything less for those. The pepperoni pizza was really great. Had the perfect pepperoni size, the crust was light and fluffy yet crispy on the edges. Cheese was very tasty and had a great proportion with ingredients being spread on the pizza itself. 100% will be returning for other cocktails and pizza styles on the menu. They make a really good old fashioned and Negroni. It's not exactly my favorite place but I'll say it's part of my top ten in Brooklyn. I will highly recommend this place to anyone in this area asking for good pizza :)

Good place to get a nice thick slice of crispy pizza. Each square slice packs a punch of flavor. There pepperoni slice is the best! As an avid support for the thin and floppy variety, this slice is a good alternative if you are looking to get a little frisky. Highly recommended checking it out or ordering delivery from Mo's!

Everything is phenomenal, HOWEVER.... I can't believe no one is talking about how absolutely, undeniably perfect the mozzarella sticks are. I wish I took a picture, but they went too fast.

The pizza here is great, but is much thicker than your typical New York slice and much closer to the thickness and shape (square) of a Detroit slice. I don't see them billing themselves as such, but I can't shake that simply calling it pizza while in Brooklyn is a little misleading. Similarly there is a menu item called "fried cheese" that sounded intriguing to me but turned out to simply be mozzarella sticks. Still, everything I had was quite tasty I couldn't be mad while enjoying this food sitting in their outdoor bungalow on a sunny day. We visited the week after they opened for business and ordered from their little takeout window. The food came out pretty quickly and everything looked and tasted really fresh. I particularly loved the basil leaves on my slice and how the depth of flavor in the sauce it was. Even though the pizza was much thicker than I was expecting, I really liked the doughiness of it, and tried to justify the nearly $7 we paid per slice. The "fried cheese" was topped with a generous shaving of parmesan and I will say the breading was a step up from your average mozzarella sticks. They also have sandwiches, coffee, pastries, and salad, so it's a well rounded spot to get your fix of some Italian classics.

Stumbled in here with my partner craving some cheesy goodness and were going to order pizza... but the mozzarella sticks were calling us instead. Generous portion, large size and good flavor, you can tell they're made in house! Cocktails were both also delicious. Great spot and would recommend to others.

Been here a few times now and it remains my top favorite pizza shop of all time. The pizza is near perfect and go out of my way to come here now.

My bf and I went on a Brooklyn pizza tour and tried pizza from 9 different places. We agreed that Mo's General was either #1 or #2. The pepperoni slice with added honey and chili was incredible! It was absolutely delicious, but expensive. $7.62 for a slice which is why this may be #2 on the list. The pizza was so elevated And wow I will 10000%%% be coming back here when I am back in Williamsburg. It was beautiful inside as well. Loved the decor and lighting. Very cute spot with indoor and outdoor dining.

Mo's is the best. Epitome of a local neighborhood spot. Super comfortable place, great people working there, good food. You won't ever leave wishing you'd picked a different spot for the night

This review is specific to the "bar pie". I never got the chance to check this place out in it's initial incarnation focusing on square slices w a sideline as a fancy grocer. I was very intrigued to see the the place did a renovation/reboot and was now supposedly additionally focusing on east coast bar pie, a super niche style of pizza that is especially close to my heart, and tends to exist generally on the periphery of the Metro area as opposed to the heart of the 5 boroughs. Unfortunately, what they are peddling as bar pie is not anything remotely resembling real bar pie. What they are actually serving is akin to a small or personal sized pie at an average neighborhood NYC pizzeria. While actual bar pie has an impossibly thin, cracker like crust, these pies, have a crust actually thicker and more heavily starched consistency than a regular full sized NY style pie on account of it's smaller size. Any real bar pie head like myself who comes here will be minimally very disappointed and potentially enraged. For for any folks reading this unfamiliar with East Coast Bar pie but interested in checking out the bests of the genuine article, I would recommend venturing out to NJ to check out Star Tavern, or Stamford CT and checking out the original Colony Grill, or taking a trip out to my homeland of Long Island and checking out my fathers all time favorite, Eddie's pizza in New Hyde Park, just over the Queens border. Definitely think this place should look into reformulating it's recipe and produce a more authentic bar pie as I think that a spot serving authentic East Coast Bar Pie in the prime neighborhoods of NYC is shockingly lacking in NYC's pizza landscape. Unfortunately, as the kids say, this ain't it.......

This is a very cute neighborhood spot! Came out here with some friends and being for the Bay Area, the pizza definitely had a flavor that I just can't seem to find back home! On this visit, I got try the traditional cheese slice and the white pizza slice, plus on order of fried mozzarella. The fried mozzarella was delicious, I mean it's fried cheese sticks, really hard to mess up, but these were massive, garnished, and filling! For the cheese slice, I thought the flavor was pretty good. The edges were crispy, had plenty of cheese, and the sauce had a good tang to it. The white slice came with some veggies on it, although I wish this one had a lil bit more flavor to it. If you are fan of square slices, and lean more toward dough heavy pizza, then you'll probably enjoy this spot. Overall a very solid slice, glad I was able to try this spot while visiting Brooklyn. Slices will run you anywhere from $4-6. I'd say one slice is good, two slices you'll be stuffed. Being a bright and warm Fall day, we were able to find a table in the outdoor dining area. We ordered from their takeout window and the food came about in under 10 minutes. They also serve coffee and pastries, if you are looking for something grab n go!

Great new neighborhood spot serving coffee and pastries in the morning followed by pizza and more in the afternoon through dinner. The pizza is just squares available by the slice currently in a few varieties (red, cheese, pepperoni, white and BBQ). The pepperoni and white were faves so far, but I'm excited to go back once the menu expands with sandwiches, salads and more.

It's very sourdough forward, so if you don't like that, you're outta luck here. The bar pie isn't really a bar pie like someone else mentioned here. All that being said, it's pretty tasty and probably in my top 20 pizza joints.

Stopped at Mo's on a whim Thursday evening. The food was phenomenal, but the shining star was our server, Ricardo. We took all his suggestions and were blown away by how great his choices were and by his warm, welcoming demeanor. Will definitely be back and recommend to all my friends simply because of Ricardo's outstanding service and impeccable taste. Thanks so much!

I didn't have any pizza but will update my review if I ever try it. I got the meatball sandwich, garlic knots and apple pie slice Meatball sandwich 2/5 - for 14 bucks I expected a bigger sandwich (I failed to pay attention to the picture) but it was no bigger than a standard fast food burger, the meatballs had been pressed into a patty that was dry. It lacked enough marinara sauce as well which contributed to the dryness Garlic knots 3/5 , these were interesting, deep fried dough balls dusted with Parmesan cheese. They were super oily though, but like I said an interesting departure from regular garlic knots. Apple pie slice 5/5 - this was delicious, not much else needs to be said lol

Amazing food and service! Loved the pizza and the Caesar salad was so good. Kevin was an amazing server and the ambiance was so fun. Will definitely be coming back!

Ya gotta go to Mo's! I've been itching to come here now for over a year, since they first opened and the place did not disappoint. Was surprised to see a nice sit down area and waiter service. I opted to take mine to go, grabbed a roni square and chicken parm hero, both outta sight. The square was nice and fluff, crispy and copious amounts of cheese. Sauce was A+ also, kicking myself in the butt for not grabbing a few more, or better yet, a pie! Loved the chicken parm to pieces, also. Nicely fried think chicken breast, mozzarella, dash of sauce and some ricotta. Big fan of it all and definitely a few repeat trips in the future.

Bread lovers - this is the best pizza in NYC. Pizza on focaccia? Genius! I even left at the end of the night with a free loaf of focaccia! Mo's is a neighborhood gem, with team members who really care.

place is going down hill fast. we received an order the other day with both pizzas burnt to a crisp. like chip your tooth burnt. no place to call, only an email. sucks

This place has AMAZING pizza, always crisp hot and fresh with a unique ratio of crust/sauce/cheese/topping that amounts to perfection in my book. The service is excellent, friendly and accommodating. If you have a sweet tooth like I do, you might have a hard time deciding what to get for dessert. I recommend the apple pie (served hot and crisp like the pizza) and then I usually grab a double chocolate chip cookie or two "to go" for later. I have lived around the corner for 20 years and am so happy that this place is my new-ish neighbor:-)

Very yummy pizza and great spot for cute date night as the vibes are great :) only qualm was I wish there was a little more sauce on the chicken parm sandwich. Would probably skip it all together next time and opt for their awesome slices! Pepperoni is a must try!

This place does everything right. Great food, beer/wine/cocktail list, and people. You can't go wrong... But get the pepperoni pie (add hot honey duh), the potato wedges, and 620 Lorimer. Oh and they're beyond dog friendly with a great patio to watch the world go by

I really enjoy the thoughtfulness of Mo's General. It's one part general store, one part pizza place, one part cafe/bakery. I'll say though, the Pizza tastes almost too healthy for my taste which is why I'm only giving it 4 stars instead of 5. When I get a BBQ pizza I want it to be saccharine with the sharp cut of red onions. This just didn't hit it for me. That said they have the BEST eggplant parm that I've ever had. Their pumpkin muffin is great. Blueberry banana bread is fairly great but again missing that sweet edge I love in a baked good. But I appreciate what they're doing. And I really think they're an amazing addition to Williamsburg.

Pizza is just the best. If you start out with That presumption then you will love Mo's The square pies are as close to perfection as you will find if like That quasi Detroit style. The crust is In fact , perfect The surprise were the round bar pies Which must be tried . Fantastic But an even bigger surprise was the Greek salad , not a food that one would Think a pizza restaurant would deliver So perfectly By pure accident I had a brief conversation with one of the owners And he could not have been more gracious Located in the now famous Williamsburg Pizza corridor, Mo's is just outstanding

The pizza was fantastic. Square slice with a perfect amount of crisp. The shop is very nice inside with a selection of groceries. They also sell coffee and sandwiches. There is an outdoor window for the people eating in the outdoor structure or taking their food/drinks to go.

I created a Yelp account just to give this place 5 Stars. I walk past this place on my way to work everyday and I have admired seeing their vision come to life. I visited today for the first time and so stoked I did. I went with the BBQ pizza, lemon loaf and cold brew. The chef heard me debating between BBQ and the White so he ended bringing out both because the white was his favorite... WOW he wasn't wrong. Both were insanely good. Brought home half so my roommate could try and he is currently putting on his shoes to go get a slice. Honestly haven't had anything like it. And the lemon loaf and cold brew were super killer as well! If you're a neighbor like me or just visiting the area, you HAVE to stop by this place!
