"The restaurant-packed Mosaic District, which also houses Brine and Iron Chef House, welcomed SoCal import Poke Bar this summer. The Merrifield neighborhood also houses another hot pot destination nearby: Uncle Liu’s Hot Pot." - Tierney Plumb

Always a great place to shop and dine. Fair warning, parking and crowds never fun so expect a wait if you're dining but overall great place.

The area is a bustling hub of activity, featuring a wide array of stores ranging from popular retail chains to unique local boutiques. Its spacious layout includes multiple levels, with a vibrant food court offering diverse dining options and cozy seating areas for relaxation. The atmosphere is lively, filled with the sounds of shoppers and the enticing aroma of food, making it a perfect place for both shopping and socializing.

What a charming area. I wish I would have visited when the Christmas tree was lit up. Everything is so close. I go to Mom's and I go to Target. Just walking around is very relaxing. Restaurants and eateries are wonderful.

Beautiful place to come out with friends and family. The aesthetic of this area is so beautiful to sight see. There is lots of different restaurants to try out and parking is always free which makes it super easy to drop by and enjoy yourself without worrying about your car. Park at the Target! And enjoy yoursefl.

Google
Great location that many hotel shuttles will go to. We had fun walking the streets looking for just the right restaurant. So many cool places to stop at and more to enjoy a cocktail or cold beer while watching your kids play. Many hotel shuttles will get you here as well. Everything was very clean and orderly. We will visit again.

The Mosaic District is an urban-style shopping area between Fairfax and Falls Church in Merrifield, Fairfax, Virginia. This area includes apartments, offices, retail shops, restaurants, dessert places, the Angelika Film Center, Target, West Elm, Barnes and Noble, Mom's Organic Market, Archer Hotel, parking garages, and more. Additionally, there is a FRESHFARM Farmers Market on District Avenue and Strawberry Lane every Sunday year-round. This makes it a tourist attraction and one of the places locals visit regularly.

Google
This small neighborhood contains just a few blocks in Merrifield. The center of it is certainly the Angelika cinema center. The largest spot is maybe the Target, which you might want to aim for with your navigation app to find a spot to park. But the artistic spirit of this place comes from the many artsy and extraordinary small shops you find here a lot. And of course by the Angelika which presents so much more then the present mainstream.

The food was good... Not great. The atmosphere was nice and casual and chill. Lighting and ambiance were good. Not inexpensive. It was quaint and tasty. The cook was new so there were some mishaps with our food but our waitress was great and took care of things quickly. My food was bland even after I added a bunch of things to the order... The flavor was just... Flat. It had been suggested that the flavors wouldn't be strong in the dish which was why I asked for additional ingredients, but the base was just not that flavorful.

Yelp
Updated review...8 years later and now I live here, lol! Looking back on my first review, I was very, very anti-Mosaic. What can I say...it's nice to go outside and not have to travel far to get here. It's nice when my friends want to get together and want to hang out right here. The farmers market is very nice to check out as well as the seasonal festivals. So many restaurants to chose from. Over the years I've tried CAVA, Urbano, Falafel Inc, (those 3 are my faves), True Food Kitchen, MacMillan Whiskey Room, Caboose Commons, Sheesh Grill for kabobs, Mom & Pop, Parc de Ville, Matchbox, Jinya Ramen Bar, Shake Shack, Panera, Nando's Peri Peri, Teds Bulletin and Bar Taco, last two being my least faves. So many places to shop at, but I'm on a minimalist kick. I've only shopped at Target a few times, not Bloomies, lol! What I absolutely love is the outdoor open green area. They show outdoor movies and major sporting events like the olympics and world cupss on the huge outdoor screen and offer yoga classes during the warmer months. On the weekends they often block off traffic so pedestrians can stroll and relax, and have live bands on a stage, but I always seem to miss them because I don't keep up with the schedule. Since my initial review years ago, the Mosaic area has definitely grown on me. Still very cookie cutter and lacks authentic artistic vibes, but I guess this is not NYC. The tacky thing about this area are the mindless individuals that rev their car engines and create noise pollution and make all sorts of vroom, vroom, vroom noises with their cars at all hours of the night when youre trying to sleep. We don't care what sort of car you drive nor the engine you have. That's my only rant. What I love, taking walks at night, enjoying all the lights, and enjoying the nice weather and sitting outdoors to just relax here. There's a lot of outdoor seating areas spread out all over. I guess it's a pretty cool area. It's home for now!

Yelp
I love the mosaic district. It's pretty cool. I have to say I love it more in warmer seasons but love it still the same. It's a walkable area that kind of reminds me of Savannah. How, you ask? Although there's no cobblestone street and river views, you can pop in and out of eateries, and happy hours with your adult beverages. As long as you stay within the district lines (which are marked with signs) it's a fun place to hang and relax with friends. There's a huge green space with outdoor movie screen that usually broadcasts movies or big games on screen. There's life size chest and checkers and water features kids are always taking in. There's all kinds of shopping venues and services available to choose from. It's a really nice place to call home. There's a farmers market every Saturday and Sunday and other cool happenings that can be found via their website. Check it out. My only negative is while there's security patrolling they never stop smokers from sitting in front of businesses smoking. The rule is you're supposed to be in a designated area. People openly smoke everywhere which ruins it for me. Please enforce rules. I've never seen security do anything.overall great planned community.

Yelp
Love it here! It's not that far and an easy drive. I usually park at Target. It's free. A lot of events happen here. Recently I went to Filofest. It was hot! They had a splash pad. They have Rasa, I forgot the name of the Gelato place but they are good! Lululemon. Sisters! They also have farmers market, it's expensive for what you get. So much to do here!

Rebecca C.

Yelp
Enjoyed another Sunday at the market. If you're from the DMV, and haven't spent a Sunday in the mosaic district are severely missing out. My family and I love spending the Sunday before our long drive home enjoying the amazing business in this area. There's so many business embedded in this area, not to mention the ones that come on market day. Enjoy some coffee from Mom and Pop, and walk around! (Also Uber eats now uses robots to deliver food in this area)

Yelp
This is a great place in Fairfax to come by and visit. My office is nearby and everyone walks down here for their lunch break. It is a huge shopping area filled with stores, restaurants, and entertainment. There is a huge screen in the park area where they show games, movies, etc. There are several options here to enjoy your day. I usually stop by the Target to pick up some things and then move forward form there. Over the years this area has been changing. There are new stores popping up every month. You can easily spend your money here without thinking about it. I like to go to the Mom and Pop Coffee shop in the morning to pick up breakfast. The coffee there is amazing. My favorite places for dinner are Sisters Cafe and Rasa for good Indian food. Bartaco and the Colada Shop are great for Spanish food and drinks. In the evening there are long lines at Dolcezza Gelato. This seems to be a great location for younger kids and families. Most nights there are large groups of people hanging out, playing games, going out to eat, etc. The weekends are a little more exciting. It is a treat exploring this place when I need a little getaway from the craziness of the DC area.

Rebecca F.

Yelp
Very cool outdoor mixed used area. They have a wide variety of restaurants, stores, salons, a movie theater, & a big common area. On Sundays they have a farmers market & sometimes there's live music, as there was today! Cool place to come & visit, okay or shop no matte what season it is!

Jodie C.

Yelp
Great place to spend the day, no matter the weather. Great shopping and great eating. Glad they offer seating outside and not just at restaurants. It's helpful when waiting on a friend or when someone in your group chooses to opt out on a store. Sidewalks are wide and even. You won't break a heal on an uneven or cracked walkway and plenty of pedestrian crossings. I wouldn't try to Jay walk here. Streets were pretty busy when I went. The air smelled of great food and lots of free parking. Gotta love that!

Mike R.

Yelp
The big screen television is pretty neat. Do I love True Food? Heck yes! Teds Bulletin is sweet also. A quirky but fun date restaurant is Bartaco. This is a neat way to try, what I consider to be the best meal of all. It's Taco Tuesday no matter the day. There's a good big chair to relax in, and the skating rink is something different. Parking is a nightmare. I wish you luck. This needs to be improved upon. Also a lot of people in a small area, so please be wary of pedestrians jumping out at any time and place. With that being said, the Archer Hotel and Angelika Theater are stunning venues. There's a lot to like here, but definitely make reservations to any of the restaurants.

Geordie K.

Yelp
Took an hour to park because the garages were completely full and there were no signs saying so. The corners in the first garage were so tight that people were having to back up to let all the people who turned around at the top level back out. There were hundreds of residents only empty spaces though.

Pam D.

Yelp
Phildayfest was the first cultural festival at the Mosaic District, and this event celebrated Philippine Independence Day! Filipinos know how to feed people, and everything we had was fantastic. There were vendors with fun merchandise, live music and entertainment, dancing, and a large kid's play area. I hope Mosaic District has more cultural events!

Kay P.

Yelp
Love this area! Plenty to eat, shop, and such a cute place to hang out and chat outside when the weather permits Extremely prime location by the Vienna metro station, and close to Tysons as well! They also have a few places to drink -- notably the MacMillan Whisky room is a hushed room with unique live music playing (at times) and is always bustling indoors! Great places to eat including True Food Kitchen, Our Mom Eugenia, Gyu Shige, and Sister's Thai! They also have select movies playing at the theater with comfy, clean seats! Would recommend 8/10 to check out, hang out, and eat out!

Yelp
Best place to go to l live in mosaic so i go there 24/7 best service and a Starbucks and listen to riptide

Yelp
Mosaic local here to give you all the tips and tricks. First off, I LOVE living walking distance to Mosaic. -Farmers Market: A year-round gem open on Sundays from April to December, operating from 9 am to 2 pm, and from January to March, open from 10 am to 2 pm. This market is a constant highlight for me. Strolling around, I often indulge in an empanada or macaron while perusing the fresh produce. -Happy Hours: Practically every bar in Mosaic features enticing happy hour deals from Monday to Friday. Urbano's happy hour tops my list--it covers both food and drinks and extends until 7 pm. Ted Bulletin's happy hour is another favorite, offering deals on their entire cocktail selection until 6:30 pm. -Lil' Treat: For fantastic and innovative ice cream flavors, don't miss Mimi's ice cream. They've just opened, and I've already tried six flavors. My top picks are the coffee Oreo and cinnamon crunch. Dolcezza Gelato is also a fantastic spot for a sweet treat. -Beer: Bside is my ultimate go-to for draft beer and a diverse selection of cans to take home. Meanwhile, Caboose stands out as the sole brewery in Mosaic, offering an expansive range from coffee to beer to cocktails, catering to everyone's tastes. -Free Events: Mosaic is renowned for its array of free events, from outdoor workout classes on the lawn during pleasant weather to festivals featuring live music and free movies shown on the lawn. -Remote Work: Mosaic provides designated spots for remote working where you can reserve a seat for free and enjoy the complimentary Wi-Fi. Collada Shop, Mom's Coffee, and various other spots in Mosaic also welcome remote workers. Overall, Mosaic is Fairfax's shining star. 10/10

Rebecca F.

Yelp
This is a great shopping/restaurant/events spot. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and services. Plus, there are often events that happen on the fake lawn in the center of it all. It certainly can be hectic at times. Last time I went there was a pop roller skating rink where you can rent a pair of skates and roll around the outdoor rink. They also have two outdoor ping-pong tables set up. You just need to bring your own paddle and balls. Check out my pics and their website for the current list of businesses. All the shops and services are on the pricier side. Though the price of restaurants range from $10 - $100+ for a meal. Luckily there is plenty of parking between the street parking and the garages. Though you have to be really lucky to snag a street parking spot. I usually just park at the Target garage. The place is well maintained. Sometimes like to come here just to walk around.

Rumit P.

Yelp
I love Mosaic District! It's got an upscale vibe with so many boutique stores and eateries both pricey and not and shoppping (including Target) and it's super clean and there's lots of places to take photos and just linger and hang out and people-watch. Parking is free in all of the garages, which is awesome.

Chandler D.

Yelp
I love Mosaic! They have a great selection of stores and restaurants to choose from! On Sundays they have a farmers market from 9am-2pm.

Emma Z.

Yelp
Mosaic has added additional barriers to traffic within the main drag since my last review in 2019. This is fantastic. There's more space for pedestrians--especially people wanting to appropriately social distance when hanging out here. Still plenty of great stores and restaurants, many of which are offering to-go options. And there are lots of Poké stops if you play Pokémon go! I hope people keep shopping here because it's a neighborhood gem and great place to social (in a safe way).

Yelp
9/9/21 One of the last times I was at The Mosaic Center with my wife, we had an annoying experience.    My wife and I had see. The Black Widow movie, then walked around the flea market that was going on.  It was a hot day and we decided we wanted to rest for a while. We saw three chairs by the target entrance in the shade and two were empty.   Sitting out of the sun, we had an outstanding view of The Mosaic Center.  Being out of the sun, I could feel my body cooling down. I could feel myself drifting off to sleep too. Both my wife and I; as well, as the lady in the other chair were sitting there having good time.   I was nearly asleep when three Mosaic security guards came walking by.  Apparently chairs can't be placed right near the entrance.    We were all told we had to get up and move the chairs.    They weren't rude about it, but were prepared to move use if need be.  I am glad it, didn't come to that. My wife, myself and the lady sitting next to us were very annoyed. It looked to me like the security guards did not want to disturb the people, but their boss must have been watching them. The chairs were brought out into the hot sunlight by the security guards.    Our peace and quiet were interrupted so we went to Target before we went home.    I don't blame the guards for having to do their job, but the other situation I talked about earlier would have had devastating consequences. This is by far the only time I have had an unpleasant experience at the Mosaic Center.

Yurie H.

Yelp
I love coming to mosaic because there are so many stores I enjoy looking through. There's ample free parking in Target and the various garages in the area. Dolcezza, bar taco, oath pizza, colada shop, etc all have delicious foods and desserts~

Stephanie T.

Yelp
Was around the area to check out their here-for-the-summer Mosaic Skateland, so I wanted to update my review. NoVA's got some awesome 'neighborhoods' and Mosaic District surely tops the list for me. Spent some time visiting nearby businesses (there are TONS of reason to spend money here lol) and finally had a moment to whip out my laptop and get some work done. I was worried about which business would have wifi, what I'd have to order there in order to use it, and here is where Mosaic saved the day: their wifi is free, pretty accesible everywhere (including inside Playa Bowls) and is pretty fast and efficient.

Stacey L.

Yelp
I love it. Because there is so much to do. I can shoping at Target. My dining choices are plentiful, and you catch some coffee at here Also, free parking! :)

Whitney L.

Yelp
Visited the Mosaic Center for the first time yesterday and was absolutely pleased with the environment and experience. It's a beautiful area with a diverse amount of amenities, restaurants, stores, and space to relax, walk and enjoy the outdoors. Although with COVID19 still a concern, not everyone (except for the establishments) are abiding by the 6 feet apart and face masks CDC recommends. It's a bit disappointing as cases are rising and I'm concerned the community might have to go back to staying at home orders. I would love to revisit this area again sooner than later. I had dinner at Jinya and the staff did a wonderful job at staying safe and socially distanced as best as possible. The food was amazing and in my opinion, a bit tastier compared to the Rockville location. There's also a huge CVS/Target location with a parking garage attached to the building for convenience. There's also a ton of outdoor seating available and an area with a patch of green turf that resembles grass where people hang out. Some large game pieces are available to the public like Jenga and Chess for fun as well. Looking forward to coming back to visit other restaurants and Mom + Pop's coffee shop.

Jemily H.

Yelp
Love love LOVE Mosaic! Honestly could not express just how much. I find nothing to complain about, it is great for a romantic one on one date (grab food at four sisters, sisters Thai, bartaco, the list is endless! Then walk around the square, grab a bench by the turf area and stare up at the stars or people watch whatever floats your boat) great to catch up over brunch with your girlfriends, great to bring the dog, great to bring the family to run around on the turf area, great to watch a movie at the Angelika by yourself, great to compulsively shop at target....need any more reasons?? Oh Kendra Scott! Countless restaurant options, coffee&tea, shopping options, and overall a nice little area. If you venture across the street you will also find hidden gems such as Raouche café. Apartments are gorgeous and puppies GALORE.

Mischa J.

Yelp
This place is very nice. Has a lot of high-end retail and restaurants. There is even some nice mural art around. Only thing I would suggest is also adding some lower-price food options as well, a craft beer bar, and more mural art (a lot more mural art)! There can never be too much mural art around. Even though this place has some nice mural art, there is definitely room for more (including more in the parking garages). Otherwise, this is also a nice place to take photos, walk around, and have a coffee or a snack.

AJ A.

Yelp
This is a very nice and lively place with many different shops, restaurants, movie theater and little turf park for kids to enjoy. There is an option for everyone for places to eat and activities to do. It was really cool to see a bunch of people come together at around 6:30 pm on Wednesday for a yoga class on the turf field. The parking is a little tough and there is always wayyy too much traffic coming to this area. I think this place would be great to visit on Weekends or during none rush hour time but knowing nova area it's always going to be traffic. I loved seeing people from all walks of life enjoying themselves through conversation, drinks, snacks, sports, worship and other activities.

Mark N.

Yelp
Lots to like retail wise: -Northern Outfitters for outdoors gear -Mom's for grocery shopping -Williams Sonoma for kitchen gear -Target for general shopping -Then you have Bar Taco, Cheesetique, and Red Apron among the eating options+Caboose brewing for some excellent craft beer and food Downsides: -General chaos. Lots of kids running around. Getting in and out of the area can take time -There's a parking garage, but it can fill up quick. The whole parking situation will also add time to your outing

Jessica O.

Yelp
A beautiful newer center with lots of great restaurants, shopping, and apartments. There is something for everyone because of the huge variety. There are a lot of unique merchants for instance (Great Gatherings, 520 Ice cream and tea, and Cheesetique). I wish I lived here so I could spend max amount of time in Mosaic because it is so nice! The parking garage by the Panera and chipotle is usually the most packed. I have an electric car so I usually park on the ground floor under the target because they have 4 charging stations. The least crowded parking area is probably the garage close behind true foods.

Ally H.

Yelp
I really like it at Mosaic. It's super cool and has lots of fun things to do for everybody.

Matthew S.

Yelp
Reston Town Center, Del Ray, Loudoun Town Center, and now, Mosaic District. It seems more and more that these gentrified town centers are popping up in Northern Virginia. I guess now that more people are moving to the area, you have to find a way to keep them happy, right? Mosaic certainly fulfills this obligation, at really no additional cost. Parking is free and ample (though tricky in some spots), and the shops and restaurants are fair in price and value. Two of my favorite restaurants are here, like Ted's Bulletin and Sisters Thai, and you are close by enough conveniences that you will not feel any inconvenience by coming out here. Unfortunately for the type who likes public transportation (like myself) - you are not really near the Dunn Loring-Merrifield Metro stop (its quite a bit of a walk to get there), so driving is a must unless you like to Uber. Definitely come by and spend a few hours here.

Lily A.

Yelp
I love skating here, security is chill about my board. Usually pretty busy. I love the mural art and the paintings everywhere

Sean M.

Yelp
The management of this development complex continues to disappoint, despite the many great options of this town center. The shuttles will stop at corners and block traffic (see pic) despite not picking up or dropping off passengers. If you try to go around them, you risk getting into an accident as it's almost impossible to see cars turning in. I'be even had one of their shuttle drivers get out and yell after me after I honked at him to get him to move. Also, there is only one sign in the modern lower level garage that informs you of overnight towing that is near impossible to see. I've been towed without knowing since the sign is easily blocked by traffic coming out of the garage. How hard is it to put up signs on each level? I guess they have a deal with the towing company to make a little extra on the side.

Christa J.

Yelp
I was told to come to this location by many people because the Tyson's location didn't have the same positive vibe... I came in after work just to try on a few things. All the employees were super helpful and so friendly! They went out of their way to help me. I would definitely recommend this location! I will be back for sure!!

Vandad C.

Yelp
Neighborhood has kind of gone downhill since it's become so popular. I don't really mind the crowds as much as I dread seeing the packs of fifty Saudi guys who race up and down the streets every night. When they finally find a parking spot, they just chain smoke and loiter while cussing people out in Arabic. When I walk my dog in the mornings, occasionally I get to see the mosaic before the cleaning crews have had a chance to clean and it's insane the amount of trash and cigarette butts I see everywhere.

Raul G.

Yelp
Such a beautiful and modern place that gives off California vibes during the summer. Some people weren't wearing masks here so please be safe and wear a mask

Stephanie K.

Yelp
Mosiac is just a mall, only outside rather than inside. Not much shade and hot as hades in July. The same stores that are everywhere are here. The directory numbers do not match the store numbers. Certainly not a "destination" place. Stephanie Kayden

Marisol D.

Yelp
It's always a fun event when I come down this way. Cute shops and plenty to eat. Relax with the kids, watch a film, sit out on the lawn drink some coffee watching the Bboys a Bgirls dance. I enjoy coming here

Dexter P.

Yelp
Mosaic is a cool place. Too bad on nice nights a group of high-end cars drive up and down the street revving their engines so loud it scares everyone. I thought Saturday night was there was a one-off. Turns out this happens when the weather is nice. Strange times.

Yan W.

Yelp
Out of my ~500 reviews in the region, this is probably my favorite spot. Why the resounding review? Every single detail was well planned and well executed. Not only is the architecture visually appealing and modern (without being gaudy), I feel that the builders thought of every detail. Case in point - sure you an have a garage, but they have the great little digital sign (sure, it's sometimes inaccurate, but it was a good try) to tell you how many spaces are left. All of the garages have spaces that make it very convenient to park (if you can find a spot). The stores and restaurants also feel "hand-picked." On a nice day, the store fronts also "open up" like a garage door so you can sit inside and experience the outside. I love the "quirkiness" - Free yoga, a jumbotron for cartoons on Saturday mornings, a random human-sized chess set, pianos randomly placed so anyone could play with them, a random coin-op horse, random events like the DC United stopping by for a meet and greet... those are the details that make this place so special. Too bad I didn't get an invite to their yelp event (cry)...

Victor H.

Yelp
Merrifield never had a downtown back in the day. So they figured they'll just build one. Well it's certainly got all the things you could want in a shopping center. Movie theatre? Yes. Coffee shop? Yes. Department store? Yes. Restaurants? Of course! Courtyard for activities? Absolutely! Large crowds and traffic? Unfortunately. Not sure if they have any of these but laser tag, a cigar shop, bowling, and a music shop would make this awesome. If they have them already, even better. If not, call Ted Mosby and design add ons to this joint. Mosey to the Mosaic! You'll find something you're looking for!

Jenn G.

Yelp
I found myself at the Mosaic District when I ended up staying at a hotel right at the heart of this little shopping district. I have to say that I really enjoyed this place for shopping and dining. I liked walking around here and window shopping and seeing all the cute shops. Among the shops is a Neiman Marcus, anthropologie, Alex and Ani and a gigantic Target! The Target is huge and you actually have to take an escalator up to get to the main floor. I also liked how the Mosaic District has a variety of places to dine from classic chains like True Food Kitchen and Le Pain Quotidien to Virginia unique favorites like Four Sistera; there jus seemed to be food for every type of tastebud. I tried out Vietnamese cuisine at Four Sisters Restuarant, Thai cuisine at The Sisters Cafe and had coffee and pastries at Dolcezza. If I had more time during my stay or if I ever find myself again, I think I would also like to check out the Angelika Film Center. I couldn't help but notice this big movie theatre while walking around. All in all, I found Mosaic District is nice place to shop, dine and simply enjoy life.

Susana G.

Yelp
A great place to shop, eat and catch up with friends or enjoy it with the fam. I hope they expand and open more stores since this place is giving Fairfax Corner a run for their money. Parking can be a big pain, especially on weekends. I suggest parking in the garage right next to MOM Organic Supermarket. If you plan to go to Target, park in their garage but go up three levels because that tends to get full. If you're impatient and have time to visit during the week, early afternoon after lunch is the best time. Lunchtime can be hectic but it really all depends on the weather and time of year. Mosaic has a great selection of food, shopsand bars as well as a movie theater. Check your listings as their selection of movies is not like AMC. I recommend it to anyone visiting nearby or whoever just wants some time off from adulting tasks

J E.

Yelp
While in the area on a weekday morning, we stopped in for breakfast.... This place has an amazing breakfast menu! Lots of really yummy-looking main dishes on their menu for breakfast!! The items we chose were perfectly prepared and tasted amazing! Service was decent, nothing special nor over-the-top. The restaurant is interesting in how it's decorated and setup, rather nostalgic with Andy Griffith and I Love Lucy playing on the TVs throughout. Open/exposed kitchen and a "soda counter" style ice cream counter. Overall, we really liked it and would definitely return!

LaShawna S.

Yelp
This is a nice area! Lots of restaurants and shops to choose from! Many of the restaurants had patio seating as well. There's also a grassy area where couples or families can chill and bring a blanket and just "people watch"! We saw kids tossing balls around and there's also a little splash area so little ones can cool off on a hot day! There's plenty of free garage parking and attached to the garage is a huge Target! Also there's a movie theater right in the middle of everything! Looks like they are expanding the area because there were also shops and restaurants further past the theater I had never noticed before! You should visit..especially on a nice evening! :)

Chloe T.

Yelp
I absolutely adore mosaic! Lots of great food options, shopping, entertainment venues, and a cool place to just walk around and enjoy the beauty of the square. This location is a must visit when it's sunny out, especially in the summer!

Kimberly J.

Yelp
A nice area to meet up with friends. Lots of dinning options, shops, and a movie theatre. The Target parking garage is great, though it gets packed in here, we always manage to find a spot. Street parking is also available. I appreciate that parking is free. Some of my favorite places to visit at the Mosaic are: Artisan Confections (delicious chocolates), Capital Teas, Target, MOM's Organic Market, CAVA Mezze Grill, Dolcezza (delicious gelato), Matchbox, Taylor Gourmet, Sisters Thai, and Ted's Bulletin.

Jessica E.

Yelp
Love! I came a few months ago, and I loved this place, and I finally dragged my family back. The one thing I kept comparing it to with my husband was a cooler, newer, bigger Reston Town Center. Lots of outside seating, fun restaurants, cute little boutiques, and freaking Target!! If anything has a Target, I'm in! We walked around for awhile before grabbing a bite to eat, but I sort of regret not grabbing some snacks from Target and chilling in the AstroTurf by the movie theater screen and just eating a little picnic lunch there. A saw several people doing that, and I think it would have been fun. I think it was poor planning to not include some kind of small jungle gym, tot lot, or playground. There was TONS of families here. A little area to play would have been appreciated. Maybe there is one, and I just missed it? I don't know! I'll have to go back and visit again. This is an awesome place for spring and fall. I image, because it's outside with little shade, it's brutal in summer and impossible in winter. But in early spring when we went, it was awesome! As far as I know, free parking in the lots on the weekend. I don't know about weekdays.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and have a sort of love/hate relationship with this place. Lets start with the bad, the hate. The main thing about this place that makes me crazy is the parking and getting into this place. I normally come in off of Gallows road and in veritably there is a traffic jam trying to turn into one of the nearby garages. Why? Because the roads are only wide enough to allow to cars to pass through and each time I've come there is someone who has their hazards on and is parked blocking entry which then backs things up. Also I feel like its the Indy 500 in the garages with people flying through turning and not slowing down enough to see if someone is coming through. Also I tend to park in the Target garage and for some reason the sign on one of the levels was full but it was only 1/3 occupied. For this I give it 1 star. Now onto the love part, there's a great variety of shops and restaurants here depending on what you're in the mood for and it seems like new stuff is being added to the mix each time I come (although its not too often so I might be off base, since I'm not a regular). Also the Target here is nice, basically what you'd expect from any other Target although this one is more vertical. Each time I've been here it always seems like its around dinner time, I'd like to come explore during the day and walk around so I think that might be something I need to do. For this I give it 5 stars for the variety of shops and dining here and the fairly easy walking once you've finally managed to park. So that love/hate averages to a 3 star review.

Yelp
I love the mosaic district!! Of course, like everyone, I look forward to it opening up again. But it's nice that most restaurants are at least open for takeout right now. But the one thing that drives me crazy about it Is that big wonderful movie screen in the center of all the action! It has so much unmet potential!! They show the same advertisements over and over and over and over and over again! And then that clip about the Washington Nationals winning the championship! That's all they show all day long! Why can't they show anything new? A movie, the news, anything!! I have tried writing to them several times but they never respond. It should be an exciting vibrant place like Times Square. I hope someday they can hire some new people who can turn the Mosaic District into what it should be. Even when they had special events, they were always the same. The same vendors, the same set up, nothing unique or different. Maybe because I'm at the Mosaic District everyday I see this. I guess if you just come once or twice a year you would never notice. But I do hope it can someday be all that it can be!!

Yelp
Because of it's convenient location (near 66, 395, and 495), the Mosaic Center has become the unofficial meeting spot for friends and family members alike. It's our one stop shop for good eats, drinks, shopping, and good weather strolls. They have a huge (fake) grassy knoll right outside the movie theatre where they often play outdoor movies for families to enjoy. We recently took the kiddo out here with her little walker and I have never seen the babe have so much fun. There was so much space for her to walk around and people to see. She had a blast! I'm addicted to Four Sisters, Oath Pizza, Cava, Target, Anthropologie, Paper Source, Mom's Organic, Dolcezza and Red Apron Butcher so honestly I never get tired of visiting. Parking is ample if you know where to look and their farmers market on Sundays is one of the best in the area (plus it runs until 2 which is great for late risers like myself). If you're looking for a photo with Santa and don't want to pony up $40 bucks for semi professional photos they have a Santa set up that you can visit for free and capture photos with your own camera. I've always loved this place but now that I have a family I can appreciate it even more!
