Moss Beach Distillery - Review - Moss Beach - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Despite its name, Moss Beach Distillery does not actually have a distillery on the premises. (The name is an ode to a popular speakeasy located on the cliffs of Moss Beach during prohibition.) But it does have unique cocktails, including one named for the ghost said to haunt the establishment, and sweeping ocean views. Come here to eat oysters on the half-shell, a yellowfin sandwich on a ciabatta roll spread with perky wasabi aioli, and well-made, seafood-packed cioppino." - Gabi Moskowitz

Where to Eat and Drink in Half Moon Bay

"A bit north of Half Moon Bay proper lies this historic and haunted bar and restaurant that doubles as a California Point of Historical Interest. The nearly 100-year-old distillery has a dog-friendly patio, a wide array of dinner and brunch options including crab cakes and linguini, and plenty of strong drinks including the Blue Lady martini, named after the ghost that keeps the venue company." - Dianne de Guzman, Momo Chang

8 Most Haunted Restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area - Eater SF

"Magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean aren’t the only reason to visit this historic restaurant. Once a popular 1920s speakeasy, frequented by silent film stars and other local celebrities, Moss Beach Distillery also has an alleged haunted past. Rumor has it that a mysterious “lady in blue” was killed during the Prohibition era while walking on the beach with her lover, and her spirit continues to roam the premises. Visitors travel from around the world to experience this restaurant’s stunning patio views and California coastal cuisine including shrimp alfredo and seafood sliders — while also hoping to catch a glimpse of the resident ghost." - Linda Childers

Great ambience with fire pits outside and warm seats inside. Service was prompt and quick. Bartender listened to us and made good drinks. Everyone enjoyed the different sliders and the steak. Crab cakes were good. parking lot which might get full early.

Went here for a late lunch. I've never been, but my wife has. We were seated at a window table, so we had a great view! I miss that view living in AZ. The service was great, the food was amazing, and we had more that enough to eat. Highly recommend you try it

Loved this quaint restaurant on the beach. Their English style Amber ale was great, and so were the sweet potato fries, prawns & chips and the crab cakes. Service was friendly. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. The stained glass lamps and art is beautiful!

This is such a great spot, tucked away in the hills of the Half Moon Bay coast. It is right next to the cypress grove, which is very neat and you should stop there too. We have come here twice, once for happy hour and once for dinner and we have loved both of our stops. Good and fun drink options. Food is all really good, and plenty of variety, it is a bit pricey but this location is just so great!

I got the seafood platter and it was fantastic! The seafood was fresh and fries to perfection. Our server was amazing and the nicest person you could meet. I highly recommend this location.

Long overdue review, been coming here for 10+ years. This place has consistently great food, service and atmosphere. They even have an optional, gluten free menu! Watch out for ghosts… Photo taken outside after sunset. Beautiful views from indoors and parking lot.

The view of the Pacific is breathtaking. The food is equally spectacular. Impeccable service and an invigorating sea breeze make this place a must visit. Can’t say enough good things about it.
