The 20 Best Restaurants In Downtown Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"Motek is an Israeli restaurant buried inside a huge building full of diamond shops, and getting here will make you feel like a considerably less stressed-out version of Adam Sandler in Uncut Gems. There are some very tasty things at the casual restaurant, especially sandwiches. We really like their crispy chicken schnitzel sandwich and the arayes burger, handheld beef-stuffed pitas that come with a side of crispy fries. The indoor restaurant is also BYOB with no corkage fee." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo

The 14 Best Restaurants In Brickell - Miami - The Infatuation

"There are Motek locations scattered around Miami, and they’re all a safe bet for a reliably good meal with quick service. The Brickell Motek doesn’t have our favorite atmosphere out of the bunch, and we blame that on the general chaos of the Brickell City Centre. But it does have the same consistent Mediterranean dishes we’ve come to expect from these folks. The pitas are fluffy, the hummus is ultra creamy, and the kebabs are juicy. This is the biggest Motek of them all, so keep it in mind if you need a last-minute option for coworkers or visiting family who insist on dragging you along to their shopping spree." - mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

The Best Miami Restaurants For Big Groups - Miami - The Infatuation

"There are Motek locations scattered around Miami, and just about all of them can handle a bigger party. The Brickell Motek doesn’t have our favorite atmosphere out of the bunch (we blame this on the chaos of the Brickell City Centre). The 11 Best Restaurants in Brickell | Eater Miami

"This massive location of a Miami mainstay Motek is certainly worth a visit if in this busy neighborhood. This bright and charming cafe offers a blend of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes, making it an all-day brunch haven. The menu includes a smoked salmon Jerusalem bagel plate, lahmajun (vegetable-filled flatbread), chips with harissa aioli, and a majadra rice bowl, blurring the lines between breakfast and lunch. For dessert, try the malawach churros (Jewish pancakes) and wash it all down with limonana, an Israeli mint lemonade." - Olee Fowler

We loved Motek so much we went twice during our 5-day trip to Miami! Everything was incredible from the warm atmosphere to the amazing food. Our server, Mildred, was so friendly and welcoming. The prime beef hummus was a standout rich, flavorful and perfectly seasoned. And the fresh pita bread, straight out of the oven, was unbelievably soft and delicious. This place is a must-visit!

We were looking for somewhere to eat, and came upon Motek. Walking through the patio area...so beautiful, but we decided to have dinner in the dining room....which is gorgeous! Then came the highlight of our experience, sweet Nikoterios! A warm greeting, fantastic smile and so friendly and helpful. We had the Tzatziki with freshly made pita: you need to try it, it's delicious! Then we had the Crispy Eggplant, followed by our dinner: Harissa Honey Salmon and Charred Broccolini, Turkish Lamb Kebob with Greek Lemon Potatoes, the Basiltini: Gin, Grape and Basil cocktail (3 😉), Belly Dancer Mocktail, Bazaar Breeze Mocktail, Pistachio Cheesecake and Vanilla Bean Cheesecake! Wow! Giuseppe stopped by our table to check on us and was so sweet and gracious. This was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Thank you so much and we will try to come back before our vacation ends.

We went to Motek Brickell for dinner and had a fantastic experience. The vibe is great – warm, welcoming, and lively without being too loud. The restaurant itself is spotless and beautifully decorated, which really adds to the overall experience. We ordered the chicken shawarma plate and the lamb shawarma plate – both were absolutely delicious! Perfectly seasoned, tender, and full of flavor. The Greek salad was also super fresh and tasty – a great complement to the meal. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area and craving quality Mediterranean food in a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Everything about this place was perfect. The service was fantastic. Their food was incredible and the ambience was amazing. We have been there once but I hope we can go to this place again. They had the best fish we ever tried in America. It was so tasty. Also, the salads were very good. The only thing I didn't like was the indoor area temperature. We went there for lunch and even indoor was so hot.

Google
This was recommended to us by a friend and did not disappoint! We had lamb and chicken kabobs (and shared a little of each). The Israeli street corn was outstanding. The beet salad was also outstanding. But don't miss the pistachio cheesecake. Wow. You might want to ask for extra raspberry sauce too. But that was amazing and it is gluten free! We made a reservation but it wouldn't always be necessary.

Everything about this restaurant was outstanding — from the warm atmosphere to the perfectly crafted dishes. The service was thoughtful and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. Every bite was full of flavor and care, and just when we thought the experience couldn’t get any better — we were surprised with freshly baked challah rolls at the end. What a beautiful and heartwarming touch! Soft, warm, and slightly sweet — they felt like a hug in bread form. This place isn’t just about food — it’s about how food can make you feel cared for. Highly, highly recommend! A true gem.

Absolutely fantastic Mediterranean dining experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We started with the crispy cauliflower and crispy eggplant — both were perfectly golden, light, and full of flavor. The red pepper and feta spread was a standout, creamy with just the right amount of tang and spice, perfect with the fresh pita. The chicken shawarma was juicy, tender, and packed with rich spices, served with a side of charred broccoli that added a smoky, delicious twist. Every bite felt thoughtful and satisfying. Highly recommend for anyone who loves bold flavors and fresh ingredients. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
I've left a review for Motek before, and I will do it again. You can't go wrong with this place. At brickell city center it's beautifully situated within the mall, and you can either go casually or dressed up. The watermelon cocktail is always delicious, and I get it every time I go here. Service is always great, this time we had a server who it was his second day and even still we were impressed. The arayes burger is an easy choice, super tender, and perfectly cooked, perfect to share amongst people because everyone gets one slider each if you're with a group of four. Great for a group who wants to try many dishes I tried the roasted eggplant and zucchini fritters this time, which I had never had before, and surprisingly, they were two of my favorite dishes. The tuna tartare was a basic dish, but cold and refreshing. The hummus mushroom is my favorite hummus of all time, and the friend I was with doesn't eat mushrooms and absolutely loved it.

Yelp
Motek at Brickell City Centre is an absolute gem and a must-visit for anyone looking for an elevated Mediterranean dining experience in the heart of Miami. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance captivated me--modern, chic, yet cozy, with backlit shelves showcasing elegant pottery and décor that evokes a Mediterranean charm. The service was impeccable, striking the perfect balance between attentive and unobtrusive. I was seated promptly and greeted with a polished gold plate that immediately set the tone for what would be a luxurious brunch experience. As for the food, Motek delivers both in flavor and presentation. I ordered the Jerusalem Breakfast, and it was a masterpiece. The dish featured a perfectly cooked omelette, fluffy yet packed with flavor, alongside vibrant and fresh crisp salad with the guacamole and turmeric-infused cauliflower providing unique textures and bold flavors that harmonized beautifully. To top it off, the Mimosa was a bright and bubbly complement to the meal, adding a touch of citrusy elegance. Every bite transported me to the Mediterranean coast, where freshness and quality reign supreme. Motek's attention to detail--from the gold-accented flatware to the chic, woven chairbacks--elevates it beyond just a restaurant; it's an experience. Whether you're here for brunch, a quick coffee, or a full meal, you'll leave feeling satisfied and inspired. For those visiting or living in Brickell, do yourself a favor and make time to dine at Motek. This restaurant is more than just a meal; it's a journey. Highly recommended!!

Yelp
Motek is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the beautiful ambiance--it's the perfect mix of chic and cozy. The service was outstanding; the staff were attentive and made me feel so welcome. Now, the food: wow! I ordered the artichoke flatbread, and it was not only delicious but such a delightful experience. It came with scissors to cut your own pieces--such a creative and practical touch! No struggling with just a knife, and it made the meal even more fun. I can't wait to return and try their dinner menu. Motek has definitely won me over, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing food and a memorable dining experience.

Yelp
Amazing especially for a mall restaurant. Went for brunch and everything was delicious and perfect for sharing. We got the breakfast plate, the dumplings, and French toast and cappuccinos. I did see they have espresso martinis that I must try next time. Perfect for a good start to a good shopping day or to catch up with friends casually. Beautiful scenery and service was excellent.

Yelp
Great service, everything came out super quick which was good and bad. Our table was really small so it got crowded quickly as our dishes came out (and i couldn't take a picture of every dish as we were mid eating lol). I appreciated not having to wait very long, however, especially with how busy it was. Definitely a popular spot as evidenced by the full house. Only complaint about the ambiance would be that the music was a bit too loud to converse at a regular level. Food was good, not the most authentic or memorable, but good nonetheless. We got the mushroom hummus with pita, middle eastern dumplings, summer salad, and crispy cauliflower. We also got the guns n' roses cocktail, which was great. Standout was definitely the dumplings and the pita.

Yelp
All of the food here was delicious, and the cocktails were exceptional. Our waiter Tomás was so professional and personable. He helped us pick out the perfect amount of dishes for our dinner. Even though this spot is in a busy area, we felt that we had an intimate high-quality dining experience.

Yelp
went here for a quick, happy hour, and I have to say the pita sandwiches are fantastic. The location is so convenient inside the Brickell city center mall. Perfect for a quick bite in between shopping. Service here fantastic. The ambience at any of the Brickell restaurants is always great and Motek is no exception!

Yelp
I have tried the Coral Gables location, but service and quality is just as great in Brickell! Went during lunch time and sat at the bar, and our server Maria was very attentive. Ordered the Nana Swizz as my drink and it was basically mojito with delicious blossom twist to it. The hummus is a must and comes with Lafa (warmest and most delicious one I've tried...open to try recommendations). Entree we got the falafel sandwich and the Jerusalem grilled cheese. Only "downside" is that we ordered no olives in the grilled cheese, but they also took off the roasted tomato. Other than that, great service and quality of food.

Yelp
Christmas night celebration with the offspring was elevated, snacking and drinking here. The babaganoush was so good we ordered it twice. Can you tell I'm excited about it. Seriously, nothing better than a simple old world classic leveled up with quality execution and service. The sprinkle of pomegranate seeds and fresh baked pita made it bullet proof. We sampled the crispy artichoke and some flat breads, along with several craft cocktails. Everything was spot on and seemed to be prepared with love and attention to detail. The thing that suprised me the most was how quickly our stream of apps and cocktails came out. The staff couldn't have been more attentive or pleasant. This is my quick hit and run review for a restaurant that made our hit and run snacking session perfect. I will be back soon!!

Yelp
Loved the ambiance of this place! Came here with my friend before heading to NYE festivities in the area and it did not disappoint. The Guns and Roses gin cocktail that I ordered was easily my favorite cocktail of the year. It tasted like amaretto, which I personally love the taste of. My friend ordered the old fashioned and was pleased with it. We had the babaganoush with pita, which was delicious. I'd never tried halloumi cheese until eating here - it was good but I'm not a big fan of the consistency and saltiness of it; if you like this kind of cheese though, I'm sure it's perfection. We also had the chicken shawarma, which came atop pita and was a 10/10. Our server checked in on us several times amid a very busy night for them. I definitely plan to check out their Gables location after this experience.

Ness S.

Yelp
Really nice restaurant and staff. Location you overlook the mall and other restaurants. The food was amazing as well a lot of vegan and vegetarian options to choose from. Falafel, cauliflower, eggplant, hummus were all very delicious packed with their own individual flavors and herbs. The drinks were refreshing placed in dope unique glass designs. Overall I was very pleased and would definitely return, my bestie was happy with her birthday lunch.

Yelp
This place is beautiful. The hostess was nice and sat us outside. Our server was just okay. The music was so loud we couldn't communicate with him or each other much. We ordered Hummus and Pita 7/10. The cheese pizza 7/10. And the special Wood grilled Chicken 8/10. And the Halva ice cream 6/10. The lentils and rice on the chicken were cold and hard but the chicken itself was amazing.

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant for a flavorful, sit-down lunch while in BCC. Definitely recommend the chicken schwarma, very tender chicken with delicious seasoning. We may have experienced a bit of a language barrier with the waitress, because I did order a glass of Malbec twice and it took some time to get to me...first with a takeout box coming to me instead before the glass of wine (clearly a misunderstanding). Loved that they were playing music from the region, I even heard some Greek music!
google avatar

Zaneta R.

Yelp
This was my second time at this location for happy hour, and it did not disappoint. I will say that although the happy hour menu states wines and beers they do provide half off on signature cocktails, and classic cocktails. That would be the new update in the menu, I just went in. The new update was not on the menu however, when you first walk into the restaurant, there is a menu with the happy hour. I highly recommend the salmon skewer and the chicken Shawarma Sandwich and the french fries were also really good..
google avatar

Rajiv K.

Yelp
Beautifully setup with open indoor and outdoor seating. Eye catching bar. Feels safe as it's at the top center of the mall. It wasn't too crowded, which was good for me but perhaps not the best for the restaurant (Monday night). Food was a bit hit or miss. I enjoyed the honey cauliflower starter. They had an off menu falafel dish that had a great salad. My main chicken kebob was mediocre. I didn't feel the used great cuts of meat. Flavors were ok. It didn't really come with sides. You're paying a bit for the space here, but I think the value falls short per the food quality. You'll get some decent flavors, but I can't say this is the best Mediterranean fare around. Our service was good. They auto add 20%.

Yelp
Motek Restaurant in Brickell, Miami, has become one of our go-to spots, and we've dined there multiple times. This Mediterranean-styled restaurant boasts a diverse and enticing menu. We've sampled a variety of dishes, including the cauliflower appetizer, the salmon skewers, the pita bread with an impressive selection of hummus (the creamiest I've ever had), and the lamb ribs. For the main course, we've enjoyed the chicken and lamb kebab as well as the 22-ounce ribeye steak, all of which were excellent. Motek is a charming place with delicious food, though, like many Miami restaurants, the loud music can make conversation difficult. Unfortunately, the service leaves much to be desired. While we were seated fairly quickly without a reservation, the subsequent service was slow and not in line with the restaurant's pricing. What puzzles me most is the mandatory 20% tip for what I consider to be below-average service.

Yelp
Great place for drinks and bites! Beautiful restaurant environment and great service. It was hot in the bar area there was not much air flow in this area. Great happy hour offered with various drinks and food on the menu. A must order is the halva ice cream!!! ** Happy hour Monday-Thursday 3-6 Friday 3-5 bar area only **
google avatar

Yelp
My boyfriend and I had never been here before so we decided to have lunch with his oldest daughter because she lives near by and we're so happy that we did. The food was spectacular and the service was top notch. I had a cocktail (watermelon cooler) and we split an appetizer among all 3 of us. The ambiance was nice, you could sit either outside or in. We chose in. And even though it was noisy, we could still hear each other talking. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy great Mediterranean cuisine in the Brickell area. Two thumbs up.
google avatar

Dannielle C.

Yelp
Came in on a slow Monday but the food was amazing nonetheless! We ordered the Tziziki, mushroom hummus, babaganoush, middle eastern dumplings & the chicken shawarma (only because the lamb was sold out). Also wanted to try the Moroccan cigars but they were sold out. Regardless it was a great meal and the restaurant itself was so cute! Will be back!

Yelp
Amazing schnitzel, best hummus and babbaganusg, fresh homemade pita, and outstanding service by Clemente. Couldn't ask for more. Definitely worth stopping by!

Yelp
Decided to visit Motek on a Saturday at 11:30 am for a pre Mother's Day brunch with my mom. Since the restaurant was just opening for the day it was pretty empty and our waiter was very attentive. The decor and vibe of the restaurant is beautiful and tasteful. The drinks were good, I ordered their version of an espresso martini with a chai foam that was Devine. For food we opted to order a bunch of dishes and share everything. We got the hummus mushroom with pita which was my personal favorite. We also ordered the Israeli salad, falafel with tahini, labneh za'tar, and the lamb shawarma plate. All were delicious with the exception of the shawarma, had a bit too much curry that overpowered the entire dish. For dessert we had the knafeh which was to die for and I would go back for again and again. All in all it was delicious but pricey. Our table of two came out to almost $250. But we enjoyed the experience and I am glad I went.
google avatar

Abdull A.

Yelp
The food was really good! The service was great , and the ambiance was good but I feel they should've played middle eastern music instead of house music to provide a better experience. I highly recommend checking them out. The lamb shank special was amazing!!
google avatar

Yelp
Had a long weekend in Miami and a friend who lives there recommended Motek. It didn't disappoint - food was delicious and service was great. Started with Babaganoush which was beautifully garnished with pomegranate seeds that gave it very interesting and distinct taste. For main I had the Arayes which was delicious as well. Complimented the dinner with Nana Swizz cocktail which had rum, honey, blossom water, mint and lime. And last but not least - coconut flavored panacotta.

Yelp
This place is spectacular!!! The scenery is beautiful and it is a larger location then thought. The inside has beautiful botanical garden like!! The food and drinks were spectacular, but honestly before I get to that our experience was made by the waitress. Her name was Luana and she was absolutely spectacular! She helped make recommendations, joked with the family, and ensured we had everything needed to have a wonderful dinner. The was attentive and so lovely. If I could I would give her a 15/10!! Now the food was amazing I could think we order almost every thing off the menu. The crispy cauliflower and zucchini latkes were amazing, they were crispy and soft on the inside! Now the cold mezze were amazing! We got to he spicy greek feta, babaganoish which were delicious. The my favorite two would have to be the muhammara and the labneh za atar!! The were both delicious in there own way! The prime beef hummus was also delicious. I would definitely recommend ordering a bunch and sharing it's the best way to go! For the mains we got the lamb shawarma which was also amazing but definitely sharing size. The lamb kebab was amazing as well perfect portion for one! And the moroccan fish was also amazing it came with a little lid of bread that was so cute and yummy! The drinks were amazing as well we got the motek margaritas and the passion!!
google avatar

Yelp
Some of the best Israeli food in town! I've been for brunch and dinner and both are incredible. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The Spanish flatbread, schnitzel, and hummus are my favs, but everything's delish. They've got great drinks too!! The restaurant is really cute in side as well and the servers are super attentive. Love it here!
google avatar

Kandria L.

Yelp
New location in Brickell shopping center We sat outside but the entire place was super cute Service was incredible! Food came out so fast and delicious/flavorful. We had 2 of the hummus dishes (eggplant and mushroom), 2 of us had shakshuka which was amazing and had the drinks which were great too. Def recommend and would try again!

Yelp
Pretty restaurant with a veg-friendly menu on the 4th floor of the Brickel Center. Nice option for a group that likes to share. We tried a bunch of small plates: classic hummus, babaganoush, pickles, and grilled halloumi were all good if basic options. Dips come with huge pieces of pita that are soft and warm from the oven. Cauliflower tabbouleh was my fave. Crunchy cabbage salad with a fresh mint honey vinaigrette was also tasty. Split a couple of desserts. Knafeh is good to try if you've never had it, but it's not my fave dessert. The babka bread pudding with chocolate crumble and poached pears was better- not too sweet. Service was meh. Took my wine glass before it was empty. Never brought serving spoons for the shared dishes. We ordered a first round of small plates to share, but our server never came back to take an entrée order or ask if we wanted another drink. We gave up and ended up just moving on. Food was tasty, though, so worth checking out.

Yelp
Ive been wanting to try Motek for a while and it opened in my neighborhood so I haaad to go! The place is really nice overall. There is patio seating if you want to people watch and a stunning indoor area with an exclusive room that i believe you can book for birthdays or larger dinners. The service was decent, drinks were good and food was amazing! We ordered a few mezzes and plates to share and everything was delicious. The table's favorites were Falafel + Lamb and Chicken kebabs. A few little details that I noticed and was not expecting; plates are kind of a plastic material, there was no linen napkins (just paper) and no coasters so the table gets super wet. I understand it's supposed to be a more casual restaurant, but since the place looks REALLY nice, i think the tableware could be improved to match the vibe. Overall, great restaurant. Will definitely be back soon!

Nicole P.

Yelp
I have to say i was so happy with this place- I was afraid it was just gonna be pretty and an over hyped instagram spot but i was so wrong it was absolutely wonderful. The food was so good. The hummus was delicious! I cannot wait to go again it is all fresh and packed with flavors!

Yelp
By far, the most aesthetic Motek restaurant in all of Miami. A balcony with the best views of Brickell and food that will elevate your senses to a new place and let that be the Mediterranean sea. Mariale behind the bar will make anyone feel at home (wherever that place is for y'all) mine is Venezuela and deep Mediterranean roots so I will say this again, thank you to all of the team and staff over at Motek for making me feel at home.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
We had an over the top amazing meal at Motek. The drinks are unusual and delicious. We also loved the branzino and the chicken schnitzel. I would get either of those dishes again. The desserts are also unique beautiful and yummy. The service was super attentive. Weirdly they don't take cash but that was fine with us. We will be back!

Yelp
We cane here to celebrate Valentines Day with our parents, and it was an amazing experience! We ordered multiple plates to share and try a bit of everything. The mushroom hummus was soo good, and it came with complimentary pita bread. And if you're into spicy fish dishes, the Moroccan Fish was delicious (my fav of the night). All the food tasted fresh and amazing. Only thing is, the portion sizes are a little on the small side. The service was spectacular! Everyone was super attentive and the food came out extremely fast. And the inside is beautiful; there are trees decorating the insides, plenty of seating, and it was such a nice vibe. And since it was Valentines Day, they gave us roses! Adorable!!

Joe C.

Yelp
I thought I would give this place a try. After asking the waiter about a couple of dishes I eventually went with the waiter's recommendation of the lamb chops. I didn't realize until after I ordered it that I did't see a price for it on the menu. It ended up being way more than I wanted to spend, more than double than the original dishes I was interested in. The dish ended up being approximately 90 dollars total after gratuity and tax. The meat was made well, but it was too salty for my liking, but ultimately I wish I knew about the price, because I would have ordered something else. Update: There is a reply to reach-out to them, but the site provided does not work for me and when just searching for it, it is confusing and unfamiliar. Unfortunately, I'll have to pass on reaching-out.

Yelp
Great food and great service. We went here for happy hour. Nice ambiance, however I like the coral gables location more.
google avatar

Yelp
Obsessed with the coral gables location so when I came to the Brickell, I didn't know it could be even better experience. The mushroom humus is to die for!! Ambience is super fun and always a great time. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Motek has been on my foodie radar awhile, but I wasn't aware they had a location in Brickell. We had stopped off for an early dinner at River Oyster on New Year's Day, only to find out they don't serve dinner until 6pm. They did serve happy hour though so after cocktails and a few small bites, we knew we needed some real food to soak up the booze. Conveniently, right across the street was Brickell City Centre. We had tacos on our radar but when I got up to the level the Mexican place was on, I spied Motek. It was a sign from the food gods! Overall if I'm being honest, I did not love LOVE the meal here. But I think that was more of short-sightedness on our part, and not Motek. I wanted to try the fried cauliflower, my man wanted the zucchini latkes and the falafel, so that ended up being a lot of fried, fried, and more fried. Bad move. Each dish was technically very well balanced, but we really could have done with more variety. On to a breakdown of the food. 1. Pita I think who ever makes the pita sold their soul the devil. It's like nothing I've ever had. So fluffy and delicate, like a giant pillow from made of hopes and dreams and a little char to keep you grounded. It was so beautiful I could have cried. 2. Hummus Roasted Eggplant The hummus was really interesting. It had a poached egg, but was deep fried...so Idk if that's really something you can call poached. The hummus was unique though, and unbelievably creamy. Definitely some witchcraft happening there. I dig it. The eggplant topping was cooked to perfection. 3.) Crispy Cauliflower This was actually my least favorite thing out of what we ordered. It was just a bit too sweet for me, but that could be because my body has been detoxing from a diet of sugary crack from the holidays and it has just had enough. 4.) Zucchini latkes These were pretty tasty, but like the fried cauliflower, there was too much sweetness happening for my taste. Thankfully it was just in the labneh, and the menu does mention it. I just avoided it so no biggie. The latkes by themselves were quite good though - crisp and flavorful for days! 5.) Falafel This was a very petite portion but as I was all fried out, it was perfect. I loved the fried eggplant served on top. It was like butter on the tongue! While I wasn't sold on all of the food, the service was attentive and fast, and the server noted that gratuity was included. Most servers won't tell you and will just bank on you tipping double unknowingly. While not in any particular hurry, I would return again in the future. I think this could be a fun place for happy hour with a group where we can try a variety of hot and cold mezzes. Or perhaps a dinner for date night where the entrees get to stand out.

Yelp
I'm generally a fan of Motek. I find that the food is always good, and always fresh. I hadn't been to the Brickell location before this past Monday when I visited for lunch with a colleague. The Brickell Motek may just be the prettiest yet. It's so pretty I posted a picture of it. When we arrived around noon the restaurant wasn't busy and I noticed there were several servers standing around waiting for patrons. My friend and I were seated immediately and we were starving so we started with the hummus tehina which was excellent. The pita bread is to die for. I then had the cabbage salad with roasted salmon and my friend took my recommendation and ordered the Arayes burger with a salad. The food was all perfect. At one point, I realized I needed more dressing and was having trouble finding our server. So, I asked one of the ones that was standing around doing nothing if he would please get me more dressing. Instead of getting the dressing himself, he waited for our server to reappear and then told her to go get it (I could have done that myself). Our server was clearly busy and he was not, so it was frustrating to see that instead of giving her a hand, he opted instead to continue to stand around doing nothing. Anyway, after our meal with ordered cortaditos which were delicious, but served in small glasses which get very hot. It would be better if they were served in small cups with handles in order to avoid burning patrons. No matter what, I'll keep going to Motek because the food is great, but the service needs some help.

Yelp
This is my third time at Motek and third location I've visited. If you're in the mood to venture into a new cuisine or simply satisfy your cravings for Mediterranean, you won't regret it. I love the ambiance at all locations and the beautifully decorated restaurants by Motek. Service hasn't failed so I give Motek five stars all around.

Yelp
4.5 stars (will depend on your expectations) First and foremost, keep in mind that this restaurant can get full quickly so try to aim for a reservation or be ready to wait a little bit (more on this later). Since the moment you walk in to Motek Cafe an upscale experience begins. The seating area is varied and offers "outdoor seating" (balcony) and indoor. Both are great to enjoy a meal with friends, family, dates. Additionally, the decoration make it quite unique. But the highlight of our experience was the service and food. Service was very cordial, quick, and most importantly for me, they were transparent on the water and number of dishes. We ordered 5 small plates during our visit ($45 per person including tip, no drinks). Each of the dishes that we tried was full of flavor, delicious, and if you order correctly you can get a wide range of taste profiles. From an earthy mushroom hummus, to a tangy pickled vegetables, to a fresh tuna ceviche. Additionally, service is very quick, we waited around 10 minutes for our food. The reason behind the 4 star rating is the price. You can find similar tasting dishes in other middle eastern restaurants that are cheaper, but a Motek you do get an upscale experience, at the Brickell City Centre. So if you are expecting a high price this is for sure a 5 star experience. My Criteria 5 stars: The best food I have ever had, or an excellent option given the price. 4 stars: Good food, a restaurant I look forward to trying again. 3 stars: Good food, a restaurant that I am indifferent to. 2 stars: Below average experience, will not go again. 1 stars: This restaurant should be closed.

Yelp
Unfortunately I cannot comment about the food because I had to leave this place as we were denied our choice of seating in the open patio area!! We are serious foodies and pretty much go out to try new places every weekend and will drive if a place peaks our curiosity. On the day in question, we drove almost one hour to check what's new in Brickell and we came across this restaurant that had some interesting offerings on its menu so, we saw two 4-seat tables available in the outdoor patio area, no waiting, no serious traffic to speak of, and we asked to be seated there but the staff (and seemingly a manager) were bent on sending us to seat inside to a smaller tale for 2. Now, I ran a restaurant many moons ago and understand the reason such a response would make sense where the place is packed with a line out the door but, again, this was not the case and frankly, nowhere in the USA, Canada, Europe, Latin America, have we ever had this happened to us before..... We insisted on our choice as we wanted to be outdoors and we prefer the larger table because we order a few items and find that smaller tables are not suitable for the way we order. But no, the staff and who I believe to be a manager were incredibly short-sighted and that led to us walking out and checking another place instead. The funny thing is that we would have probably ordered as many if not more items than the 4-people the available tables could fit. So, terrible job unless losing patrons is what you aim for.

Yelp
First time trying this spot located upstairs in Brickell city centre. Ambience is great!! Decor is beautiful. Service great I went for brunch so had a breakfast and kebab in pita. Both were amazing! The sides for the breakfast and bread paired really well. The kebab/pita was tender, perfectly cooked and flavorful. Would deff go again!

Yelp
Motek is my top two favorite Mediterranean restaurants in Miami. The Coral Gables location is my favorite but the Brickell City Center one is closest to me so I go there more often. The service at the Brickell location is hit or miss. Food is always good, however this time our flat pita was a bit burnt on the side. My favorite dishes are the hummus tehina, crispy cauliflower, and arayas burger. The Israeli salad is also lemony and light and the babaganoush is pretty good too. The pitas that come with the dips are sooo fluffy! The ambiance is nice both inside and outside- I prefer sitting outside during the day for a casual lunch and inside at night for a more elevated vibe.

Yelp
Food delicious as usual though I think the hummus dishes are getting smaller and smaller. The egglplant crispy and the califlower dishes are both misses, and hummus plates seem to be getting smaller, but rest of the dishes were a hit including both chicken dishes and the lamb chops. Waiter seemed a bit distracted and language challenged and checked his watch once too much, but was hard working and got the order right. Their shots for drinks are far from generous, but anyways ... Food is delicious.

Yelp
Was finally able to try this delicious place everyone raves about for Miami Spice. tried it with a friend so we got all the dips to try for an appetizer and they were all so good in their own way. Their homemade pita bread was so delicious! I ended up getting the sandwich. Wasn't my favorite. It was just a lot of bread for me. My friend got the chicken and rice which looked delicious. Definitely will come back to try their happy hour!

Yelp
Food was wonderful. Pita bread was fluffy and fresh, the babaghanoush was very refreshing and garnished well with nice presentation. You can tell they're making it from scratch. Service was okay, not super welcoming. It was also weirdly in the middle of a mall which definitely put a damper on the ambiance, surrounded by slightly sketch jewelry and pawn shops. All in all, wonderful food, okay service and not great ambiance. Maybe try a different location.

Yelp
I really do like Motek, but if I compare this to the OG location downtown, this one isn't the one I'll return to. I do feel like the prices are higher at the Brickell location, but the portions are smaller. For example, the salmon in Brickell is nearly $30 and comes with nothing - literally nothing. I got salmon downtown and it was a huge portion with rice and other veggies. I enjoyed my chicken schnitzel very much until I found a piece of someone's hair. I frankly lost my appetite after that and didn't finish it. It's a really stunning location, and if you are looking for the nicest Motek, this is it. It's also so much bigger than the others. I'll stick to the old one though.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely incredible! We had the Greek salad which was amazing and we got great recommendations for from our kind and helpful server Tariel . He recommended the lamb Shawarma and the chicken Shawarma, which were both at 10 out of 10! In terms of the drink, I tried the pomegranate lemonade, and it did not disappoint. The baba ghanoush with the zaatar bread was amazing! Definitely excited to have found this awesome hotspot in Miami for good food service and great ambience!
