Where to begin… I am Italian, born and raised there! It’s very tough to find good authentic places but this is IT. The food was phenomenal, the service was so caring and friendly! The chef even came out to acknowledge us. Best carbonara I had in years! This is a must go place! A true gift to the city of Nashville ❤️

Google
Stephanie was phenomenal. The interactive service was an unexpected and valued aspect of our dinner. Manager Flori stopped by multiple times to check on us. Food was prepared perfectly. Can’t wait to come back!

I cannot recommend Moto enough! Hands down the BEST food I’ve had- like ever. Sterling was our waitress and she was very personable. She took the time to go over the menu with us and answered our questions with a love and passion for the food. The entire staff was great. From when we entered to when we left, everyone was friendly and a joy to speak with. We went to Moto for my birthday dinner and they were kind enough to offer a champagne toast and complementary dessert. Every single one of our dishes blew us out of the water. The Brussels sprouts were flavorful and had the best bacon bits. Our table also got two of their wagyu filets with the hotel and truffle butters. We also ordered the branzino and the lobster pasta. It seems repetitive but I cannot stress how delicious every dish was. If you’re looking for an amazing meal with friendly staff and a great atmosphere, please give Moto a try!

Walking by the gulch in Nashville I got to find this cozy place which was really nice and warm and the service was great. Sterling, our waitress made the day so special, gave great recommendations and made us an awesome drink! We spent some wonderful time

We had a fabulous late night meal. The food was wonderful, fresh ingredients prepared well. Beautiful atmosphere, background music creates ambience yet allows for easy conversation. Highly recommend the burrata salad!

This place was fantastic. There’s a lot of bar food in Nashville and we wanted something different. Easy walk from the bright lights of Broadway. Tucked in a quiet corner of the city. Loved the quiet, dim ambiance. The booths are super chic and comfortable. The service was excellent. We ordered the olive oil sampler and absolutely loved it. Haven’t seen that on a menu before. I had a burrata salad and they do the whole service with breaking the burrata open and seasoning it at the table. I had the cacio pasta and it was a perfect balance of flavors. It’s one of my favorite dishes and sometimes the falls or is bland but not here. We had zero complaints. The restaurant was not very busy but we were there on the later side so not sure if that’s why. I hope more people discover it because you will leave happy and full.

10/10 experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dining at Moto in Nashville was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with such warmth and hospitality that it truly set the tone for the evening. Our waitress Mandy was incredible—attentive, thoughtful, and so genuinely sweet. She made us feel completely taken care of without ever being overbearing. Her recommendations were spot on, and her energy added so much to the experience. She’s one of those people who clearly loves what she does, and it shows in every interaction. The food? Absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully plated and packed with flavor, but what made it even more memorable was the chef coming out to personally check in on us. We did the chefs tasting menu and it was perfect. His kindness and attention to detail didn’t go unnoticed. He was so accommodating with our dietary preferences and made us feel like valued guests, not just another table. Between the elevated atmosphere, unforgettable dishes, and exceptional service, Moto has easily become a new favorite. We’ll absolutely be back—and asking for

I had been wanting to try Moto for a long time, and I finally made plans with my colleagues to go. We booked the earliest available slot at 5 PM, and later the place became fully packed. The overall space at each table was quite generous, and the atmosphere was relatively quiet. Appetizers: Tuna Tartare – Highly recommend this dish! The tuna itself was incredibly fresh and light, complemented by a unique Italian-style pesto and a mix of herbs. The texture was smooth and delicate. Even my friend, who was trying raw fish for the first time, really enjoyed it. Truffle Arancini – This was a recommendation from the server. The crispy exterior gave way to a rich, aromatic black truffle filling. I’d also recommend this dish. Main Course: Hot Honey Pizza – Another recommendation from the server. The portion was huge—enough for three to four people. The spiciness mainly enhanced the aroma rather than causing a burning sensation. However, I found it slightly too salty; one slice was fine, but eating more felt a bit overwhelming. Lobster Strozzapreti – Since it’s an Italian restaurant, we had to try a pasta dish. While this lobster pasta is a popular item, I personally found it quite average. I’d recommend trying a different option, such as the Black Spaghetti instead. Dessert & Drinks: We didn’t order dessert because we were too full, but I think their gelato would be a great choice. For drinks, I ordered the Basil Rathbone—it was incredibly refreshing on the first sip, followed by a pleasant sweetness from the honey as it lingered on the palate. Overall, a great dining experience with a well-curated menu and good atmosphere!

Yelp
This was an unexpected stop. We were going in for cocktails only before getting our night rolling in the bar alley. So glad we did. Had more quality time, convo and fun here than down on the bar strip. The ambiance is low light and romantic. Loved it. We usually belly up to the bar and our bar server was on point. We did not order all this food but sat at the end of the bar where the appetizer orders were being made. It was fun watching the staff an he was busy all night. The items we ordered we split and shared were the wagu filet which the price point was unbelievable. The flavor and cook was to perfection. Cesar salad was simple but delicious. And we ordered the calamari. Most calamari is typically too chewy and rubbery. Not this one. Super soft yet the outside was crunchy and flavorful. All the restaurants in this block are all sister properties. I'll definitely try the others when we go back. Well done!

Yelp
Chic and modern with impeccable service. From the moment you step inside, you're welcomed by a stylish ambiance and a gracious hostess. The exceptional service continued throughout our visit--our server went above and beyond, even surprising us with gelato to celebrate our anniversary. The warm, freshly baked bread and the Cacio e Pepe were standouts, though a few other dishes didn't leave quite the same impression. Overall, it was a great experience.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant perfect for a special occasion! The servers were all extremely knowledgeable and the food was amazing!! We had to see what the olive oil flight was about, but I would not order it again. Blueberry lasagna sounds crazy but it was phenomenal. And the lobster pasta was delicious and light (just wish there was more lobster)!

Kyle A.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The black pasta was outstanding and so was the pesto pasta. Loved the bread crumbs in the Caesar salad. Atmosphere was great and our server, Kyler, was fantastic!!

Yelp
The 5 is for the most amazing and authentic burrata I've had in a long long time; and amazing customer service. The waiter kinda opened up the burrata, sprinkled pink salt to it, and put olive oil on top. The tomatoes were small and perfect (not the big chunky tomato pieces some places give, which is raw and impossible to eat. The tiramisu was also great. I had wine with the dinner which was great (Pinot Noir). The pesto pasta was ok (my husband said it was great, I personally don't like the taste of lemon and pesto). He liked the eggplant Parmesan also. The bread given in the beginning was DELICIOUS.. and they did the perfect mixing of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Tiramisu was perfect. Overall plan to go back again and again!

Yelp
1 star for food. 5 stars for Edwin. Service was exceptional and exceeded expectations. Arancini was great but the carbonara was not good tasted only like egg yolk wrapped around pasta. Chicken parm was not crispy and pasta didn't hold the sauce. Still a good experience but I won't be back because of the food quality.

Yelp
Nice modern ambience. Service was outstanding. They go above and beyond in knowing your likes, allergies etc and are very knowledgeable of the menu and the way they describe all the dishes makes it difficult to decide. I had the black spaghetti which was amazing with large gulf shrimp and a spicy red sauce. My husband had the carbonara which is served authentically and he said was amazing. Others in our party enjoyed the pizza. Cocktail and wine selection is impressive. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We were visiting from New Jersey and decided to try this restaurant based on the reviews. I cannot say enough great things about this amazing restaurant! It was beyond having great service and a great meal. It was an incredible dining experience! It's located in a beautiful part of Nashville called the Gulch, the menu is very varied. Hence there are many great choices. Also their wine by the glass and cocktail menu is outstanding! I cannot say enough about our server Audrianna F., she expertly answered all of our many questions gave incredible suggestions, and has a true passion for the restaurant industry. We started with the Buratta with the blistered, cherry tomatoes and pistachios. Our server brought it to the table and then cut the Barata seasoned it and then served it to us, wow! My fiancé also had the pear salad which was also delicious, the portion sizes are very generous. We also had the olive oil flight which was out of this world. They get their bread homemade from one of their other restaurants across the street and it is simply amazing. For entrées, I had the scalloped eggplant with orzo and puréed peas, it was incredible. My fiancé had the pesto pasta and she added shrimp. It was also amazing. For dessert we had. I don't remember the name of it, but it had strawberries was homemade and was absolutely delicious. If we ever come back to Nashville this is one of the main reasons we would return!

Yelp
We started to book our reservation (Seven Rooms) but it was wide open so we just walked 5 minutes to the restaurant and arrived at 6:45pm. The hostess said the wait was 30 minutes (7:15pm) and I said that 5 minutes ago the system showed 6:45pm and we just wanted to walk over. A minute later she said now it's a wait until 7:30pm. I said "so the story changed?" and she ignored and said nothing. We walked out and walked to the higher rated Luogo. The restaurant appeared 40% occupied. Sad for Moto and its management, staff, and future customers that have to deal with this!!
google avatar

Yelp
Noah, our server, was charming and accommodating. We are vegetarians and he spoke to the chef and prepared us something special. The food was so delicious and the wine he suggested was a perfect pairing. We will be back!
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite was the pesto pasta I got and added burrata to it. Our waiter Molly was so nice and she put on a show for this pesto pasta! Moreover, my friend says they have the best Brussels sprouts. It was sweet and was topped with pancetta. Lastly, got the tiramisu that was coated with white chocolate.

Yelp
Nice place. Good food. The pork chop was the best I've ever had it's very tasty and cooked perfectly

Alexis ..

Yelp
We are from out of town. And decided last trip to Nashville we wanted to try a nice restaurant one night. This place has quickly became one of the places we will stop everytime. I got the pesto pasta both times and its amazing! My boyfriend has tried a few different pastas and it has been amazing every time. The customer service has been one of the best ive ever experienced! Every waiter we have had has been so nice! and they truly love their jobs! I will stop by everytime im in nashville!

Yelp
Had the absolute best experience at Moto! I continued my tradition of trying a restaurant I haven't visited on my birthday, and made a reservation for a Saturday night. I'm so glad I did because the night was perfect. My boyfriend and I were promptly seated in a comfortable booth. Our server, Chris, was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Hands down, he has been the best server we have encountered in Nashville. When you go, ask for Chris! As for the food, we ordered the meatballs for an appetizer (which my boyfriend said was the best meatball he's had in his life). For our main course, I ordered the black spaghetti and my boyfriend ordered the spaghetti pomodoro. We both loved our dishes, and the servings were generous. For drinks, we ordered Just Beet It, which was strong and delicious. Since it was my birthday, they brought out a complimentary tiramisu. It was the perfect way to end our meal. I can't say enough good things about Moto. Thank you for a perfect dining experience!

Ivan H.

Yelp
Dined on a Monday night, place was dead and not a single bar guest. Champagne pour was scant and the calamari was embarrassing weak and a plate full of breading from someone that just didn't care to be there. Moved next door to try out another place.

Tracy B.

Yelp
We chose Moto for our anniversary dinner because we knew we'd have excellent food and service. And we did (the bucatini alla carbonara and branzino were wonderful), until my husband suddenly passed out. The staff sprung into action; the host is a former nurse and took charge while others called 911. While I stood on the sidewalk waiting to find out where the ambulance was going, one of the staff insisted on staying with me even though it was very cold and she didn't have a coat. He's fine, and we're so grateful to the Moto staff for their quick action and compassion.

Yelp
Fantastic Italian food. The service was on point. Everything from the receptionist to the bar tender to our server. They did a wonderful job making our experience special. You can tell they care about providing exceptional service. The interior was cozy and intimate. Great place for groups.

Yelp
We went to Moto Cucina for our anniversary last night. Darian (sp.?) was our server and she was fantastic. Attentive, fun and make great recommendations. The restaurant ambiance very nice and welcoming. My wife had the pappardelle Bolognese and I had the wagyu beef. Both were very good, but the wagyu was amazing. Tiramisu for dessert (comped for anniversary, which was unexpected and very nice). Only tough thing is the parking can be a challenge, especially if there is something big happening on Broadway. Absolutely recommend.

Yelp
Maybe I've been spoiled by the food in NY, L.A., SF, but the food was mediocre. Had the black ink pasta, was really good but way too spicy with the Calarian chili oil. The ravioli was pedestrian trying to be upscale with a poured over foie gras cream. But the ravioli tasted like it had been previously frozen. The haricot verts green beans were unique & flavorful, only wished they had arrived to the table hot. The service however, was outstanding. Ed was phenomenal and super kind and polite. Really went the extra mile. The hostess was also super accommodating and also really nice (didn't catch her name but she was blonde). 5 stars for service.
google avatar

Dakota L.

Yelp
Easy five stars here! The food was delicious, the interior decorations made for a modern, classy, romantic vibe and the service was great! They were very busy for a Friday night but everyone took good care of us and even helped answer some questions about parking. Thank you!

Jill H.

Yelp
worst place i have been terrible service cold food no accountabily by restaurant no respect to customer awful awful awful

Tina Y.

Yelp
Food was amazing as was the service. Cool vibe in the bar area where we sat. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We came to this restaurant in the Gulch for a Sunday evening dinner on a reservation. The ambiance and decor spoke of finer dining, although the alternative rock music playing in the background gave a little more casual feel. Nevertheless, the food was delicious and the wait staff was attentive and responsive throughout the meal. For appetizers, we ordered the Caesar salad and calamari which I'd absolutely recommend. There is also complimentary table bread with olive oil and vinegar dip. My pappardelle entree tasted good but felt a little like I could make it myself, and my wife's lobster strozzapreti sampled more like pricey mac and cheese with lobster. The carrots as a side were a bit disappointing of a portion for the price. For dessert, we had the tiramisu which was complimentary as we were celebrating our anniversary. Overall, this was a good find and a memorable evening.
google avatar

Susan R.

Yelp
We had quite the culinary experience at Moto! The portions were generous and flavorful! The black linguini was perfection - Al dente with a good amount of shrimp and just the right amount of heat! We shared the brandy carrots which were delicious!washed this down with a Saia Sicilian red wine, and also shared the tiramisu which was perfection. JJ our server was wonderful, knowledgeable and a true professional. We were visiting from NYC and can hardly wait to return to Nashville, and to Moto! Thank you, and cheers! ~Susan

Amanda S.

Yelp
Good ambiance, great service. Lobster and pizza were both very good. Did not try the chicken parm but heard it was good.
google avatar

Kunal M.

Yelp
Really yummy and fun for a date night. I recommend trying most of the appetizers and taking a tapas-style approach to dinner, perhaps sharing a pasta or pizza dish, because the apps are really where things shined. Service was also excellent -- just a fun night overall. Parking nearby can be a little tough, but there was a cheap garage I found on SpotHero a couple blocks away. Booked via Capital One Dining and felt that was a good decision (some Prosecco samplers at the beginning) as well!
google avatar

Adam H.

Yelp
Went here for a team event and boy I gotta say this is some of the best service I've EVER experienced. A member of our party has some significant food allergies and the chef personally discussed each dish and went out of his way to organize a good experience for her. Our waitress was super diligent in making sure everyone had exactly what they wanted, when they wanted, to keep things running super smoothly. I was really impressed by the quality of everything!
google avatar

Derik F.

Yelp
This is the most elevated Italian spot in Nashville. Wow thank you JJ for the incredible service. Delicious food, lovely ambiance and music.
google avatar

Jonathan M.

Yelp
Yum yum and yum! Such a nice spot to either grab a causal lunch or dinner but definitely a fancy date night out with or without the family! We had two little ones with us and the staff were so accommodating! The food was delicious and drinks were on point. The only concern I had was the overall wait, the kitchen seemed to be a bit slow and it did take a beer about 15 mins to get to the table at one point. That would be the only complaint, I can say that was some of the freshest mozzarella I've ever had and we will definitely be back when in town.
google avatar

Britt J.

Yelp
If the food wasn't so good I would've given this place 4 stars because of the service. It was delicious though. The cocktails were unique and also very yummy. Highly recommend the pizza-- there was one with apple that was great.
google avatar

Carolina Y.

Yelp
I rarely leave reviews, much less negative reviews, but although the staff was wonderful the food was under seasoned and underwhelming. Bit into an olive pit in my bruschetta My Lambrusco was flat and served in a champagne flute Our pasta was under seasoned (pesto and cacio e pepe) And the meatballs were flavorless Save your money and time.
google avatar

Mark W.

Yelp
Ate here on a Tuesday evening. Seated quickly and our server was great and attentive. The vibe is very cool. Group ordered Brussel sprouts and they were over the top. We also tried the broccoli was also very good. For the main course I got the Tagliatelle Bolognese. Served hot and was delicious. Will be returning
google avatar

Daynna G.

Yelp
We went last night and thoroughly enjoyed everything. The food was amazing as was the ambiance. Our favorites were the fig jam, truffle arancini, Brussels sprouts, cacio e Pepe, Margherita pizza, old fashioneds, and truffle pizza. Our server JJ was very attentive and gave great suggestions. We also got to the manager Asha and she was awesome as well she suggested the black spaghetti which was new to us and it was a hit as well.
google avatar

Jen N.

Yelp
This was the first restaurant I ever went to in Nashville 2 years ago before moving here, and it always delivers. We came here for our anniversary dinner and the only opening they had was 8:45pm on a Saturday. We were seated at one of the booths in the front which are prime people watching seats. To start, we ordered the octopus. The bed of beans were a surprisingly delicious accompaniment. For mains, I got the black spaghetti (chef's kiss every time) and my boyfriend got the vegetable lasagna. We were both super satisfied with our dishes and our server was nice enough to bring out a complimentary tiramisu to celebrate. This continues to be my favorite restaurant in Nashville and can't wait until the next Moto rendezvous
google avatar

Neelum K.

Yelp
Superb Food, Service, Ambiance, Wine Selection. First class experience all the way! I was only in town for a week and was so impressed with Moto that I came back again to try more and experience it again. Appetizer fave is truffle arancini by far! Wagyu carpaccio also a fine selection. The black spaghetti with lobster looked amazing on the menu, but was not our favorite - however what a huge portion! It wasn't bad but other dishes were way better - like the PIZZA! Fresh, it felt like I was in Italy. The hot honey was our favorite. You can't go wrong at Moto.
google avatar

Taylor E.

Yelp
Atmosphere: 8.5/10 Food: 9/10 Service: 8.5/10 Such good food here! You have to try the Brussels sprouts (!!!) - some of the best I've had to date. The restaurant has a great vibe and is definitely a place I'd come back to.

Sarah R.

Yelp
Fun night with colleagues after a long day at the conference center! Enjoyed a couple glasses of wine (healthy pours!) great appetizers , one of us got a pizza, one had salmon and the other a salad. Food was all excellent! Waitress was a sweetheart - and the waitstaff really helps each other so they are super attentive. Wish we could come here soon... next year Nashville!!
google avatar

Carolina P.

Yelp
After the Mondayest of Mondays, full of long walks and moving boxes, my mom, grandma, and I found ourselves seated at Moto. Our truffle arancini appetizer was delicious, highlighted by its rosemary garlic aioli. Moving onto entrees, we enjoyed the black spaghetti, chicken parmesan, and cacio e pepe -- all of which were delectable in unique ways. Although some of the pasta was a little cold, the flavors and complimentary extra pappardelle & dessert compensated ... not to mention the BEST tiramisu I've ever had! You can count on us being back!!!
google avatar

Steph H.

Yelp
Cool spot downtown, pastas were good & cooked properly (Cacio e Pepe was lovely). For drinks- the Old Fashioned was delicious. While some items were tasty, some weren't great. (Im finding a recurring theme with the M street restaurants). We were seated by the windows, which were gorgeous but my god, it was a cold night & it was so drafty. If you are like me, I have trouble enjoying my meal if I'm super cold. Bummer. Service was pretty good. Definitely give it a try if you are looking for a cool vibe. I'm feeling like this place is a solid 3.8 (but I'll round up).

Sydney L.

Yelp
Our server Clay was impeccable and extremely knowledgeable. The peach burrata was amazing! Order the olive oil sampler just to get the foccia bread, so yum! Ambiance is perfect for date night or special dinner.
google avatar

Lemon C.

Yelp
It was cold inside the restaurant on a chilly winter night. You can't get a table without a reservation. We sat at the bar and service was slow. I got the cacio e pepe which was good. My date got the ravioli (without foie gras) with sage, butternut squash, mascarpone. It was really small and when I tried it the cheese had a smoke flavor to it like meat was in it. The bathroom stall was really small. It's hard to find parking nearby, the few spots were all full on a Saturday night. The whole experience was unmemorable.
google avatar

Rachel H.

Yelp
Our friends were craving a nice Italian meal and Moto really delivered. I'll definitely add it to my rotation for Nashville visits. The service was very good and they were able to accommodate removing meat from things for my vegetarian husband. Everything we tried was delicious, especially the side of brussels sprouts which was large enough to share, and the one of us who got wine was very impressed. If you see the vanilla passion fruit dessert on the specials menu, definitely get it. In addition to tasting amazing, it has edible gold on it. FANCY!

Lydia A.

Yelp
Terrible service got a reservation at 7:30 and did not get in. Haven't sat until 8:15. We drove and paid for parking expecting to get on time. Be hesitant with making reservations don't always trust it. Very nice restaurant that should be held to a higher standard if this going to be a service that we get. Also hostess was not accommodating and rude.
google avatar

Simone S.

Yelp
Moto accomodate our group of 12 girls, and our server was so patient with us when ordering and splitting up the bill! Here is a recap of the meal: My Aperol Spritz was perfect to start. We shared a few orders of Brussel sprouts which were SO delicious, we all agreed they were some of the best sprouts we had ever had. The cheese plate was also really tasty. I had the ravioli which had a drizzle of blueberry balsamic. In my opinion the balsamic drizzle made the dish, this was so so tasty! I love a sweet and savory combo. I had a few bites of my friend's pizza as well which was equally as tasty as the pasta.
google avatar

Mollie G.

Yelp
Our waiter Clifton was really nice. They were out of a certain cocktail that was one of their specials. We ordered multiple apps, an entree (I'll post later), Brussels sprouts and tiramisu. Our waiter told us the oysters get flown in from Alaska. These oysters were TINY. Not to mention the outside wasn't clean so there were these weird looking hairs on them. They're $4 a piece and they were hyped up but I've honestly had better oysters in Oklahoma for $1.... The carpaccio was delicious along with the Caesar. The Caesar doe come with the actually anchovy so beware. I will say I wish there was a little more time in between plates, I felt like we were being rushed the whole night. We got the lobster pasta (can't remember the name and it was AMAZING! Last but not least the tiramisu! My husband thought it was delicious just needed to be a smidge more coffee flavor. I loved the playlist that was playing in the background music as well.

Mark L.

Yelp
It was our anniversary dinner and the experience was awesome. The only negative was the complimentary funfetty cake was stale and unedible. but we will not let that detract from the overall exceptional experience.

Robert P.

Yelp
Horrible, had a reservation and showed up and was told 3.5 hours later than original time. The restaurant was empty and decided not to sit us. Horrible experience do not recommended

Chris R.

Yelp
Great business dinner...atmosphere was fantastic as well as the food. Our waiter was phenomenal. Everyone attending the dinner remarked at different times how attentive and passionate our server was about the restaurant's food and drink options. We were well cared for!
