"There appears to be no stopping Moto’s expansion. The popular square pizza specialist with Filipino flavors is planning an outpost at one of Seattle’s most historic landmarks, following its expansion to Edmonds, Bellingham, Belltown, and T-Mobile Park. We look forward to eating a slice of Mr. Pig while staring at neoclassical architecture." - gabe guarente
"There’s just no stopping Moto’s expansion. The popular square pizza specialist with Filipino flavors is planning an outpost at one of Seattle’s most historic landmarks, following its expansion to Edmonds, Bellingham, Belltown, and T-Mobile Park. We look forward to chowing down on the Mr. Pig slice while staring at neoclassical architecture. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Gabe Guarente
"If you're not familiar with flavor burst soft serve, that's probably because Moto—a Detroit-style pizza shop in West Seattle—is the only place in town where we've seen it (aside from their outpost at T-Mobile Park). Imagine a regular soft serve machine, with flavored syrups pumped into the ridges, causing, well, bursts of flavor. You get it now. Anyway, there's nothing quite like creamy cold vanilla with a karate chop of artificial blue raspberry essence. Ask Lee (the owner) to top yours with his homemade chili crisp—it's spicy, tingly, loaded with crispy garlic chips, and works surprisingly well as a topping." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley
"Yeah, any pizza place can throw some Daiya shreds on a marinara pie and call it a day, but you can do better than that. At Moto, it's all about the chewy, puffy Detroit-style square where the tangy dough (made from a centenarian sourdough starter) really speaks for itself—and there are five different vegan varieties to choose from, whether you're in the mood for pepperoni and mozzarella imposters or a more complicated pie with greens and cabbage." - aimee rizzo
"This tiny house in West Seattle serves thick, rectangular Detroit-style pies made with a 100-year-old sourdough starter (her name is Betty), and topped with things like calamansi lime sauce and deconstructed clam chowder ingredients. It’s all excellent, down to every last crunch of pepperoni edge and frizzled cheese laced along the crust’s hulking walls. And while there used to be a multi-month waitlist to get a box, same-day and next-day orders are typically available—or you could check out the T-Mobile Park outpost." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley
