Google
Really amazing beef noodle soup with a huge rib in it. I come to this spot in every visit to LA. 100% recommend! Price is really fair and quality of the food it's top notch.

Google
Favorite Korean galbi jimm and sizzling bulgogi, mountain beef noodles 😘 Clean, not crowded, spacious, affordable price, very friendly and nice staff! Must be here!!!!

Google
Mountain Noodles offers an extensive variety of Korean dishes, which initially made me skeptical about their focus on noodles. However, I was surprised to find that their menu cleverly builds on a foundation of decent meat broth with slight variations. I tried their signature dish, the beef noodles, and opted for the mild spicy version, which unexpectedly came with kimchi in the soup. I would recommend going with the regular flavor to fully appreciate the rich flavor of the broth. Kimchi is also served as a standard side dish. The ribs in the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the noodles themselves were delightfully chewy and tasty. While the service was not particularly friendly or proactive, it didn't significantly detract from the overall quality of the food. Mountain Noodles is a solid choice for anyone craving varolious and well-prepared Korean cuisine.

Delicious bibimbap! The waitress was so kind. She helped sauce up my meal to achieve a mild-Spicy taste.

Google
Delicious authentic Korean food! I like the seafood x beef ribs noodle soup the best, which has a clear light but flavorful broth! Galbi Jimm is also a must try! Me and my friends ordered both spicy and non spicy version. Both are good! The meat is off the bone easily and I don’t need any dipping sauce to enjoy it. The price is fair, service is phenomenal!! Our server almost brought different kind of dipping sauce for individual dish lol. Really enjoy this type of comfort food. Will definitely come back and try different dish!!

Google
We ordered pork neck noodle for 2. It could have been for 3-4 people. Our waitress gave us extra broth without being asked. Food was great! All the soups we’ve tried did not disappoint. Service is unbeatable. They also validate parking.

Google
My partner and I have always been big fans of Mountain’s broth, so we were so excited to try their new noodle store, and the food is very good 👌🏻 Highly recommend the cinnamon tea and beef noodles (regular noodles) If you choose a regular broth (not spicy) you’ll also enjoy the original flavor of the beef broth. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We will come back often :)

Google
I was there had lunch special, it has one of the best in town for lunch special, food is good for the price you pay. Will come back for more lunch special and try out the other dish.

Yelp
If mountain noodles has no fans, I'm gone. Mountain noodles is the best spot in ktown though often far emptier than it should be. This spot is iconic for its crazy variety of Korean foods, all executed authentically, and is really just the go-to spot for any specific Korean food cravings when you can't think of any restaurant that specializes in what you want. It's really nothing special, nothing off kilter that hasn't been done before, and that kind of restaurant in LA is such a gem. Some of my favorites are the fried squid, the seafood pancake, and the yuk gae jang. Everything is fantastic and you really can't go wrong with whatever you order. For Koreans trying to ease non-Korean friends into your cultural food, this is the spot to do it. For non-Koreans who are trying to take ownership of expanding your palate, this is a great place to start. Prices are so reasonable, staff (especially Sophie who works weekends) are SO friendly, and parking is plentiful for LA ($5 for 3 hours with validation). Tons of seating and so much space for big groups!

Yelp
One of my husband's and my favorite Kal Guk Soo spots. The soup has a unique flavor, and the noodles are perfectly chewy. I don't understand why this place is so quiet without many customers. I hope more people give it a try and love it as much as we do.

Yery J.

Yelp
i ordered the fried squid and cold noodles and they were super duper yummy!! service was really fast and the server was so attentive and kind. the prices were cheap and their portions were large. very chill korean restaurant vibe; wasn't rowdy or loud at all. definitely trying more menus next time :')

Yelp
K-town has so many places to eat, it's saturated with little mom and pop eateries that it's hard to pick. Stumbled upon a row of places and randomly decided to eat here even though it wasn't very busy like the other places around. we were in a bit of a hurry so thought we'd be served quickly, and so we did. It's very simply decorated and a one person front of the house operation, she wasn't very hospitable or communicative but took the order and brought the food. Not entirely a pleasant experience but just ok in that respect. food was satisfactory and as expected from the basic hot pot and tofu lunch special.

Viola W.

Yelp
By far the best Korean noodles place we have tried. Good price point and attentive service. The restaurant is clean and the food is delicious. I remember they had a location in Gardena many years ago. We used to go there a lot back in the days. So glad we found it in K-Town!

Serapina C.

Yelp
Whenever I'm craving Korean food I always come to Mountain Noodles because they have such an extensive menu and their food tastes like a warm homemade meal I always swear by the spicy beef noodles but love their broths and side dishes. Sad to hear they're moving!!

Lil E.

Yelp
Excellent service staff! 10/10 they go above and beyond and let's not talk about the food! I had a No.1 which is Beef rib with spicy broth and rice noodles! It is outstanding and a bombo of flavor on your mouth! The ambience is really friendly and perfect for a family dinner! I would recommend!

Jenn N.

Yelp
We went around late lunch with my family. The customer service was great!!! The waiter (not sure her name) was attentive and helpful! It was in a plaza we had to pay $5 for parking but weekday is free. The food was awesome. My son love the beef bone with udon 9/10, the jajameon was 7/10, hot stone bibimpap was 6/10. The ambiance is more like a quick lunch spot or late night place after an event! The price is also reasonable! Would recommend!

Mac R.

Yelp
The bitch in the front doesn't care for any person of color and aside from that she charged my card two times and two different charges like I would never notice, like I'm made of money and too stupid to see the food was great but the bitch in the front is a cold pice of kimchi

Yelp
I had high hopes but was disappointed for sure. Food: The noodle was 4.5 star, the 0.5 is due to the seafoodiness in the soup - I ordered the meat noodles with no seafood, but the soup had a pretty strong seafood taste that I was not expecting, which leads me to question the soup base a little, especially cross contamination concerns. The noodles were pretty chewy, and the meat was tender and actually quite yummy. The side dishes were good! I loved the cucumber and radish. The problem was with the cutlet. It didn't taste fresh at all, my husband took a bite and spit it out. Tried another piece still the same thing. He barely ate his food. Service: We didn't bother addressing the meat with the server because she didn't understand or speak too much English. During the time of order, I tried to ask if I could get the noodles a bit undercooked to make it chewy, she couldn't understand. Which is fine the noodles were great. She was attentive and refilled our side dishes. Parking: parking is $5 with validation and $20 without, during dinner time. We parked in the garage. Ktown is always busy especially this plaza. Quick service and no crowd on a Wednesday night. Might not come back though. Maybe we caught a bad timing with not so fresh food.

Leah B.

Yelp
My family and I come here often. It's our go to noodle spot lately. Mom and Dad love the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and our 4yr old loves the Katsu cutlet with rice, our 14yr old likes trying something new each time but mostly loves the seafood soup. Other items on the menu always look appetizing but I can't seem to stray from the beef rib soup. It's always so good with a huge Fred Flintstone rib bone in it! And the ban chans are fresh and flavorful. We also love that it's never too crowded. We don't eat out often because...kids. But this place is always such a chill atmosphere that we never have to worry about the kids disrupting anyone. And everyone love it here (so hard finding things my picky toddler likes) Highly recommend!

Eunice B.

Yelp
Such good Korean soul food! I always come here and eat the galbi tang, beef rib soup. My friend had the katsu curry with rice and the portions are huge! Everything here is so worth the price. The beef and shrimp steamed dumplings were also homemade and so delicious. The server was so attentive and kind. She makes sure everything was good. Only thing here is parking here at night is five dollars with validation. Otherwise, everything else here is the best!!

Carlos V.

Yelp
First time trying this noodle place. I was blown away at how good my soup was. The meat was very tender and flavorful. I ordered udon noodles and they were cooked nice. The broth was very flavorful. This is now my go to spot when craving soup or noodles. Highly recommend, definitely a hidden gem in k-town.

Susan S.

Yelp
I might have ordered the wrong item, but the soba in ice cold broth (Naeng mo mil gook soo) here was so flavorless, instant version you can buy for the quarter of the price at a Korean supermarket is 10 times better. I happen to love the dish, I use to always order it when I lived in Korea, during hot summer months. It is a little different from the Japanese soba dish that you dip into the sauce. The Korean cold soba in ice broth comes in super icy cold broth and you can drink the broth. The version I got here had absolutely no flavor, there was hardly any noodles and the topping was meager. I would recommend trying anything else but that particular dish, judging from other reviews, I might have just picked a bad day, bad dish, but so disappointing.

Irene W.

Yelp
Authentic comfort Korean food! This place is delicious! There are so many soups to choose from. I loved their Galbi Tang. Their white rice also goes so good with it. Super comforting! They don't use MSG so you can taste the flavor. Their seafood pancake is also super yummy and big! They have large amounts of shrimp in the pancake. The meat in their soups literally fall off the bone and are so tender and juicy. I was very impressed! Their Galbi Jim spicy and non spicy are super tasty too. The rice cakes are so chewy and yummy. I had one more noodle soup dish that I forgot what it was called but the noodles were so fresh and the soup was tasty. You can't really go wrong with anything here. The service is also super awesome. The wonder came around to every table to check in his customers. You can tell he really cares! I def want to come back to try more of their soups.

Jennine K.

Yelp
Our server was kinda rude to us the entire time. Food was okay. I ordered the kalguksu. Not sure if I'd come again :(

Seohyun P.

Yelp
They recently opened and the restaurant is super spacious! Their portions are very large and it is delicious; definitely worth the price. I would recommend one of the three signature noodles (on the main menu) with thin udon. They also give a spicy sauce and cilantro on the side which I like to add both after a couple bites and sips. That way, it changes and adds to the flavor as you eat and it feels like you are eating multiple dishes! Their combo menus are also very worth it's price if you are grabbing drinks and/or sharing with a couple people. Highly recommend you check the place out!

Lynn L.

Yelp
Delicious authentic Korean food! Haven't tried such a light, clear, but flavorful seafood noodles soup for a very long time. It reminds me of the soup that I would see in k-drama. The owner told me the broth was cooked for hours (for sure), and no MSG was added! It's the flavor from the beef bones and anchovies. Galbi Jimm (beef ribs stew) is rich, savory, but not greasy or sugary. Meat is off bone easily, it's so tender and soft, I don't need to dip sauce at all. It's best with a bowl of white rice!! Comfort food! All the food I ordered was impressive, the price was fair, the services was phenomenal, servers always brought me different dipping sauce for each dish. The parking is $3 with validation on the weekend, and this is the heart of Ktown!

Noah C.

Yelp
Came here spontaneously because slurp and sip was randomly closed and I can say I'm so happy it was because this place was sooooo good! My wife and I got the army stew for 2 and the flavors of the broth was delicious! Everything was perfect. The service was super quick and efficient. I would drive out here again just for that soup. The vibes were good and the music was on point. Everything super fresh! I recommend giving it a try!

Regina L.

Yelp
Very good customer service, clean Noodles are for sit down, no recommend for take out.

Robert A.

Yelp
We've been here 3 times this last month ! Love this place, never busy, very attentive. The flavors speaks in volumes !! The peanut cabbage salad, kimchi, radish .... Everything devious. I mean hurry up already

Anahi M.

Yelp
The food was good but our experience was not at the same level. Our waitress would act like she couldn't understand what we were saying. Waitress was demanding for us to pay at 9:30pm right after we received our meal with no explanation just said pay now. We have been here before and never had this experience. I am sad to say I will not be bring my family back here. The ambiance is fine and has a nice set up.

Monica C.

Yelp
Yummy food and good service the noodles were hot ready and delicious! It was calm inside

Vicky P.

Yelp
The fam and I decided to try this place on a whim. We saw the photos of food along their windows along Wilshire Blvd., and we wanted to give them a try. My favorite part of this restaurant is that their menu is big without being overwhelming. They have a wide array of food that caters to anyone's appetite! The hubs got a jja jang myun (black bean noodle), I got the soba noodles, and we got the shrimp fried rice for the little one (and the table). The hubs' noodles were so good! It was piping hot when it reached the table, and the noodles had great texture. The fried rice was ON POINT! Each kernel of rice was well coated in delicious seasoning - was it stock? eggs? MSG? Who cares! The best part were the shrimps - they were plump, juicy, and cooked to PERFECTION. The only let down was my soba. It was clear that it was one of the first dishes done, and it was sitting for a bit waiting for the other items to finish cooking. The noodles were all stuck together, and it took some prying to get them separated in the cold broth. Other than that, we were very happy with the food and service. The place was pretty busy, and there was only one server, but she never missed a beat! And the fact that you can walk around the building for a cup of iced sea salt coffee??? *Chef's kiss* Beware: the parking lot charges for all busy times - so evern with validation, our weekend lunch cost $5 alone in parking.

Noriko P.

Yelp
Been wanted try but always ended at regular Mountain cafe. Wanted try soybean broth cold noodle since saw the menu banner because never seen it elsewhere in LA. It was good and portions of the foods were so generous. Kimch was really tasty. Definitely will be back for another dishes.

Galit G.

Yelp
Located at the Brown Derby building. The service was outstanding! The waitress was incredible. She helped us through the menu, what is popular etc. The food is Tokyo/Korean food. Definitely different and unique.

Rickey Y.

Yelp
Traditional Korean food, if that's what you are looking for, come to this place. They don't use msg, or sugar syrup. You can tell by the food. Love the beef rib bowl and seafood pancake. And their cold noodle is also not that sweet. Owner and the severs are very friendly. They do have parking lots in area, not free but they do validation. And street parking too. Will definitely recommend this place

Jimmy F.

Yelp
So yummy! nice food and nice staff. Food comes out very quickly and the quality is great. I recommend!

Evangeline C.

Yelp
Hard working and great staff. The beef noodles are good. The thin ramen noodles was recommended and was really chewy. On the pricier side of $20 for a bowl of noodles, and the sauce for the beef needs a bit more tanginess, because it lacked flavor which made the beef less tasty. Metered parking outside.

Jong L.

Yelp
Although Mountain Cafe aka "SAN" next door isn't known for its noodles, I knew somehow that their new spot would serve really good noodles if they were going to open a noodle spot. I ordered the extra spicy beef noodle, which I highly recommend. The thick chewy noodles tasted homemade, and the beef-based broth tasted slow-cooked and was spicy without tasting salty. I'll return for sure. Highly recommend.

Yan T.

Yelp
Food ordered: seafood noodle $18 Overpriced. Overall taste wasn't bad, but it wasn't satisfying and felt like empty calories. Noodles were slightly over cooked which took away the texture. It tasted like slightly better fast food noodles. Service: The waiter was rude when asking for water. She barely responded or reacted in anyway so I couldn't tell if she heard us or not. Wouldn't come here again.

Yamand P.

Yelp
Food is okay. Maybe because I bought bulgogi with rice, but the seafood pancake and kimchi taste good. The lady is the only one serving for the whole restaurant but she is quick anyway so that's fine. Service is great. Ambiance is good. Easy to find restaurant. Food prices are reasonable and serving size is appropriate for the price. We will come back to try their noodles next time since that is really their specialty.

Amy K.

Yelp
Delicious noodles and quality food , friendly staff. highly recommend it. I will come back often .

Jacob K.

Yelp
Third time here and all the food is always tasting fresh and good. There is definitely NO MSG in the food (msg makes me really sluggish and thirsty) which is hard to come by with this type of bold flavor. Servers were really nice. What more to ask. This will be my go to place when I want to eat korean noodles!

Josh R.

Yelp
Crispy Pork Cutlet with Curry Beef Bulgogi Jap Chae Korean Fried Chicken All amazing. Great service. Would return in a second. Probably will soon.

Amy L.

Yelp
The food was good but the service was horrible. The waitress will make you feel ignored and give you an attitude when you ask for anything extra and will demand a tip if you don't leave one.

Itzel R.

Yelp
Waiter has a terrible attitude. You ask her for anything at all and she will either ignore you or give you an attitude while doing so. And she will DEMAND a tip at the end.

Danny M.

Yelp
Savory, delicious, and comforting. Went with the beef broth and noodles. Rich flavor. They have side condiments of chili for you who want the extra kick. They also give you some cilantro which adds a little something to the dish. I think the savoriness is due to the bone in the soup. Nice. Also had the shrimp / beef dumplings. They're more like egg rolls, but nonetheless, good. Some banchan to start things off was nice. I'll be back to sample more.

Jing C.

Yelp
Great food. Not only the noodles. All the food are amazingly delicious. Meats are tender. Highly recommend!

Elliot C.

Yelp
Absolutely love love this place. The food was so good and I love that you can choose what kind of noodles go into your broth. Coming back very soon

Katie C.

Yelp
TLDR: come for the spicy seafood noodles and shrimp egg rolls I love the OG mountain restaurant so was excited when I heard about their new noodle restaurant. Their signature dish is the spicy seafood noodles and IM IN LOVE. their hot noodles but have a refreshing taste. Don't think of it like jjamppong () because it is it's own unique yumminess. We tried out a bunch of things on their menu and everything is pretty standard for a noodle restaurant. Nothing super great but surprisingly satisfactory as a lot of restaurant that open with a larger menu DONT deliver on most dishes. If you're going to come here I HIGHLY recommend the spicy seafood noodles and the shrimp egg rolls. The shrimp egg rolls are like a shrimp dumpling but wrapped in an egg roll wrapper and it was DELICIOUS!!

Esther L.

Yelp
Everything I had here (tonkatsu, spicy seafood/beef noodle soup) was soo good! I will definitely be back for the noodle soup, you get to choose your noodles which I love. I got the udon noodles. Literally cant wait to come back!

Christian W.

Yelp
Amazing service, food, and portions. We loved everything! Curries, soups, noodles, hot stone rice, they killed it all!

Vatche T.

Yelp
Not customer friendly at all. Meat dishes have barely any meat. There are so many better choices in the area.

Natalia J.

Yelp
What a great noodle restaurant in Koreatown! It's on sixth Street right in the middle of the auction and there is a parking lot underneath the building and they validate for two hours :-) the waitress is amazing she is so kind and she is out here waiting and serving and busing tables all by herself so make sure you give her a big tip when you come in. The menu has so many options and everything that I've tried on the menu is delicious, but I would mostly recommend the spicy knife cut noodles with seafood and beef bone. I also really enjoyed the deep fried squid appetizer. In true fashion of a Korean restaurant, they give you punch on so it helps you to stay more full even if you only order one dish. The portion sizes are pretty big so you can definitely come with a friend and share a dish.

Sig B.

Yelp
Delicious Korean soup! Glad we found this place. We tried all their different soup because we were a big group. It's fun to share the soup and sides.

Rosemarie L.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, but everything was just average. Friendly service but they got my order wrong despite the fact we were the only customers... I would say portion wise, you definitely get a lot for what you pay for. My boyfriend and I ordered our own signature broth but it was too much to eat on my own. The meat slides right off the bone, but there was no flavor in the soup-- even with spicy it t tasted bland.

Kaylia V.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I traveled to LA for my birthday and we came here for dinner and were very satisfied. When we walked in it was empty which can be very misleading but don't judge the restaurant just because it isn't bussing with bodies. I can't completely remember the names of the dishes we got but they were DELICIOUS. My favorite was the noodles bc they were perfectly chewy, tender meat and the broth was amazing! We got it in extra spicy and it had the best kick to it. My boyfriend loved adding the spicy rice cake sauce onto the crispy rice, he couldn't stop thinking about it when we got to our hotel later that night. I wish I could rate it a 10/10 bc it truly was the best thing we had in LA, we can't wait to come back. Please give it a try, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Ink S.

Yelp
Mountain Noodles This place was amazing! The food was so much bigger than expected and so worth the money. The Sesame Chicken was so good. Our waiter was extremely nice and the experience overall was amazing. So worth it!!!
