A very small kind of bar located away from the hustle and bustle of Vegas lights. You might drive right past it if you're not careful. Once located, there is plenty of open parking with LOTS of signs (no personal food or drinks aloud). The entrance was a bit confusing, but they had once again a LOT of signs pointing you into the correct location. (YES, THIS MEANS YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY READ) Once inside, God is it freaking cool. There is so much to do, so much to see! Make sure you bring some singles decorated, of course, then hang with glue. If you didn't bring a decorated one, they have sharpies and glue at the bar. The bar tender was so AMAZING, Candice (sorry if I spelled it wrong) from San Antonio, TX. She gave us a menu and told us to hurry to the kitchen before it closed as we arrived kind of late. I'm glad we did. The cook was a Spanish lady, very friendly. Fast with her kitchen, food was put quickly and HOT! The fries 🍟 were perfect!!! My pulled pork was yummy, but I like mine to be more saucy. I just added some BBQ sauce, and it was perfect! Not to mention, they had $4 Whiskey Wednesday. Drinks were good as well, and I wish we could've stayed longer.

One of the best stops in the area. Take a trip from Vegas and stop here. They don't have food but the building next door has good food. You can either eat outside or walk to the bar with your food that you bought from the nice lady next door and eat there. She had 3 for $5 Tacos during the week. Got 3 beef and 3 chicken. Very good and bread was what made it really good.

This is definitely the place you want to come to get away from the heat of summer and really, just to have a good time! My wife and I are Jeep people and so we love to come here with friends but I'm sure you can guess that it's a BIG bike destination as well with tons of Harley's and motorcycles of all types. It's awesome that it sits right on the path of the Old Spanish Trail and the bar just oozes with cool factor with dollar bills plastered all over the walls and ceiling. Of course, this is a place to come and cool off with a cold one or a whiskey served neat but there are GREAT tacos to be had as well.

Really a neat place to visit. I didn't have food. The bartender was great

What a nice surprise and fun place in the middle of the high desert! It's a great place for bike and car rallies to stop and refresh. It's also a live music venue that is comfortable during the summer as the 5300ft altitude and .uch cooler temperatures contrasts with our torid heat in the Las Vegas area. We loved watching the Avenue B The Band performing live music outdoors, enjoyed a taco and a Mexican mandarin soda. There is also a bar that takes you back to the mid twenties century... Fascinating! The highlight was the band, outstanding musicians played a variety of songs from country to rock, what a treat and great day trip to escape the heat and see something new and fabulous!

Short review: Huge biker dive bar, lots of room inside and out, live performance inside and out, gambling, cold drinks and warm food. During our visit, which coincided with a morning ride and a BBQ raffle, we were pleased with the experience. The establishment provides ample parking space, delicious food, and refreshing drinks. The staff members were not only friendly but also attentive and efficient. As a newcomer to the area, I've found a spot I intend to revisit whenever I'm planning a run in this direction.

I am still trying to figure out why this place is called “world famous”. Location is nice and in the garden atmosphere is nice. Band was nice to listen to but rest is not. It is a nice destination to drive or ride a motorcycle. But food and drinks are way below the standards and expensive. Place need a new owner or a manager to make it more fun to visit.

I work with Law Tigers and this is my first time there they had great bands playing. We had great food and great drinks. I would totally recommend this. It is a biker destination.

Yelp
100% recommend! The food is surprisingly great! I don't mean that badly but I've been to many a dive, biker, and saloon type bar and was never really blown away by the food. This place is different! Not only was the bar wicked cool but the food was many notches up from bar food. The giant chicken nachos were topped with REAL shredded chicken and were so big the two of us were almost unable to finish it! Super fun atmosphere and very friendly employees. Go visit and lemme know what you think!

Yelp
While I haven't eaten here, yet! I do have to say this is a pretty cool spot. I stopped by on a holiday, so it looked like the Daloon was closed, but I did see a sign posted advertising the pas and upcoming pig cookouts, so I'll that in mind. The Mexican place in the back was opened and look pretty solid surging up huge orders of loaded Nachos and Fries! A nice spot to stop for lunch when you're out doing laps on the moto.

Yelp
What a great and fun stop! Get out of Vegas and drive a beautiful scenic drive 30-40 min out and stumble across this gem. Great ambiance and super friendly service! It's such a nice place to grab a drink at the bar or roam around the grounds and find seating in random places and have great conversations. The food here is just okay but the novelty of the "dollar bill" bar and the beauty of the mountains is why I will be back!

Yelp
If you wanna get out of the Vegas Valley and experience, something that you don't see too often, go to this place. It's very small and somewhat smoky, but the bartender service was great! She would give you a drink really quick. We didn't order any food, but the ambience was amazing!I guess they have a tradition of taping or gluing or stapling one dollar bills all over any surface. So of course I had to put mine on there. I asked the bartender how many dollar bills they have in that place and she said about 30,000! It's on the way to prom and it's a nice little pitstop.

Yelp
Yum! Torta was really good the green salsa was the best. So much flavor. Maria's tacos is in the back of the area. The whole place looks fun. Leave a dollar.

Yelp
How have I never reviewed this place? Great place for a beer and the taco restaurant behind it is great! (Different business) Friendly staff, cold beer, GREAT atmosphere, 15° cooler, which is nice in the summer. So nice to drink your beer outside.

Yelp
It's been a few years since my last review. There have been some changes. The Mountain Springs Saloon and Restaurant are in two separate buildings. The restaurant is a walk up window for ordering and pick up and does not have inside seating. The saloon has both indoor and outdoor seating. Alcoholic beverages are available at the saloon. On this day I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito and the Cheeseburger. The Burrito is large and comes with rice and beans with green chili salsa on the side. The beef is cut very fine and I did not get a lot of Carne Asada flavor. Also I found a few pieces of gristle. The Cheeseburger was juicy and tasty and comes with a pile of French Fries. The menu has many choices, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Live entertainment is available on selected days.

Yelp
Love this place, nice people, live music on weekends, outdoor patio is outstanding, such a beautiful place in the Spring Mountain range at 5,000' elevation means its always 15 to 20 degrees cooler than Las Vegas valley , it's a great biker stop too

Yelp
Omg the food here is amazing! So delicious! So much food given!! Counter guy taking orders and the lady cooking amazing people ! Great salon and country vibe, out side seating stages for bands! Please come and try! Real better then any Mexican food I've had! Have burgers and fries everything you can think of!

Yelp
Super cool place to get a drink. The service was great. Bartenders are so friendly and welcoming. Dollar bills on the walls, clean, area for the band, pool tables, video poker, and plenty of different things to check out outside.

Andrea R.

Yelp
First it took 30 min for our food but that is not what was bad. My husband went up twice to check. Second time up the lady was apologizing to people who ordered after us for the wait but that wasn't even what was bad. She gave him our order except for the ribs that he had to ask her for and she went to the microwave and pulled them out.and that is unacceptable for $30 dollar ribs and bbq pork sandwich was burnt! Overall food was nasty
google avatar

Yelp
Fun place. Right priced beers. Places to sit inside and outside. There's food too. We didn't get any but it looked really good! Friendly place to chill. We would come back.

Yelp
Definitely recommend going at night. The bartender is so nice and knows what I like to drink and will talk to you and she is just overall just very nice. She makes her drinks perfectly. I like the food in the little Mexican shack in the back but the service there sucks there. Barely can speak English so they look at you as if they are lost and don't understand. And you ask for something it's just a hassle and you have to repeat several times. Just skip the Mexican shack and just go drink and have fun

Yelp
The food today was absolutely terrible. We have been going there since last year and loved it but their barbecue master is no longer there so the food sucked. When I mentioned it to the owner Auggie he was so rude told me I didn't have to come back. I told him we would not. He said he didn't care. We'll see after what people think after today. I give them NO STARS

Yelp
Food came out fast & good. Beautiful atmosphere, quiet and cooler than anywhere else! The bar area is fun & the staff are friendly, fun yet professional!!

Yelp
This is always been a fun place to stop by on the way out to pahrump or just an excuse to drive up the mountain and hang out somewhere. The bar has always been smokey, so I haven't really spent a lot of time inside as cigarette smoke doesn't really get along with me and my annoying allergies. But hanging out outside was always a plus especially when the barbecue food was around. Of course, things change over time and this is what happened to the source of food here. It was awesome when John was here slow cooking some amazing barbecue. However, he has moved on it seems and the food source was replaced with Maria's tacos (Mexican food). I do love Mexican food, so I had to give it a try. With that, I'll start with some of the positives. For one, service was awesome. It didn't take too long to get the food and the girl behind the counter/window was very friendly and pleasant to talk to. The menu was mostly familiar to most your Roberto's like establishments. With a few less items on the menu due to the size of the kitchen I'm guessing. So it was pretty easy to find something that sounded good despite having many things to pick from still (I went with the super nachos). The presentation of the food also gets a thumbs up as the nachos came out looking amazing, as you can see from the attached image. As for the experience of eating said nachos, I wouldn't describe it as memorable. The presentation was nice, but the overall temperature was cool too cold. To be fair, it was cold outside with the first layers of snow forming everywhere. However, even the chicken seemed cold as if it was served chilled and not freshly cooked. The prices have also significantly gone up from the menu images posted here by others. The nachos were $14.99, which seemed a bit steep. This didn't help the experience. Again, the service was amazing. The girl behind the counter/window was awesome. Presentation, awesome. Wait time, awesome. Size of plate, perfect for a normal nacho order. It was just the temperature, flavor, and price that throws everything off. I kind of felt like I was on the strip but in the middle of the mountains. Since I don't like tourist pricing, and the first impression is so important, I couldn't say if I'd give it another try. I'd still come back to visit the saloon from time to time though.

Yelp
GAMBLE OR GET ON DOWN THE HIGHWAY is the vibe at this establishment now. I've been going up there since 2010. Over the past couple years, I've taken a few friends from out of town up there to show them what's outside the city. The "Experience" was the Saloon (not food). The cool Saloon building where patrons put their names on dollar bills and put them all over the wood beams and walls all over the front of and above the bar, where the iconic wild animal heads were mounted and lots of bras were donated by sassy biker babes. The front room is also where the wood fireplace is, so cozy and warm in the winter. SITTING IN MAIN BAR AREA or out on the front porch having drinks with biker rock music playing from the jukebox or a live band on Sundays during riding season was awesome and was the EXPERIENCE! Pool and shuffle board were in the back room & In warm weather, out door games too. NOW, like every other gaming bar around, they will not let you sit at the front bar and enjoy your drink unless you're playing a machine, even if it's slow up there. Gamble or get on out back or on down the road. NEW RULES ruin the laid back, low key, relax no worries vibe. GAMBLE or you're not welcome to hang out. *FOOD There may or may not be food available. The KITCHEN building is rented out to third party, which has changed hands many times, so don't go there for the food. If it's open/available, sure give it a go - usually Mexican or BBQ fare of some sort that's pretty good, not anything to travel for.

Yelp
I drive here to go to a real bar. Everything a bar supposed to be that Vegas lacks. There is amazing Mexican food out back. Full of personality and small town feel.

Ric K.

Yelp
New No Pets Policy. Been to this place many times in the past and was invited for a pig roast and raffle today. Previously, it was pet friendly. Today I arrived with my dog and was turned away because of some new "ordinance" recently passed. Really POd after driving an hour to get there. I go to other restaurants with outdoor pet friendly seating and no idea what's different about Mountain Springs Saloon.
google avatar

Me A.

Yelp
Disgusting bar. Mold on the ice. Got a beer instead then I saw Dead bugs just on the floor with no regard to clean them up. No bar seating unless you gamble on their way too tight machines. They make you feel very unwelcome if you don't want to gamble but still would like a bar experience. The place has gone so far down hill. Pig roast isn't even a real pig roast, just false advertisement of store bought sides and meat.
google avatar

Shelly M.

Yelp
What you want here are the fish tacos. She SLAYS them. Not to dis her other food. After about my tenth fish taco trip I had the asada loaded fries and they were amazing, as well. But if you love fish tacos, a trip to mountain springs resort should be on your horizon. You're welcome.

Chris F.

Yelp
Always loved this place but don't you dare sit at the bar if you're not playing video poker. Even if it's dead ‍
google avatar

Cherie B.

Yelp
Fu(k this place. They wouldn't let me park here and eat. Parking lot wasn't even full. Two thumbs down!!!!!
google avatar

Dave W.

Yelp
I was always intrigued about this place....in the middle of nowhere but still popular, seemed to have an old school vibe. I attended one of their famous pig roast events. At a reasonable price i received a huge plate of food, 3 drinks and some raffle tickets. There was plenty of outside seating and since it is roughly 15 degrees COOLER up there, sitting outside is a great option. The live band was enjoyable and the whole grounds smelled wonderful because of the pig roast. Inside you'll find dollar bills as wallpaper as you walk up to the packed bar. The inside bar area is rather small but there is an extra back room where the band plays as well. It certainly looks vintage inside. The grounds themselves are huge for a bar- plenty of outside seating, a BBQ restaurant in the back, koi fish pond, picnic tables, chairs...the works! I had a blast here. I just wish it were closer to home....or maybe not. The remote location is a perk for them.

Yelp
This is quite the little hidden gem This is a great little bar with a lot of character. The bar walls are full of dollar bills that people have written on. They have pig roasts once a month and live music, as well as great food! The fritto pie is to die for!
google avatar

Ed F.

Yelp
Cozy place to escape the hot Las Vegas Valley in summer. Came here a long time ago and now there are nice additions to the place like Maria's Taco Shop and the outdoor seating by a beautiful pond in the rear. I had a carne asada burrito and a can of Coke. The burrito could have tasted better if properly seasoned (I asked for un poquito de sal). The can of Coke wasn't cold enough so I asked for ice. They had none and the nice lady (Maria?) gave me a colder one! I'll take mi esposa here next time.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute little saloon off the beaten path. Definitely Not really a kid friendly place even though they have a putting green, a fishpond, a few old mechanical ride on toy and out door seating. I have been here a few times before kids, the Decour hasn't changed much the dollars still cover the wall. Stopped in recently to grab a drink on the way home from a family fun day. But realized there was nowhere to get out of the cold with the kids. One waitress went from the bar to the food area but never said anything to us. My four-year-old had to use the restroom so that was the only time we actually went into the bar area. Still nobody noticed that we are in there. After being in the live music room for about 10 minutes we ended up leaving. The conditions are very smoky. Wishes we could have grabbed some of the awesome looking barbecue that was being cooked up but there was no place for us to sit.
google avatar

Darrelle W.

Yelp
We've driven past this cool place, just outside Las Vegas, a few times, but we finally checked it out today & had lunch. It's about 10 miles from our house & the weather went from 108 to 93 degrees - nice to escape the heat! They've got a cool ol' bar with slots & video poker, pool table & such, but also indoor/outdoor spots for some live music Looks like a cool place many bikers stop for a break, too! AND I think it may have been the nest nachos we've ever had!!
google avatar

Shelly M.

Yelp
I'm composing this review about one hour or so after visiting the Mountain Springs Saloon. As I'm sitting in the bathroom dying of whatever I ingested, I figure this is a great time to give my absolute opinion about this side stop on the mountain. Just drink. Don't eat. This reminds me of the old west saloons, if they had modern crappy furniture to stash in different locations out back under bushes and trees that is. As another reviewer had mentioned, if you are germaphobic, this isn't your stop. Off to the side, and up the slope is a BBQ shack. This is where I ordered death. I made my way back down the little hill and entered the saloon from the front. Note: You can order directly in the bar, but a little walk never hurt anyone. Petite doesn't even start to describe the size of this establishment. I do honestly believe that the dollar bills all over the walls, are holding them up. The bathroom is small. I mean, there are plenty of women who would need a greased shoe horn, or a fast diet to wedge their ass in there. Don't change your mind, there's no room. The bottom of my burger was greasy wet. The fries were just meh. I knew not to eat it, but my hunger overtook my sensible brain. I'm an idiot. Hard pass for me. Your mileage may vary.
google avatar

Yelp
I've driven by the Mountain Springs Saloon for many years and never stopped to check it out. What a mistake! The Saloon has rustic charm and offers seating inside for families or gaming at the bar for 21+. Out back you'll find a small walk-up window building to order some grub. Food is all reasonably priced and made to order fresh. Everything we ordered was outstanding; two pork tamale plate, shredded chicken taco salad and five rolled tacos (all food is pictured). One downside was all the flies outside, so after getting our food we moved to inside to eat. Inside is full of dollar bills stuck to the walls, shuffle board for playing and also a fun pool table design. Our bartender was super friendly and helpful with all of our questions. We had the place to ourselves which was nice but I imagine over the weekends it's much busier. Overall this is a must not miss if your traveling between Vegas and Pahrump.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is pretty good, the vibe is definitely Biker Bar, and the ride up there and from Vegas is worth the trip. Popular among locals who ride. The breakfast burritos are awesome!

Cynthia C.

Yelp
So pleasantly surprised! From Vegas we decided to do some off-roading near Pahrump. The cute food building next to the bar looked really clean from what we saw so we decided to order and the food was delicious. I ordered the cheeseburger and my husband ordered a breakfast burrito. We would go as far as to say the cheeseburger was one of the best we have ever had. Total cost $20 Best kept secret in town! Highly recommend.
google avatar

Jay A.

Yelp
Better than you're thinking! Yes, it's a "Biker Bar" - with all of the visuals that go along with that image. However, what some people don't seem to know is that bikers tend to be really good folks. Friendly and Down-to-Earth in the best way. But I don't come here for the bar or the crowd. For me, it's all about the food, and the outside hang. The barbecue is delicious. The Pulled Pork Sandwich is about the best I've had - served on a grilled bun with a super-tasty sauce. There are several comfy (though not fancy) places to sit and enjoy the food. Personally, I like the patio by the fish pond. The trees and running water make me feel like I'm truly out of the desert for a bit, and that's pretty awesome. Props to the good folks who keep this great place going!
google avatar

Nikki G.

Yelp
To be fair, you can probably round my rating up to 4 stars since this kind of place isn't typically my thing. I ended up here with a friend who loves to go when in the area. It's a bar. Typical bar. With smoking, crappy beer, and dollars taped all over the place. I mean, they do have a popcorn machine though and I enjoyed that for sure. And just a few steps away on what seems to be the same property is a BBQ shack serving up some pretty decent food that you can enjoy next to the koi pond on a nice day. Probably worth a stop in at least once.

Michele C.

Yelp
Great vibe, and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED fish tacos and chili rellenos from Maria's taco shop right next door at Maria's taco shop!
google avatar

Becky K.

Yelp
Roadhouse located in the small town of Mountain Springs. It is easy to find since it is on the main highway. There is outdoor seating on the porch and on the patio. Inside is small and dark. All of the walls are covered in $1 bills that past patrons wrote on and hung up. The bar offers a variety of mixed drinks and bottled beer, no draft. There is also food but you have to order and pay separately. Cash only for food orders. We will definitely be back for the monthly pig roast.
google avatar

Kirsten R.

Yelp
An authentic find!! This amazing fun welcoming "biker bar" was recommended by a local and was awesome!!! We lucked out and the BBQ Restaurant was open and so good!!! The turkey sliders were smoked to perfection. My husband said the wings were the best he'd had in a long time. The bar was great and friendly full of colorful friendly patrons!! What a great hidden gem!!!

Yelp
Opened! Great to be able to visit Mt. Springs Saloon, it's opened! This property seems to be practicing safe social spacing. Hope you stay open.

Yelp
The Ribs were cooked on the grill when I ordered. So fresh so good and they were all very friendly. Great scenery. Perfect getaway from the city!

Yelp
Very cool biker bar on the edge of nowhere. Exactly what you want in an old Nevada salon. Ambiance, cheap drinks and you don't get your ass kicked. Live music and bbq on the weekends. Great bloody marys. Enjoy the view... the mountain vistas are awesome. P.S. don't park your car in the bike parking lol
google avatar

Yelp
Drove around with my family and we came across this spot. Absolutely loved it. Everyone there was extremely friendly and good conversation. The food is AWESOME and drinks are fairly priced. Definitely coming back here when I go out west again!

Yelp
Desert Oasis About 45 minutes from Las Vegas, this little throwback to the outlaw times is an interesting place to stop and have cold beer after a nice drive or hike in Red Rock Canyon National Preserve. Don't let the tough looking biker presence intimidate you, just mind your own business and you'll be OK. Many of them are bike loving German tourists anyway! If you feel like having a burger or something off the grill, take your drink and walk to the back side, order your food and enjoy a relaxing few moments away from the busy city life.

Yelp
I love bars that are a bit out of the way. The kind of places you really have to hunt down to find. You'll find this little out of the way place on top of the "Hump to Pahrump" in the little community of Mountain Springs. Because it sits at an elevation of about 5500 feet it's always a bit cooler than down in the valley. So it's a nice place to go to escape the heat and get out of the valley for awhile. They have a couple of pool tables and a juke box. Weekend it's usually packed with bikers. Often they'll have a live band. If your looking for a out of the way place to have a drink this is it.
google avatar

Stephen C.

Yelp
I would say the best burger of my life was here. It's called the Gangster-D and all I gotta say is Wow! This is a good old fashioned American eatery tucked under some trees with great outdoor eating. They are cash only, so make sure you bring that, but well worth it! If your not in a rush, kick back, enjoy the sunshine, fresh air and amazing food. They have BBQ smoking at any give time while you're here. I wish there were more places like this!

Yelp
Unfortunately, Yelp doesn't have negative stars. Although I should give at least a half a star for having a Corona and Lime at the bar. As for friendly that was the most unfriendly bar I've ever been in. So we opted to have food outside from the concession stand? I'm warning everyone don't ever order food from the concession stand. I don't know how they did it but they actually made onion rings that had absolutely no taste whatsoever. Even the ketchup was tasteless. The french fries were tasteless. The pulled pork sandwich had so much grease, I could have change the oil in my car and filled it with all the oil dripping from the pork. And yet with all that grease the pulled pork sandwich was tasteless. And since when do we call a hunk of smoked shoe leather a hamburger? They smoked a skinny patty which was probably imported from China, and then warmed it up and called it a hamburger. I called smoked meat a sausage . Guess what? It was tasteless. After all, it was Saturday afternoon and you'd think they'd have some real hamburgers on the grill. I guess I'm just used to Wisconsin hospitality, where they actually put real beef on a grill and call it a hamburger. A great big juicy hamburger. They should stick to boiled hot dogs and Bush's Baked Beans it would have more flavor. Here's an idea, you could take all that money off the walls and buy some lights and a decent Grille. ABSOLUTELY NO PLACE FOR CHILDREN. Just saying. PS. I've owned Harleys and right now I got a brand new Indian Chieftan sitting in my driveway. I'm no prude but I do know good food and friendly bars.

Leah E.

Yelp
Stopped by yesterday because I saw an event come up as a Facebook event for a pig roast. Unfortunately I only stayed for a few minutes before leaving. The lines were ridiculously long! Next time consider having a credit card line and a cash line.

Yelp
best place ever! we drive 45 minutes from vegas to come here on a weekly basis! the vibes are the best. andrea is amazing! we always come out to see her and have a great time! angela and chase are also such a good time! i love this bar!

Yelp
Omg best kept secret 30mins from vegas cool in summer, amazing and food. Entertaining and amazing. Recommended for a day trip away from vegas.
