Excellent experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left, we were greeted and served by owner’s wife which explained everything about their menu. We ordered a grilled cheese, the tomato soup and the shot rib sandwich and everything was incredible delicious.

Sabroso, we saw this place on Diners Drive-Ins and Dives a few years ago and finally found ourselves in the vicinity today to experience what Guy Fieri raved about. Well, the food lived up to the hype. My BBQ Chicken sandwich with blue cheese was delicious, the Pollo Chi Jao Kai Chicken sandwich was creative genius, the Lentil Tabouli Salad fresh, healthy and full of flavor. And we even got to taste the deserts. This place is 2 hours from home, but may become a regular for us. Wow, delicioso. I wish they would open in Naples

Perfectly cooked and seasoned ingredients blew my sister and I AWAY. Fried dumplings with passion fruit sauce, 5 stars. Fried cheese sliders with caramelized onion, 5 stars. Would go back for those alone. Asado Con Palta & Cebolla Frita, 7 stars. Heavenly combinations of flavors that are a treat for the senses. And yes, many different buns and they're all homemade (drooling). Can't wait to go back to try the Pollo Chi Jao Kai, oriental fried chicken thighs with pickled turnip and carrots. Don't wait, GO. Fantastic and wonderful Peruvian style sandwiches served by Mr Bun, he is the chef he greets you and takes your order while Mrs Bun takes care of the drink and your bill. You really can't ask for better service. This is a small restaurant located in the heart of West Kendall, clean, great decorations and overall nice ambiance. The restaurant has been featured in TV shows such as Guy Fieri's Diners Drive In's and Dives, local TV and wanna be youtubers channels, plenty of video review availables. I recommend the pork belly sandwich, just fantastic, if you want to try a dessert I would recommend the 4 leches of lucuma..just awesome. Our bill was a bit on the expensive side for a sandwich shop but overall well worth the price.

Fantastic food and service. We had the short rib sandwich, a pork belly sandwich and some awesome desserts. The place is decorated so nicely. They are full of humor and love. Will be back! Above comment was 4 years ago. Today the service (food) was slow. Our food didn't come out at the same time when we finally did get it and the food was just not quite as good. We live 2 hours away and was so looking forward to eating here again. Really wasn't worth the trip this time. So bummed.

Our next food adventure take us to Mr and Mrs Bun for dinner time, located in Kendall this Peruvian restaurant is a small local success but the decoration and music are adequate, every detail they used is in the right place so that when you eat enjoy it. With fresh ingredients and homemade daily baked this place offer an amazing experience for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything we ordered was delicious and different with such a perfect presentation in colors and flavors ready for a round of photos that I couldn't resist. We ordered 4 dishes. Sweet Potato Fries Spaghetti Pesto Rolls Fried Cheese Sliders Pancheta (Pork Belly) in the Chinese box and two dessert Passion Fruit Mousse Ferro Rocher Mousse I recommend everything we ordered and thanks to the customer service our waitress was very professional and friendly, offering the best option to choose from the menu.

After so many years this place is consistently still amazing. They've updated their menu and now they provide fresh smoothies that have no added ingredients that are delicious, healthy and 100% fruit. We had the passion fruit and blackberry smoothies. The pollo chi-jao kay sandwich which is their take on a Peruvian chifa dish in a sandwich is outstanding, crunchy and delicious and also Guy fieri approved! The asado con palta sandwich is also a classic stewed eye round Peruvian dish that they've turned into a sandwich which is amazing with crispy red onions and avocado. It's a must try. They have an incredible take on a lentil tabbouleh kale salad that you have to try and is very healthy and shareable with your sandwich. I know that there are other new things on the menu such as the Maple cumin corn which we will try on our next visit. The people that run this restaurant are so kind. This place is still making magical food so if you're reading this what are you waiting for? Come by and meet Mr. and Mrs. Bun and try their creative take on Peruvian food in sandwich form. Truly a culinary landmark that we're lucky to have in Kendall.

A quaint sandwich (and more) place in Miami. Came here before a photoshoot for some delicious food to fuel me through it and it was delicious. The restaurant itself is very small but lucky for us, there wasn't a wait. Its a little sit down restaurant with a lot of character with both the staff and the decorations. We were handed menus and I came with a local expert so he helped me navigate through the menu like a pro. We got a pitcher of sangria and a few bites to share- everything was so tasty! Can't wait to come back and try more things off the menu!

I've been meaning to stop by this place for YEARS and I finally popped in this weekend. To sum it up in one word: WOW. I can't believe such a delicious spot is so close by. I had the pollo chi jao kai and it was absolutely delicious. Each bite melted in my mouth. I went during happy hour and tried the sangria, it was pretty tasty! The Ferrero Rocher dessert was also delicious, I'll be ordering it again in the future. I didn't like the short rib dumplings, so I'll be trying a different appetizer next time. But the bottom line is, there WILL be a next time. So worth it to try all of the sandwiches. I'd also love to try the chupe de camaron. Another honorable mention is the staff: they're A-1 super helpful and sweet. I fully recommend trying out Mr. & Mrs. Bun if you're in the Kendall area, you will not regret it!

I love these kind of hidden gems! I went to lunch with my mom today and she took me to try out Mr. and Mrs. Bun. I'm a bread lover so I was excited! I had the boneless bbq chicken wing sandwich and my mom ordered the Jalea sandwich. We were both very happy with the flavors, the large portions and the delicious homemade buns. We ordered a side of sweet potato fries too, very good and a very generous serving. Not only was the food outstanding, the service was as well. It's a family fun business and everyone in the family was a part of the meal in some way. On top of the great service, you can tell this a genuinely nice family. Everyone was so gracious and very patient with us and our needs. I will definitely be back!

I have been going to this completely family owned restaurant for years, and they never fail to disappoint. I don't know why it took me so long to write a review about their great quality food and phenomenal home cooked taste. You could really see the owners put effort into making sure everything runs better than smooth with your meal . IGNORE all the negative comments... they MUST not be local or rather spend their dimes at a chain restaurant, such as five guys rather than support a fellow local, and family business .

5 stars isn't enough for this hidden gem! I just had the most incredible dining experience. The food was LOVE AT FIRST BITE! El Chupe transported me back to my grandma's kitchen - it was that good! Amazing, we loved loved this place. The food is incredible. We ordered the best soup i don't recall the name lol but it was amazing. All I remember is a Peruvian soup it's just amazing. Ask for it . We also ordered the short rib , jalea , asado con palta and pork belly sandwiches with side of fries. Everything again was amazing best sandwiches ever. To drink we had sangria and they were good as well and for desert we had a suspiro and wow loved it as well. They have HH everyday from 4-7 if I'm not mistaken so take advance because it's a great place!

Peruvian food featuring mile-high gourmet sandwiches (try the seafood or slow roasted round steak!), roasted tomato basil soup (amazing), delicious empanadas and so much more. A family run restaurant, owner Gian Carlos was featured on Guy Fieiri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives a few years ago! Try them, it's a great meal. PS my wife loved their Happy Hour Sangria too!

Well, I thought I was going to go in but after waiting 20 minutes from their scheduled opening time for someone to get here... it's just annoying, and rude. If as the owner, the time doesn't work for you, change it! I'm not from around here and was in the area, I've been wanting to come here since seeing it on DDD. When I realized they open in an hour I decided to wait. Got here at 11 when they should have opened according to the time on yelp, someone else stopped by and looked in... I waited another 20 minutes to see one person stroll in. I'm no longer interested in this place. ‍

My brother brought me here for a quick bite, and I was stunned that this place is in a strip mall. I just didn't know that it was discovered by Guy Fieri years ago. We got the Jalea (fish, shrimp, calamari) and the braised short rib sandwiches. They were both very good and flavorful in different ways. The jalea had the fish cooked tenderly but with the breading still crispy, and the seafood went well with the Cole slaw-like vegetables. The braised short rib was less rich which I appreciated but there was a smokiness to the meat that helped it from being simple. They were a mess to eat but I'd come again and try the other options. It is a little pricy at $17 each but I was full after the meal.

You ever go to a restaurant and want to give them an award? Well, if I had a trophy for service Mr & Mrs Bun would get it. This small restaurant is big in taste and service and atmosphere. We went to celebrate a birthday and got a myriad of dishes including chicharrones, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, chicken sandwiches and more. The service was quick, attentive and so wonderful. My friend told me that I had to go to this place if I was ever in Miami and I did. The place itself isn't too big of place and parking isn't an issue for the plaza. I came alone and was able to be seated right away by the hostess, who was very attentive. I ordered the braised short rib sandwich and the softshell crab BLT sandwich. Once it came out, my mouth was watering just from the sight of it. I'll start with the braised short rib. The meat just melts in your mouth and had just the right amount of sweetness. The softshell crab was perfectly crispy and tasty. I can't rave enough about this place. I need to come back to try their other sandwiches sometime.

After seeing this location on tv we decided to check it out. It's a very small place, not many table so not good for big parties. We order a empanada de asado, A pork belly sandwich, a the jalea sandwich and a order of chicharrón. The empanada was $7 and it was terrible. It's one big full of meat empanada. The empanada meat was dry and fridge cold in the inside. 1 out of 10 Non of the sandwiches come with a side and they are both $16-17. The pork belly was really good and full of meat. I would prefer for it to have some type of cheese or maybe some guava sauce. 8 out of 10. The jalea sandwich was delicious, definitely a favorite. All the seafood was krispy and there was a lot in there. Perfectly seasoned. 10 out of 10. The side of chicharrón was ok, nothing special. We liked the sprinkle paprika on it but I don't see the $8 worth. 6 out of 10. I would recommend to try.

The happy hour sample actually made me sick. Food is either too seasoned and fried or bland in taste. Sauces should pop out flavor and not there to add to a bland tasting app. I was so excited to try it but even the lentil salad I ordered was too salty! Guanábana smoothie was too sweet as well. This is a really cute local Kendall spot. I loved the queso frito sliders! I gave it 3 stars, because my son ordered the bbq chicken sandwich and the chicken was a bit on the pink side, and the fries were cold. Once I shared with the waiter, he had the sandwich remade and Refried the same batch of fries, which was a bit disappointing. I'm not sure I'll visit again, but it's worth checking it out at least once.

I've been to this place four times now and have tried different things from their menu. I like how they have a unique menu with some Peruvian food. It's mostly sandwiches, but you'll also find empanadas, soups and my favorite - desserts! I really enjoyed the different dishes I got to try, from an aji de Gallina empanada to short rib with horse radish and chimichurri sandwich. Now the sandwiches are huge! So if you do decide to get a side, you may not finish it all. I do recommend leaving room for dessert as their dessert is quite delicious. They are all in mason jars, which is great for taking home. I've tried at least two sets of Lucuma desserts, one was Lucuma Oreo and the other one I believe was a tres leches Lucuma. Lucuma is my absolute favorite, I love it in ice cream, mousse, cake etc.... For those who do not know, Lucuma is a fruit and you'll find this in Peru.

This is a hard one. I've been a fan of Mr & Mrs Bun since they first opened. They're less than 5 minutes from home, so we visit often. Last year, we mainly did take out with no major disappointment. But yesterday, we ordered UberEats. I never judge deliveries on temperature of the food or even sogginess. But the taste has to be there and it was just meh. The short rib was just off. This is one of our go to sandwiches and it was not right. Later on, we were proven right when our tummies complained. Another thing was that they actually sent us burned potatoes. Someone actually charred the potatoes and thought that it would be cool to pack it up and send it. This is another item that we order frequently and know what it looks & tastes like. The grilled cheese was ok. Not memorable. Not what a $10 grilled cheese should be. We will return. Because we know what they are capable of. I fully support small businesses. I'm just reviewing so they know what's happening. The owners were always there in the past, so I don't know if they're still present and aware. I really want them to stick around.

I can't believe I live down the street from Mr. & Mrs. Bun and this was my first time trying it! I'm so impressed by the amount of great hidden gems Kendall has to offer and this one did not disappoint. The restaurant inside is cute and the staff was super friendly. My mom and I were seated right away and ordered what the waitress recommended: the Pancetta ( Pork Belly ) en caja China and Short Rib sandwich. The pork belly was delicious, not too fatty, and it was paired with fried sweet potato chips. It was the perfect combination of sweet and savory. I had a bite of the short rib sandwich, and it was fantastic as well. Overall I'm so excited by this casual lunch spot with phenomenal food. I live close by, but I definitely think it's worth the drive for those who live far!

Disappointed. The idea of a Jalea sandwich is what drew me to this place in my new neighborhood. Unfortunately, it was a flop. The idea is amazing and I'm sure the original was good but... the bread was stale, dense, and hard. As for the seafood, the fish was acceptable but the calamari and shrimp were carelessly overcooked and chewy. For $17, I expect a MUCH better culinary experience. We started with the empanadas de aji de gallina and those were pretty good, more so for the buttery, pot pie-like crust than anything else. The server was friendly so I'll give kudos for that. All in all, I would not recommend this place to a friend.

I loved the vibe in this restaurant & the server was so welcoming. I ordered a frozen passionfruit lemonade and asado con palta sandwich. The presentation is 10/10. The lemonade was super refreshing. VERY sour but great flavor. The asado con palta is unbeatable. So heartly and flavorful. Some bites were a little less tender than others, however they definitely don't skimp on the meat. They did not have prices on their menu but I believe this sandwich is $18.99 as of today.

After a long time of not coming here, went back today and I was so disgusted. Sad to write down a local business like this, but hygiene in a restaurant is everything. And we were just finishing our sandwiches when I spot a tiny cockroach crawling on the table, then saw another crawling on the wall and ANOTHER one bigger this time crawling towards the table. We were disgusted and just stand up, paid our bill and left. There's no way I will go back to this place or recommend it. They need to solve this right now if they want to stay in business. It was not good!

This time we started with the tuna bruschetta(we always get this) and the queso frito sliders (first time) The sliders are incredible I will be getting them every time. The mix of those ingredients is spectacular. We had two sandwiches to share the bbq chicken and blue cheese. Usually not a fan of a sandwich with bbq sauce but the blue cheese makes it a great mix. The second sandwich pollo chi jao Kai really crispy refreshing highly recommend. For dessert we shared the tres leche marshmallow and the Ferrer mouse both where delicious. I would like the mouse more if the crumble of the crust throughout layered. One more thing paper towels in the bathroom is a must not a fan of the air dryer.

Have been meaning to try this place for a while. Started with the queso frito sliders which were so good, love the caramelized onions. Tried the asado burger which had really great flavor/sauce. Also tried the short rib- really loved the texture of the meat. Got the potato wedges which were nice and crispy and also tried the sweet potato fries that I really loved. All their sauces are good- loved the blueberry ketchup and the orange aioli which was a little spicy. Tried the Peruvian dessert and the Maracuya one, both awesome. Staff is super nice.
