6 Exciting Things To Do & Eat From January 12th-16th - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"There’s a brand new Happy Hour in Beverly Grove and it’s a good one. Mr. Furley’s opened in December 2021 on W. 3rd St. and brought an awesome space with dartboards, a pool table, and a big front patio with it. But it’s the Happy Hour that has our attention. Running daily from 5-8pm, you get a free drink (including specialty cocktails) for every two that you buy. No matter what part of town you’re in, that’s as good of a deal as you’ll find in LA." - Brant Cox

This place is such a nice local spot. The bartenders are amazing! absolutely love Marco and John. Their food is so good. May I suggest the buffalo chicken tenders 🤤 I actually haven’t had anything on the menu that I haven’t liked yet. But the tenders are definitely my favorite.

After security checked my ID I sat at the bar and it was not the most welcoming from a member of staff. She asked which if I wanted to open a tab. I told her no both times. The vibe was on point but customer service needs to be tightened up.

Friendly little neighborhood spot. Good price on drinks, buy 2 get one free. Light happy hour fare from the kitchen. Darts. One pool table. Friendly staff. Time to bring back women only restrooms.

The older lady with the blonde hair hung up in my face for asking about mozzarella stick. I called back upset with her behavior and when I came I spoke to security who apologized and was polite about everything. While I was eating and I enjoyed two of the services the older lady had me escorted from the restaurant. I hope she is dealt with because she went out of her way to spread pure negativity and hide her hand and never once did she apologize. I will not return and I think it’s best they let her go for her behavior. The ratings is for the two working tonight they were super cool and nice and the security the one probably I had was the older lady with blonde hair she just start that said she was working June 11th at11:19pm and she was super rude and mean on the phone I don’t see why you would allow someone who is paying to be treated poorly. I think she is spiritually unwell. I see other reviews it looks like it’s a racial thing because only black women have said that they have been treated wrong at the place. I want to make sure this is noted. They also threaten the security guard but the lady was being rude on the phone she deserves to be let go

We came a few months ago and had a great time so we returned tonight specifically to play to some pool and have some drinks. There was about twenty people in bar yet they had the volume up on the lakers game so loud, we truly could not hear each other standing less than a foot apart. It was truly comical how loud they were blasting the volume, we decided to leave after one drink and when trying to close out we noticed almost everyone was too. We had asked the bartender to lower the volume as we couldn’t hear each other speak, he responded “too bad”. It was clear they wanted the bar to empty out so they blasted the volume until everyone left. Great news is we found a bar down the street and they were great so we won’t be back. As someone who’s worked in the service industry for ten years, if your employees are actively trying to stop customers from patronizing your business then it’s time for a change.

Bartender wouldn't even acknowledge us although we were the only ones at the bar top. Went it yesterday around 5:30 and we received no acknowledgement throughout our whole time there. We sat at the bar and the female bartender with tattoos helped everyone around us and not once did she greet us or attempted to take our order. It wasn't busy to be so blatantly ignored. After 15 minutes of waiting to get her attention we decided to leave. Horrible experience. If I could give zero stars I would. Take your money elsewhere.

I was there on a Friday happy hour. A male bartender's service quality was no good. Overall, it was a blah place. I dont thi k theyll last very long. Won't be back.

Google
Something iffy about a bar with plastic glasses... They are not great for cocktails, but that's what this place does? The food was decent. Drinks are not bad. Bartenders were nice.

Yelp
Went exactly at some time on Tuesday, first in the restaurant and greeted by the bartender. Their happy hour consist of buy 2 drink get third for free which works out great cause we were there of us. We tried The Mr. Furley (really good), Crazy Larry (okay), Old Fashion (on spot), and altered Moscow Mule to Kentucky (also great). For finger food we ordered chicken quesadilla (amazing), pretzels (very nice) and chips and guac (not bad). The place was nice and the music was mix of old and new which we enjoyed. Not too loud either. We started with outside seating and moved inside once it got cold (LoL). They have a pool table for $16 and hour. We also tried this new beer they had called delirium tremens (yes, that is the beers name!). Very good beer! I would go there again for happy hour or after and try other food and drinks. Recommended for anyone looking to have some chill experience and wind down.

Yelp
STEPH JUDGEMENT: Friendly bartenders, with happy hour 7 days a week! We decided to hang out at this place before a show at the Largo since they also had food. We were intrigued by the name, which is a reference to an old 70s-80s sitcom called Three's Company. Those of a certain age will remember that show very well. Aside from the name of the bar and some drink names, however, there's nothing else that alludes to that show, which we thought was rather strange, but oh well. The interior was quite nice, looking newly renovated, with lots of white tile, marble, and dark wood. We took advantage of their happy hour and tried the following drinks: - Recall Beagle - The Mr. Furley - Crazy Larry - Rum a knock on our door - Mrs Roper shot (as a cocktail) - El Gyapo (hubby's whoopsie--NOT threes company related) We also tried their food: - Veggie Pizza (lots of veggies) served with ranch - Roasted cauliflower served with carrots and celery and ranch The drinks and food were good, and since we were early we had a nice time chatting with the friendly bartender. She could not shed any light on why the bar had that theme, but it seemed like a minor point. Whether you care at all about Three's Company, this is a nice bar. I imagine we'll revisit this place the next time we're in the area!

Yelp
I absolutely love this place. The vibe, ambiance and staff are phenomenal. The drinks are creative, fun, pack a punch and downright tasty. I do wish they offered a few more vegan options but at least they have chips and guac. They offer potato chips as a side with some of their menu items so you can ask to just purchase the chips. The pretzel can also be modified by asking them not spray it with butter. They have plenty of seating as well as a pool table and dart boards. Fridays can get kind of busy due to the after work crowds so I try to avoid that night. Wish they would open a tad bit earlier on Saturday so I could get my drink on earlier but I still love the place.

Yelp
Really cool bar with great happy hour! Drinks-great deals! Whiskey sours are always my go to. Food- not so great. Chicken is a little watery, not so much flavor. Mozzarella sticks is are great. Parking- they have a structure but we got our cars towed because we parked after 10 pm.
google avatar

Yelp
I have always loved going here for their nacho cups (used to be so good..! And darts but last night was OFF. Maybe the kitchen was trying to get out QUICK and cooked everything on super high heat or left things in the oven too long because the meat on the nachos was overcooked and dry and inedible. Incredibly salty. Same with the wings..so tough and dry. And salty!! I NEVER spit out food. (Photo uploaded..) I truly ate just because I was in need of eating something and the service wasn't even there to check on me or really care about my feedback when I was able to give it to them. I don't think I'll be coming back to this neighborhood bar of mine..and this used to be a go to for late night food. The quality has totally changed. The BBQ sauce isn't even BBQ I don't know what that is.

Yelp
Mr. Furley can be my friend! This bar is a chill mix of a sports bar and a fun casual hangout with friends. They have great drinks with fun drink names and the prices for a bar in the area are fantastic! "Happy hour" is basically all night and that makes the pricing even better. Very chill weekday crowd and the bartenders are super friendly and quick. It says "lower your expectations" but you can keep them fairly up there when coming here! We also got nachos and a personal pizza both were above average for bar food! Overall really cool place we'd come back for sure!

Yelp
The environment was soooo chill and giving all the vibes. Drinks we amazing and strong, food came on time and delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was honestly so much better than you would expect for a dive bar. And every third drink is free!
google avatar

Brizylla A.

Yelp
I've caught a few dodger games here. I do think I would expect more given that's in West Hollywood. Pool tables are not first come first serve, and I wish they bad a better food options on the menu. Cocktails are just okay and have too much ice. Giving it three stars because at least they do have a happy hour menu!

Yelp
Mr Furley's is truly one of my favorite spots in LA. I hosted my birthday party here and they were so friendly and accommodating for everyone. We were able to bring our own cake/cupcakes in and everyone had their own tab going at the bar while we hung out in the small outdoor space which was perfect for a party. My top two favorite things are the Mozzarella Sticks and the Nachos Quatro. I tell EVERYONE about these two - the Nachos Quatro is a brilliant way to ensure that you get all the good stuff in the nachos in every bite, and the Mozzarella Sticks are literally sticks cut off a block of mozzarella. Unreal. The Bavarian Pretzel gets an honorary mention as well - I'm a sucker for a good bar pretzel! When I need a chill spot to meet friends, this is where we go. Don't miss out - come to Mr. Furley's.

Yelp
Stopped by here cause toca madera across the street was fill, even for bar seating. Blown away by the recommended beef skewers - it's grilled ribeye, only $10. Such a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed it more than the steaks I had recently Guacho Grill Steakhouse, and to be quite frank, more than half of steaks houses I've been to for a heftier price. George was awesome with his service. Appreciated the effort to make small talk with me cause I was sitting solo to kill some time.

Yelp
Tevna was a great bartender!! Very polite and friendly and the service was quick and fast! Deff recommended 10/10
google avatar

Stephanie V.

Yelp
Best mozzarella sticks ever! All their food is homemade from SCRATCH. It's a perfect balance between a thin batter and goey fresh mozzarella stick cut from the block. The bartender explained how all the food is made and is truly homemade. Prices are unbeatable for the area and quality is the best. They have a pool table, two dart stations, lots of seating available and TVs. Low key bar, come hang out, have a drink, and eat some good food. I crave these mozzarella sticks because they are legit so I have to come get my fix lol... but their food is dine in only. It's worth while. Th Clean restrooms, good service, good food. Street parking for the most part. Garage parking nearby but I'd recommend street parking.

Yelp
Been here a few times over the years of me living near by. Very cool and friendly staff. Shout out to Shaun the bouncer, Adam and the bartenders, whom names I forgot. Over all this place is a cool vibe. Food is good for a bar. The few drinks I've had are good as well. I'd recommend for a good friend hang or a date.
google avatar

Yelp
Ooof. Really wanted to like this place, especially after losing 3rd Stop. Concept could have been brilliant- what's better than three's company? However, vibe is not there, and bartenders would rather be anywhere else. Pool tables are not first come first serve, they are done by a clandestine list behind the bar. Highly recommend Founders Alehouse on pico for better atmosphere .

Yelp
I can't quite understand how this place has great reviews. I've been here multiple times and somehow dislike it more with each visit. Frankly I only come here because 3rd stop closed and it's walkable from cedars and somewhat affordable. Aka it's where everyone goes now and I have no choice. First, I absolutely hate that they keep your ID and your card to keep a tab open. It's ridiculous. Also what kind of establishment does not offer or even have utensils?? No plates, no utensils, no problem? It's absurd. I literally brought plastic cutlery myself last time. The bartenders could not care less, zero personality, slow service. Vibes are just off here. I don't get it.

Yelp
They tell you like it is at Mr. Furley's and I am so into it. The drinks are cheap and to the point, the food is actually so good, and the music was great the whole time. Order at the bar and make sure to keep your tab open because you'll be back to grab another drink or add some more food. Especially with the unreal happy hour deal for buy 2 get 1 free drinks!! Adam at the bar was incredible. He makes a great whiskey sour, fun shots, and takes care of everyone. The food also hit the spot. We got the nachos which are actually kind of like mini tostadas. Adam described it like it's a perfect bite each time and he was so right. Also tried the bavarian pretzel, mozzarella sticks, and fries. Way better than expected. I guess overall from the outside I thought it would be much more divey, but Mr. Furley's was just a great spot to spend a few hours. I sat in the little outdoor area by the front. They still have a TV out there so you're not missing out but a little easier to talk. There's pool and darts inside, and apparently a small room in the back that you can reserve if you call ahead. This was my kinda place, Adam was my kinda bartender, and I can't wait to consider myself a regular.

Yelp
Will most definitely be returning. Nothing is more comforting to me than when a restaurant keeps it real. You pretty much know exactly what you're getting at this establishment. They are open late (kitchen till about 1am), which is amazing for those of us who work late! They mostly offer bar food, and basic cocktails, but hey, you know what you're getting! Staff was kind, and the space offers pool and darts. I asked the bartender for a salt rim on my margarita-esque drink, to which he kindly said, "it's not really that kind of place." This made me giggle. Chicken tenders- Yes Beef skewers- yes Roasted cauliflower- nope, go somewhere else for your vegetables The best way to take advantage of this place is its happy hour and late night offerings! I say go for it! You'll have laughs and tasty bar bites.
google avatar

Virginia A.

Yelp
Such a cool and laid back vibe! It's spacious and people there know it's the spot to hang out and catch up! They have a fantastic happy hour!!! 5pm to 9pm!! Never seen a happy hour run so long! Their drinks are great too!! I love their motto!! " don't have high expectations - Mr. Furleys " Their pizza, wings and chicken tenders were all delicious! Service was nice! We had to go to the bar to place our order but that was no big deal honestly didn't take away from the place.

Cupcake Q.

Yelp
I love this spot for drinks, and like that are open late! And the food is delicious for a sports bar. It's honestly a hidden gem in Weho. The staff is always great, we go mostly on Mondays for Priscilla and just love her!

Yelp
Showed up tonight with 6 of my colleagues. All first time Furleys people that work in the hospitality industry. (Fairmont Hotels) Have been telling the team about this being my local spot for years and John delivered better than I could ever ask. He introduced himself and made me feel like a legend, then proceeded to hand me the billiards balls as he knows I like to play. Thank you John! Think you have 6 new customers.

Yelp
Happy hour deal are so worth it!! Buy two get one free I'm getting carried out with those prices. Buffalo Wings are delicious (And I'm very picky about my wings) always Chill vibes here. You have to try it out if you're in the area!

Yelp
Came in on a Tuesday evening. Security at the door was welcoming and helpful. The two bartenders were great; one doing it old school, dispensing "vintage" jokes alongside the cocktails. The HH special of buy 2, get 1 free sounds great to the skinflint in me but not the liver in me. But whadda gonna do, not stay for the third drink? No, I might not, so is it really that special? Also, I've been trying different cocktails and beers lately so don't dig being locked in to the one drink to make the "deal" work. My main dissatisfaction came from the darts experience. I've been searching for a go-to bar with darts. Of the 3 so far, this barely qualifies for a podium finish. One, you need to pay for the board at a rate of $5/half hour. Regardless of how busy it is or level of demand. Tolerable but not a great start. Two, the signage implies that you can't use your own darts. Fine. I get that you don't know the condition of other people's darts but if someone is toting around a set of their own, how bad can they be? Three, their darts are horrible. HORRIBLE. The amount of times it would hit the board only to bounce back since the point was so dull was ridiculous. It was maddening. They are also shorter and lighter than standard darts. They need to replace them tout suite. The boards themselves are fine and their placement works. I don't usually give a low rating but was told recently that's the only way to motivate change from owners. Hope to be able to revise this review soon.

Ray S.

Yelp
I understand that bars require ID, but I am a 65-year-old man who was refused service because I did not have my license with me. I just wanted to eat outside with my family. I literally walked around the corner to get something to eat. I live in the neighborhood and I've never been treated so disrespectfully. The bouncer and all of the staff were sitting around doing nothing. I was rejected immediately. For a neighborhood bar, it is not welcoming at all. The bouncer was incredibly rude. I do not recommend going to this place.
google avatar

Ronnie H.

Yelp
I enjoy the ambience, especially the little outdoor place, on the side. It has a roof over its head. But if you don't like sports like me, and you go there with a man he can watch from his side on the TV and I can just sit there and enjoy life. Do they have a St. Patrick's Day special going on? I hope so.
google avatar

Janson L.

Yelp
Food was great. Service was awesome! John provided exceptional service. Friendly vibe.
google avatar

Trinny T.

Yelp
Finally Mr. Furley's comes closer to me! Parking is easy to find. The lot next door charges $5 for 5 hrs before 10pm. I always come only for happy hour (5-9pm according to the board inside, not 8pm). The food is the same as the other Furley's. My favorite is always the beef skewers. The drink is more expensive now? I remember only paying $8-$9 back then. They are now $10-$11. They are still buy 2 get 1 free during happy hour. I think the food got more expensive than last year. But then inflation has all prices increased. George was a great and nice bartender. He tried to make conversation with everyone, cleaned up dishes and counter constantly, refilled our water when they are empty without asking. I came on Saturday evening so maybe because they weren't too crowded. I will definitely come back because the drinks are delicious

Yelp
We saw Westside Story Burlesque in Beverly Hills and decided to try the bar afterwards for late night snacks and drinks. It was well saturated with various bar patrons from an obnoxious lady who kept laughing very loudly any time the guy she was with made a comment to quieter people. I ordered the chicken skewers with chimichurru sauce and Buffalo wings. My total was 20. The food was okay. The drinks are probably rocking. We will return to try some. This establishment is great for groups and they are open late which is rare for LA hot spots. Parking is a bit tricky. We parked in the lot next door and had to find our way out as they locked it up. Overall, good vibes and good service. This deserves a repeat.

Yelp
We have a last-minute cancellation with the reservation at a different venue for our event (the venue has decided to not respond after confirming). Adam, the manager at Mr. Furley, helped me at the last-minute to set up the event (literally have less than 12 hours to organize). He made our event quite successful and was so accommodating all through out! The food and ambiance is superb! The best part - our bill came out so reasonable! Thanks so much and looking forward to more events at Mr. Furley's!
google avatar

Zach B.

Yelp
Second time here. First time was only built by the guy subbing from another location. It's probably a fine watering hole but the tequila selection is trash and due to that I asked for a gin martini, to which the bartender replied "we don't have olives". I have to tell her vermouth was just fine. ?????????????????????????? What're basics anyways?
google avatar

Janina S.

Yelp
This is the first time I am here. One of my coworkers suggests so bad that we decided to come here for the last gathering of a good friend. Usually we go to b something that place ok. Food and drinks were average price plus tip. I enjoy Mr. Furley hospitality. It has a pool table. Also an other wall game super mega cool, fun. I had a lot of fun in this establishment I definitely go back. Parking is terrible. But use the meters of of course if you want pay for valet parking not big deal.

Yelp
Randomly found this bar while searching for one. Went around 6 pm, perfect for happy hour. Happy hour is from 5-9pm, buy 2 drinks and get 1 free. We had the watermelon shots & they were delicious. Played a round of darts 1st hour is free to play, same as the pool table. Bartenders were cool & Music was good too!
google avatar

Sasha G.

Yelp
I come here all the time because of the bartenders on the vibes!!!! Adam, Holly, John, Crystal and Victoria are amazing bartenders! The deals are amazing and i love coming here any day of the week. Pool and darts are also assessable which i loveeeee. Yayyyy furleys my new spot!!!
google avatar

Liz V.

Yelp
We had a great date night here! It's decorated really nicely for the holidays. The lights are dim, there's some music & TVs with sports. It's a great vibe- I love when it still feels casual and not overwhelmingly sports. They have darts and pool tables. Happy hour is buy 2 get 1 free and they do it by tab so you don't have to buy 3 drinks right away. We had their Moscow mules and a version of an Aperol spritz and really enjoyed them. We loved the food (Buffalo wings with a great blue cheese dressing, burger, pretzel & basket of fries). The staff is awesome and super friendly & helpful. The prices are great and it feels like a small town bar. They made us free shots for forgetting to enter the fries at first. We will make this our frequent date night spot for sure!

Yelp
amazing best cheesesteak outside of philadelphia my boyfriend and i will be coming back. maggie is the best bartender!!

Yelp
I came here with my friends after a long day at the beach. We wanted to keep the good vibe going and we were a little hungry so we scooted over to Mr. Furley's Bar. The first thing I did was go to the restroom to wash my hands while my two other friends saved me a seat at the bar. The bathrooms were so clean! The ambiance was great and let's not forget about the chicken fingers and Bavarian Pretzels.... So so good as far as bar food goes, I was not disappointed. Our bartender Adam, ( the older gentleman with the Monocole) was just what we all needed to close out our great day of Summer vibes in LA. Adam was not only funny, attentive and kind.... He makes a great drink! If you haven't yet, you should! This place checks off all the boxes. Thank you Adam!
google avatar

Christopher H.

Yelp
Loved playing pool, but $16 for the first hour was insane! Also, the darts a terrible!!! So blunt! That being said, Adam and Maggie were amazing. They will be the only reason I come back. Thank you to the bar staff for making the night better.
google avatar

Terrence Michael L.

Yelp
I wish they had delivery/pick-up but they have dine-in only, if I remember correctly. The place has a great size, things to do, a great theme, and some of the BEST value for bar food anywhere I've ever seen in LA. Definitely will continue to return many times in the future!
google avatar

Mel D.

Yelp
Cute little bar with cheap drinks, especially during happy hour (buy 2 drinks, get 1 free) - great strategy! The drinks are around $11 which is a great price considering the location. I asked for a skinny margarita but they didn't have the right ingredients to make it so I opted for one of the drinks on their list which has a Three's Company theme. There are many TV's around the bar playing various sports but it was hard to concentrate on the game when the music was blasting (hard rock) which gave me a huge headache. Usually bars playing sports keep the music at a lower volume (for background) and later in the evening it gets louder. I was there around 6pm and the loud rock music, some heavy metal type was unbearable. Since it's not a hard rock cafe, I wish they'd at least play a variety of music for the diverse group of patrons hanging out & at a volume where ear plugs aren't necessary. There's good potential for this bar but with so many great bars in the area, I don't think this is one I'd go back to mainly because of the awful overly loud music while trying to watch sports.
google avatar

Martin G.

Yelp
Love this place. Even though it's located in a nice area the food and drinks are very affordable. The variety of games you can play are fun. The crowd is amazing the service is awesome. Drinks are decent but worth the price. Highly recommend this place
google avatar

Merrill O.

Yelp
I'd been wanting to try this bar for ages, and now that we finally went I can't believe it took me so long! Bartender was friendly, food was good, darts were played, and best of all....buy 2 get 1 free happy hour!! I mean, c'mon!! You can't beat that in that neighborhood. We'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Ben K.

Yelp
I love this sports bar. The food and drinks here are all great and reasonably priced, and for added value, their happy hour specials are the best in the area. I would highly recommend this place to watch your game. The whole place has to order at the bar (no waitresses) so the bar seating area can get crowded with people just trying to order. It's not crazy, but be warned if you plan to sit at the bar.
google avatar

Vicky F.

Yelp
Such a nice spot to stop by for a drink. George was the best bartender I've ever met! That's why you do wanna tip the stuff and come back to the place! He is literally made my evening tonight'! So professional and amazing care. Thank you again! Will be definitely get back

Yelp
Mr Furley's is a fun spot to grab some casual food and drink. They have a good happy hour that lasts from 5pm-9pm--but 2 drinks, get 1 free. The Sexi Terri is delicious--it's basically an Aperol Spritz. The chicken fingers and mozzarella sticks are both delicious and come with plenty of dips (hot sauce, honey mustard, ranch, and bbq for the chicken fingers and ranch and marinara for the mozzarella). The pretzels come with cheese sauce and mustard. And the cauliflower comes with ranch. All of the food and drink is relatively inexpensive, especially for Los Angeles. The portions and serving sizes are not huge, but it's overall a pretty good deal. We ordered at the bar, and the food came out within 10-15 minutes of ordering. There is plenty of seating and they have a small outdoor patio. Plus plenty of TVs and a pool table.

Yelp
The old bartender was not polite. I was sitting and watching the game taking it easy on my drink (it was a Monday night - no need to get hammered) and he calls me out in front of people for "nursing my drink" - i had the drink for just 10mins. And so what? If i don't finish my drink, that's my choice as a customer. I kindly requested for a little more tonic - again my preference as a customer but your bartender felt insulted bc i had a preference for my drink. Do i not have the right as a paying customer?? He then tries to offer all my friends free shots then singles me out. I honestly did not care if i had a free shot or not but he was bullying me! This is the WORST bar service i've ever had.
