Best Restaurant Bars in NYC | Eater NY

"A contemporary Greek restaurant and listening bar in one, Mr. Melo is a sultry space with a dimly lit bar in Williamsburg. Grab a perch here to enjoy the Yiya cocktail, designed to mimic the flavor of tzatziki with its olive oil- and dill-infused gin. You’ll also be treated to a shot called the nip, featuring extra batches of cocktails, and get to try the bar munchies, a combination of potato noodles, sesame sticks, and walnuts doused with vadouvan, sugar, and other Indian spices." - Shivani Vora

The NYC Bar Hit List: Great New Bars In NYC

"All the current trends, all in one place. Mr. Melo is a new vinyl listening bar in Williamsburg where you can (and should) drink a savory martini made with olive and feta brine. On our most recent visit, the guest DJ was playing ‘80s electro-funk, and the intimate space grew progressively dimmer as the night went on. Grab a small table along the back wall, then snack on a vegan caesar while you drink a few fancy Long Island Iced Teas. This already appears to be a certified go-to first date spot." - bryan kim, will hartman, willa moore, sonal shah, neha talreja, molly fitzpatrick

Mr. Melo - Review - Williamsburg - New York - The Infatuation

"Saxophone solos sound better on vinyl, especially when layered over a soothing EDM beat. Get your fill at Mr. Melo, a Williamsburg listening bar that hosts guest DJs Wednesday through Saturday. Lit by tiny amber spotlights, the room is lined with a few serious-looking speakers and a row of tables where folks on dates chat over the sounds of jazz pianist Gap Mangione. It seems like most people here just do drinks, although you can try some Greek-inspired bites, like a crispy eggplant sandwich or a basket of fries topped with roughly one cubic meter of tzatziki. The latter pairs well with the feta brine martini, which tastes like if the ocean were cheesy. photo credit: Nikolas Vanegas" - Bryan Kim

NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"At this new listening bar in Williamsburg, you can eat “drunk Greek fries” while drinking a feta brine martini and listening to vinyl records through vintage speakers. The loungey space has two bars with amber lighting, an emphasis on interesting cocktails, and a few snacky bites." - Will Hartman, Willa Moore
