These guys are awesome! Easy ordering, great pricing for gourmet pizza. Clean and friendly! Delicious pizza!!

Everything went well as we ordered a large pizza 🍕 with half pepperoni and the other half was cheese. The pizza was great out of the oven as it was warm, greasy and delicious. We also tried a garlic knot and a pepperoni jalapeño knot which were both great. We will be back

Con: Small parking lot, but it is shared with other stores. Pricing is an issue, but they are not shy with the toppings. Pro: u can get by the slice w drink. App/rewards program. A nice “Hole in the wall area”

This pizza was very delicious and flavorful! The reason why we took a star away was because we waited over 45 minutes for our buffalo chicken wings. This was on Saturday 03/15/25 around 8pm so we were there waiting till their closing time. They gave us 6 extra wings to compensate, so that was considerate. The ambiance and music is good too!

It's my first time in point Loma and this is the first restaurant I have tried that was recommended by a friend. This place is amazing. I had the chorizo pizza, the crust on the pizza is absolutely phenomenal. The toppings are top-notch and the overall flavor of this is just wonderful. Service was great. Food came out quickly. If you come here, try their hazy IPA it is delicious. Pizza and a 32 oz beer with a tip was about 60 bucks but well it's worth it.

We ordered pizza and garlic knots, but they forgot to give us the garlic knots. Since our stomachs were full from eating pizza, we canceled the order for garlic knots.

1300 Tuesday Ordered two slices and a drink 11.50 Both slices were warmed up in a oven after ordering and came out crisp and the perfect temperature. Pepperoni - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very solid version of the American classic. Some people might complain that there is too much grease, but that is where the flavor is. Red Chunky Mess - ⭐⭐⭐ 3 stars isn't a bad thing! Its a clean pizza this is 4 stars when you get a solid pocket of the tomato in a bite. Will definitely be coming back to try more varieties.

I don't know if something happened, but it took 1 hour to get two slices of cheese pizza. It looks like they are making pizza but no one in here is getting their pizzas. Other customers have are talking to each other wondering where the pizzas are. The pizza was good but the wait time was unacceptable. We came here to get our kids a quick pizza by the slice, and we were here forever. Don't come here if you don't want to wait hours for a slice of pizza.

Service was great, Art has amazing Aura. Very busy and long wait but well worth it! Upon initial inspection of the pizza, I found that the crust was crispy yet caring. The first bite of pizza was to say the least exquisite. can only truly be judged by its cheese pizza. and yet I found myself possibly falling in love with said pizza. I love the 'Art' of the pizza. Titties and Beer.

Stopped in randomly and was very pleasantly surprised. Really really good pizza, tasted like they use very fresh ingredients. Great variety of options, I enjoyed every one I tasted. Service was also wonderful, very quick, helpful, and accommodating even with our larger group. Indoor and outdoor seating options, good music, very nice and clean, they even have a bunch of Halloween decorations! 10/10 recommend to all pizza lovers

I decided to update my review for Mr. Moto since I have ordered from them a few more times since. I think right now it is my favorite pizzeria to order from in the area. I like that they make so many different varieties of pizzas for various tastes and dietary needs. As a family, our go-to is usually pepperoni, but, personally, I really enjoy all of their specialty and veggie-forward pizzas. At times, it seems like they have a "specialty pizza of the month" and once we ordered it. It had a few different meats and veggies with hot honey and it was delicious. Most recently, we had a gathering at our home with about 20 people, some of them children, and wanted to order a variety so that everyone would be happy. We ordered a pepperoni, a cheese, a deluxe (The Wave), and the most popular, the Mission Blvd (spinach, artichoke and cartelized onion, tomatoes and garlic). I had called ahead and spoke to a staff member to find out the sizes of the pizzas. I also learned that we could order large-sized salads off the catering menu. She was pretty helpful and told me that the large pizzas had 8 slices. I would actually ask them to cut it in 10-12 pieces in the future, as the slices were way too big for the kids. It would also have been nice for the adults to have a couple of smaller slices to be able to try a couple of different types of pizza. Also, the salad bowls (regular and Cesar) were bigger than I thought, and we had so much left over. I placed the order early in the day and selected my time for delivery. The food came on time and it was fresh, hot, and enjoyed by everyone. I do look forward to trying more of their specialty pizzas in the future.

I'll start off by saying the pizza at Mr. Moto is amazing--some of the best I've ever had. I've tried many of their pizzas, and all of them were fantastic. They are a bit pricey if you're going for a whole pie, but definitely worth it for the quality. That being said, the location we visited didn't meet the usual Mr. Moto standards. I've been to several of their locations, including one outside of San Diego, and this one just didn't compare. It wasn't very busy when we walked in. There was a small group of three sitting and waiting on their food, a couple outside finishing up, and one person in line ahead of us. We weren't greeted upon entering, which felt a bit off. The team seemed a little disorganized and overwhelmed--possibly due to online orders? As we waited our turn, we noticed a lot of flies around the restaurant, including near the pizza slices on display. When it was finally our turn, the person at the register had to step away to deliver an order to a table. When he returned, he casually took our order. I chose a slice that luckily didn't have any flies nearby. I also asked for ranch, which he didn't hear the first time, so I had to repeat myself and was then charged for it. We sat down to wait, and although the food didn't take too long, the tables clearly needed to be wiped down. The whole space felt like it needed a refresh--especially considering the number of flies. The bathroom also wasn't in the best condition. Overall, the pizza was absolutely delicious, as always. But I'd highly recommend visiting a different location--maybe Pacific Beach, Mission Valley, or North Park--if you're nearby.

I should have written this two weeks ago. I have eaten Pizza from Mr. Moto, but this review isn't about food, it is about customer service and integrity. Outside of the restaurant, there are benches that wrap around the corner. Customers can use these benches but I believe they belong to the city. I live close by and use the benches often. I was sitting there a couple of weeks ago enjoying the community. A short while after I got home I realized my phone did not follow me back. I used the phone finding app and sure enough, I left it by those benches. I ran back down there but the phone was gone. I had no hope that I would get my phone back. I didn't inquire about my phone with any of the local businesses there including Mr. Moto. I thought why would they have it, I really wasn't that close to any business. Everyone was telling me to inquire at Mt. Moto's. I thought it was a waste of time. After a few days and more out of curiosity and frustration, I called Mr. Moto. Sure enough, they had my phone. Unbelievable! It wasn't in their restaurant or even close to the door to their business. I hadn't even been there that day. Whoever picked it up, a Mr. Moto employee, exemplifies integrity. Doing the right thing even when no one is looking! They went above and beyond. I congratulate that person who had the courage to stoop down and pick up the phone so as to keep it safe. In fact, I celebrate the entire Point Loma Mr. Moto team. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Mr. Moto Pizza, not just a place for tasty cuisine, but also a place one feels secure and safe. Kudos to Mr. Moto.

There was a coupon in the newspaper for 50% off pizzas on Mondays when you use the code Monday50. I was excited to have my pizza tonight while watching the game. I tried to order using the coupon code and it wouldn't work. I called the restaurant and the line was busy until the fourth try. I told the employee that I was having trouble using the coupon and he said that the coupon wasn't valid this month. I told him that it was in the paper last week in January and he said that it was an error and it was only valid in December. I asked him nicely if he would honor it this one time and he said NO. Needless to say, I was sad and disappointed. Don't you think they should have given me a break?? This shows poor judgment on the part of management. I guess they don't care if they lose customers. I can't afford $30 for a pizza so I managed to throw a dinner together with stuff I had in my freezer. But no pizza for my family tonight.

Very good quality pizza made to taste good not just look good like most others. Uses a tasty small diameter cup-n-char pepperoni and it makes a big difference. Parking can be difficult.

Pizza here is delicious. I like to stop by here to grab a few slices on my way to pick up my kid fr daycare. I always receive great service and the workers are really nice. Definitely my go to spot for pizza in the area and I highly recommend this spot.

I was craving some pizza and didn't know where to go around my area. Thanks to Yelp, I found this pizza chain nearby and decided to check it out! The location I went to is located next to the UPS Store and iPolish San Diego in Bellamar Point Loma on the corner of Rosecrans St and Byron St. There is no designated parking lot, only street parking which could be a pain to find a stall at around nighttime as the streets are usually taken from residential parking. I got a slice of their Mr. Moto and Furious Diablo with one Garlic Knot. The pizza slices were soooo good. The pizza were thin but full of flavor in which I couldn't get enough of. The Mr. Moto was definitely a favorite because of the little spiciness from the sausage (huge sausage lover in pizzas) and blend of flavors. I realized then I really liked the burrata cheese on my pizza because of the way it melts and blends in with the regular cheese. YUM! The Furious Diablo with the ranch, mmm. Can't go wrong with that at all. The garlic knot wasn't fresh but after throwing it in the airfryer oven "freshened" it back up! It was filled with garlic butter which was soooo good. A great combination to have with the pizza slices! I came back another time and got their Mamma Moto large pizza to share with my boyfriend. There was no protein besides the melted burrata cheese (burrata again, hehe). What intrigued me was the truffle oil. I have a huge love for truffle items, so I was looking forward to trying this out! Unfortunately, the truffle oil was quite muted. The pizza itself, though, was really good. Flavor profile from this shop hits so well! The cherry tomatoes gave the pizza a slice sweetness with the muted truffle oil. Overall, a really great place to stop by for pizza. I don't usually crave pizza but this chain really hit the spot for me. Definitely will be back for more of their Mr. Moto and maybe their flavor of the month in the future!

Love the pizza and usually good service but check your receipt. I was charged over 15.5% sales tax today and it didnt seem to be much of a concern to them when brought up.

SLICE OF CARBS (4.5 stars) Of all the locations, I'd have to say this is the newer and the favorite. - FOOD: good - PRICE: fair - SERVICE: good - AMBIANCE: small, clean, and the wall decor is cool Mr. Moto (all locations) participate in the TGTG program and this is the location I always select to pick up my Surprise Bag because it's the cheapest $3.99 compared to the other location's price. I usually come here after playing Tennis... why not restore the carbs that were depleted?! It's a routine for me... play for a couple hours and then head over and get pizza. They tend to give the same things in the surprise bag (1 garlic knot, 2 slice of 2 different flavors). I cannot complain, it's still super good! :: SURPRISE BAG $3.99 :: 2 slices two different flavors / 1 garlic knot FURIOUS DIABLO - garlic chicken, buffalo sauce, homemade ranch, on their homemade garlic paste base. I've gotten this flavor in my surprise bag every time. ROCKY MOUNTAINS - meatballs, ricotta cheese, spicy honey, and oregano on their homemade marinara base. Good! CALIFORNIA LOVE - bacon, chicken, homemade ranch, caramelized onions, on their homemade garlic paste base. Good but I don't like caramelized onions so much. GARLIC KNOTS - their homemade ranch or marinara dipping sauces includes. JABA APPROVED. Until the next surprise bag...

We were staying at a hotel near by and decided to order pizza to eat by the pool. The food was delicious, we ordered the Mr. Moto Special with a salad and garlic knots. The food was good but we paid $15 to have it delivered and it took a long time to arrive. Next time I would pick it up instead of delivery.

Cheapskates, Don't get the pizza with the burrata cheese on it. It doesn't hold form like it did when we ordered in the beginning. Whatever they use now runs all over the pizza like sour cream. Doesn't look like the menu picture. They went cheap with the ingredients on there $28 pizzas. Does that make sense? Pizza would be five star if they delivered what they say they will.

One of the classic pizza places I forget about too often. The pizza is wonderful and it's always 10/10 customer service.

I've been here a few times already. The pizza is decent enough, and the slices come out quick. They have a few indoor tables and a few outdoor tables, and I've never had to wait for a seat. The rest makes it hard to like them though. 1) They don't have a parking lot, so you have to parallel park on the street and I've never found a spot on the same block. 2) They don't take cash. 3) The only salads they sell come as a side for $11. You can't get one as part of a combo, so staying somewhat healthy is prohibitive. 4) They sell individual slices for $4.75 - which actually is pretty good. They sell two slices and a beer for $17.50. So that's $8 for a beer - big fail!

Im here in San diego on vacation and this place is so good I have come twice in the week i've been here because i couldn't stop thinking about it after the first time I came. This is quite literally the best pizza i've ever had in my entire life and i won't be able to stop thinking about mamma moto. Already planning my next vacay here solely to come visit mr. moto. also the service was fantastic both times!! love love love love! #livelaughlovemrmoto

Solid pizza spot. Unfortunately the one in Encinitas closed permanently but we had the furious diablo and garlic knots from this location last night and it was great. They were very busy as they're running a Monday free pizza special for November so it did take some time, however was delicious as usual

I'm originally from NY and I have to say, Mr. Moto is very good for California pizza!! I'm satisfied with just their cheese pizza but they also have delicious specialty pies! It's really the only pizza place I go to when I'm craving NY pizza.

The restaurant is so cozy, clean and welcoming. The smell of pizza in the air is mouth watering. I ordered five whole pizzas for carry out and they came out swiftly! They staff was very sweet and friendly. They had run out of an ingredient for our pizzas and was nice enough to come out and ask what we wanted to do. I kept my order as is and they let me make some modifications to the pizzas. Head a great experience, I would recommend this location! The pizzas are so delicious! The Smokey Greens is the best pizza! The only down side is that the parking is fairly limited.

This place is too inconsistent and I can't figure out why in the world they won't put a sufficient amount of cheese on a pizza. Got a half cheese, half specialty pizza, and $28 later-- you get crunchy/air bubbled dough because there's a pathetic amount of toppings. Asked for extra sauce since that's usually light too, and there was hardly any. My kids barely ate and they love pizza. I will say were pretty busy tonight, and it took a while to get our order, but this is a regular issue.

I love the Green Goddess pizza with spinach and balsamic drizzle. The stuffed garlic knots are amazing & the tiramisu was surprisingly delicious. Mr. Moto has its own app so don't use 3rd party apps. They now have their own labeled pale ale as well. Parking can be tough, but I always get a spot. All of the employees are very friendly and helpful. The pizza makers are kind and interactive. Great food, great people and so convenient!

The pizza crust was nice and crisp... wasn't floppy when held up. We ordered the Extra Virgin pizza and a Caesar salad through their online portal. While the pizza was quite yummy, it only has three toppings and it was missing one: the fresh basil, which was a disappointment. Also, when ordering online, it said the order would be ready for pickup in 28 minutes. But when I arrived 30 minutes after ordering, they said the order wasn't ready yet. I then waited on-site another 20 minutes. I don't mind waiting an hour for pizza on a busy Friday night. I just wish they gave more accurate time estimates for when it would be ready. I will return because I think the pizza and the Caesar salad are quite tasty, but I will be more cautious in their quoted time estimates.

Ray is the best! Great service and I love the mission blvd pizza. Waiting time was very little and I highly recommend this place.

I went to the location around 7 on a Monday night and the line was almost out the door. It was busy! It was so much food I ended up taking a lot of it home. My items came out one at a time. The staff was kind enough to let me know when I ordered that they were running behind and that it would take a bit longer for us to get our food. Salad: ordered the Caesar salad. Was huge portion and could easily be shared between people. Pizza: mama moto pizza and special green pizza. I loved the mama moto pizza and would definitely order again. Pasta: chicken pesto penne. Was so tasty! A huge portion as well could easily be shared. Can't wait to have as leftovers it came out hot and the pesto was so good. Knot: they were out of stuffed knots that I ordered so they gave us two regular knots to be nice Dessert: tiramisu. Was recommended by staff. It was ok but not my favorite think because the cake wasn't soaked in espresso or liquor.

And so it goes, my family and I were looking for pizza in Point Loma one Friday after picking up one son from daycare and we stumbled upon Mr. moto. They have slice combo deals, a blue drink my son goes crazy for, jams that make us move and solid service. It is now our Friday night tradition to eat at "Mr. momo's" as my son says! Pretty solid find. It also doesn't hurt that my son thinks Mr. Moto is his dad due to his mustache

This pizza was so good!! My family and I were in town visiting and wanted to order in and Mr Moto was a quick drive. The pizza was hot and fresh and ready as soon as we got there. The staff was friendly and attentive. Small place but adorable, and they have some outdoor seating out front. Highly recommend!!

The gold standard of pizzas. Cooked perfectly with a very nice crunch. The sauce was very tangy and delicious. They use the right amount of dough and toppings to not make it overbearing but have a very delightful and not very messy meal.

Pizza is a personal preference thing, but our family always thinks the food is good here. We order from here often enough--directly from them/their app for pick up and on the other food apps for delivery. They take forever to get the food out and have LITERALLY gotten our order wrong 100% of the time. Usually it's forgetting something (a whole pizza, chicken on the salad, etc.) but sometimes it's just screwing up what we order. To their credit, while it has sometimes taken hours to happen, they almost always correct their mistake well enough (once when they messed up one pizza in an order they resent our order of 4 pizzas for a party--and we got 8 pizzas). A little more attention on the way out would probably serve them well.

This is my favorite pizza place in San Diego! The service is always super friendly and the slices come out quick and delicious! My favorite slices are the Mr Moto, the chicken pesto, and the pepperoni! I also like the stuffed garlic knots and their marinara sauce is super flavorful and goes perfectly with them! My favorite part is that the slices are super reasonably priced and the perfect place to take a group of people to!

First time trying Mr Moto Pizza. I ordered a pizza half chesse and pineapple and half red chunky mess. as well as Garlic knots. I loved the classic cheese with pineapple. Probably won't get the red chunky mess again. I love garlic but it was too much. I will definitely not get the garlic knots again. They were super dry. Other than that it's pretty good.

Eva was amazing, she took my phone order and repeated it to make sure it was accurate. To me she went above and beyond to ensure my order was correct. When I went in to pick up my order Eva double and triple checked my order to get everything I ordered. I will definitely call Eva when I want to place an order again due to her efficiency and manners. She understands people and the struggle. Please promote her to regional asap! You need teammates like her to grow your company and be successful

You have one guy busting his ass while the owner and two lazy fucks just sit and watch. Waited an hour and a half after ordering pick up an hour in advance. Customer service is hot garbage

A cautionary tale for anyone that wants to order a pizza either directly or via door dash. No less than 3 times have we tried to order from the Point Loma location and after waiting for up to an hour and a half with no order fulfillment and no way to check on the status of the order we have just cancelled. It is truly a shame that you can get a delivery from Mr. Moto's in Little Italy 3 times faster than you can one that is 6 blocks down the street.
