I just picked up a half rack of baby back ribs and they are horrible. Like very overcooked, no meat, so you can assume not fall off the bone. I’m not sure why they would even serve this to a customer. It looks disappointing. Two stars because they pound of brisket Is good.

My phone did NOT get a chance to eat first because my mouth did. This is my 2nd time ordering through Uber Eats and it’s NEVER gotten to me and not been hot, fulfilling, flavorful, etc. This last time it was so good I had to leave a real review and not just the lil thumbs up or down on Uber because this place needs their flowers! I purchased (2) dinners : Leg quarter with green beans and potato salad. And a half Slab of Rib Dinner with Mac and yams. I also got sweet potato pie and an Arnold Palmer on the side. My 1 year old son was smacking his lips and demanding more of his food. I was smacking my lips and portioning my plate into lunch meals so I have enough leftovers to savor. Y’all the food is good. I’ve never been in the restaurant because they ensure your order is quality right in your home but I sure will be paying them a visit soon!

Man this has been my spot for yearsssssss.... Always feels like a family cookout from the customer service to the grill outside and the old school music being played. Great prices, food and atmosphere. Me and my husband love Mr. pig. The sweet potato pie is my favorite

First time ordering from here. It’ll be my last. I ordered Via Uber Eats. Just took a chance. Just wanted a yummy southern Sunday SuperBowl Dinner. I got the veggie plate) The food had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. There was no soul in this food at all lol The greens tasted like nothing. The yams flavorless as well. A bit watery. I got the smallest scoop of mac and cheese known to man I think. I ate that mac in two bites lol Literally. I’m devastated it’s gone and I’m still hungry! lol There was nothing tasty or memorable about this food sadly. And on top of that I didn’t even get a piece of cornbread! Like cmon man smh I also ordered the “peach cobbler” let’s call it peachless cobbler. It was basically just a cup of mushy dough and 1 tiny peach piece(you can see it sticking out in the picture) lol Where’s the crust? Where’s the saucy peaches?!! The mushy dough didn’t taste bad. It was flavorful but it wasn’t peach cobbler. More like peach flavored dough dump lol. Idk lol smh I had high hopes for this place man. I can’t find good soul food anywhere in the city man.

On vacation and found this gem! Black owned and operated. We shared the brisket nachos and wings each made to perfection. I ordered the brisket dinner with Mac and cheese, baked beans and fried okra. The brisket fell apart and the sauce was the right amount of sweet and tangy, the mac and cheese was blended just right and moist, the baked beans were very good with the sauce they used. I will definitely be back if I’m ever in Atlanta again!!

I'm lightweight disappointed to just of spent $46 of my money on a bbq plate and didn't receive a slice of bread.. cornbread nor cold drink.. sweet tea, fruit punch, lemonade should be complimentary with any meal.. And Imma be honest I think that took away from the taste of the meal.. 1/2lb brisket.. 1/2lb rib tips… collards & potato salad.. But no drink nor bread.. Times are disgusting.. $46 down the drain.. I'll be definitely dining in more often..

Ordered around 8lbs of brisket catered. They were very nice people and ordering was easy. The brisket came out great, tender, flavorful, and well smoked. It was a big hit with my family! Well definitely be using them for parties/events in the future!

The best BBQ I've had in ages! The ribs are so tender they fall off the bone, the baked beans are incredibly flavorful, and the mac and cheese with greens are equally delicious.

i always pass this restaurant on my way to work and im soooooo happy i decided to stop in the food is soooo good ! that day and every time after i have never been disappointed && the prices are reasonable w the cornbread in the side you cant go wrong here !

Mold In Iced Tea Doordashed this and my drink arrived with black fuzzy specks in it. This is definitely a health hazard - had to throw out the entire drink. Also wondering if the drink was tampered with as the particles in the drink looked similar to a mucus consistently.

The lady who took my order left . And after waiting forever to get my food ;It was wrong . I just took it cause who knows how long I'd have to wait again . Fish was fresh and hot but the fries was cold cold .

Let's get to the bad first. Y'all should be ashamed of yourself serving that rice. That rice was bold and then put on the plate. No added seasoning....... at all. The fries were okay. A little pepper in the dash of salt brought it to life. Now I will say the catfish was really really good. I love catfish, and I wish I had some to take home. I was passing through. The hush puppies were also good as well. The cornbread onion flavor kind of topped it off.

Today was my first order from Mr. Pigs and this will be my last time ordering from this restaurant. I ordered the beef rib sandwich and the rib meat was burned and dry, it was inedible. The chicken and sausage gumbo contained NO sausage and was one of the worst things I have tasted in a while, someone forgot the salt. The hush puppies were also burned. The potato salad was barely average. Save your money or at least don't order what I did

Walked in, not fancy, clean and serious about their food, even gave my fellow bbq connoisseur a sample of potato salad. She is a truth-teller, her response was surprising... "this is pretty good". I was bbq'd out but definitely will return. So, I got desserts along with the tradition of greens on New Year for prosperity. Ordered take out of Key Lime Cake, Red Velvet Cake, Peach Cobbler and Sweet Potato Pie. There are a few tables for dining in and having a beverage at the bar. My dessert and greens (but not together) were so good! It was like scientist and one of my Great Aunts got together and made no fail recipes so the masses could enjoy these delectable treats without losing flavor, texture or taste! It was a Big Big Win.... for folks, like me who can not follow a baking recipe to save our lives! I know I am not alone...am I? In my house, if the first "taste" is taken while standing... And standing continues ,in silence except for a few mumbles, sighs, and oooweees until sadness of last bite and the resuming of speaking in full sentences. Yep, sweets and collard greens from Mr. Pig's was up to the standing standard! And again, they were not consumed at the same time! Can't wait to go back for the meat!!!

Absolutely horrible service I would give it zero stars if I could? They had me waiting 30 minutes without updating me on my order at all despite making eye contact with me while waiting multiple times after I ask twice they tell me that my food had never been cooking Ended up wasting an hour of my time just to spend $30 and then asked to get it refunded..take your business to somewhere that will respect you as a person

Oh man, when I tell you had a craving for some good ribs and decided to try this place. I got the tips and OMG, when I got home and dug into my plate all I could say was mmmmmmmmmmmmm, they were SO flavorful and tender. I also got double greens and cornbread Maaaaaaaan I Cook and I am 1st to criticize my plate but, not this time!!! I'm addicted. Cornbread soo soft and sweet ( not jiffy) greens wow nailed it.

This is some of the best barbecue I've had, and I have had a LOT. Mr. Pig's Smokehouse serves incredibly delicious, smokey meats and authentic tasty sides. Pokey, the owner and pit master, is a magician smoking meats. Ribs, pork, and brisket are flavorful before they're even sauced, and once they arrive, the tender smoked meats disappear fast. Your stomach says, "Keep shoveling, I love this stuff!" And the service is excellent--attentive, responsive, but not hovering, with lots of smiles. It was a perfect experience. Make tracks to Mr. Pig's and pig-out. You'll be ecstatic.

i loved big back pig back. i was on the verge of tears and alas i was cured with a wafting need to eat with a frenzy. the rib tips, delicious. the mac n cheese, forget the lactose intolerance, the candied yams made me want to live again. try it. you need it. big back pig back.

Went in to pick up an online order, the staff was not polite at all. We ordered 4 sandwiches and extra sauce, and all we got were three sauces. The mixed up the one drink we did get, but we didn't get the second drink with our order and another item was missing. We tried to call to see if they could adjust the payment, but they just let the phone ring to voicemail. The food was just ok.

Great flavorful food. Friendly staff, came in a minute after closing and they fixed me up an amazing authentic southern bbq plate. Exactly what I was looking for on my short visit to the ATL. Great food. Great hospitality. Going to make this a stop whenever I'm in the area

I was visiting Atlanta from Las Vegas. I had to experience the food and service that keeps my son going during exams at college. Staff? Fabulous! Customer service? Fabulous! Food? Oh My Yumminess!!! Melt in your mouth! A total sensory experience! deliciousness, mmmm mouth feel, and just WoW! All of the staff made it feel like it was a home away from home. Eat in, get more to go, then during exam time - have it delivered to the college dorm!! Yes, try the hummingbird cake and banana pudding after the fried cat fish, rib tips, AND a hunk of beef brisket. You will be an instant fan. Regrets? This is not in Las Vegas.

This was hands down the WORST BBQ I have ever eaten in life. That is NOT an exaggeration!!! The rib tips had NO flavor and was drowned in a sweet sauce. Even the sausage they use in the sand which was subpar. The mac n cheese tasted runny and no seasoning. The beans were maybe a 6/10. They tasted more like pork n beans than baked beans. Even the cake was super delicious but DRY as the SAHARA desert!! I WILL NEVER RETURN!!!

hate to have to do this to my own people, some stuff you gotta call out & stand on. My first day ordering was Good no complaints, However the Next day I went Back & the young lady taking Orders(who Was not there the day before) charged me extra for the same thing I ordered the day before. an come to find out When I get home an look at the receipt I was charged for something I didn't even order smh... its Crazy my first and Last day there was a Day apart.

Amazing bbq hole in the wall and a bar. Amazing place that stays open late. The Mac and cheese and chicken was good. I just love the fact they open late night

**** Disclaimer: I ordered my food through UberEATS and finally got to eat it 1 day after. **** I must say the food was really good. The turkey ribs was on point, though felt like they were holding back on the bbq sauce on my ribs and cheese on my mac & cheese. My green beans were good as well as the sweet potato pie, like it was actually homemade not store bought. I would definitely have them again. Next time I hope they'll have collard greens which they were sold out of.

Ugh I hate that I have to write this. The food is decent , don't get me wrong. Kudos there !! But like 1/2 scoop of the sides is WRONG . You literally have to order extra sides if you want to get full. DON'T order the veggie plate because it's all sides, I should have ordered 3 (whole plates) because there is no way ANYBODY can get full on that. Especially when you don't eat meat ! Smh

Never had not one issue with this place as far as quality goes. On one occasion my Uber eats order was missing a side of Mac and cheese which just straight up broke my heart because it's the closest to homemade you can get from a restaurant in the city. Cakes are delicious, on the fence about if they're homemade or ordered.... But I'm leaning towards homemade. Once Manager was rude as hell on the phone, couldn't add coleslaw to an order I made, but didn't have a problem taking an extra $4 for a previous order of baby backs I placed which they turned out to be out of, so they gave me regular ribs.... kept the money... but you know whatever. I order from there at least 3x a week, my request wasn't outlandish, manager was just a jerk. Gave these MFs one last chance I get slapped in the face. Rib plate side of Mac and what do I get? Slaw SWIMMING aim baked beans and NO MAC

It's a NO for me! Went today for a brisket sandwich meal with baked beans and potato salad (second meal, same order with cole slaw). Here's what happened... The establishment: this is your typical hole in the wall restaurant. Plenty of parking but nothing major on the inside. No big deal. Those are usually some of the best food places right? Wrong. The staff was nice and mentioned no ribs for the day. No problem, I went for brisket. Moving right along... The food: I literally took three bites of everything. The baked beans were lackluster (no flavor at all) and they were clumped together. Probably from sitting there all day without being stirred. The cole slaw didn't have much flavor either. The potato salad was just okay but nothing to write home about according to Mom. The brisket seemed baked, with liquid smoke and you guessed it, no flavor. I also had hair in my brisket. No hairnets? I asked for a brisket sandwich and received pieces of brisket with two slices of buttered bread. A brisket sandwich usually comes between two slices of bread or a bun with shredded or sliced beef for the record. This was clumps of beef with bread on the side. Just threw away $32 for two dinners, got a slice of pizza from a place far away from this joint and called it a day. Needless to say - I won't be back. You can't really find good barbeque in Atlanta. This is coming from a Kansas City native so as a rule of thumb, if you can't smell the smoke before you get to the building - it's not worth it. Yes, I knew this prior to trying this place but figured I'd try it anyway. Next time I'll save my money and avoid all barbeque in Atlanta. If you want good soul food, this is the city. Good BBQ in the South? Better luck in Memphis or Dallas. As always, go to Kansas City for the best BBQ of your life.

Tried this place for the first time and was disappointed. The wings were so small I could literally fit all 10 in one hand! Plus they weren't fresh and you could tell they were old!

Banana pudding is disgusting- not a banana nor any banana flavor in sight. Peach cobbler is completely frozen, and not to mention imported from NJ? What self respecting Georgian sells frozen peach cobbler from New Jersey? I have questions, but I'm pretty sure the answer is communism. Highly do not recommend.

Was craving some BBQ, saw this on Uber Eats, paid $80 for what I thought would be the bomb.com. Turns out, my food was extremely cold and nasty. Everything tastes old. The ribs were tough and no season whatsoever and a Hair was found lying on my ribs. The Mac and cheese tasted like sharp cheddar and black pepper. The banana pudding was absolutely horrible. It was way too sweet. And I was expecting large portions of great food. Most definitely will not be giving a second chance...should have read the reviews first.

The food here was not good.. at all.. I was craving ribs and ordered the BBQ plate ($9.99) and an order of lemon pepper wings ($5.99). The plate came with: 4 ribs: meh. Not worth the calories. Toast: the toast was simply white bread with butter -pork and beans: these were the only thing I really ate BUT it had ground beef in it which was weird. Maybe Be was ground pork? Idk. - Mac and cheese: was TERRIBLE. And I mean terrible. Should have been the best part right? No. It was a hard square of flavorless Mac n cheese that tasted like it was cooked 3 days ago. The wings were sooooo tiny. They tasted okay but were super hard. Not in a crispy way but in an old tasting way. After one wing I started to think about how the legs were the same size as a rats thigh or some other animal that I should not have been eating. Needless to say, I threw 90% of my food away.

Food is great, service is sometimes slow but it's well worth the price. Online ordering through the website it awful. Better off calling it in for pick up.

Ok! I used to enjoy their food until tonight! I ordered through Postmates but chose the option of pickup. My order was for rib tips with double baked beans, and then I ordered a chicken wing plate with fries and a coke. I had my son go and pick up the order for me because I'd been ill and couldn't get out, so he only picked up the order dropped it off to me and left again. First, when I opened the box that had the chicken in it all I saw was fries, so I am checking the bag looking for another box and I said, wth is the chicken.. I noticed that there was a piece of wax paper under the fries and I lifted it up, boom! Chicken.. but the chicken wings were so small it looked like they were pigeon wings, the were dry and hard and barely had any sauce or any flavor at all, so I tried a fry, blah! Disgusting, it was like they had that plate fixed way earlier in the day and then tried to bring it back to life by refrying it! I then opened the rib tip plate and it may have been 10 of the smallest tips I have ever seen with bbq sauce that had only been drizzled over the meat because tips weren't fully covered in sauce. I used a fork to push around the tips to further inspect them and a couple of them were gristle only no meat, the beans were thick, you can tell either they'd been on heat a long time or they were constantly reheated, but the flavor was good. Anyhow, the chicken plate was inedible which meant I had to order my youngest something else to eat cause his brother was gone and couldn't take it back. After this I got on postmates so that I make a review on the order! It allowed me to select that the quality of food was poor and suggested I contacted the restaurant since it was a pickup not a delivery! As per suggestion, I called the restaurant and a female answered the phone, she immediately knew I was the order from postmates and I asked to speak to management! She asked if she could help me and I told her I wanted to tell them about my food because it was horrible! She says, even the rib tips? So I knew for a fact, she knew more about my order than she put on... she placed me on hold after I told her about the chicken plate. Then, this male gets on the phone trying to make excuses immediately! When did you order, I'm trying to figure out who was cooking during that time. Well I wasn't here but I am going to see to it that they fix the problem. He suggested I come to get something else, I told him it wasnt possible for me to come and then he asked about the rib tips.. I gave him the same details and he began ranting about how rib tips have gristle like pig ears do... wtf?! What does pig ears have to do with why you are handing out meatless tips? So he goes on to tell me he buys the tips from the restaurant wholesale place like that!! So I suggested if you see tips with no meat on them then why not scrap those tips and not plate those? He then tells me some people like to eat the cartilage like they do when eating pig ears! And tells me I should think about that when I order rib tips... so now I'm flustered and I told him I don't give a sh!t about pig ears so he yells back that I must not give a sh!t about rib tips either!! Are you serious!? So I tried to inform him that rib tips are not meatless, even the stock photo they have up on the menu pages show a nice meaty rib tip! So he, exacerbated, says well, contact postmates for a refund. And I told him postmates asked me to contact him... no they didn't??? ‍ I will never order from here again I'm now yelling! That's almost $30 gone down the drain! Be careful y'all! It's people out here that don't have a real love for their craft and will feed you anything just for a dollar!

I've always passed this location off Donald Lee and this Friday night we decided to give it a chance and we must say, We were very impressed! All of the meat fell off the bone and it was all juicy and tender! Highly recommended if you are looking for some good barbecue in the city! We ordered the pork ribs, leg quarter chicken, beef brisket and pulled pork. The beef brisket was the BEST and the pulled pork was not all that good. The sides were potato salad (felt store bought), the baked beans were ok and the macaroni and cheese was ok. So, overall the Meat here is totally worth it!! Smoked and grilled to perfection!

My family ate from here tonight and loved it! Collard greens, yams, cornbread and banana pudding. All of which were delicious and I didn't hear a word from them the whole time. I couldn't eat as just had my wisdom tooth out. But based on the other reviews I wanted to ensure I posted a good one. I truly hope this remains to be a regular for my fam as they love southern and I hate cooking southern! Ain't no one got hours to be in the kitchen.

we live nearby and Mr Pig's is one of our go-tos, especially when we have visitors to the house. i really like the rib tips, greens, baked beans, cornbread, catfish, mac n cheese and yams. friendly service. oooh and the cakes are quite yummy too! they even serve pretty strong alcoholic drinks if you ask (wink).

Brisket was really good, not a fan of the sides. Stingy with the bbq sauce so get a little extra on the side. Ultimately the staff seemed cool.

Came in tonight to try out the local BBQ. I've been hearing for a minute at work there's a good BBQ a short distance from my job. So I had to check it out for lunch. Coming in the owner Quincy was right there to greet you. I told him my coworkers recommended I try the brisket. He informed that I wouldn't be disappointed. I got the brisket dinner and the pull pork dinner. Well let me start off saying that I'm always cautious about BBQ joint that doubt smell like something has cooking on a grill. I smelt nothing of the sort. So that lead me to believe they either barbeque it somewhere else or the oven cooked it....Either way I tried. Now! The brisket news just okay with very little BBQ taste and it had alot of fat. The pulled pork sandwich was better. However I didn't like they're sides... Mac and cheese was tasteless, green beans was bland. With the being said I may go back to try another meal, I won't get the brisket again. But on a lighter note. Mr. Quincy has a very nice establishment, their are several TV's, a small bar and plenty of seating.

The BBQ was great! This is now my go to BBQ spot. I ordered it on UberEats and the person who picked it up said it smelled amazing inside. I've never been to the actual restaurant but the food I received was great!

Good: The owners attitude and demeanor Bad: Wait (lunch time, no others in restaurant) 45 mins on a pork sandwich and a half slab of ribs. Ribs: no sauce offered, warm (not hot), collards were bland, lots of oil in the Mac N cheese. Sweet Tea was stale. Can't recommend this to anyone.

Just ordered uber eats from here and wow. i don't usually do yelp reviews, but am making an exception. the chicken wings fell off the bone and the baked beans were bomb. also got the banana pudding for dessert and it was so so good!!

I came here on a whim. I passed by it every day and wanted to try it out. I ordered two dinner plates and some lemonade. The lemonade, sweet corn bread, and rib tips were great. The ribs had the right amount of sauce and they were juicy. The collards / pulled pork sandwich were ok. The smoked meat they used had good flavor. Lastly the cole slaw and Mac and cheese I wouldn't order again. Mac and cheese was a little oily. The cole slaw had to much mayo.

Dirty grease for fries and pulled chicken sandwich was terrible. Smh gotta do better man.

You can actually smell barbecue. The barbecue is cooked on a barbecue grill or smoker... but it smells amazing! (I hate going to BBQ restaurants and you don't smell BBQ) I love that they are local but I don't like that they are at a dangerous traffic intersection. They're open late and they are quick with the orders.
