Mr. Taco Mex

Hubby stopped in to get us some tacos. 1 chicken and 1 steak for me. They fixed mine according to his instructions. Unfortunately, his had tomatoes which he had not requested. Also, he was not impressed with the flavor. I enjoyed, because they weren't spicy. However, I did favor the chicken over the steak.

In a word: outstanding. Please do yourself a favor and venture this way for this spectacular tex mex/ Mexican restaurant. We had amazing tacos and tamales that were so delicious. They easy filled the hole in our transplant southerner hearts. The salsa was perfectly spicy and also tasty. Prices are so amazing for what you get. Please stop in, you won’t be disappointed!

Best crispy tacos. Tamales used to be good but now the recipe has changed and cost more with less chicken took one bite of chicken out of my tamale. Please change the recipe back

The food is above average but the staff doesn't know how to calculate the bill properly. The excuse I got is they don't know how to make the correction on the register. Please be very careful they charge me $3.60 to put sour cream on 3 tacos. They also charged me an additional $2.40 to put cheese on two taco. I ordered the three taco combo with rice and beans for $14.75. Finally they charged me an extra 4% for using a credit card.

The steak tacos have flavor but the meat is a bit on the dry side. The meat was also a little fatty but I like a little fat because it adds flavor. I will eat from here again but I'll just add extra taco sauce to my tacos to add moisture to the dry meat.

Nice solid Mexican “diner” style restaurant (had breakfast here). For breakfast had both traditional options (French Toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage, etc) and Mexican breakfast (burritos, huevos w/chorizo, carne asade, carnitas, etc). Would come back again.

Used to love coming here every Saturday when they first opened up . I stopped coming in for a while , came back today and ugh so disappointing meat was cold and what happened to the red sauce 😭😭 it was fire now its just tomato sauce ! Even the green sauce was sweet . Chips were stale , and my sopes were also cold 😭

Food was really good only place I found so far that serves albondigas here in Chicago and I loved it.

Clean, cute, friendly. You're coming here cause you want amazing authentic Mexican food. You cannot find Pancha's anywhere else!!! And I loved the crunchy chicken taco!!! Very attentive and staff. And quick. It was packed! And all smiles and full bellies. You gotta try it!

This place carnitas used to be so good. Today they were overcooked and dry. Service was good and friendly. Coffee good. Chiliqullies were good. Noelle's eggs good. Over prices, a bit. I'd just dnt get why carnitas so dry and why so cold in there.
