Ultramodern fixture serving espresso drinks, beer/wine & modern cafe eats in an open, airy interior.
"Use Mr. West for an off-site meeting in a pinch. There are little nooks if you need some privacy, and a communal area as well if you need to spread out a little more. They serve delicious food, from curried avocado toast to croissant breakfast sandwiches, and the coffee works whether you're in the mood for black cold brew or a cardamom rose latte. It also doubles as an all-day wine bar where you can drink frozen rose cocktails and local wines made from grapes grown in the Pacific Northwest." - aimee rizzo
"The Deal: $2 Off House Cocktails, $2 Off Glasses Of Wine, 30% Off Bottles Of Wine, $1 Off Draft Beer And Cider If one of your colleagues suggests going out for Happy Hour, steer the party to Mr. West for wine and some cheese paired with olives. It’s also perfect if you need to get some work done, but also want a glass of riesling." - aimee rizzo, gabe guarente
"It’s happened to the best of us—you need a place to sit with your laptop and work all day, but you don’t want to starve. You’re entitled to good food, so set up camp at Mr. West. It’s a very attractive space with a lot of plants, marble, gold accents, and monochrome wall art, which goes pretty naturally with a matcha latte and some curried avocado toast. There are a ton of pastries to choose from if you're in the mood for something sweet, and they do classy panini and salads at lunchtime. And when Happy Hour strikes, they break out cheese boards, kettle chips, and frozen wine slushies that don't taste like Sprite. We’d gladly live here. photo credit: Nate Watters" - Aimee Rizzo
"If you work downtown and need some frozen prosecco in your system before you start clawing at the office window while whispering “I’ll quit tomorrow” to the tiny people down on the street, count to 10, gather your friends, and step inside the air plant-filled oasis that is Mr. West. It’s an all-day cafe from the team behind Bottlehouse, so you can count on some relaxation and interesting bottles of fermented grape juice you wouldn’t be able to find at other places in the city. The snacks here, like charcuterie, cheese, and toasts with lots of toppings are perfect if you’ve all agreed that you’re going to “graze for dinner.”" - aimee rizzo
"Sometimes things are so hectic that you have to eat lunch with one hand and type an email with the other. Mr. West is the perfect spot for a meeting when the thought of being separated from your computer for an hour makes you start to sweat. This place is a coffee shop with great WiFi and a solid menu - you can get toasts, salads, sandwiches, and yogurt parfaits. If you decide you’d rather not go back to the office for the rest of the afternoon, this is also a great spot to work from." - aimee rizzo
