Haven't been to the Tavern in a while and I'm very happy I stopped back for dinner. My lady and I decided to stop in and grab a quick bite. I ordered the crispy chicken thigh sandwich and damn it was tasty. Backed it up with some sweet potato waffle fries, and to wet the whistle...I ordered the blueberry mojito. What made the dinner even better was our waitress...Teaira was fantastic. She was upbeat, genuinely friendly, and pleasant. She offered her favorite ideas and was on top of checking back with us. We enjoyed dinner and the atmosphere so much, that we called friends who lived close by and they came for drinks. Definitely give this place a look and ask for Teaira

5/26/25 - Another disappointing dining experience. I now remember why I stopped coming here 13 years ago. Yup, 13 years ago. The restaurant itself is still fun and inviting with cheery staff. Our waiter started off great. He informed us that Happy Hour was about to begin. He offered us menus, and drinks were ordered. Long Island Iced Tea - made properly Truffle Fries were dark, hard, cold, and seemed like they had been sitting for quite some time. The seasoning of the fries were straight on point. Tavern Burger - Flavorless. It was ordered medium rare but was served medium well, which is perfect for me but not the person who ordered it. The sliced pickles were tasty. Regular Shoe String Fries - These fries were so much better than the old Truffle Fries received previously, albeit not good. They would have been great if they weren't fried too hard. Tavern Burger with Fries were thankfully 1/2 off Korean Short Rib - bland and desirable aspects with Mashed Potatoes that didn't taste freshly made with String Beans that were seasoned perfectly, but didn't match the meal, in my opinion. Keynote - I asked to replace the string beans with spinach, but was told that I would have to actually pay for a side of spinach because this restaurant will not swap out vegetables. I remember this quirk from 13 years ago. The most upsetting issue with this dining experience was that everything that was served was luke warm to simply cold. Our waiter had the audacity to serve the Short Ribs in a cast iron skillet on top of a plate that was cold. How can a waiter not even check to see if serving dishes, especially cast iron, is warm to the touch. I didn't even want to leave a tip because this definitely offended me as someone who has worked as a waitress. We all know that fries look at a certain way once finished. Waitstaff should definitely know the timing for appetizers. I included pictures of the dining area, which was empty. We arrived at 3:45pm. We we entered there was a table of 3 who were finished their meals and another table of 4 who were finishing their meals. There is no logical reason why our meals were all cold because the restaurant was empty.

The food was on point and the ambience great. Very good seafood options. I sat on the terrace overlooking the street. Waite staff could've been a tad bit more attentive. They were very friendly nonetheless. I will definitely revisit.

The hostess and server were both wonderful. Greeted us with smiles and were kind and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered one of each of the grilled oysters, they were all chef's kiss!!! The Charm City Punch is a MUST HAVE 😋

Google
I won the prize with my tavern burger. It was delicious and a Roseda burger. Roseda is a local Baltimore company and they make THE BEST burgers, steaks period! The rest of the options were rated a 2 by my dates. The grilled peaches and burrata salad was good and the portion size was tiny. Like tiny tiny. The Chipotle-Lime rice bowl was also just okay. Each bite had a very strong shrimp taste. The wedge salad was also a meh. My burger was delicious!! The staff were the greatest!!!! The atmosphere was alright. No dessert for us tonight.

Great place, reasonable price, wonderful taste and great food selection for all. Their crab dip is amazing and worth trying.

We paid $21 for a tiny tofu rice bowl that left my girlfriend hungry. I ordered the veggie burger that was made well with fresh onions, tomatoes, and lettuce but the patty was simultaneously dry and mushy. Buns were great. Flavor was one note - just spicy. Too much chipotle. Food came out very slowly too, despite it being half empty. Atmosphere is fun, clean, and comfortable! Sitting outside in the cool summer is great. Waiter was great, attentive. Hostess did not smile or look at our faces, I felt uncomfortable.

We had our family wedding g reception on 4-26-2025. We had the whole 2nd floor reserved. The staff and food and libations were perfect with the gorgeous weather and DJ!.

Yelp
Mt. Washington Tavern has been a local favorite and staple in Baltimore since 1979, I'm so glad I finally got to check it out. I sat on the Skybar, which is a covered deck on the second level and enjoyed the breeze. I had amazing service from Jamar! He was insightful, helpful and checked on me frequently through dinner. It's lots of seating available on both first and second floor, even a room for events! The Chesapeake Rockfish is Parm-crusted and topped with jumbo lump crab, lemon beurre blanc sauce and is def a must try! I also really enjoyed the Tavern Wings and the Delmonico steak (though not cooked to my exact temp preference) it was still very tasty with their housemade steak sauce. For cocktails the Strawberry Rose Spritz was very light and refreshing, def recommend it.

Yelp
A long time ago, I lived in Mt Washington and would do time at the MWT only to have to stumble into flight up Sulgrave - I climbed so slowly So good to be back after many yrs to the new and improved MWT Met up with an old pal for dinner. We didn't get the prime rib special but, if you like prime rib, I suggest their Weds prime rib special night. Looked tasty & a lot of prime rib is served. I got the yummy prime rib quesadilla. They have some pretty tasty oysters too. Nice bar area - the MWT has always had competent bartenders who know their way around the stick

Yelp
A staple for the community. Great bar, fine restaurant and more. Happy Hour is 4-6 and one special a day. Wednesday is prime rib which is excellent. Fries are thin and perfectly golden. Nachos are huge(half order is plenty and on the happy hour menu) and come with a side of goopy cheese. I wasn't happy with the nachos. Drinks are either weak or strong. Not consistent. On the light rail. Nice walking path by the Jones Falls in front.

Yelp
I've been to Mt. Washington Tavern a few times but this time we decided to stop in for happy hour. We sat upstairs where the big garage window was open. I loved that. And it was Thursday so they had complimentary oysters downstairs. Our happy hour appetizers were good. Scott was our server and he checked on us and was overall pleasant. We would definitely return.

Yelp
We stopped here for a drink on the way to a concert. Such a cute place so close to Pimlico. The menu looks fantastic. We will definitely be back to enjoy the outside seating and try some things.
google avatar

Yelp
Atmosphere was great. The food was good. Outside of them being busy and it became hard to catch Kathy service was good. We actually stopped to catch happy hour before heading to the Os game. The menu stated the appetizers were mini appetizer but it was big portions. The drinks were really good. They have an upstairs and downstairs. They also do private events, which a wedding event was going on so the were busy.

Yelp
I've been to Mt. Washington Tavern a couple of times, most recently last week for a group dinner. The tavern is nice - cozy, comfortable, casual - and the service is very good. They have a broad variety of drinks (beer, wine, cocktails). I enjoyed their house dirty martini when I was there last week and found it to be a very good version. I think their food is just so-so. We shared several apps: Nachos Grande, Truffle Fries, Bavarian Pretzel Board, and chicken skewers. Definitely standard pub fare. The nachos were disappointment - lots of chips, not much in the way of toppings! Felt very dry and bland. It needed a lot more on it to make it work. It's not a bad place for a casual, pub-traditional meal, but I haven't really enjoyed their food on the occasions I've had it. It's in such a great spot, so I'm sure I'll be back - probably for drinks and a burger!

Yelp
I recently had the opportunity to check out Mount Washington Tavern for the first time when I went for my SIL's rehearsal dinner. The interior was very bar/pub atmosphere, but we were in the event space on the second floor which was more upscale. I checked the Yelp reviews before coming and was a little worried. The food was good, but not great. Nothing I ate was bad, but nothing blew me away either. I did get one of their drinks, the Charm City Punch, and that was fantastic. Our server was also pretty good and the manager that helped me with my allergies was also knowledgeable and helpful, which I appreciate. It was really loud in there and I do wish someone had closed the doors to our event room. I don't think I'd recommend them for event level food, but I'd come again for a night out with friends for good drinks and average food.

Yelp
I hadn't been to MWT in years, but when I found myself hungry after a party that was lacking in snacks, I ended up there. It was late on a Monday night, but the bar was open, so I hopped right up and homed in on some Monday night football. I ordered the chicken quesadillas which were just okay. The chicken tasted reheated, but the tortilla was nice and crunchy. Next, I tried the chicken nachos, which looked like a huge portion, but was deceiving because they come on top of a bottom plate and are surrounding two sauce bowls in the center. They were much better than the quesadillas, so I was content with that. Had a nice chat with the bartender, a very friendly guy who gave me some history of the place. Not sure I'll make a trip down to MWT anytime soon, but next time I'm in the area I might stop in for something other than the mediocre bar food.

Yelp
Stopped here before an event. Hadn't been here in 15 years, love the rebuild after the fire. Great atmosphere with plenty of seating, but service was below average and the food was no better than average for a bar. We had a pretzel board to start, it was very good but took almost :30 min to come out. For meals we had smash burger tacos, prime rib quesadilla, and a rueben. Everyone loved their fries, but thought the rest of the meal was just ok. Sad part is it was hard to get refills on drinks because nobody seemed to want to work.

Yelp
A cute tavern with great service . The shrimp po boy was highly recommended along with the tavern burger . Neither one disappointed. The place is clean with plenty of television to catch a game or two . They have an upstairs as well . I would come back !

Yelp
This place... sucks. Been trying it out 4-5 times over few yrs/months. The workers and how the place looks is amazing though!! Just- so the brunch menu changed and it's worse now lol. For a brunch menu it lacks waffles (only one option) or pancakes, and doesn't cater much towards kids/families. The food is just all mixed with other stuff that they are trying too hard it's missing the simple things like a caesar salad. Food is just okay for how fancy and priced these items are, but I could definitely go to a cheaper place with better food.

Yelp
First time here as came with my sister for Saturday brunch. We got there about noon. There were already some ppl seated and eating. We came in on the side because my sister had to use the ramp for her walker. We were seating right away. There was a little wait on the food once we did order but didn't took that to mean it was made to order. Our waiter, sorry to forget his name was friendly and attentive when at our table. It started to get busy around 1:15 and we were kind of close to the walkway from the kitchen near the bar. So there was alot of traffic. A woman I assumed was the manager came over to ask if we were ok and needed some boxes. It was around that time I felt as if they were rushing us. We were in conversation but once we received our containers packed our food. Not long after that the waiter came with the bill and became more frequent than seeing if we were ready to pay. No one offered us bags to take our food in ironically. The food was very good and I'll return but maybe order more for a longer stay.

Yelp
The hardest part was choosing one thing from the menu - and our server, Samantha, was excellent. I plan to ask for her in the future. Get the crab dip with the pretzel-they go together perfectly. We all loved our lunches (short rib entree, short rib grilled cheese, pork belly tacos, peach/burrata salad-get the salmon add on, and rockfish). Samantha kept our soft drinks full, cleared away something on every trip, and made our visit extra enjoyable.

Yelp
If the multiple cockroaches didn't climb the wall at the end of our evening I'd give more stars..... Staff were kind but not super attentive. We ordered oysters to start but they never arrived. Our meals arrived and they were fine. Overall nice evening until multiple cockroaches began climbing the wall next to our table. That was gross. A kitchen staff member suggested moving tables but we were finished our meals. He gave us a 50% discount which was unexpected and appreciated.

Yelp
Oh and yes went back to my favorite tavern, Mt Washington and well.... Jamar is the best bartender in Baltimore City. Food, service as it always is and we'll all delish. Jamar will not let u down. Trust. Or do not. I do. Trevor

Yelp
Wednesday a little after 4 pm, we hit happy hour and the prime rib special. Outstanding! Not very crowded but pretty noisy. Much of the noise was coming from the staff employees. Sitting at the bar, the service was fine and friendly. Prime rib (18oz) was cooked, medium rare to perfection. Happy hour oysters were fat and juicy. Select beers were happy hour discounted. This outing could not have been much better.

Yelp
We had a celebration luncheon there December 30th (for about 20 people- including adults and children). We were BEYOND pleased with our experience from start to finish. It started with quick and easy communication with Mary to book it. On the day of, the service we received was exceptional! Our waitress was attentive and responsive to all our requests. She was checking in (the right amount) and made sure everyone had drinks/was served. When we arrived, the room was beautifully decorated with hanging ornaments for the holiday season. The flowers were BEAUTIFUL that we got through Holly- seriously consider using her if you're going to do an event there! We also felt spoiled that they set up a small kids table for them to be entertained with coloring and games, and separate from the main luncheon table. It was something we didn't even think of and made a huge difference in making the luncheon much more enjoyable for the adults and kids. We had pre-ordered appetizers for them to be ready to go when we arrived. The biggest hits were the grilled oysters (we got the Rockefeller and Casino ones), tuna tataki, and crab dip. The kids loved the pretzels appetizers as well. Everyone got to order off the menu for our luncheon because we had a smaller crowd. Everyone was pleased with their meal. Standouts were the scallops, crab cake sandwich, rockfish, and the Chesapeake salad. Overall, we would highly recommend considering The Mt Washington Tavern for your events! (Sadly forgot to take pictures of our food because we really were enjoying ourselves and everything we were eating.)

Yelp
Bond with your dog over a hearty brunch. Very wooden inside, like a log cabin. There were dogs walking around, saying hello to people, making their rounds, going upstairs. We actually didn't even realize there was an upstairs until we saw a dog stroll by and head on up. Our visit was over the weekend during brunch hours. Both the brunch and normal lunch menus were on the table, both figuratively and literally. It's nice having options. I went with an omelet platter that came with a salad of all things. Someone else went with twin crab cakes. Nothing is off limits. Live out your fantasy. Start with wings, end with jumbo lump crab hash. Wash it all down with bottomless mimosas (or Bloody Mary's if that's more your thing). Fluffy eggs, hot coffee, good company, bright sunny mornings. You get all that here on any given weekend, any given day on this old chunk of coal rocketing through space to the edge of eternity. There's a parking lot on the premises, which is always nice. And the overall atmosphere is inviting to boozy brunchers, quiet coffee drinkers, and piggish pups all the same. I don't think I've ever seen anyone turned away, though there was one rowdy Shih Tzu that was given a fifteen minute timeout in the foyer, for he had been what locals could only describe as a "bad widdle boy."

Yelp
Good happy hour menu including tasty dollar oysters! Our server , Joe Brady was terrific. The tavern is very cosy.

Yelp
The Mt Mount Washington Tavern has great atmosphere and good food. I got the shrimp salad wrap with chips. The rest of our group either got the burger or the chicken sandwich. The guys that got the chicken sandwich raved about it. Good seevice and got to end the night listening to live music on the roof.
google avatar

Yelp
Solid food, good service, and it's a nice professional and clean atmosphere. Good place to watch a game with a beer and something to eat. Really really good group space too if you want to plan an event (we did a multi-family post-grad party here that went so nicely!).
google avatar

Yelp
I went on a Thursday and they have oysters for free 4-6 pm for happy hour and they were very fresh. They have a guy that chucks them right in front of you and puts them on ice. They also have toppings on ice. I got the crab dip with pretzels. The pretzels had a lot of salt but you could remove it. The crab dip had some jumbo chunks of crab in in and some crab mixed it it had a good flavor. We had the grilled cheese but it had American cheese and goat cheese. The goat cheese was over baring. It had bacon and tomato's on it. Not my favorite. I didn't like my prime rib quesadilla. I was able to send it back for the Hawaiian shrimp tacos. They were really good. The waiter was pretty nice and attentive. The ambiance was very nice. Chill and quick service. The drinks were nice size and hit the spot.

Yelp
I Was just here this past weekend and absolutely LOVED IT! We were seated immediately at the bar and met Jason, one of the amazing bartenders working. You can really tell how much he loves his job and interacting with the customers! Glen was the other bartender working that night and he was so sweet. He even made my mom and I these cute little roses! Dylan was also a very kind worker. We are not from the Baltimore area so he told us about where to park and all of that fun stuff. Every worker here we encountered were so nice! I could go on and on about the amazing service but let's talk food and drinks: I highly recommend getting cocktails while you're here because the bartenders know what they're doing. The cocojito and espresso martinis were a hit! They also can do crushes. I got the orange one and they squeeze the fruits right at the bar so it's Very fresh! We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. I was skeptical because I've never had crab on top of fried green tomatoes before, but they were delicious! My mom and I split a beyond burger and we really enjoyed it! My brother ordered the smash burger and my dad got the shrimp tacos. They both liked their entrees as well! Looking at the past reviews of this place I am very shocked. This is one of the best experiences I've had at a bar restaurant. Everyone was so welcoming and accepting all types of people. There was a very diverse crowd when we went and everyone was enjoying themselves. I highly recommend to come to this spot if you're in the area.

Dnf M.

Yelp
I usually have a decent experience here, but recently my partner and I sat at the bar for dinner and were waited on by an older white man with blonde hair who throughout the entire evening was blatantly insulting my partner and hitting on me. We don't plan on going back from now on.

Michael K.

Yelp
After not having gone here in more than a year, we were pleasantly surprised by seeing that the menu had dramatically changed. It certainly seemed an improvement while keeping some of their more popular dishes from before. Unfortunately, the kitchen continues to remain stuck in not being able to deliver meals with even reasonable taste. The bone-in chicken wings were barely seasoned. My cream of crab soup was gloppily thick; the kitchen used far too much flour. The soup was thoroughly bland, lacking in crab flavor, and no splash of sherry to liven it up. My wife's Mushroom Bourguignon was barely edible. The mushrooms had been sliced too thinly and were lost in a cloying mess of what tasted like diced canned tomatoes. Did they even begin with a simple mirepoix? I doubt it. The kitchen would be advised to grill thick-cut portabello mushrooms instead of what small pieces of mushroom were swimming around in the awful tomatoey sauce. Oh! And don't forget to add red wine because that is what any dish labeled "Bourguignon" must have! By the way, the dish did not look anything like the website picture of the dish. Having three beers and the aforementioned dishes, the bill was almost $100 with a generous gratuity because we like our server and bartender. In summary, The Tavern continues to disappoint. If you just want beer, wine, or cocktail, and have a plate of raw oysters, it'll be fine. Please do not expect much from the kitchen, however. We'd rather spend $20-30 more and dine at Le Bistro du Village or Ethyl's Creole Kitchen, where I know we will dine well.

Yelp
I ate here after a meeting I had nearby. It's one of the few restaurants open at 4 pm on a weekday. I had crab cakes and $1 oysters. The oysters were good (not amazing, but good). The crab cakes were salty and were absolutely not worth the $42 (a price they don't show you in the menu, so don't assume they're priced like the other entrees!). The server was nice, but was also the bartender and was busy because of this.

Steph H.

Yelp
Stopped in with family group for a lunch. The server, Jason, was extraordinarily cheerful, kind and efficient. All of the food ordered was great! It was a fun, tasty, Saturday experience.
google avatar

Yelp
So much has changed over the years, once a staple of Mt. Washington it was very disappointing. The menu was ripped and dirty, the risotto was gummy with hints of uncooked rice interspersed, Not at all crowded on a Sat evening...

Yelp
I would frequent this place regularly prior to the pandemic and always had a great time and enjoyed the food. Visited again this week and hadn't been since 2019. Definitely a different experience. I went for happy hour but happy hour is only honored if you have a seat at the bar. The rear bar was full on the lower level and there was an event upstairs. Our waitress apparently was also making drinks and told us she was still learning. She was super sweet but our drinks were subpar. She was so nice we didn't complain. The food was not the best. Oysters and calamari were okay. Crab soup lacked crab meat as there were merely strands so it was comparable to vegetables with old bay in tomato sauce. Parking is always a task at the location and so that remained a challenge but ultimately this was my last visit. I've certainly had better experiences here and wish that instead of 3 stars I could have given 5.

Alex T.

Yelp
We had a large party in the private room and everything was just okay. First of all, our reservation was at 6 pm but when we got there they said it wasn't until 6:30 pm. Not that big of a deal but alittle annoying. Second, the gentleman that was taking orders for drinks was rude and not very nice. He would only take 2-3 orders at a time and would cut the next person off and would say he will be right back so ordering drinks took forever with having a big party. Not sure why he couldn't take more and just write it down. The food was just okay and not everyone's food came out at the same time. Some of us had to ask for our food. It was a set menu so there were only 2 options for the main entree. It didn't make sense why it took so long for the food to come out.

Yelp
It had been too long! My husband and I used to go to Mt. Washington Tavern on the regular when we lived right down the street. Sadly, it had been a few years since we visited but I surprised him by taking him to brunch on Sunday. We sat at the bar and Charlie took care of us. He remembered my husband from years ago. He is super friendly and took great care of us! I started with the French toast fries which are really just French toast sticks. Whatever you call 'em, they were delicious! My husband had the crab hash and I had the chicken salad BLT wrap and upgraded to truffle fries instead of chips. The truffle fries were some of the best I have had. Everything was delicious! I had a few mimosas and my husband had bloody marys. They have bottomless for $15 which is super reasonable. I wish we were closer and could still pop in as often as we used to!
google avatar

Tami F.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere and service! I was on the top floor for a party. And parking wasn't too bad for the area. Great cocktails and mimosas! It was a catered event and the food was pretty good, but I will be back to try the menu.

Stephen W.

Yelp
The moment you walk in it is quite lovely. Beautiful setting and the food was very very good. The service was also wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Steve W.

Yelp
This was the absolute worst meal I've ever had. We got there at 6:30 and weren't served our appetizers until 8:00. The grilled oysters were horrible, the nachos were chips served with a little melted cheese. The crab soup was basically Cracker Barrel chicken and dumplings broth...flour water with no crab or flavor. The cheeseburger was a hockey puck and the steak and rockfish were child portions. Never again.

Yelp
I patronize this establishment on many occasions with my child. After experiencing I very rude response from the manager today. I decided to share my experience here at the restaurant on Friday evening. Although, we did get there after 9 for dinner, I didn't order much. The food was ok, but the next morning my child became very sick from eating the southwest egg rolls and the Mac and cheese balls that were on the special menu. I'm a mom and this the sickest my child ever been when it comes to food. Hope the things will get better with her in which is slightly did. I proceed to share my experience with the manager today. Who was VERY RUDE, NONCHALANT AND arrogant to the matter at hand and tried to compare his body to a 7 year old and proceed to say "what is it that you want him to do". What type of manager respond in that matter. He seem very upset at the feedback. And tried to make it seem like I was lying about what my child had because there was no other people with the same experience. I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS AGAIN!!!!

Yelp
Food was average and service was awful. Really rude blonde bartender/ waitress working the bar. Skip it and go to abbey burger if you want a good burger.

Renee B.

Yelp
Popped up here for a quick date night before the basketball game. We choose to dine outdoors. We were seated promptly. Neither of us were too hungry so we just chose to get appetizers. I chose crab dip while my man chose nachos. It was more than enough to share both. Neither disappointed. I also had a margarita which might I add was very good. He had a beer. I can't remember the name of it but, the waiter said it was similar to blue moon. We can't wait to return and try other things on the menu and maybe dine inside next time.

Yelp
My job chose this place for leadership meeting and I'm so glad they did! It was my first time so I was eager to try the menu. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and fresh!! For starters, we ordered the crab dip, fried green tomatoes, and nachos. The food looked so good I didn't get a chance to take pictures of everything except the amazing fried green tomatoes topped with real LUMP crabmeat!! They were so delicious and had a nice crunch to them. They loaded the crabmeat on top which was a plus!! The crab dip was also pretty good. For my meal I ordered the smash burger with truffle fries. The burger was huge and the fries gave everything it was supposed to give. For my drink I had the Apple pie peach sangria which was nice and strong. Our server was also amazing and did a great job with keeping up with our orders and checking in on us! I will definitely be adding this place to my list of go to spots!

Yelp
This is about my 4th or 5th time here and I am always pleased with the food! Honestly, everything is good. They have steak tacos so yummy, the half/half Maryland Crab and chowder you always wanna take a second bowl home, and the BBQ flatbread so darn yummy!! The cocktails made fresh are tasty as well as the fresh (CLEAN) raw oysters. Although, the wait today for food and service was a little bit much . Especially bc the place just opened and was almost empty. Then the food comes and I have yet to have a water refill and I've been waiting for 20 minutes to simply ask for the check and to go boxes Maybe the waiting staff is tired but now I am readdyyyyyy to go .... The waitress name is I believe Mandy and it saddened me that she was not as welcoming/inviting or attentive as the many we have had before. But hey I'll still eat here ...

Tracey G.

Yelp
The most delish Crab imperial tonight with summer squash and zucchini and truffle fries!! Generous and scrumptious portion! The best I have had in all my years!! Go get some!!

Yelp
Just okay. The service was warm and friendly. There was nothing special about the hamburger and fries I ordered.

Yelp
Went in at about 2 o'clock, not very busy, ordered seared Ahi tuna sandwich requested it, medium, fish was literally cold like it came out of refrigerator and completely completely rare not even sure if it had been cooked at all, took another 15 minutes for my food to come back after rest of party had finished lunch, asked for fries instead of chips, still got chips. Love the ambience of the building and neighborhood but this place isn't what it used to be.

Yelp
Food was mediocre at best. Service was okay. I believe it was one of the chef's, possibly named Lawrence, is rude and seems to think he is above everyone else. Needs to learn how to speak to people, especially being in a service industry.

Yelp
The Caesar salad was good, but I disliked the wontons... they tasted fishy in my opinion.... The tavern is a nice place to hang and in a good location. Service was fair, but they do have half price bottles of wine on Fridays...

Yelp
I can't believe the low rating that this place has on Yelp . I order from here at least once a month, and I always order the crab dip with the baguette and pita chips. Right now, Uber eats is running a special where you buy one are dip and get one free, so I order through there and typically pick it up. Whenever I go to grab my order, the host is super friendly, and I get my food very quickly. The crab dip is amazing, and is the best in the city in my opinion. It's pricey ($19 per serving), but the portion sizes are generous, and I always have leftovers. I definitely recommend at least coming here for the dip if you're in the area!

Yelp
What an awesome experience! The restaurant/tavern looks great, and the upstairs is fun and well staffed. The food was outstanding. I was out with a coworker and visited for lunch. First, let me say,, Shanny was our server,, and she was terrific, and she made our visit wonder.. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it was cooked perfectly. It was a huge plate full of tasty food. I ordered a Ruben sandwich with fries, and it was delicious. It was a large portion and had the right balance of all of the ingredients. My fries were crispy and the bleu cheese dressing was out of this world. My coworker had the Tavern Burger, and she ordered it cooked medium, and the Tavern staff nailed it! She also had the sweet potato fries that were tasty and crispy. As I mentioned earlier, Shanny was awesome, and a big reason I will be back!

Yelp
My wife and I decided to stop in without a reservation on a weekend during brunch hours, with our three young children. We were immediately greeted, and taken upstairs to a nice table that was perfect for our family. The bar tender took care of our orders, and was very attentive to our table. We ordered the kids' food with our drinks, and our food shortly after. The kids' food was perfect, and came out in a hurry. Ours came out a few moments later. I had ordered a Half and Half crab soup, a salad, and an order of oysters, and my wife ordered a chili and salad. The food was good, but the soup and chili was a bit luke-warm. No biggie, maybe because we ordered it after the kids' it was sitting out for a few moments. All in all, we would definitely return. The atmosphere is fantastic, and the food is good. And they were super accomodating of our family of 5 showing up unannounced!

Yelp
This has been a fav of mine for years, and laat night I was reminded why.. Beautiful ambience..great food and amazing service.. The Grilled Casino Oysters are top notch, and Teaira, our server was quick, pleasant and tremendously attentive.. Now, if you have ever been to the Mt. Washington community u know the parking can be tricky but all in all a great evening!!
