95% Disappointment. Other than the large portion size, I see this as a huge letdown. Maybe I overhyped the experience, but the food was cold, lacking flavor, and the order was incomplete. Ordered the hatch burrito with sauce and the 3b? They were out of chicken, and chorizo, so the 3b got subbed for tacos, as requested, but no price difference was initiated. I really wanted this to be good. Edited**** Owner reached out and we discussed the visit. They are crediting the B3 completely!! Customer service and scores are changed. Looking forward to to giving it another try!

Ok…so many of my friends have told me to go here and I kept forgetting! Well I was finally able to make it and SO happy that I did!!! The staff was super friendly and patient and very help with my questions that I had! I love the inside with the art work and just felt comfortable going in! The food came out fast! I took the order to go and when I opened the brisket Mac and cheese…Wow! Looked amazing and large portion! The smoke brisket was amazing and my daughter and partner loved it! My burrito was just as amazing! Love the chicken! Mmmmmm! So glad we finally made it down!! I know we will be back!!! You should check it out too!!! Yummy!!!

Muchachos has done an admirable job of standing up to help our neighbors during the government shutdown and lapse in SNAP funding. I felt so much love when I went in for lunch and saw all kinds of people donating, picking up supplies and eating TOGETHER. Muchachos doesn't just have great food, they're great people!

The food was magnificent as usual! You have to give this place a try! My favorite is the Hatch Mac Burrito with brisket! The brisket and mac combination is fire! They offer optional coleslaw and a variety of salsas to add to your burrito. If you are unsure, they will put them on the side. Their burritos are huge! If you are a meat lover, I recommend trying the Pipeline. That thing is huge! It's packed with brisket, pork, chicken, rice and beans. It's also delicious! It is always a treat eating here! I hope you give it a try for yourself!

First off, the food here is amazing! A nice blend of BBQ and Mexican. I had the brisket and hatch Chile Mac quesadilla, which was massive! I didn't know they made tortillas that big! The only downside to the place is the size...which just means they should grow into a bigger location. We stopped for lunch with a group of 6 and it was literally impossible to sit. We sat outside when it was 40 at a picnic table, which would be nice in the summer!

Small venue with a big flavor. This was my first time visiting MUCHACHOS at Lincoln, NE, and I will definitely be coming back. Had two flavorful tacos, one chicken one beef, with tender meat, smoked to perfection top with avocado citrus sauce. The owner treated me with a generous sample of their special Hatch Mac and cheese that was to die for. What a tasty experience. I also had the Watermelon Matcha Latte, which is also a winner in my book. If you ever visit Lincoln NE, this should be an official stop.

Walked down the street from work to get some Muchachos today! Ordered online, got there a little early and it was ready! Great food, friendly staff and awesome atmosphere inside. The Hatch Mac Burrito was fantastic! Get it with Brisket! The street tacos are awesome too! Today they were $1 a piece. You cannot find any tacos this good for this cheap unless you most likely go to another state. These were awesome and right down the street from work! Awesome food, awesome atmosphere! Good work Muchachos, glad you are here in Lincoln! Can't wait for more!!!!

The food’s fine, but the service has gone downhill fast. I was mocked by one employee in front of another, and the owner brushed me off when I asked a simple question—guess courtesy costs more than the $400 buzzers he said were “busted.” Great atmosphere if you enjoy being treated like an inconvenience.

Any time that we are in Lincoln and Chacos isn't sold out we eat here. Service is always friendly and amazing and Nick is an awesome dude. Ambience is casual and we've never had any problems dressing super casual. This past visit we had just finished playing a doubleheader and were covered in ball field dirt. Felt welcomed regardless as always! My wife and I like the Hatch Mac Burrito, I always change the protein on every visit which are chicken, pork and brisket. My kids like the nachos, and quesadillas with chicken added. You definitely have to eat here if you're in town!

Beer pricing is decent hence the 2 stars but the food I ordered the street taco pork no flavor red salsa was ehh not spicy at all. I ordered the Mac and cheese with the brisket. The Mac n cheese had absolutely no flavor! Zero! The brisket was dry and hard. Only positive thing was the portion for the size (small)

Wonderful food! I ate from their food truck from an event but, have visited multiple times in person too. Their tacos are good sized! I typically get the brisket or pork tacos but today i got one of each with the works. Their sauces are all very flavorful and balance nicely together.

Tried this place for the first time and it did not disappoint. Food was awesome, people were friendly, and loved the vibe.

I would like to start this with saying this was from the Omaha Muchachos before they closed! Either way either location, the food was always fantastic, everything was always quick and hot! The first time we went they were SLAMMED, they actually turned people away because they needed to get through their orders already taken before taking more! Happy we got in before them! The Hatch Mac quesadilla and burrito was fire, we always got "all the toppings", which had a lot of flavor that brought the meat and mac n cheese together as one. We will miss you here in Omaha, but now we know where to eat in Lincoln.

The people, the freshness, the casual atmosphere, the people in the back on the grill, all make this place sizzle. It's a few blocks from the main downtown area, and very walkable. They serve street tacos so buy three, Go ahead and try all the fresh salsas.

GUT BOMB HEADQUARTERS. We had the Pipeline burrito. Half the world's protein must have been in a tortilla that measured four feet across. Seriously. It was a good burrito but not a great one, at least for me. I like 'em squishy with lots of sour cream and cheese. This thing was so large we ate off it for two days, like the carcass of a Thanksgiving turkey. The staff was good people.

I stopped here four days ago following the husker football game. We went on the recommendation of a friend, but I have to say I wasn't overly impressed. The staff seemed very friendly and we were getting our food to go to eat in the car, so we didn't stay too long. I ended up going with the burrito bowl with brisket. The brisket was good but it tasted pretty standard. It didn't have a lot of extra flavor which I was hoping for. The queso was decent but I wish there would have been a little bit more of it. I think the worst part of it all was that my rice was undercooked. There were lots of little bits of crunch in there that really threw the dish for me. I really did enjoy the avocado crema though! Perhaps I should've gotten all of the works to give the bowl little bit more flavor that it was ultimately lacking? Overall, I thought this place was fine and would maybe give it another try. I just think that maybe I had a bad batch of rice?

I was finally able to sneak into this hidden gem here near downtown Lincoln! First of all, the owner Nick is really cool to talk to! Very down to earth people here as expected, with great service. The inside decor is really cool and vibrant on entrance! The outside front looks cool too! Well, getting down to the food and drink now... I ordered the Brisket Breakfast Burrito with Avocado crema sauce inside! Awesome mouth-watering best brisket Burrito I have ever tasted yet!!! I love their red and green salsas, which I had on the side. The lovely lady at the counter made me an iced Golden Graham latté. Such a wonderfully made coffee drink! Love all about this place. I made my first trip to Muchachos two weeks ago. My friend and I got there right before the dinner rush. The two lovely gals at the bar gave us great advice on what to order and made sure we were well taken care of. I ordered the hatch mac burrito with pork and my friend got the chicken nachos. Full disclosure - I am picky about my mac n cheese and theirs was delicious! The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful. The chilis were the perfect amount of heat for this dish. And the burrito itself is MASSIVE so you definitely get your money's worth. Neither of us had ANY problem inhaling our food. The only issue was remembering to come up for air. To my amazement, I ate that whole dang burrito. This place is such a hidden gem and it's easy to see why it's getting so much positive attention! Nick, the owner, is one of the nicest, most hardworking guys you will ever meet. He knows his stuff and I cannot wait til they open their Omaha location. I have a feeling that I'm going to be living down there when they do.

Everything was so bland. Even the Mac and cheese they were known for. Staff was very nice and friendly and drinks were strong!

I ordered a "freakin buttload of nachos" for myself and three of the people I went there with. When I received the food and sat down to eat with my friends, we realized that the nachos only had about a singular chicken breast cut up and sprinkled over a decent amount of chips. In other words they simply were skimpy and the food was not great. The environment was nice and seating wasn't too bad, but would not get the buttload of nachos again. Service was good as well, but would like to know ahead of time to order more "protein" when you can see i'm with a decent amount of people.

Today we went in and they were out of a lot of items. Also my food was lukewarm. My friend waited about 35 min for her food, something about the food buzzer not working and because of that they had to remake it? I love Muchachos so I was sad to have this experience today.

i've only ever had muchachos at grad parties and everytime i do i remind myself i need to go more. the food is excellent and the servers are very kind. very cool food truck itself as well. very clean and sleek.

Muchachos rocked my retirement party. Wife worked with Nick to plan tasty offerings for 200 and didn't disappoint. Brisket,smoked chicken, pulled pork, Mac n cheese,nachos, soft tacos. Many many compliments on delicious come and go. Great job!

Great service, great vibes. Very good food. I recommend variety here, so a combination of street tacos (or regular size tacos if that's your thing) absolutely hits the spot. And, obviously, chips and salsa... however spicy you can endure, but the medium-hot options are my favorites. Would absolutely recommend, either for casual eat-in or takeout.

I'm a big fan of the food! But the service, is stellar. I had a pretty good first experience at Muchacho's because they made sure to celebrate my birthday with me with a free drink. It made me feel very welcome. We kicked off our evening here because we heard about a secret menu item we just had to try! The Hatch Mac Tortas was good. The Torta is a lot of bread but it's delicious. So delicious. Toasted, crunchy, but soft. And I believe they are made locally. When you order this, it's not offered all the time. It's a secret menu item. And it comes with a lot of questions. Do you want this or this or this... Lots of things. The answer is yes just do them all. If you try to do it on the side, it just complicates things and doesn't give you the true experience. The mix of flavors is bomb (and a little spicy), but the amount of stuff added compliments the meat (mac!) and dryer bread. I shared this with my friend and ordered a taco on the side for only $.99 because it was Taco Tuesday. Do this, and get at least two tacos, they are SO good. The pork is juicy and tender. Very delicious tacos. I honestly preferred the tacos over the Mac torta. The space is small (and well decorated), and if you haven't been out much lately, it can feel especially small as people start filling in. But that is not a knock against Muchachos, that means this place really does have quality, delicious food and we need to continue to support them, so they can outgrow that space. After you order your food, you go down the hall to get your food back where the kitchen is. The restroom is tucked in their too. It's an interesting space, but they make it work well. I will be back! I forgot to mention my friends and I went here for drinks and food before a show at the Lied Center. It was honestly a perfect start!

Ordered from here a few times trying to figure out what the hypes about, apologies but I don't see it. Now every time I've ordered a burrito so maybe that's the problem, they are loaded up gut busting tex burritos but the flavor and quality is average. Maybe I will try something else next time.

Great food and really friendly service. I usually get 4 street tacos with chicken and the works. The chicken is their best meat, in my opinion. The pork is also very good. I don't like the brisket as much -- I find it a bit too greasy/fatty. I once tried a hatch mac burrito and it was huge and delicious. But my favorite thing about Muchachos is the people who work there--just lovely, welcoming people and a really nice family atmosphere.

Lincoln's favorite food truck has finally opened a brick and mortar store! Located in the old Method Coffee House, The owner has poured his heart in the making this a great spot for smoked meat, New Mexican cuisine, coffee, and drinks. They've also partnered with Meta Coffee to serve a Muchacho's inspired coffee. When I picked up my lunch today, Mike from Meadow coffee was roasting beans in the kitchen. The space has been successfully modified to accommodate dining in, with low tables and chairs. They've kept the bar and the taps. I had a pork taco, hatch mac & cheese with brisket and red sauce, and a cuppa coffee. Everything was dynamite. I can't wait until I'm back to work, which is nearby, and I can stop in for breakfast burritos and tacos in the morning.

My favorite spot for nachos! I usually get the large nachos with "the works" with half beef brisket and half chicken! It's huge and two people will fill up if you can finish it. Staff is very friendly! I love Karina, she is awesome! They also have some good coffee drinks.. I had a cinnamon roll drink once and I loved it. I always bring my friends here because it's a cool laid back spot but it can get packed easily since it's a small spot. Very safe to say you will never be disappointed here :)

Hands down the best. We are from out of town and just live coming to the place when we are back in nebraska. You HAVE to get the hatch Mac and street tacos. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This is the food you dream about: tacos, burritos, nachos with hand smoked meats, handmade queso, delicious saw and salsas. I regularly stop in for the handcrafted beverages, including the cereal milk lattes. You can order any of your coffees with a shot of CBD. The artwork is bright and engaging and the staff are always super nice, no matter how busy they are. Muchachos is the kind of local place that you want to see you succeed and it is always my pleasure to go there for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Finally got to try Muchacho's recently! I had been hearing good things since their food truck days. We stopped in to get some food to go to take with us to a brewery. The menu is kind of a BBQ-New Mexican fusion. We got the hatch mac burrito and the nachos to share, both with chicken as they were out of pork for the day. The meat was perfectly smoked and very tender. The hatch mac burrito was messy but very good with just a little kick from the mac! The to-go packaging was on point, as the salsas, avocado, queso, etc were all on the side of the nachos so they didn't get soggy in transit. They also have a coffee bar and a decent tap list of craft beers. Can't wait to go back and try more things off the menu!

The brisket taco was very tasty. However, we wanted chicken as we do not prefer pork or beef, but they were out of chicken. The pork nachos were very average....nothing special. Service was good. The staff was professional and polite. The restaurant is small and it appears that most patrons have to go order.

Muchachos has one of the top three burritos I've ever had in my life. Taking a bite into the hatch mac burrito (with pork) - was literally a flavor-orgasm in my mouth. I'll definitely be back to try the hatch Mac with brisket and their smoked breakfast burritos. We enjoyed a side of chips and queso with the burritos and that was a great addition. The queso is great and the chips are tasty. All portion sizes are very generous and you won't leave there hungry. Oh - and the margaritas put extremely well with the food. Two of them to be precise! The prices are reasonable too. Go enjoy Muchachos. The service and food are amazing.

Really good food and the service was great too. We had never been there before so didn't know what to order. The server was very helpful and knew what to recommend for first timers. Loved the atmosphere also. Will definitely be back!!

I had first learned about this place from a YouTube video I'd seen, so I visited on my birthday, and it was great! The second time I visited, they had just opened--which is never a great time to eat at most places. The brisket chili Mac was ok, but not as good as the first time. More gristly meat. Just not great. Also, and I can't blame them for this necessarily, because every food place must deal with this, but I almost sat on the largest, most magnificent specimen of a cockroach I have ever witnessed. And I lived in Texas! I let out a scream in the middle of the crowded place, and the manager took him outside. Which I appreciated. If he'd smashed him in front of me, I could not have stayed for my food. Still, I was so sad, because I thought I'd found my new favorite place. (I don't know--comp me maybe). But no.

Really good tacos!! I got 1 chicken & 1 pork. I also got a strawberry marg-basic but good! I was unaware that you pick up the food way in the back after you order, so they had to say my name a few times. Ha. The music was fun & upbeat and employees were fun and friendly. There was plenty of seating & parking. Would have liked to have guacamole, but it's ok! Definitely recommend!

Muchachos may be relatively new to the food truck scene, but it's an absolute home run. Everything I've had there is delicious. The family that runs it is extremely friendly, and they're creative with their offerings. The restaurant calls its cuisine Mexican/BBQ fusion, an interesting concept that not many restaurants are trying - but more definitely should. You can typically find the truck at the Haymarket farmers market on Saturday mornings in Lincoln, though it also pops up in various spots throughout the week (follow its Twitter and Facebook accounts for details). It serves tacos and tostadas with brisket, pulled pork, and chicken, though it also experiments with other items such as breakfast tacos and mac and cheese. Wanting to try everything, I got tacos with brisket and pork and a chicken tostada. The brisket was delicious, adding a nice smoke to the flavor of the meat. The flour tortilla was a tremendous delivery device, and the spicy slaw and green salsa brought just enough heat to complement the meet without taking over the dish. The pork didn't stand out quite as much as the brisket, but it more than held its own. My only complaint with the tacos was they were a bit light on the meat, but that wasn't the case at all with the tostada. The chicken which was perfectly tender and had a brilliant spice to it. The smoky refried beans were the star of the dish, the spackling that pulled the chicken, slaw and cheese together with the crunchy tortilla to deliver perfect bite after perfect bite. My entire meal was put together within minutes, and it came out fresh and hot. Everything about this experience was spectacular. If you happen to run into the baby blue Muchachos truck at an event, absolutely try it out. But I encourage you to go one step further, check out the social media accounts, and seek out this truck. I promise you it's worth it. This place is amazing! I've been here twice since they opened a few weeks ago. The first was for lunch. I had the nachos with brisket. The brisket was perfect. I had the full-sized portion (I'm a big eater) and it was almost too much. Then I just returned from my second trip, which was for breakfast. I had the large taco, with brisket. I scarfed it down before taking a picture. It was delicious. Here is the bad news. Their downtown location is two blocks from my office. I have a feeling I will be eating here often, which can't be good for my expanding waistline. Great job Muchachos!

Amazing local culture combined with unique and awesome modern Mexican food! The green chili is authentic and delicious!

Ate here once, food was good, however they are closed more than they are open. Don't waste your time going here. Been there four times, three of these visits they have a hand written sign on the door "closed" for whatever (insert the excuse of the day here).

Finally got to try the much-lauded muchachos tonight for their amazing taco Tuesday deal! Seriously, $1 for these is such a bargain, there's a good portion of beautifully smoked meat on these so you can be full on five bucks. Also they had a dedicated little waiting area for to-go orders that was away from the seated tables of people eating in, so we didn't have to worry about the particles they were breathing. The good: taco value, meat portion, meat flavor, safety measures, decor Not everything measured up to that standard, though- I was particularly disappointed by the hatch slaw. It's $2/portion, and the portions are pretty dang small, I think they're twice the size of a little 1 oz sauce container. Also, to make it as flavorful as it is, it's a gritty, sandy, grainy mouthful of ground cumin and chili powder. Also, the chili verde was barely passing average, but since the meat was so flavorful, we didn't find ourselves really needing it.

It was the 9th day of the 6th month in the year 2021. Two soon to be newly weds were on their way to get their marriage license. But before paperwork, coffee and breakfast were a must. The bride to be insisted we go to Muchacho 's. Being the ignorant small town Michigander, I blindly followed, unaware of my morning fate. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and no mediocre coffee or breakfast should ever enter my bowels. In short, bad breakfast = a bad day. As we walked up to the restaurant at 7:25, we realized in horror that it was not open yet. Between the stress of wedding planning and just life, this horrible news broke us to our core. The bride to be threw her arms in the air with an exasperating wail of defeat. As we walked away, the owner opened the door with a heartwarming smile and said, "Coffee?" We didn't know at the time but the owners were sitting there watching the the whole thing unfold. Out of the purest empathy, they let us in. If the kindness of their hearts was the appetizer, their hospitality was the soul's main course. They shared their story, a cinematic roller coaster filled with love, sorrow, epic victories, defeats, and overcoming adversity. They certainly used adversity as a stone to sharpen their sword as they fought their way to the promise land! Once our souls were filled with love and laughter, our stomachs growl echoed throughout its empty chambers. The coffee was delectable. The first sip seemed to melt away my drowsiness and like a sunrise, life was reborn in me once again. As I sat there with my fiancé, full of adoration and thankfulness, I thought to myself, this morning cannot possibly get any better. Suddenly! I realized that I hadn't even touched my breakfast tacos! As I opened the pure and spotless container, a vessel poised to harbor such elegance, my eyes widened and my mouth salivated at the sight of these two, elegant, gleaming, made to perfection chicken breakfast tacos. As I took my first bite, fireworks erupted, and I could hear the faint sound of a mariachi band playing inside my mouth as my tastebuds partied to all the wonderful flavors. I was lost in a trance, and I was only hurled back into reality when I looked up and realized that I had eaten my two tacos before my date could even take a bite. I would have apologized but food this good does not deserve an apology, it was borderline offensive to even think of such a thing! In summary, this future household of ours will mark June 9th as "Muchachos Day." A day that symbolizes love, laughter, overcoming adversity, and a reminder that blood is thicker than water and empathy is like that perfect cup of joe.

Food is good but prepare to spend a lot of $. Owner is condescending when questioned over his deceptive marketing programs. He then posted my bill on Twitter after giving a refund that was not asked for and attempted to embarrass me over not leaving a tip on a takeout order In which I had to wait to be served when i was the only person in the place ordering food. Owner was more interested in talking with his friends than serving me.

They catered a surprise going away to basic training party I attended last night. The food was awesome and went quickly. Found out the owner donated it all after he heard the reason for the party. These are the small local businesses that we all need to support

I had been wanting to try this place for a while. First off the restaurant was clean and attractive. It's not the biggest place and there was a line out the door when I arrived, but I was accommodated pretty quickly. I had a Mac Burrito, it wasn't a world beater, but was pretty good and a good value for the money as well. I'll probably come back later and leave a better review, but all in all it was a good first experience and I was happy to support this locally owned business.

When a restaurant touts that everything they do, they "do with passion" it's tough to know how true that is. With Muchachos it's easy to know. Just ask Nick when he takes a break from making whatever wonderful creation is on the menu that day. My first visit I opted for the tacos, two for $7. Both the pork & the chicken were incredibly flavorful and prepared to perfection. I went with the red salsa on one and green hatch chili salsa on the other. Both were fantastic and honestly if I had the time I'd head back for seconds. So if you want to understand Nick, and his passion, just look for that brightly colored truck.
