London’s New Restaurant Openings - London - The Infatuation

"Mulan Noodle, a northern Chinese noodle house, has live guzheng and pipa performances, a separate bubble tea spot next door, and a warm, rattan-sponsored dining room. Biang biang or la tiao zi noodles come coated in chilli oil with a choice of customisable toppings, like braised beef shank and marinated soy egg. We’re excited about the Sichuan ice jelly desserts, too." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

the food here is absolutely amazing, particularly the handmade soup noodles - packed full of flavour and with a few different options available, i can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu the atmosphere is also cute, I went during the day so it was a bit more quiet. a lovely new addition to the restaurants in the area.

📍 Mulan Noodle, Acre Lane Mulan Noodle brings hand-pulled comfort to Brixton, combining the traditions of Chinese noodle-making with a focused, modern menu. As you step through the door, you’re greeted by the rhythmic movements of noodle-pulling and dumpling-folding in full view—a great sign that what you’re about to eat is made fresh, right there. 🍽️ What we ordered: • Spicy Rib Noodles • Vegetarian Trio Noodles (Diced potato, celery & carrot) • Wontons in Chilli Oil • Veggie Dumplings 🍜 The Spicy Rib Noodles were the highlight—tender ribs in a rich, savoury broth with heat that builds gently. The Vegetarian Trio Noodles, while simple, were unexpectedly comforting, the potato, celery, and carrot combo was clean, hearty, and satisfying. Wontons in Chilli Oil brought silky textures with a chilli oil that tingled more than burned, and the Veggie Dumplings were juicy and well seasoned. 📝 What I liked? Watching the noodles and dumplings being made fresh as you walk in sets the tone immediately. The food itself is high-quality and thoughtfully prepared. Great vegetarian options, not just an afterthought. ✅ Would I go back? Yes. It’s a great casual spot for noodle lovers, and I’m keen to try the Biang Biang Noodles and Big Plate Chicken next round. 🔍 Note: First visit review rating reflects initial impression, and I’ll definitely be back for more. Finally managed to try this place that opened recently in the neighborhood and I must say it is the best hand pulled noodles in South London! The tender beef rib and braised brisket beef was flaky, melt in your mouth, succulent meat. Served with hand pulled noodles, we tried both types, the wide one and the thin round ones, so fresh, springy and great mouth feel, chewy in a good way; not overcooked or soft, and not undercooked and doughy, both served in a rich, delicious non spicy beef broth. You can add their chilli oil for a kick if you prefer, and it is a well balanced flavoured oil with enough heat, I like to dip my beef in the oil for flavour rather than add to the soup. Great menu with a good range of starters, like wantons, dumplings, that we will come back to try next time. A very nice hidden back restaurant that can seat larger groups too, don't be mislead into thinking there are only a few tables out front. This restaurant and the noodles they serve are as good as the ones in and around Chinatown, if not better. Well done on delivering authentic, quality Chinese hand pulled beef noodles that are not overpriced or sub par quality, welcome to the neighbourhood!

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Mulan Noodles! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm, attentive service that makes you feel instantly welcome. But it’s the food that truly steals the show—each dish is a masterclass in flavor, balance, and authenticity. The noodles are perfectly textured, with just the right chew, and the broths are rich, fragrant, and deeply satisfying. Every bite bursts with exquisite taste—comforting yet bold, traditional yet refined. It’s rare to find a place where both the cuisine and the service are consistently outstanding, but Mulan Noodles delivers on every level. A must-visit for any food lover!

We've been to this restaurant twice already, and both times have been absolutely fantastic. The food is delicious, with generous portions and a wide variety of options on the menu. The place is very nice and everything feels brand new. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of food you get. During our second visit, we went for dinner and were pleasantly surprised to find live music, which made the evening even more special. We'll definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!

This is such a cute local spot to catch up with friends! The rib noodles were AMAZING. I cannot get enough of the butterfly shrimp and the dumplings are must-have sides. I've been here twice and cannot recommend it enough.! The staff are friendly and welcoming which helps you feel right at home. Also, the fact they have halal dishes makes it so easy to meet up with friends! It's right next to Moo Tea too if you're a bubble tea fan (also really good)!

The food was incredible. We ordered from both the street food and main menu and have to say that both the dumplings and the hand pulled noodles were standout dishes. The staff were also attentive and friendly. Will absolutely be returning in the near future.

Great food, we had the braised rib noodles and they were so delicious along with the shrimp and sweet and sour chicken. Olivia was a great waitress, so welcoming. Will recommend to others.
