The 5 Best Things To Eat In Helen, Georgia During Oktoberfest

"Fried Cheese Kebob & Fried Cheesecake  Mueller’s is memorable for doing some things other spots in Helen aren’t. For starters, they’ve got Czech dishes like goulash and bread dumplings. And they’ve also elevated fried cheese to a must-have entree instead of a forgettable app. Get the hand-breaded fried cheese kabob (a mix of brie, mozzarella, and cheddar) for epic cheese pulls. Just don’t ask us why it’s served with tartar sauce instead of marinara or anything way more compatible. And if that’s not enough cheese, finish off your meal with their warm, gooey fried cheesecake. Is all this worth the hour-long wait to sit in the cramped dining area? That all depends on how much you love cheese. " - demarco williams, juli horsford

This spot was recommended by one of the other businesses as a gluten free friendly option in town and they were right! A well marked menu gave me lots of options and everything looked so good! Our only complaint would be not the appetite to eat everything on the menu. The patio seating was perfect on a beautiful day, and pet friendly. Savannah took care of us and was friendly and the perfect blend of attentive but not overwhelming. She was thorough in checking on allergens for me. Prices were reasonable for a touristy area and we left with full bellies and a happy experience.

Google
Beautiful place with delicious food. We waited quite a while before we got our food, but it was worth it. I believe they made it fresh. We both had authentic German meals. Having lived in Germany for five years, I can tell you our food was as good as anything I had in Germany. Do yourself a favor and eat here.

We sat outside with our dog and they brought a bowl of dog water. The food and service both were magnificent. I can't wait to go back. FRIED CHEESE! YUMMY! Hubby had pancakes, yummy!

Google
The food was amazing and the servers were very sweet. Our drinks stayed full and the food was out very fast. We got breakfast and enjoyed the German Schnitzel breakfast, Muller's pancakes, and the Ham and Cheese Omelet. The fruit was fresh and sweet and the bacon was cooked great. The sweet tea was very good and the views and atmosphere were pleasant.

Google
Overall, average to below average experience. We ordered the potato soup—it was good, but it wasn’t really a soup. It was more like potatoes with thick sauce. 😀 Then we ordered the Pork Loin Schnitzel with potato salad and the Chicken Schnitzel. The pork loin was not tasty at all —I was basically eating breadcrumbs that were thicker than the actual meat. The cook clearly doesn’t realize that you can’t pound pork loin like that. On the other hand, the Chicken Schnitzel was actually very good. We finished with apple strudel and ice cream, which was good, but different from the way Czechs make it. Because they completely ruined my Pork Loin Schnitzel and everything else was just average, I can’t justify giving more than 3 stars.

Google
This was a great place to have breakfast. Very nice patio, the waitress we had was a doll…. But the food was something to be desired. I ordered just a 2 egg/ bacon/ potato and toast breakfast. The potatoes are 4.00 extra ( and weren’t good imo) and when I ordered I had asked what kinds of bread they had for toast and one of the options was rye so I picked that. I was upcharged another 1.00 for that without being told. My bacon was so overcooked we laughed that 2 of the 4 peices were inedible / rock hard and resembled a chicken bone or a pork rind ( see picture). I like crispy bacon but this was LOL. My husbands pancakes weee just basic pancakes. They were ok. Positive- a good large cup of coffee, waitress was really nice, nice patio.

Google
Cheese kabob was delicious. $20 maybe a little much. The duck was amazing! Chicken Greek salad was huge. We ate in the ice cream area. Sever was super attentive

Google
Dog friendly porches on the front and back! The chicken parm sandwich is delicious! French fries are fresh and come out hot! The goulash, chicken schnitzel, and fried potatoes were also enjoyed by the family!

Yelp
Went for breakfast and the food was delicious and full of flavor. The coffee was also great. Service was fast, helpful, friendly. They got very busy and stayed on top of everything! Good atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating

Yelp
A very fun, quirky place. Hey, if you're going to be in a town with a cafe that has fried cheese in the name.... you've got to visit. We were seated quickly, overall place is quite clean, and busy but attentive service. We had the fried cheese kabob appetizer, interesting... not sure it's something my intestinal system could have a repeat order on, but interesting. They serve it was a salad (?) and Texas toast. The dipping sauce I to ask our server what it was... the answer is tartar sauce. Well that's different. We ordered a cheeseburger to share, and the waitress didn't hear us say cheese, but in the end that's probably a good idea after the cheese app. Solid burger, good fries. We'd likely visit again when in cute little Helen.

Yelp
We stopped here to get breakfast while visiting Helen. They were very quick to sit us down and take our order. However, we didn't get the food until 45 minutes later. We were advised the kitchen was behind and that to do a breakfast order they have to clean the grill to do eggs. This makes no sense considering they have an all day breakfast. Why not have a grill for eggs? They also advertise their famous fried cheese but to me it was just a mozzarella stick lol Other than that there was nothing special about the breakfast. I hear the spaetzle was good tho. Not sure I'd come back. The decor was cute as it's part of Helen

Yelp
We chose this spot for breakfast and we were very well pleased with our decision. We sat outdoor looking over the other establishments since it was a nice day out. The ambiance of the place was awesome and very well decorated. The staff was very kind and very helpful when it came down to the menu because it was a German establishment. The service of the staff was an amazing even when we had to wait a little more for our food but then again we went when it was Octoberfest in the town so every place was jam packed. But let me tell you when that food came out everything was made with love and perfection as you can see from my photos. My chicken Shnitzel was to die for, it had bacon and a fried cheese in it and gave it that extra spunk with a sunny side egg on it. And if you've never tried a burger with a sunny side egg on it then you must try it. My GF had the breakfast plate with eggs, roasted potatoes seasoned to perfection. While my mother had her scrambled eggs with those roasted potatoes and toast. She also had a black coffee and said it was delicious. Overall this place went above and beyond our expectation and if we are ever back in Helen Georgia we will definitely visit again.

Yelp
This is another of my favorite restaurants in Helen. They have gluten free fried cheese, and it is amazing!!! I just love the texture of it. The roasted potatoes it comes with are thin sliced, are perfectly greasy and lightly salted. They also have gluten free schnitzel, which is phenomenal. The service is good, and the atmosphere is casual. They're open until 6, 7, or 8 pm, depending on the day. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Private parking is what got us in this cafe. And thankfully we did. We loved the food. Pretzel was very buttery.
google avatar

Meina M.

Yelp
Cute place the menu does have a lot of different options to choose from German food. If you aren't aware or had German food this could be a place to try for the first. Our server was nice and made sure we were good and made sure my mom had a great birthday sweet. I had the duck which was a little dry. Kiddos enjoyed their meal and my mom's salad was a nice portion.

Yelp
We dropped in for lunch while visiting Alpine Helen before Christmas and had a good experience overall. We grabbed a spot on the back deck and they were gracious enough to turn an extra heater on us to combat the cold. The food, albeit overpriced, is good and pretty standard for Helen. All of the German food I've had in Helen has been just fine and that's kind of where this lands. We didn't care for the fried cheese, but we did enjoy our lunch with the highlights being the mushroom gravy, roasted potatoes and the goulash soup!

Yelp
We were in Helen, Georgia to check out the town and we stumbled upon this restaurant. The ambiance was nice, the service was good and the server was very kind. The was good!

Yelp
This place had delightful food, though when they say they're open for early dinner, they mean early dinner. We popped in around 6:45 and ordered at the counter on the patio. They let us order as a to-go, and then we ate on the patio. I had the spaetzle with creamy mushroom sauce and added chicken. LOVED! and I suppose it was good that it was in a to-go box because I could only finish half. Anyway, I think this place could do a great late-night business with a limited menu. The fried cheese sounded good! But not at dinner time (ha!). It's in a good location to stop in while walking around the town. Wish we could've gotten the full experience though!

Yelp
Walking around Helen and came across this place. Cute inside. When I saw famous fried cheese I was sold. I'm a cheeseaholic to the max. Ordered the fried cheese with mozzarella, cheddar and brie. Got served pretty quick after ordering. Omg it was so tasty with a thin flavorful crust. Not sure which cheese I liked the best. Also got bratwurst which came with mustard. That was good as well but my fave was the cheese which came with ranch dipping sauce. I wish this place were in Kansas City.

Yelp
We came in the beginning of March, and there was only one other small party eating inside. Scored one of the very few free restaurant parking spots right in front of the restaurant and the parking lot. It was a bit chilly inside and the old pop hit music was loud. They lowered the volume of the music a little bit after my mother-in-law asked. We ordered Czech entrees, the Schweinebraten and Roasted duck. Both of the entree meats had flavor but parts of the duck was a little dry. They both needed a sauce so we asked for a side of mushroom gravy ($3), which was good and made the dishes taste better. They both came with cooked shredded sweet red cabbage, sauerkraut, and homemade bread dumplings (more like slices of bread), which were all okay. The sauerkraut was not extremely tangy, more mild. Bread dumplings were soft-would have been better if they had a sauce/gravy to soak up. For dessert, ordered a warm apple strudel and chocolate fudge cake to go. They were both okay. The chocolate fudge cake tasted like it was from a cake box. Our waitress was kind and friendly. They have high chairs available. No changing table in the bathroom. Didn't realize until after there was a 4% processing fee that was automatically added. Not sure if that was because they assumed we were going to pay with credit card or not. So make sure to ask if that can be taken off if you're not paying with credit card.

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast. Have no idea why this is so far down on the yelp list. It seriously needs to be bumped up toward the top. The men ordered the pork schnitzel, eggs, & potatoes with mushroom gravy and enjoyed every single bite. Only criticism I have is that the gravy could've been a little thicker but it was packed with flavor. I had the chicken biscuit with mushroom gravy. The fry on both the chicken and the pork schnitzel was exquisite. We also had some of the namesake fried cheese. Everything lived up to its name. Pop in for a bite. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Places like Helen are an extreme oddity of a town. They aim to pay tribute to a culture, but also distort it into something that is difficult to describe. In this case, it a strange combination of North Georgia country tradition, with a light overcast of German flare. It is as touristic as towns like this get. Zdenek Muller, the head chef and family owner, got his culinary training in Prague and opened this gem of a restaurant. Muller family came to Helen on a vacation 19 years ago and fell in love with the town, deciding to open a restaurant. This particular review will focus on the breakfast experience at Muller's. The bratwurst platters are substantial enough to feed multiple people. The bratwurst is tasty. Breakfast potatoes are solid. And after a meal like this, the beer from last night is sufficiently greased over. There is a pleasant front patio and while it is facing a road, it's not an extremely busy one, thus making for a rather nice spot outdoors to enjoy a meal. As a whole, pleasant folks and good European inspired fare.

Yelp
Ok nothing special. I had the duck. I would have liked the skin to be a little crispier. Potatoes were over salted, spaetzle was cold.

Yelp
After spending a couple of hours tubing with friends, we were ready to have something to eat. As we were looking to pick a place, I recalled that they had referenced fried cheese from this place as an option earlier. I didn't want to control the plans, but I was immediately sold and hoped they'd agree to introduce me to Muller's--they did. We stood at the door to await being seated and were quickly met by a smiling, friendly hostess/waitress. She let us pick our table and got us some menus. The interior of the restaurant is very casual and cozy, and has a chill ambiance like your local dive bar. Every staff member looked to be in a good mood and added to the fun environment. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. I knew what I wanted within about two minutes of looking at the menu. I went with the Fried Cheese Sandwich (with mozzarella) + upgraded side: Homemade Goulash Soup. Our food arrived hot and fast. The fried cheese sandwich was everything I dreamed it would be and more. The huge hunk of melty fried cheese... the crisp crunch or the lettuce, pickles, cucumber, and onion... the juicy tomato... all sandwiched together with the golden bun... I will dream about this for weeks. They asked if we wanted any ranch or honey mustard, and I asked if we could have both. She brought back cups of each that were definitely more than enough to share and were the perfect addition for my sandwich. I mixed them both on my plate and dipped my sandwich in. Yum! The goulash was also great. The beef chunks were tender and shredding apart, the diced potatoes were soft, and the broth was flavorful. It was hearty and filling. Thanks for serving us! I look forward to taking my boyfriend here because I know he will be absolutely obsessed with the fried cheese!

Yelp
Reflecting on this entire experience I think three stars was generous.... My husband and I still talk about what a rough experience this was. So, changing it to two stars.
google avatar

Margaret H.

Yelp
Service is great, the girls here are super kind and very attentive. The food was good not great, the potato wedges were the best part to be honest.

John K.

Yelp
Have the fried cheese sampler platter, enjoy the schnitzel, any of them, you need to work that out with your particular food God as you will have choices. Eat the spaetzle with abandon as it is good... Hard to give it a five star as I'm a functioning alcoholic and they served no Pilsner's. Still it was good, picked up some Metamucil on the way home for the "cheese effect" I knew was coming. Mullers will live fondly in my memories...

Valerie M.

Yelp
Oh boy, where to start. I ordered a glass of milk and it was brought out with milk spilled all over the outside of the glass and milk pooling on the table. I couldn't pick up the glass without getting milk all over my hand. Had to wipe down the glass and table. Knew it was going to be a rough meal when the drinks get screwed up. The restaurant was less than half full-- nowhere near "busy". They seemed to be filling staffed, as there were consistently 2-3 girls behind the counter chatting. With that in mind, it took quite a while for the food to come out-- especially since it was just a plate of pancakes and a veggie omelette. The pancakes were cold and they brought no syrup. I had to ask them to reheat the plate and bring syrup. Plate came back to the table and was like warm and there were 2 single serve syrups..... these aren't children's pancakes--that wasn't even close to being enough. Had to ask for more syrup. It's expensive to eat out these days. The last thing I want to spend money on is a microwaved plate of pancakes, spilled milk, not enough condiments.... Don't waste your time and money here.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this German food. We shared the Pork Schnitzel with potato salad. Fast service.

Jeremy W.

Yelp
Ok let's start at the top...the food was good....not great but good. The fried cheese which is what I was there for was over fried and most of the cheese was lost. The knockwurst breakfast was good as well. The service was real good. The little girl taking care of us was quick and courteous. The ambiance is nice.....it's all German....its an Alps theme town so they all pretty much are. If you are in Helen I would suggest this restaurant because of value for money. It's good food for a decent price.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute spot with yummy German food! We got the brats with potatoes salad, so good! They do not serve alcoholic drinks but you can bring your own in.
google avatar

Yelp
*FOOD* I ordered the breakfast sandwich with cheese, and it hit the spot. The eggs and bacon were between two toasted Texas toast slices, which was great. I wasn't a huge fan of my latte, but they have a very large drink menu sure to please your party. They have many options for their all-day breakfast sure to please everyone. *AMBIANCE* This place is homey and intimate. They have seating on their front and back covered patios as well as inside dining options. *SERVICE* Everyone we interacted with here was extremely friendly. We had a large party, and they were more than happy to accommodate us. They had a 40 minute wait once you placed an order for food, but they expressed this to everyone at the hostess stand, so you weren't surprised. Everything came out hot and fresh after the wait.
google avatar

Tonya P.

Yelp
So glad we added this place to try during our quick visit to Helen. The fried cheese is a must, the service is so friendly and fast and the inside feels homey and cozy. You can choose to sit inside or outside. We went on a cold windy day but we chose to sit outside because it's covered and there are heaters. It was a great choice because we got to enjoy our food while staying warm and still viewing the town. We went just for the fried cheese but the fried cheese was so good we will be coming back for more and to try more items on their menu. We got the Fried Cheese Kebab Appetizer. It came with Mozzarella, Brie and Cheddar, all were so good! I could have sat there all day eating more. We also got their hot chocolate and it was some of the best hot chocolate I've had. It tastes authentic and homemade. I highly recommend giving the hot chocolate a try especially on a cold day and I highly recommend giving this place a try if you're ever in Helen, GA.
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
Family of 4. We all got something different including the cheese kabob appetizer and dessert. All the food was great. No complaints there. Our servers were very attentive and brought things in a timely fashion.
google avatar

Bear K.

Yelp
Went there to try their famous Fried Cheese breakfast. Very few tables to begin with on the inside. It was about 48 degrees. Got there around 9:30 a.m. on a Thursday and were fortunate to land one of those tables while people that came in right behind us had to wait quite a while. The waitress got the tables mixed up when bringing the check and that took a while to straighten out. Although the Fried cheese lived up to it's billing, we found it to be a very expensive breakfast. Wouldn't come back.
google avatar

Savannah H.

Yelp
The food was not impressive and the service was more than horrible. Our waiter was very kind but when we asked where our food was after sitting for an hour already, the manager came over and she was beyond rude. Instead of coming over and apologizing for the kitchen being behind or any other excuse, she came and looked us right in the face and said "Is someone going to faint?" "Your food hasn't even been in for 45 minutes, it'll be out in 10-15 minutes" I'm sorry but that is not how you treat customers who have been waiting for 40+ minutes for food. The food, to add, was more average than anything and the prices were pricey.
google avatar

Heidi K.

Yelp
It is good. It is filling it. It just isn't any place that had anything stand out that made me desperate to return. Service was fine except we got our entrees 3 minutes after getting our appetizers. Other than that I appreciated the honesty when I asked if the Spaetzle was homemade and it is not. Schnitzel was decent, spaetzle was decent, roasted potatoes were descent , Vienna coffee was good, Fried Cheese was good. If you are hungry and this is your choice, you will leave satisfied, just not wowed.
google avatar

Denise N.

Yelp
I have been looking at this place for awhile on google and "things to do in Helen." Just to get this out of the way, i loooooove cheese! So, I was excited to try it out cause I was finally going to Helen. First, there was no inside seating, or so we were told as we tried to go inside. Usually I'm not one to complain about service but, the women working outside was very rude and mildly insulting to my son and I. Implying we were going inside to be seated before this other group who was waiting for outside seating. So that wasn't a great start. So being told we had no choice we sat outside. The fried cheese was ok, nice fry to it. The schnitzel was good, thin and fried lovely. Potato salad was amazing! Everything was just very rich and filling. Over all tasty but I'm willing to bet other places in Helen have better food and service.
google avatar

Branden T.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick snack. Had to try the mixed fried cheese. We ordered the appetizer which came with the mixed fried cheese 2 slices of side bread and a little mixed green salad. Just enough textures to break up the cheese! Also ordered the chicken biscuit. It was handbreaded with a homemade style dryer biscuit. Overall a solid morning snack
google avatar

Bill W.

Yelp
Quick stop to try the Deep Fried Cheese Kabob with Fries. Seating was quick, staff was friendly and attentive. The kabob was good, perfectly prepared, fries were hot and crisp. We were eyeing other food coming out and it all looked good. No complaints
google avatar

Yelp
Nothing special at all! The food was overpriced and mediocre at best. The service wasn't great either. We will definitely not be back.
google avatar

Jen S.

Yelp
We had a fantastic experience at Muller's. We ordered the cheese kabob, highly recommending you share that with multiple people . My husband got the Hungarian Goulash and it was amazing! The service was quick and kind. They checked in on us frequently which was very appreciated.
google avatar

Yelp
We arrived thirty minutes before the posted closing time on a Sunday night. We were warned by the front desk at our hotel that sometimes restaurants "just close" if they aren't busy; we kept that in the back of our mind as we parked (outrageous fee to park for literally 20 minutes) and walked to Muller's. When we walked in we were told that they were going to close so we couldn't dine in but they would be more than happy to take our order and we could either eat it on the porch or take it with us. It was a bit too cold to eat outside so we decided to take it with us. We ordered two Chicken Schnitzel sandwiches (one plain and one with everything), a Chicken Schnitzel plate, a Brat Appetizer and Loaded Fries. My son loves chicken fingers and chicken sandwiches. He has eaten so many of both, he is pretty much the household expert of both of these things. He really enjoyed his Chicken Schnitzel sandwich as did my daughter. My husband really enjoyed the Chicken Schnitzel and the brat. My fries were the only disappointing meal in the bunch; the toppings on the fries were pretty much non-existent but the ranch was amazing.
google avatar

Alan R.

Yelp
Solid food. Not super authentic but enough for a town like Helen. I'd say this the best place to eat for a few hundred miles.

Yelp
When your trying to find breakfast in Helen GA after a long day and night of drinking beer at Oktoberfest and you come across a restaurant called Muller's Famous Fried Cheese Cafe you head to Muller's Muller's Famous Fried Cheese Cafe. We arrived around 10:30AM on a Sunday want were able to great a table inside. I was the last one available but there was plenty of seating outside. Once seated our waitress bought us menus and ordered drinks. I will say all the waiters and waitresses seemed to really enjoy working here. I will say they do not serve alcohol. We noticed a number of people with mugs come in and ask then quickly leave. After looking over the menu I was in-between the German Schnitzel Breakfast and the Fried Cheese Breakfast but Ashley said she was getting the Fried Cheese Breakfast so that made it easy for me. I got the Pork Schnitzel with eggs over easy, served with roasted potatoes, and added a side of their Mushroom Gravy. Our food came out quickly and everything looked great. My Schnitzel was great and very tender. I will say what added to the meal the most for me though with the Mushroom Gravy. If you are getting the Schnitzel you have to get it. I just adds so much flavor to the Schnitzel and the mushrooms were great as well. I'll say it again it's a must. The potatoes were also very too too. A nice big and heavy German Breakfast. Might need a nap after though. I also tried Ashley's Fried Cheese which as also very good. Had amazing cheese pull. Will for sure be back to Muller's next time we are in Helen.
google avatar

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
We wanted to try some German food while in Helen and this spot looked like our best bet. We made the mistake of visiting during Oktoberfest. This involved a headache trying to find parking and a very long wait at the restaurant. My husband and I shared: - Fried Cheese Kebab Appetizer - Jaeger Schnitzel with Spaetzle - Kaese Schnitzel with Potato Salad - Peach Strudel - Apple Strudel My top two dishes were the Jaeger Schnitzel and the fried cheese. I loved the mushroom sauce in the schnitzel and you can't go wrong with fried cheese. I think the mozzarella was my favorite so I'd go with that next time. I think they used canned peaches in the peach strudel and I'm a bit of a stickler for fresh peaches in dessert. I probably wouldn't go for that one again. If you're looking for good German food in Helen, I'd recommend coming here. I'd definitely avoid Helen all together during Oktoberfest if you don't like crowds.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Not German. The potato salad was not German potato salad it was regular southern style with capers in it. There was NO beer for Oktoberfest and the schnitzel was dry and cold. Would no go here again
google avatar

Kelly R.

Yelp
We went for all day breakfast. Menu said homemade biscuits. Asked if they were homemade and told they were frozen. The "roasted" potatoes were deep fried. I asked what kind of bread they offered for toast and was told white, wheat and rye. I ordered rye. When the bill came there was a $1.00 "up charge" for the one slice of bread they had put on the plate???? Service was pleasant, but even my husbands coffee was $1.00 more than was on the menu. Am I expecting too much?
google avatar

Danielle K.

Yelp
Expectations are not high. Let's see how this goes... I know, I know. What was I expecting? A German restaurant in a Bavarian tourist area is probably not where I'll find the most authentic food but you'd think this place would have some kind of dignity. The reviews had this place ranked in an ok place and I know there aren't any German food experts that are coming here and eating reviews but I'd like to just share that this probably shouldn't be your first stop and you shouldn't be coming here and thinking this is in any way authentic German. Pretzel was stale, bad, cheese was velveeta. Husbands food had a hair in it and my food was ok but nothing amazing. My only ask is that you don't think this is real German food. Please!

Yelp
Waited over 1.5 hours for food from the time we ordered. The food for half the party came out 45 minutes before the other part. The coffee came out cold in a glass that was broken in multiple places. We were given water and had to refill out it ourselves. The orders around us came out wrong.

Yelp
Very cute European place, I was wanting schnitzel really bad, we got the pork schnitzel with mushroom sauce and potato salad and it was very good. The customer service was great and friendly. We didn't have to wait long for the food, they have indoor and outdoor seating. I will be back when I go back to town!

Yelp
The food was delicious, I really loved the fried cheese sandwich and Spaetzel. The only bad thing is it took more than hour to come out. It's certainly not fast food, but an hour to fry a slab of cheese and toast the bun is wild.

Yelp
When all the other restaurants have a wait time of an hour, we strolled right in to be seated right away. We ordered a Ruben, a pork schnitzel sandwich, two pork steak dinners. I think all the pork dishes were the tiniest but dry. But the mango lemonade, peach iced tea, easy dining, and great service made up for that.

Yelp
We went to the restaurant wanting breakfast as I have seen on Yelp but there was no breakfast category on the menu given to us. We ordered the closest thing we could find to breakfast. After we already ordered, we heard another table order a omelette which was clearly not on the menu we had. We saw him point at a separate menu which was not given to us. We weren't happy but let it slide. After our food was dropped off our server was ignoring us and anything we needed we had to ask another server while the other table near us was being checked on regularly. The experience was highly disappointing. My husband really liked his cheddar & ham Brie but I was not a fan of my meal.

Yelp
A Pleasant Surprise: Muller's was a great place for everyone with a variety of food. I ordered the Pork Schnitzel Sandwich with a Mango Peach Mixed Italian soda. It was delicious. The sandwich was seasoned perfectly. The soda was creamy and sophisticated. Although Muller's served no alcoholic beverages, it had a better atmosphere without. Our waitress was extremely kind and friendly who served us with confidence and passion. We were seated on the back patio with no one else there so we had a perfect experience and atmosphere. You should go to Muller's for a dinner that will fill you up and taste good in Helen.

Yelp
We stopped here on a quick detour to Asheville and was excited to explore why it was "famous." The menu was pretty basic but we were intrigued with the cheese kebab so we had to order it. Visually it looked good but taste wise, the coating seemed to taste more bitter and salty than anything. Not sure if it was the batter or if it's meant to taste that way. The biscuits also looked better than they taste- super dry and crumbly and not expecting that for "homemade" biscuit. However, the side of fries and the dill sauce it was served with was delicious!
