"Mundano is a new casual, yet sophisticated restaurant located at 1935 N. Lincoln Park West, Lincoln Park. The venue aims to bring energy and a positive work culture to the neighborhood by empowering employees and setting boundaries to improve working conditions. The menu is inspired by Latin America with items like savory churros and Chinese dan dan noodles with lamb chorizo, reflecting a mix of influences. Chef Ross Henke, who previously worked in Logan Square, and Trista Baker, co-founder of the Restaurant Culture Association, work together to create a supportive environment for staff. The restaurant also features art from local artists, a chef’s table, and a separate bar and lounge area. Beverage director Laura Kelton introduces a changing drink menu, and the restaurant uses a pooled tip system to ensure equitable treatment for employees." - Ashok Selvam
