"Musée de l’École de Nancy In Nancy, visitors can download an art nouveau itinerary for free from the tourist office website, then tour 250 buildings and storefronts featuring wrought iron, stained glass, and ceramics. They can also visit the Musée de l’École de Nancy, one of France ’s few museums dedicated to the art nouveau movement in Lorraine. About a 45-minute walk from Place Stanislas, the museum highlights the region’s contributions to architecture, decorative arts, and furnishings, with pieces by key artists like Louis Marjorelle, Jacques Gruber, and Émile Gallé. Surrounding the museum (which is closed Mondays and Tuesdays), there are several more outstanding examples of École de Nancy architecture, including the Villa Majorelle and several buildings along Rue de la Commanderie and Avenue Foch."
Excellent and highly specialized collection in local art nouveau. A bit amateurish in museum management so far, so it's not yet a broad international destination. Descriptions are bilingual at times, solely in French often -- international tourists struggled. The gift shop could have a lot more on art nouveau. Some of the descriptions are inside rooms that we can't walk into so it's hard to read. The staff was very publicly complaining about their jobs. I see it as having strong potential but needing a more professional management.

An amazing art nouveau collection of furniture, stained glass, and rooms with carved and curved panelling.
Mosaic flooring.
Exquisite carpentry skills in every room.
The garden has another round building with an aquarium which looked amazing from the outside.

Wow! A fantastic collection of furniture and beautiful windows.
Resting in the garden on a very hot day was very welcome.
We did the self guided walking tour, then this museum and then Villa Majorelle.
Get the joint ticket for the museum & villa as it's a bit cheaper.
Small shop where you can purchase postcards, jigsaws etc.

This place is amazing. My wife and I both loved it. The best museum in town.

Nancy was an important city in the art nouveau movement in the late nineteenth century. The museum contains extensive glass, ceramic and furniture work by Emile Galle, a leader of this new art in Nancy.
There are also works by Jacques Gruber and others.
This is an amazing museum. Highly recommended.

Free for students when card is presented and, due to interventions in the house, the normal price is 5€. I really recommend for Art Nouveau lovers, it’s a well kept house fully furnished. It’s not a huge space so your visit might be quick. The garden is really beautiful in spring.

A must when in Nancy! Very well curated, I recommend getting a combo ticket with Villa Majorelle - it could be purchased online in advance for a specified time slot.
