I had a great time here with friends. The workers are friendly and food is delicious. There is also a large parking lot which is amazing. The karaoke rooms are price friendly.

Had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious — full of authentic flavors and generous portions. What stood out even more was the service. The staff were incredibly kind and made us feel very welcome, especially my child. They were patient, friendly, and even brought out a little treat just for them. Will definitely be coming back!

My crew and I have come here twice now for a nighttime karaoke session and to enjoy some great Korean food. All things considered, this is a great restaurant. The vibes are immaculate. The mics and karaoke set are pretty good quality. The food is to die for! They are on top of service as well. Literally have no complaints what so ever. Thank you for your great food, customer service, and karaoke services! You’re amazing.

Great place for some Korean food! It is a bit on the pricey side. If you love intestine, ordered their spicy pork intestine, it is really good!

Google
Good atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, good food cooked in front of you. Several things offered on the menu were not available. The aloe juice is delicious though. Karaoke was absolutely a fun, good time. However the seats have covers on them and they are dirty, stained and the seating is uncomfortable. Even still, we sang until we could sing no more.

Google
Went there to eat with my girlfriend the other night bc Kim’s Restaurant was crowded that night. So we decided to came here bc the reviews was not bad. when we got here it was really dark in the dining room and we’re the only one table there during the dinner time. soups was really oily. the steamed egg custard was overcooked and it cost 15$. unbelievable everything was overpriced for the food quality we got. Won’t recommend here.

Google
Great customer service. The chicken feet was kinda spicy, but it tasted delicious tho. Can’t wait to try other dishes next time!

Yelp
I came in with my family as soon as it hit 5:08pm and the waitress was sweet. The food was good! And the service was well since everyone was friendly. I recommend this to everyone who is near by!

Yelp
It has been ages since i came here last time, party of 2 dined in on Saturday night, nice atmosphere, we already had dinner and went to grab a drink, ordered seafood fishcake soup and pajun and yogurt soju, I wanted skewers fishcake soup but they ran out of it and recommended pot of seafood fishcake served on burner/stove, which was better(?) alternative, and combo pajun seem too dry, burnt and salty, I mentioned that to the server who was very kind and pleasant, he kindly re-made us seafood pajun instead which was so much better and good Yogurt soju was good too We moved everything to the noraebang/karaoke room and sang for two hours My partner ordered 3 more beers and at the end, he gave us some bonus drinks on the house which was also nice, He was very pleasant, friendly and kind I cannot wait to go back for that seafood fishcake soup again! It was so good and also it had some udon noodle in it too

Yelp
Came here twice: once for restaurant and another for karaoke so this review consists of both: Restaurant: Even though there's a grill in front of the table, all foods are made inside the kitchen. When asked why, the server responded because people have injured / burnt themselves in the past. You have to ask for complimentary rice. Unlike other BBQ places, they do not provide lettuce wraps. Banchan options are limited. Service: The server we had this time was friendly, however she didn't really know the menu and asked us for the menu letter. It's cool she's honest about it haha! They do check up on you if you needed to order anything else, however we had to ask for waters and banchan to be refilled. Karaoke: Affordable with the downside of having limited songs. They were missing a lot of the popular American ones. And don't have the full selection from artists but instead, around 5 songs per artist: Another downside is that for our party of 8, the air conditioning/ circulation wasn't strong enough and we ended up sweating.. Food: The Grilled Intestines and Korean cheese corn was delicious and I'd get these again. Update: got the grilled intestines again but this time was pretty burnt :( I recommend ordering items slowly as they don't taste good after sitting out for a bit. They also serve alcohol. Latest visit update: They played too much BlackPink songs (toxic femininity) and it's just waaay too much as someone who does not support BP... makes us reconsider visiting this place :/

Yelp
I was looking for KBBQ in the area since my usual place was closed, and my friend found MUTA on Google maps so we went. It was super good and might be one of my favorite KBBQ places in the city now!! The prices are reasonable and portions are large. I especially liked that they have options that I don't see anywhere else, like gopchang (intestines, see pic) and spicy chicken feet (see pic). It did take some time to get seated despite tables being open, and we had to ask for lettuce twice before it arrived 10 mins later, but they seemed really busy so I wasn't sure if this was the norm. But I would still recommend to friends for the food and ambiance.

Yelp
Searching for places to eat in the local area and this place popped up. I don't normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was absolutely exquisite. Cutest little spot with amazing food. Their cheesy corn is to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! Also the service we received was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. They made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. Our waiter Jin was so kind to us and made our entire night. :) Just annoyed I had to share it lol.

Yelp
What can I say... I love Muta. Went back on 3/22 after not going in about a year... things have changed but for the most part everything is still great. SERVICE: The staff is ALWAYS super attentive. They cater to a more Korean crowd which is fine for my group as some of us lived in Korea, Love korean things... I definitely think your experience will be better if you understand Korean and can speak a bit. Ambiance: This place reminds me of the gogi places in Gwangju. Very classic for bbq. They play a good mix of new K-Pop (BTS. CLC, BlackPink) and stuff from wave 2 (2NE1, BigBang, Sister, SPICA). VERY GOOD FOR GROUPS) FOOD: Good cuts of meat, tteokbukki is AMAZING, portion are great. The only negatives are the pricing of the kimbap ($17) and the bbq no longer has a set so you buy everything individually (which is fine but not what we were used to from Muta in the past) Karaoke: Karaoke here is great! The use a Korean system with hangul remotes (I believe they have remotes that they've stickers with English)... you get 1HR free of karaoke if you spend $100(this may be a special from time to time) SIDEBARS: He wasn't there when we went but the owner is awesome. He's very kind, very accommodating, and he's generally a good guy. Go with a group you will for sure have fun' 23$ card limit

Yelp
I can't help but love this place. It's got a special no frills, good food, let loose vibe. Before you know it, you'll be drinking soju and nodding your head to Kpop like the regulars. Most of the menu items are served family style or "communal style." It's a proper Korean street food experience. You got the meat sizzling in front of you and the stew bubbling by its side. Scattered side dishes testing out your chopstick skills. Wide range of flavors from mild to spicy. Me? I come for the extra extra spicy. The kind that hurts but keeps you coming for more. Makes my mouth water just by the thought of it. Here's my classic go-to's: 1. Jjyusam Bokum - spicy octopus and pork 2. Fried Chicken - trust me it's not ordinary 3. Any meat on the grill - you choose 4. Wang gyeran mari - probably the biggest omelet you'll ever see. meant for sharing. seems so basic but I don't know why it's so good every time For the adventurer: 1. Bulmakchang - hot and spicy grilled pig intestine. I had my doubts but dammmn it goes well with some soju and beer. 2. Bossam - steamed pork belly. you make lettuce wraps with them. comes with other greens and toppings Get your karaoke on after you're fed and intoxicated! Noticed that they recently renovated the rooms. Tambourines optional.

Yelp
This place is a must-go for Karaoke in Philadelphia! A little far from center city but worth the Uber ride plus it's only a few minutes drive from the Hmart at Elkins Park. They have plenty of rooms for small and big groups that are available most of the time even without a reservation. Only $30/hour per room (might just be for the smaller room), a diverse selection of songs (English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese and more) with great Korean food and drinks that you can order to eat inside the Karaoke rooms.

Yelp
Great place to host parties during covid! Lots of food options, drinks, staff was extremely friendly and attentive to our needs.

Yelp
First time trying Korean bbq with a coworker and it was good, definitely will be coming back again

Yelp
Had the cheese buldahk! It is very good! I love the cheese on it! It is a good spicy taste! Love the combination!! My sister and friend who do not like too much spicy thinks it is really spicy, but I thought it wasn't! We went when it was not too busy! The place is pretty expensive though!

Yelp
Definitely bring your Korean friends with you if you're not Korean! They kept trying to explain everything in Korean to me and my non-Korean friends when we were ordering food. Though, it's not anything to stress out about either because the staff are friendly and provide good service. There's also constant, accompanying k-pop music during your meal as they have the music videos playing on a big screen. The food is great and the karaoke selection is extensive enough with most of the classics available. Despite being in a tucked away, remote location, they offer a comforting environment to eat merrily and sing to your heart's content.

Yelp
Muta has hosted Philly as the best drinking, eating, and singing spot for decades! its fair to say they are the OGs of Philly'y Korean drinking culture. Their new menu preserved all their heavy hitting Korean classics like the rich and hearty stews and meats that are cooked table-side. They have done a great job of introducing new twists like pork-belly kimbop (think handroll) and wasabi shrimp. Their fried chicken and fries is BOMBBOMB! its a whole chicken broken down, not drowned in sauce, just a crazy crispy crunch into the juiciest chicken. if you have a large party, they even have a van that shuttles (for a reasonable flat fee) you to and from home safely that we have used several times for (sloppy) birthday bashes.

Yelp
Waited over an hour and did not get our food. However, two tables came after us and they're all feasting. They gave us side dish at the beginning to get our taste buds going. But when asked for a little more we were told 'no more'. Furthermore, the staffs were not attentive at all. Sitting here for an hour and they did not ask us or say anything. Given that this is a BBQ place, they can just give us the food and we cook ourselves. I don't think it takes an hour to prepare raw meats! We could've finished eating already!

Yelp
This place is Amazing. The food is so fresh and prepared great. The staff is very quick to respond. I'll definitely go again.

Yelp
I've been here a few times but this last time we ordered gamjatang jungol and samgyupsal, I really really loved it. I left that meal feeling very satisfied. Can't wait for the next time to go back!

Yelp
The 4-star rating isn't for service or food. The inside could use a lot of work, but I came here for a heart attack of Korean meats, not to look at Pinterest recommendations for interior decorating. This little gem is tucked away, but worth the trip. It's one of those tough-to-find Korean restaurants with the grill at your table. The portion sizes, cuts of meat, variety of side dishes (more than 10!), and freshness of the veggies are the best I've been to in the Philly area. The samgyupsal is so thick and juicy. The service makes me feel like I'm right back in Korea: the waitress comes to your table and cooks the food for you, then follows up every few minutes to see if you need anything. And, in case you might need something, there's the little "door bell" at your table to page the waitress for help. And they didn't look at me weird when I asked for extra cloves of garlic to put on the grill. Also, solid selection of soju (different kinds) and various light beers to go with your meal. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Me and my friends had tried Korean food once before and it wasn't that good so when we decided to go to Muta we were a bit scared. The food turned out to be AMAZING! One dish after the other, it was like, delicious-scrumptious-marvelous every time! We went for about an hour of karaoke after which was fun. A couple of us have a little bit of experience reading Korean so we didn't have that hard of a time working the controls. But if you do have some trouble ask one of the staff members- they were awesome and very helpful. It was a very informal vibe and seemed like a great place to chill and enjoy good food with friends. Would recommend!

Yelp
Great local spot if you're in the mood for Korean. Olney actually has a plethora of great Korean restaurants, but muta is exceptional in what it does. And what it does best is the fried chicken platter and the mixed meat casserole. Also, it's great for a late night eat after a night on the town.

Yelp
I finally found a place that makes makchang. Couldn't find anywhere near philly. I love eating samgyupsal with makchang here. I highly recommend this place to other people! Must try~

Yelp
I had the gamja tang and had the fried rice with the leftover soup. It was so good. I will visit again to try different things.

Yelp
It's the best pub in Korea. This is the place where I feel most lonely in three years since I moved to Philadelphia. There is also a karaoke so you can go straight to the second lane after drinking. Thank you so much for Muta. Gamjang Tangand Gopchang Jeongol are the best. Be more prosperous.

Yelp
Decided to come out to Philly's koreatown to a little restaurant off of Front and Olney and unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. The place is clean and maybe the karaoke is jamming but the food, price, and portion size was definitely weak as F*#! Ended up paying like $18 for for three pieces of pork belly and $20 for maybe half an ounce of 90% vegetables bulgoggi! Overall the place is in a prime location but the price for what you get is just plain out "Retarded" I mean I can pick up the equivalent at H-Mart for 1/4 the cost. I did like the bathroom and charcoal grill. The side banchan was a total embarrassment and joke to every Korean restaurant in Philly and the crowd is shall I say "Ghetto/Low Income Koreans. INSTANT RAMEN! COme on son!! Lol The fried chicken platter was fair I must say they give you a bountiful amount for $25 including carnival style fries which I didn't mind but my wife didn't really appreciate. And the service was good in the beginning but getting out of there with a check and to-go box literally took 25 minutes. Anyways place was not the worst but there are far too many other places for me to goto before stepping in or recommending this place. So if you wanna pay high prices for sub-par Korean food I guess this is a great place to go, but still by far the best Korean place is "Dubu" in Elkins Park!

Yelp
Went here for a work event. The food was great and the karaoke room was really nice. There is free parking which is wonderful! Will be back again

Yelp
After my 8th or so visit, I finally decided I needed to give this place the review it deserves. First thing is the ambiance. An unpretentious, comfortable setting that transports you to South Korea every time. Except I've never been to Korea, so I wouldn't know, but you get what I mean. The place just makes you feel like your experiencing the culture of the food. Also they have an awesome outdoor tent, where I had the greatest time eating and enjoying the changing of seasons the other night. Second the food. I'm always impressed. The place has huge portions of quality meats and tons of complimenting dishes with amazing flavors. I almost always get this tofu soup with seafood and the pork belly (sampgyupsal), which I like to eat in lettuce wraps with kimchi, sesame oil and this other red sauce. I usually skip the rice because I'm on a carb free diet, but sometimes I like to sneak in some pasta salad into the lettuce wrap cause it's so good. Lastly the service is so epic, I almost get mad at other places because I forget this place is an anomaly. They have this button on every table to call a waitress and they're fast- hit it and next thing you know they're at your service. But, for their sake I wouldn't abuse it, it's just really nice to have when you're too polite to wave someone down. Last thing, come with a crew, grab a beer and a bottle (or two) of soju then see where your night takes you. I always have a great time.
