"Myeongdong Kyoja is a family-owned place in operation since 1966. The restaurant, which offers only four items on the menu, specializes in dumplings and noodle soup. An impressive number of patrons flock here daily, largely because all the dishes, including its signature garlic-laden kimchi, are made in-house. Simple décor and service come with hefty portions at affordable prices. It has a sister operation in the same area of Myeong-dong." - Michelin Inspector

The cold noodles were great as was the cabbage kimchi. The kimchi is slightly spicier than others we’ve had in the city. I’m not sure I like the other noodle dish as much as these 2 dishes. Also had the dumplings. To be fair, I come from a city with plenty of awesome dumpling restaurants so the dumplings tasted quite average. Generally the food is a good intro to Korean noodles and it is to pricey. You have to queue to get into the restaurant - doesn’t take too long. Also take note that both Google and NAVER maps seem to lead you to the back door!!! the front of the restaurant is along the touristy thoroughfare.

Came to this place for lunch after seeing it was previously a Michelin star restaurant. Only has a few items on the menu but they were all quite sizeable and delicious. Great value for money. Plenty of seating so didn't have to wait for a table.

Really refreshing cold soybean noodles after walking around half the day. The broth was extremely thick and really clung to the noodles. It had a bit of peanut-y flavor and a nice kick of garlic. There was no wait when I stopped by but they did direct me to the 2nd floor where there were more empty tables. There's a kiosk ordering system and bathrooms available.

We went to this branch cause of the shorter queue, i love the simplicity of the menu, we tried everything in the menu. definitely the best dumplings i had when i was in seoul last november. and the noodles were really good too, it feels homey and not mass produced. but the star has to be the cold noodles. that was really good and balanced. servings are good too! you will feel satisfied after. great value for money.

Absolutely phenomenal food. I tried the Mandu-soup and holy moly it was great! Kimchi very spicy and garlicky but I saw other people mixing in their soups etc and did the same and it added extra flavour to the main dish!! So yum! It’s a two floor restaurant so don’t be afraid to check out upstairs. You order first on the vending machines when you arrive and give your docket to the waiters and then they will seat you. Ps the cutlery is in a drawer in the table!!

Ate here for breakfast. Got here on a Saturday a little after 1030am and was lucky that there was no wait. Tried all the dishes that were available (they didn't have the cold summer dish ). Loved the broth in the knife cut noodles kalguksu. The spicy noodles was cold and refreshing , slightly spicy /sweet. Glad to have tried this place

It's just a place that specializes in a few things and they do them spectacularly well. The prices for the food are also beyond reasonable. This place seems to always be busy and although the food comes out quickly, it's definitely not anything like a fine dining experience. I know it's on everyone's list of places to go already, so I'll just confirm that in my experience, it's well worth the trip to one of the locations.

Our hostel host suggested here…and quickly we learned why! Michelin star restaurant…a good perfected 4 item menu. One was already sold out. The suggestion given to us was order the noodles and the dumplings. The kimchi is spicy so put it in the soup! Loved every bite! Understandably this place is popular so it’s no surprise that the wait staff can be less than desirable…I’m sure every day is a long day for him.
