Myeongdong Kyoja Itaewon

One of my favorites so far. You need to order on the kiosk while you wait (they don’t say that, they just assume that you know) and then you bring your ticket in to hand the waitress when you sit. More flavorful than just a standard bone broth for the kalguksu. Good sauce on the bibim noodle and also great Mandu. The kimchi was the spiciest I’ve had so far but was great. Big line that moves quickly. They take orders very close to break time but will not take them at that time at all (obviously)

You know, there are places that stay with you. Not because they are fancy, or new, but because they are honest. This restaurant is one of them. I have been enjoying their food for more than twenty years, and let me tell you, they have earned their reputation. This location is one of their few branch restaurants, and the taste is exactly the same as the main one. Their soup is rich and full of flavor. Every spoonful brings a smile. No doubt. And they deserve credit for that. Now, accessibility is not great. There is no subway station nearby. You might wonder how they stay so crowded. It is strange, but somehow they are always full. Waiting is part of the experience. Mandatory. The ordering process is a little different. When you arrive, you insert your credit card into the kiosk, place your order, and take two tickets, your meal ticket and your receipt. Hold onto them. When your turn comes, the staff will guide you to your seat and collect the tickets. It is busy. Very busy. The staff try hard, even in the chaos. They do their best. But they are human too. Do not expect fine dining service. Just appreciate the effort. One more thing. There is no parking lot. And make sure you check their break time before you go. But at the end of the day, it is worth it. The food speaks for itself. Enjoy.

This place is so local, family owned and simple but delicious item!!!! We had noodle soup two so much food and one dumpling like 24$. Service fast and all local ppl here we are the only two tourist. Came there twice to eat while I was on holiday in seoul for 1 months. Love the noodles with dumplings. Weekends morning get a little busy but it was quick to get in.

I was looking for a place to eat in Itaewon and I stumbled across this one - not knowing it was in the Micheline guide. The food was great and the price was reasonable - the queue wasnt too long. However, the ordering machine doesnt accept cash

Came to this place for lunch after seeing it was previously a Michelin star restaurant. Only has a few items on the menu but they were all quite sizeable and delicious. Great value for money. Plenty of seating so didn't have to wait for a table.

The cold noodles were great as was the cabbage kimchi. The kimchi is slightly spicier than others we’ve had in the city. I’m not sure I like the other noodle dish as much as these 2 dishes. Also had the dumplings. To be fair, I come from a city with plenty of awesome dumpling restaurants so the dumplings tasted quite average. Generally the food is a good intro to Korean noodles and it is to pricey. You have to queue to get into the restaurant - doesn’t take too long. Also take note that both Google and NAVER maps seem to lead you to the back door!!! the front of the restaurant is along the touristy thoroughfare.

A very traditional and well known restaurant. Only few options to choose from, but i can guarantee they will all taste amazing. It’s recommended in the Michelin guide for a good reason. We loved the food. The service was also good but you don’t have a lot of interaction with the staff.
