Mysttik Masaala

The food here is extremely mid. If you’re really craving Indian fusion and you have nowhere else to go, this is the place for you. However, if you want good Indian food there are many other places to go in the city. I ordered the chicken tikka masala bowl, and it was ok at best. The sauce and chicken itself were an unsettlingly bright color indicating that it is not at all authentic. The chicken was dry. The vegetable samosa was cold in the middle, and it did not taste good. The service was not good either. The server was really slow at first, which is fine maybe they are new, and they were nice at first, but I ordered two vegetable samosas the server only gave me one. I told them “I ordered two vegetable samosas and I only got one.” & they responded in a rude manner, “did I charge you for 2?” I said yes, and the server rolled their eyes and handed it to me. I would not recommend.

First time ordering. Ordered on Grubhub, they canceled order. Went to the location and the tech wasn’t set up. Got the tikka masala bowl. Barely tastes like Indian food. Tastes more like halal cart than Indian food. And I’m south Asian, so I know. This is pretty expensive for the taste. $17-$20. I can go to Spice Thai two blocks away and get way more food for $14-$18 and better food. If I go back to this spot, I’ll try the vegetable samosas and see if that’s good or not. But I won’t be ordering from here again unfortunately.

Food is tasty, but fast food type. Service was quock during lunch even though only one employee. It is located in the Urbanspace on E14th Street Opposite Irving Place, convenient to the subways at Union Square. Seating can be challenging at lunch and dinner in the urbanspace.

Ordered chicken tikka masala and it was very dry. More like chicken tikka with a drop of sauce. They were also out of naan. If you are craving chicken tikka masala, AVOID at all costs. You will be disappointed. Also, the server claimed the credit card machine is very slow and would I mind paying cash. Nope. Who carries around cash anymore?

Gave me the wrong order. Didn't realize until I got home. Also the guy is a bit rude. My friend asked if her order would be spicy and he had an attitude. She also didn't enjoy her food.

Despicable... This tikka masala was an absolutely nightmarish experience. The rice is unseasoned, watery, and abhorrent. The chicken looked like pulled turkey served in public schools for poor children. The seasoning was an abomination to all of Mumbai. I beseech the CEO of this company to never set foot in India, for his own sake. The mere presence of this tikka is sacrilegous... The "awards" they have on their walls must not be real, or perhaps written by a hooligan. Deception !

The Female server was extremely pleasant, she gave me 3 different types of samples of chicken tiki,curry,butter All were very good. Choose the butter chkn next time will be the curry. Nice serving of food 😌😋😊

Absolutely terrible, the food was cold, under spiced, and ridiculously overpriced. The staff was rude, and were out of napkins

I solely like to give 2-star ratings at restaurants or anywhere else but had to in the end...sorry not sorry. Dropped by this Indian eatery inside the UrbanSpace Food Hall in Union Square after buying some citrus vinegar at a Korean Food Pop Up not too far away from here. If you've expected food that would look at least decently similar from the pics on the menu, then you have definitely come to the wrong place. My advice is that I would suggest you to turn back right now and go somewhere else instead. Staff is friendly but only one staff working behind the counters. Ordered a bottle of mango lassi and the kebab rice bowl (supposed to be one of the top signature bowls on the menu). I didn't think so. Mango lassi was tasty but I have had better ones. As for the chicken kebab, it was flavorful and mildly spicy but looked nothing like the pic (not even 50% similar). Had to run back to the vendor and asked staff if that was really kebab just to see if I'd gotten the wrong order? Staff said that was really kebab so I said okay. Ugh not impressed, wasted my money. The worst thing about the whole meal was that the naan had the texture of a rubbery piece of leather which was absolutely nasty to begin with. I had to tug and pull at the naan in order to break it apart. I'm not sure what recipe they were following but that was not the way to go. Wasn't soft and fluffy like I thought it would have been if it was fresh. They accepted credit/debit card and cash as forms of payment. Lastly, I'm never ordering anything from this place ever again! Save your money, you'll thank me.

Cool area, lots of street vendors. The food was pretty fresh, but bland. The service was on point, if I ever go again I will get the Vindaloo

I recently visited Mysttik Indian Food, driven by a craving for something spicy, and this spot did not disappoint! I started with both the chicken and vegetarian samosas, which were perfectly crispy on the outside with flavorful fillings inside. The real star of my meal, though, was the chicken vindaloo. It packed just the right amount of heat and was bursting with spices that left me wanting more with every bite. Everything was cooked to perfection, making this a truly satisfying experience. If you're craving authentic and delicious Indian cuisine, Mysttik is the place to go!

Satisfactory quick bite for the Samosas. I had chicken and the veggie. The lady that helpful and friendly with my question about it.

I went into the Urbanspace for a quick meal before heading home after work since I was in the area and there was plenty people around the other venues, which should have been my first clue. The food was not worth the price they are charging. Barely any rice and the butter chicken was disappointing to say the least. While the space they hold is brightly lit and welcoming, I wish I could say the same for the food. Also the lady behind the counter was on a phone call the entire time, not at all a good look. I will visit Urbanspace again but I will avoid ever having a meal here again.

A wonderful quick meal (palak paneer and rice for me) and even more wonderful service! Highly recommend!

Had the vada pav and the samosa. The bread on the vada pav was like cardboard. The fillings were quite bland and under spiced. Service is very slow - there is just one person handling both the register and food prep. She prepped the food of the person who ordered after me first, which was irksome.

One of the food court stalls inside Urbanspace near union square. I ordered the Chicken Masaala over rice. Very different and not very seasoned. Not what I'm used to from other Indian restaurants. Can't stay I'd recommend this. Seems like it's meant for westerners.

The food was the worst Indian food I've ever had. The chicken masala was bland, dry and def was not chicken masala. I even asked to make sure if I was given the right order. The paneer was basic. They throw an insane amount of raw onions and garlic on top without asking. Never eating from here again.

This has to be the worst Indian food in the city. Tried the Tikka Masaala was dry as cardboard, went back to the cashier and exchanged it for a Curry Chicken which was equally overcooked. When I asked for a refund, the sweet gal tried to convince me that she sold meals all days and no one complained. So asked her " if you don't like a meal do you complain for your money back?" And she completed my return.
