The Best Restaurants In Universal Orlando - Orlando - The Infatuation

"There’s a banner at the entrance of Mythos that claims it’s the “World’s Best Theme Park Restaurant.” And while that might not be completely true, it is the best place to eat at Islands of Adventure, so be sure to make a reservation ahead of time. Mythos looks more like an attraction than it does a place to eat, with a towering faux-rock exterior, cavern-like ceiling, and huge windows that overlook the park. The menu is mostly Greek, with dishes like souvlaki bowls and a lamb burger topped with halloumi." - jacqueline dole

The 24 Best Things to Eat at Universal Orlando Resort | Eater

"A banner hanging outside this mythical-themed restaurant proclaims Mythos is the “World’s Best Theme Park Restaurant.” You’d think it couldn’t possibly live up to that boast, but somehow it does. The robust menu of Greek-inspired specialties includes plenty of options, but the pan-roasted salmon with shitake mushrooms and roasted carrot puree will surely cancel out the day’s sugary indulgences." - Carlye Wisel

Good quality food and an excellent break from theme park food. They have air condition indoor dining with a view outside as well as patio seating. This place is rated the number one theme park restaurant for several years in a row now. we had outstanding service from our waiter, Grant. He helped us with my new selections as well as giving advice for us for our next steps throughout the park. Our group had the grilled cheese and tomato soup and chicken and the bacon cheeseburger. The bacon cheeseburger have excellent flavor. The grilled cheese was really good, but I do think I prefer mine separate from soup. And the chicken is very moist and tender with a good flavor. We had citrus baklava and crème brûlée. The crème brûlée was pretty good-I like a little firmer crème-it was carmelized nicely. We were not impressed with the baklava. I do recommend reservations. We had reservations for 3 PM and there was a 30 to 45 minute wait out front. This was in the month of July on Wednesday.

We've eaten here twice. Once in 2019 and again in 2025. I remember it mainly for the service. They do a wonderful job and we appreciate their attentiveness towards people with allergies. It's a fun place to eat. Lots of hidden things to see while looking around. The food was good but not as good as I remember. Unfortunately the pad Thai my daughter received was pretty terrible. The flavor just wasn't anything special. And honestly it tasted like they used sweet and sour. It was weird. That being said the rest of us had good meals. Couscous was amazing. The Tahini is all dairy free but one has honey in it so is not vegan. We came in sweating and left shivering.

Google
Incredible meal in an incredible environment. Staff were friendly and food came reasonably quick. Pad Thai had a nice combination of flavours and textures, and the lamb burger was immaculately cooked and well garnished. The table beside us asked if they still did the bread - the waiter said only if requested - to which they said yes please. It’s my understanding that this is free and, if so, it would be nice to have known of it or have been offered it beforehand, without needing to ask.

To start off, the atmosphere in here is amazing. Definitely Mediterranean/ Desert vibes. The menus looks great and our Server, Logan was sensational! He made sure we had what we needed and checked on us regularly. He also had some conversation with us along the way. I really appreciate waiting staff that goes above and beyond. We started off with the lamb meatballs. They were great. Served with a sweet red sauce and a rosemary polenta, it was a perfect pairing. Next up was the oven fired chicken. It was moist and super flavorful. My wife also ordered a rum punch cocktail that was great. Overall, this is a great atmosphere, uncommonly good food, and a great staff. This will be a staple anytime I return to Islands of Adventure!

Google
My daughter took me here because we were celebrating my 50th birthday with a trip to Universal to see all the Harry Potter stuff. She did her research and picked this place. It did not disappoint. The service was great and the food was really good. I expected a premium to be put in the cost since it was located inside an amusement park however I thought the prices were very reasonable. The calamari was cooked perfectly and not chewy and the salmon was flavorful without being overpowered by the sauce. The tomato soup was very hearty. Overall a very pleasant and enjoyable dining experience and I can see why they have such a high rating and have been rating one of the best theme park restaurants for 10 years.

Google
This is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants. Everything on the menu is excellent. You will have to ask for the complimentary bread as it will not be offered to you. The inside of the restaurant alone is hard to describe, but if I were to try, it would be a deep underwater cave with visuals never observed by the human eye. The staff is absolutely superb and the dining experience is very relaxing. I would purchase a Park pass just to have access to this dining experience.

Google
Took my boys there last night because of the reviews that I had heard and the sign that they had. The ambience is very nice. The staff was not as friendly ,and the food was OK. At least my son enjoyed his ravioli however, I did not enjoy my pad Thai and my son got his chicken sandwich was very dry. Our server seemed very friendly however he did disappear for a bit of time he came back to refill her drinks and then disappeared again. I thought our our food took a little bit long to prepare so I have to say I was disappointed at my first time experience there.

Devon McKenzie

Google
Was tasty with a cool atmosphere. Only had to wait 20 minutes because we got there a few minutes after they opened at 11:00. As far as the food quality… for being voted best amusement park, it may have left a bit to be desired on food. Didn’t blow us away. Wife had the house salad with chicken. It was fine, but the dressing was basically flavorless. I had the lamb burger. Was good. The lamb flatbread appetizer was the best thing we tried. Perfectly executed appetizer. If you want to enjoy some yummy dishes that don’t taste like “park food”, we would recommend it.

Yelp
The ambience here is incredible & that's why we decided we wanted to go in the first place. We walked through a few weeks ago and had to come back & try it. The giant windows overlooking the theme park are so beautiful with all the water features of the restaurant. We got to sit at a table right by the windows which we were so excited about. Service was... interesting. All the staff seemed very unsure & distracted, like something else was going on that we didn't know about? So maybe something went down that we didn't know about or maybe they're just like that? Service took awhile but we were happy to sit & chat in this beautiful place. Started with the spanakopita dip which was delicious. It's a huge bowl and has all these toasty little pitas with it. Highly recommend & it could easily serve three people. We didn't finish it with two of us. I got the fork, knife & spoon grilled cheese and it was wonderful. Warm and rich flavors, and I loved the crispy bits of pork belly on the top. It provided a great contrast to the softness of the sandwich. The prices are reasonable for theme park prices. We will definitely be dining here again in the future.

Yelp
Service was phenomenal, but Mythos can't really hold a candle to the new Epic Universe restaurants (which we went to right before this). Also, since I've been to many WDW restaurants - it also can't hod a candle to some of my favorite spots like Tiffins. Overall the ambiance is cool but a little dated - once again compared to Epic! But, we enjoyed our meal here. It was a late ~8:45-9pm meal as the wait was much longer than quoted but we weren't in a rush. We shared: *Mezze Platter(V)- $15 (a tasting of house made hummus, baba ghanoush, marinated fennel, Kalamata olives served with charred pita) - the baba ghanoush was a little bit too sweet for me. the pita seemed like super market pita rather than "house made" or fresh. But, the humus was good and i liked the marinated fennel! *Souvlaki Couscous Bowl (za'tar spiced couscous, fresh cucumbers, marinated artichoke, Kalamata olives, spiced chickpeas, feta cheese, tzatziki, tahini dressing) - we added the lamb kofta which made this tiny bowl $30! But, it was fine to share for us that day. The flavors were really good and the lamb wasn't gamey at all but it was just super pricey.

Yelp
Dining at the Mythos was a wonderful experience. This unique Greek Restaurant was the perfect place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the parks and enjoy some family time. Our small group waited less than twenty-five minutes to be seated and once inside, we were impressed with the overall atmosphere. The ambiance was so calming, really it was breathtaking. Our waitress Madison was amazing! She was an absolute sweetheart. A hilarious young lady that made my family & I feel right at home. She provided excellent service and her bright personality was one of the highlights of our vacation. To top it off, the food was so good. We ordered The Lamb Burger, Sea Scallop & Sweet Corn Risotto and the Summer Pesto Ravioli. Everything was well-seasoned. For dessert, we ordered the Cinnamon Bread Pudding & Vanilla Bean Creme Brulee- both were good but the Creme Brulee was outstanding. There were no leftovers because everything was delicious. Even though we were stuffed by the end of the night, we left highly satisfied. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Island of Adventure. We would love to return in the future.

Yelp
Is this the best Universal Restaurant not at EPIC Universe? Yes! Can this restaurant compete with higher end Disney restaurants? No way! I have no idea how Mythos is a 10 time winner of #1 theme park restaurant in the world when Disney easily has 10 better ones. Maybe Disney is excluded in the rankings? I started with a $17 Immortal Old Fashioned. It was decent. However, any Old Fashioned that isn't served as 1 giant ice cube can't be ranked above a 6/10. For an appetizer I had the $14 Lemon Hummus. Now this was freaking awesome. I'd totally come back here just for this. It was spot on and super delicious 9/10. Up next was the $17 wedge. Disappointing. Kind of plain and boring 4/10. For the main course I had the $24 Mythos Signature Lamb Burger. This was also really really good. I'd rate a legit 8.5/10. Tons of flavor and I was super hungry. I made a reservation online. This place is super busy and lots of people try to eat here. Considering the other options, this is by far away the best spot.

Yelp
We've passed this restaurant a couple of times whenever my family has gone to Islands of Adventure and wondered if it was any good. It has a banner on the front that claims it won an award for best theme park dining ten times. I walked up and asked if there was a same day reservation. It was fortunate that there was a 4:15 available. Walk-ups are possible but you will wait of course. Reservations are strongly recommended. We were seated a little before our reservation and did have to wait a little for the waitress to come by. She was very friendly and apologetic - I'm guessing they were short staffed as the restaurant was busy with people and not enough waitstaff. Dad ordered the salmon and thought was good but not the best salmon he's ever had. I tried the brick chicken, which had good flavor, but I learned that the herbs didn't sit well with me later. The restaurant is nice and the service was fairly good - not the fastest but again, I sense they were very short staffed on a super busy weekend. Food was not bad, but I would try something else in the future. I feel it is a little pricey for what they give you portion-wise. While it was a good experience, I would be hard pressed to rank this as the best theme park dining.

Yelp
This is the highest recommended eatery in the park. You have to get a reservation or you will not get a seat. Our planner actually booked us here long before we ever came. The inside is ultra cool. It looks like it is carved out of a cavern or something. It stays packed so again be sure you book a time long before you come here. The food was interesting, expensive, but some things were fantastic and others were ok. It was an experience that I'm glad we all did, but honestly... for the price I would not do it again. The ambiance is awesome, our server was fantastic, and the food was good. Experience had.

Yelp
I'm not too sure about #1 theme park restaurant... I got the grilled cheese with tomato soup, spanakopita dip, and the mango lassi. The spanakopita dip was just spinach dip and pita bread. The presentation wasn't pleasant to look at either. Mango lassi did not taste like the mango lassi's I am used to. The grilled cheese with tomato soup was mid at best. I liked the presentation but I wish the grilled cheese was served separately since half of my sandwich was soaked with tomato soup. Service was not as informative, but nonetheless friendly. I definitely like the ambiance of the Greek style restaurant. I would come back for ease of convenience.

Yelp
This theme park dining experience will knock your socks off!! Talk about awesome food. Had someone told me I was going to have scallops and octopus while I watched a rollercoaster out the window I would have never believed them. As expected with universal properties the service was outstanding. Very patient waiter who knew that menu front to back. I don't know that I will ever find another in park restaurant this good. It's even better than most places in City Walk or Disney Springs for dining. A must check out!!
google avatar

Yelp
Minus my chicken souvlaki being dried out and the portions being too small, I really liked this place. The inside is really cool and unique, our server was really nice too! The lamb meatballs served with polenta and red sauce was surprisingly delicious because I am not a lamb fan. The mezza platter was also really good! I loved the mango lassi (which is a Indian style yogurt smoothie type thing). I would recommend ordering that.

Yelp
What savior Mythos has been to me and many others on a long day at the park. Everyone who goes to an amusement park for the majority of the day almost always needs a break, and this place provides a calming, peaceful atmosphere that almost any needs in the hustle and bustle of the park. I will say if you plan on going, you won't always be able to be seated right when you get there, so I recommend making a reservation or planning ahead by stopping to see wait times. Trust me, it will be worth it. The sign outside that says it is the number one amusement park restaurant, and I could get behind that. With its Greek style and architecture, it is an immediate oasis that over looks the lake and you can see almost every section of the park (besides Harry Potter). Not to mention the air conditioning feeling amazing after walking around in the blazing sun of Universal. Various times have I come with bigger parties or friends and used this is a half way point for the day. It was a great idea the first time and has stayed at a savior place. No matter where you sit, you have great service, nice views, and spectacular food. Some of my favorites have been the spanakopita dip, the salmon, the crusted calamari, and lamb burger (trust me, I have been a lot). Each time I go, we all share appetizers with the table and none of disappointed, as well as the meals! Everything is cooked to perfection and comes out hot and fresh. I will say that you wait a little longer here in comparison to other places in the park, but it is well worth the wait. Not to mention the portion sizes are pretty big too, so it will help anyone needing substantial amounts of food after the heat, walking, and rides. I have had a couple of drinks here, but my favorite has been the margarita. It comes in a huge glass and it does not mean a lack of alcohol, so prepare yourself! Overall, this is one the better restaurants I have been to in Orlando as well as Greek restaurants-- now make it in an amusement park, it is a must try spot.

Yelp
Seating is based on first available unless you specify wanting to sit inside. There are three tables outside in the back on a small patio that robs you from the Mythos experience. You're just looking at random parts of the park. Anywho, the food is delicious and cocktails are amazing. I recommend the bread pudding. So decadent and not too sweet.
google avatar

Jesika K.

Yelp
We had a great time during our lunchtime visit. We started with the octopus and lamb flatbread, both had lots of flavor but man was that octopus so tender! For lunch I had the scallop risotto and it was really good. The view from the restaurant is really good and our server was really good. It was a nice relaxing lunch away from the hustle and bustle of the park.
google avatar

Yelp
I was impressed by the decor, service and food at Mythos. We had not had the opportunity to eat here until recently and glad we were able to get reservations. We started off with the spanakopita dip and it was a hug hit with our table. We scraped out the bowl to get all the dip! One of the kids did the Mediterranean lamb flatbread for her entree and the other did the Greek salad. Both really liked their items. The pizza was hot and had lots of flavor with the lamb cooked perfectly. The salad was large and the dressing was very flavorful. I went with the lamb burger. It was so flavorful and delicious. It was also very large so I opted to cut it up and not eat the bread to be able to enjoy it all. The service was great and we were not in a rush so they allowed us to sit and enjoy our meal. You could get in and out faster if you wanted to enjoy the park more.
google avatar

Roger M.

Yelp
A really good theme park restaurant and definitely a treat after hours at Harry Potter. The service is outstanding and the view over the lagoon is great. The lamb is clearly the thing to get here. We had the meatballs that were top notch. And the lamb burger was outstanding. I ordered the Corvina fish special that was a bit too dry. So stick with the lamb.

Lucy C.

Yelp
Mythos was a truly unique dining experience. We loved the cave-like environment. Sitting by the windows gave us a beautiful view, adding to the atmosphere. Javier was great, so nice, attentive, and the food was very prompt. The food was flavorful and tasty: Lamb meatballs, pork chop, and skewers. Highly recommend for a memorable meal and a break from the hustle of the park.
google avatar

Rose L.

Yelp
Came here due to rave reviews and the BIG sign that said best theme park food ever. The calamari was delicious, perfectly flaky and tender and the sauce was great too. The lamb burger was okay but the fries were great. The total for the two came out to be $40 which was a tad expensive but understandable. Otherwise, the service was fast albeit a bit scripted.

Yelp
This restaurant is amazing! First off. Walking in... wow. The design of it and the Amount of detail is astounding. Such a beautiful place to eat. We only waited about 10 mins before we got seated. Our server was amazing. Very friendly guy. I wish I would have gotten his name but he wears glasses. And he was great! I ordered the balsamic chicken sandwich was actually the best chicken sandwich I think I have had. And just husband ordered the steak medallions! We both enjoyed our food. Everything was great and the bill was very decently priced as well! I recommend!

Lance S.

Yelp
The main course and appetizers were great, and the restaurant's physically beautiful, but guests are packed-in to the brim, making the resonance chamber space feel like nothing more than a loud cafeteria -- which it essentially is. Mythos is priced similar to a Manhattan restaurant, but isn't that great. When at Universal, just stick to the regular counter service places.
google avatar

Carolyn J.

Yelp
We still adore Mythos and go whenever we're at the parks. This time I got seasonal fish (grouper! yum) which came with roasted fingerling potatoes, black lentils, roasted radish, salsa verde, arugula tomato salad. Absolutely delicious. I also got a latte as I needed energy, haha and also got it to go, bad sadly they didn't have non dairy milk to add except oat milk, which I passed on and just got dairy. For dessert we got the seasonal butternut squash creme brûlée - absolutely fabulous!! Karina was our server and she was good. We will continue to return when we're at Islands of Adventure.
google avatar

Irina D.

Yelp
This place exceeded all expectations I had! I know it is ranked high, but it is outstanding quality. I do compare restaurant food with my own cooking (average skill), and i would definitely go back! Everything we ordered on a rainy day at Mytos, was absolutely delicious. Interior is beautiful, everything is Mediterranean/Greek themed. Overall, incredible experience! Service was great and fast too! My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not the stars reflect that.
google avatar

Francisco R.

Yelp
The best themed restaurant in Universal and one of the best ones I've ever been in. Definitely understand the hype and the accolades. The food is delicious, the service is pleasant, and the theming is top notch. The appetizer we had was lackluster and the fries we got with our meal were stale (we were the last ones in the for the day but should still be fresh at a restaurant of this caliber). The food is definitely on the pricier side since you are paying for quality. I must say the best lamb I've ever had and the best crème brûlée I've ever had! A must do for any Universal enthusiasts.
google avatar

Nicole C.

Yelp
I have to say this restaurant was DELICIOUS. It was so welcomed considering we really didn't have any good meals in Universal during g our 5 day stay. This restaurant had impeccable service and food. Everything that came out was scrumptious and fresh. If you are looking for a great meal in Universal, this is a must do.
google avatar

Elnara S.

Yelp
I can't recall our servers name at the moment, i think it was Eric, and he was definitely one of the best part of the entire experience here. The other was the ambiance! It's cool as hell in there with lots to feast your eyes on. Upon seeing that it's won best theme park restaurant for 10 years -- I admit, expectations ran high for the food. I ordered their halibut special and received an underwhelming dish with lack of balance in flavors, oversalted, and overcooked. The pesto was super sweet, fish was super salty, some potatoes were cooked and others were under. I needed to take my meds, which I take only after at least 30mg of protein in my system -- and ate the damn fish anyway so I was down to pay. We hadn't hit up a single ride since we rode in and it was past 11am, so when Eric offered it to be remade I explained that my brother was ready to get to the rides and judging from the time it took on the dish, that we had to get on with the day. I also encouraged him to give a heads up to the kitchen staff on quality control. I think people generally don't put thought into food in my dining experiences here, and I'd love to see that change in dining spaces with awareness to taste testing, proper training, etc. Eric handled the whole thing like a boss. I admired the way he handled a situation totally outta his control and tipped respectfully for it. That man can come work at any spot I manage any day!
google avatar

Deanna L.

Yelp
This restaurant has such a cool atmosphere and really looks like you're inside a cave. The customer service was good. The chicken I ordered was delicious and a great portion size. The calamari was tasty also. The lamb loin seemed a bit small and wasn't flavorful.
google avatar

Julie S.

Yelp
Visiting from San Jose- my husband read that Mythos is the best theme park restaurant. We had to give it a try and it was amazing from the ambiance, to the super friendly staff, to the delicious food. The pork chop was so so juicy, the salmon tender with crispy skin. We almost went back the next day.
google avatar

Stephanie T.

Yelp
We needed a break from the casual fast food of the parks so we dined in and wow, first impression of the place was how beautiful it is. Between the two of us, we shared a Mediterranean dip dish with pita chips and a lamb burger. First time having a lamb burger for both of us. Our wait staff was sweet and very friendly! I'd recommend this place to others when they're at the park.
google avatar

Alex D.

Yelp
2nd time we come here, food is great, service not bad but a bit disorganized, our server (Jordan) was fantastic but he was swamped with many large tables. The restaurant is definitely one of the best of any theme park. The food tastes authentic with amazing flavors. The restaurant is huge and very well themed in Greek mythology. The chairs are super heavy so kids and not-so-strong adults may need a hand sliding them out; and they are not very comfortable . If you get a booth, then you don't have to worry about that. Trust me, make a reservation next time you go to Islands
google avatar

Jmy M.

Yelp
Very good, for Orlando/parks. The food was very good, service from Vicktor was excellent. Ambiance okay but......amusement park so can't be that great. One of the better options at Universal.
google avatar

Margaret T.

Yelp
You definitely pay for the atmosphere and experience of eating in this restaurant. It is very cool inside, almost like eating in a cave. We were lead to eat on the outside patio by electric candlelight. It was very romantic on with a view of the water and colorful lights of the rollercoaster in the background. I was glad we were outside because it was like a freezer inside the restaurant. The food was tasty (maybe 4 stars), although my dish was served room temperature instead of hot. However, for the prices charged, I expected larger portions. My family of 3 paid $100 and walked away still hungry. If you want a memorable dining experience but not necessarily a full tummy, this is the place for you.
google avatar

Roger Renzo R.

Yelp
I was very excited about this place. However, it was just fine. The restaurant by itself is amazing. The decorations, the theme, and everything looked really good. Also, the staff was very friendly all the time. I felt really good about it. Unfortunately, the chair that I had was very uncomfortable. It felt like I was sitting on a rock or worst. About the food. It was just ok. I tried the Semolina Crusted Calamari, which was fine. They didn't have a lot of flavor, but the sauce really helped the plate to taste better. Also, the Brick Oven Roasted Chicken was my favorite of the day. Really juice and well seasoned chicken. Unfortunately, the Lamb Loin was not good. I could find any flavor, the meat was not tender, and without the chimichurri, all the plate lacks flavor.
google avatar

Marni M.

Yelp
My friend and I shared their Fork, spoon and knife grilled cheese as well as the Calamari which came out in under 10 minutes soon after they opened on a Friday morning. Virgin strawberry daiquiri was sweet and cold. Calamari was well seasoned and fried crispy served over a layer of aioli. The grilled cheese had thin potato chips with grated Parmesan on top. The tomato "soup" was more of a cross between traditional chunky soup and a marinara sauce. If the sandwich wasn't sitting in the soup, it would have been a solid grilled cheese but instead, the whole bottom layer was soggy and wet. It may have been ready before the calamari as it was quickly cooling down by the time we started eating it. Overall, the food had potential but was not great. Our waiter was friendly and the theme of the restaurant was great. But not sure I'm too interested in the rest of their menu to return.
google avatar

Jonathan B.

Yelp
Really bummed. My wife made reservations for our teenage daughters and ourselves while we were staying at Universal Studios.. I had the scallops with risotto. To their credit the scallops were cooked. Otherwise inedible. A pool of oil. There is no exaggerating that there was more oil than risotto on my dish. The chicken my wife and daughters had were almost as bad. Dry chicken and again sitting in a pool of oil. Fried chicken tenders anywhere else in the park would be a far better choice

Yelp
As we walked through Universal, my family and I saw a big sign that read "Voted Best Theme Park Restaurant." As a family with three Yelp Elite members, we felt like we needed to be the judge of that. We went for an early dinner (5PM) on a Monday after going on lots of rides early on in the day. We put our name on the wait list. We were quoted 15 minutes but were seated in about 5 minutes. The interior is breathtaking. It felt like you were inside of a cave. There were beautiful fountains throughout the restaurant as well. Our server was quick and knowledgeable about the menu. We started off with a hummus and pita appetizer which was excellent. Although, the pita bread to hummus ratio was a little off. So a piece of advice would be to load up each dip of the pita with the hummus or else you are going to end up with leftover hummus with no pita to spread it on. My main dish was a brick oven roasted chicken. The portion size was massive so we definitely did not leave hungry. The chicken was tender and seasoned well. The fingerling potatoes and vegetables were a nice complement to the dish. Overall definitely would recommend Mythos to others.
google avatar

Amy U.

Yelp
Talk about a beautiful restaurant. I remember the food being very good but didn't even remember to take photos as I was too busy admiring the restaurant itself. Hands down my favorite place to eat at Universal.
google avatar

Angie J.

Yelp
Great theming, service and great food. Had the Spanakopita Dip, a Pork Chop dish and a Pina Colada, which were all amazing. One of the best meals I had all week while in Orlando. This place really lived up to the hype.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
After having Mythos on my bucket list for several years and never being able to make it happen for one reason or another, the lovely Spensyr surprised me with an impromptu lunch on a recent visit to the parks. Sadly, it did not live up to the hype I'd generated in my head... The first thing you notice upon entering is the noise. Concrete floors, high ceilings, and walls shaped and textured to look like ancient stone only seem to amplify the dining a busy restaurant, which at times becomes almost unbearable. There is no way to have anything remotely resembling a quiet conversation here. The second thing you'll notice is those aforementioned walls and ceilings. Billing itself as the 'Grotto of the Gods' the interior of the restaurant looks as if it is just that, a continuation of the cliffs and carved rocky faces outside. Service is plentiful and polite without seeming overly familiar or friendly, but definitely seemed scripted and formulaic as I overheard 3 servers telling people that the pork chop was "absolutely my favorite thing on the menu". So... I got it... - So here's the thing... Being voted best theme park restaurant means a little less when you realize it's a local award, given by a local online blog. It's the equivalent of getting best decorated house on the east side of the a particular cul de sac in a gated community. The food was okay, but not worth the price, and definitely not worth the hype. Mythos has a pretty cool menu, an eclectic mix of tastes from around the globe, so we started with the calamari, and while I did go with the previously discussed pork chop, the lovely Spensyr went with the couscous bowl and a beef kebab. Calamari came out only slightly overdone, a little chewy but definitely not rubbery. The only weird thing was the breading, a crispy shell that did not adhere to the calamari, but broke off when you tried to use a fork. Spen's couscous was good, lots of fresh veg, but the beef was overdone. My pork looked great! Nestled on top of potatoes and carrots. But the many tastes it offered (and part of why I ordered it) clashed rather than work together. A sweet demi-glacé, a salty crust on the pork, and he wonderful funk of blue cheese on top. 3 things I love but they did not work well in this combo. Also the pork was slightly overdone (I get it, tourists), while the potatoes and carrots were just undercooked to the point where that yummy snap became an unnecessary chew. We did not get dessert.

Yelp
This is an excellent venue for work dinners or dates. The service was truly exceptional, the best I've ever experienced. The fried eggplant was perfect, boasting a great texture. While the dips were enjoyable, they didn't stand out. The lobster pasta was perfectly cooked, featuring some of the freshest and best lobster I've had in the U.S. recently. The grilled veggies were rather bland and unremarkable. Unfortunately, the baklava was disappointing, being stale and flavorless, making it one of the worst dishes I've ever tasted. Overall great experience thanks to our server's knowledge and attention to details. She was a woman from Bulgaria, her service was the true definition of hospitality and customer service, which is why I gave it 5 stars

Yelp
The atmosphere here is so cool!!!! The entire restaurant is like this big cave. They went all out on the decor. Service was timely and friendly. I would recommend getting a reservation the day before online. WOW. The spin dip was so flavorful with a really nice texture. The hummus was good. My raviolis were so delicious!!!! They were a little light but I snacked on other folks meals at the table . The table favorite was the couscous bowls. Lots of fresh toppings and so yummy! If you're not an olive person tell your server. They sneak them into a lot of things. The french fries were so disappointing. Especially next to a phenomenal menu. They were bland basic fries. Not even a fun seasoning. AVOID THE FRIES.

Yelp
So we have been trying to get a reservation for this restaurant every time we are at the park. This place didn't check all the boxes for us but the food didn't disappoint. We were seated rather quick and the ambiance was just ok and fast paced for our liking. The dishes we selected were delicious and flavorful. The charred octopus had to be my favorite. It was robust in flavor with the octopus being charred to perfection.

Yelp
Mythos is a huge restaurant, nautically themed, inside Universal Studios Islands of Adventure. The atmosphere is fun, it overlooks the water and a few attractions of the park. It mostly offers Mediterranean dishes which look delicious on the menu and on the table, but were certainly lacking to the taste. We tried the lemon hummus, chicken sandwich, pad Thai, Chef's Signature Greek salad and Souvlaki Couscous Bowl. The salad had potential but I was surprised with the type of lettuce used, romaine/iceberg?? Also that it was so finely chopped (considering it was a Mediterranean salad rather than a chopped salad) I was expecting more full leafy greens, it would change the quality of the dish so much. The Pad Thai was sweeter than one would expect. Overall, I was underwhelmed with the quality of food here and would opt to try another place if visiting again.

Yelp
I think when it comes to theme park dining, you really have to expect less quality food. Mythos is no exception. However, what it may lack in quality it makes up for in ambiance. This place is like entering the lost city of Atlantis or maybe the little mermaid (okay, wrong park). The ambiance is incredibly fun and a welcomed surprise. The service as excellent and our waiter was very helpful with recommendations. But, the food is just okay. We started with the calamari which is fried well but heavily doused in sauce. It isn't too bad, but it's heavy. The hamburger was fine, something you'd get from a regular old diner. The salad was probably the best part. It was fresh and tasty. As far as theme park restaurants go, this is probably one of the best although again take that grain of salt.

Yelp
Like most sit down theme park restaurants with a reservation the restaurant is a cut above most options. The interior is great-comfortable, nicely decorated and unfortunately loud. Our server was mostly great but had a time closing the deal at the end-taking about 10 minutes to bring the check and run the card. My main problem is with the menu. While I love Greek food this is Greek inspired. If you, like I, love the TASTE of feta but your digestive system doesn't than 1/3 of the menu is out for you. The rest was unappealing on paper. But the delivered goods were great. The pork chop is huge, the beef medallions delicious, calamari perfectly cooked. Son like the butternut squash but I wouldn't touch it. Also like most sit downs at amusement parks the prices are high but comparatively what you should expect ($50 per person).

Yelp
This was one of my favorite restaurants we stopped by at the parks. We loved the atmosphere, the staff, the food, and the drinks. It was a last minute stop to get out of the rain and I am so glad we did. It was WONDERFUL. Will definitely be back next time we are at the parks!

Yelp
The look and ambiance of this restaurant is unbeatable - seriously one of the most stunning and inventive places in the world to dine. The house cocktails are well thought out and on-theme, and can be easily adjusted to make them less sweet or swap out one liquor for another. I got the Mediterranean Mule because I love Grappa but substituted the ginger beer for sparkling water because I knew the ginger beer would be too sweet for me. My change made the drink delicious to me, though no one else agreed. I've been fortunate to dine at Mythos several times over the years and it was my favorite sit down dining option at Universal, however ... this time, I was super disappointed in what was one of my favorite restaurant meals - let alone theme park meals - the Pad Thai prepared vegan, with crispy tofu and vegan peanut sauce. The portion remains fair and huge, but the new peanut sauce they've introduced is really lackluster and is far more of a thin sweet and sour than thick and savory, heavenly peanut sauce. My partner and I were very disappointed in our usual favorite. The Mezze Platter is a solid appetizer and was enough for our party of five, but the presentation of the app could definitely be better by plating it on a smaller dish - as of now, the portion swims around on a rectangular plate that makes it look underwhelming and poorly portioned. It also needs to come with utensils for serving. It doesn't come with utensils! In a big group, it's very hard for everyone to use their own personal forks over and over again. Again, this is one of the coolest restaurants you can ever dine in. The views are spectacular no matter where you sit and I absolutely LOVE the theme. But I am absolutely heartbroken that my precious Pad Thai sauce was such a departure. I hope management switches the sauce back! Or maybe they were having an off day and I'll get my coveted peanut sauce back next time.

Yelp
The fist impression was , wow this place is really busy. ( in a good way of course) Recommended to make reservations. I believe it's by reservation only. Staff friendly and super attentive. Ambiance feels Like a 5 star restaurant in inside a Atlantis like cave. Kinda feels like what it would be to eat at a restaurant in Bedrock. The food was phenomenal So far so good at island of adventure!

Yelp
Celebrating a friend and so made reservations here at Mythos- thank god we did! (pun for mythic-ness) Food: -the appetizer was GOOD! It was cheezy, the bread/chip was warm. Just... GOOD -Burger and fries: it was a good buy!! I was going back and forth between some, but I was glad with my order. There were a lot of fries on the side too which this fry gal was very glad for, heh! -Gnocchi: my partner ordered this and though it looked not that big to me, said it was pretty filling AND shared some with me so I think I just have an 'american view of food' sigh haha but it was tasty! I'm not particular to gnocchi but still! It was good Ambiance: -it was SOOOO cold (A/C) and that was an incredible thanks by us especially in the hot heat of Universal! It was really busy and bustling inside, but it's really well decorated and on theme and so when seated, was pretty awesome! Service: -amaziiing. Very friendly and funny and suggested great items! It was also a celebration, and they were great about it and festive so that was awesome! Overall: -If back in Universal, will definitely come back for reservations! :)

Yelp
Went this past weekend and tried their new "lounge" area at the front of the restaurant (it's not really an ideal place though). While it's great that they offer pretty decent drinks we had hoped to be able to get small bites as well. Not the case though. We had tried potion of the gods and really liked it! It's an interesting concept and I'm sure many people will like the ease of getting drinks without having to have a close to hour wait to dine.

Yelp
Food and service was good. Great ambience. The spinach artichoke appetizer with pita bread was soooo....good! Calamari was delicious too! I had a mozzarella hamburger with fries. My son had salmon entree and loved it. Every was great except the air conditioning was way too cold for me :)

Yelp
I really really liked this place. They had so many healthy options as well. We had the hummus and lamb meatballs. Everything was really good. The service was perfect and the ambiance was super cute. They have indoor and outdoor options. I would love to try the outdoor seating next time. Defy recommend making reservations as it's inside the park and you may not be able to get in otherwise. Highly recommended.
