Google
A little better quality meat and this place is ideal. Excellent atmosphere and authentic nostalgic destination since this place began in 1966. Those of us who were around then will recognize the style.

Google
Great choice for a no frills but solid, tasty, and well made burger. The onion rings were freshly made and crispy, however the batter lacked seasoning even salt. The sweet tea hit the spot and they have the small nugget/pebble ice too. Drive through was relatively quick despite the order being made fresh. I will definitely try them next time I'm in the area. Menu photos and prices are from July 2025

Google
Breakfast tacos made fresh when you order (ie. your breakfast taco's scrambled eggs are cooked at the time you order). Who can beat that? Price is for 2 item breakfast taco. You get to pick what you want on your breakfast taco, additional items are extra. They do not skimp on the insides. Pictured is the egg, pan sauasge and cheese.

I accidentally forgot to request Mayo on my burger instead of mustard and when I kindly asked the gentleman Infront if I can switch it out he then told the cook. The cook rudely spoke out loud “How Do You Forget” . I’ve never experienced this with you guys and I was really excited to eat here for not being able to in awhile . I left immediately. We’re humans and people make mistakes. I was very kind from the moment I walked into this place b/c it’s my absolute favorite. I don’t think I’ll be going back for awhile. That cook was really rude and didn’t trust him making my food after the incident.

Google
Great burger at a very affordable price. The only complaint was that the burger was a little dry. The fried pickles were pretty good but had too much breading. They had a nice spicy kick though from something in the batter. Everything that I saw looked good as well. The staff was incredibly friendly and worked quick to get out my order.

Google
Phenomenal undercover burger joint! It looks like a diner from the outside but they have some fantastic burger and got dogs you need to check out. They have seating outside and limited seating inside. What I found to be cool and random was they way they call out orders. They give you a playing card and you just wait for them to call it out! Something different. The burgers are served on wheat buns and so delicious! The Buffalo burger and grilled chicken were fantastic! If you have pets and want to enjoy a seat outside and a great burger this is a solid place to stop in.

Google
Leaving 5 stars because the owner is awesome. However the burger Pattys should be switched up. I’ve eaten here 3 times now and the burgers are very dry and look like they’ve been frozen a long time. Tots, Corn dog, hot dogs are all soooo good. Shakes and malts are amazing as well. Great neighborhood diner with a lot of potential. Prices are really good. Service was great, everyone was really nice.

Sabrina Garcia

Google
Sadly… The food is not what it used to be. I would go back for nostalgia sake. Chocolate shake was 10 out of 10!! Service was a little dry but friendly.

Yelp
Authentic Houston dive diner that has evolved some unique dishes Open since 1967, the " happy days" era burger joint has evolved its own cuisine: Avocado Burgers, Chili Burritos covered with chili and cheese, fried pickles, steak baskets, etc. When you order you get a playing card, and you pay when the card is called. It is unique. I liked it. From another time.

Yelp
My visit last week has caused me to show some love to Mytiburger and raise my score from 4 years ago by another star. At the counter I ordered a Mytiburger, onion rings and drink combo for $9.69 and added an ice cream dessert with chocolate syrup and almonds for $1.69 more. I was given a playing card, the Ace if Spades, to identify my order. The burger and rings took about 10 minutes to come out and when it did I surrendered my card. I thought the burger was very good taste wise. It was solid in weight and dressed except for the onions I had them hold. The onion rings were plentiful in the bag and hot. I enjoyed them as I did the burger and it was a filling meal. I asked for the dessert after finishing. It was served in a tall styrofoam cup with a lot of soft serve vanilla ice cream (they were out of other flavors). The chocolate syrup and the sliced almonds went well together with the ice cream and made for a nice finish. I would have liked more chocolate syrup with that much ice cream but at $1.69 it was a deal. I like Mytiburger. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. It is a true "local" burger joint that Houston should support. I must get by here more often.

Yelp
Stopped by Mytiburger after a round of disc golf to make sure we are doing our part to keep local owned Houston restaurants afloat. We brought friends who aren't from the area as well and ranted and raved but unfortunately, our compliments came to bite us in the butt. All in all, there was nothing spectacular, it was a regular burger undercooked fries and a long wait time even though there were only 2 other parties in the restaurant. Our friend who is a new houstonian ordered her food at the same time as us got her food after we had already finished eating. Mytiburger has the recipe and ambiance to be a great burger shop, however they need a better system to ensure quality and timely deliveries for food. Also good to note, they are cash only as listed on the door.

Yelp
We've been coming here for years and they guys absolutely serve a great burger and fries. Nothing fancy to anything they do but they still have great food at a great price. you can't beat that anywhere nowadays!!
google avatar

Lester L.

Yelp
I had high expectations for this GOOF staple, and I was kinda let down. I was expecting old school greasy flavorful diner burger. What I got was an unseasoned patty and non salty fries. There's is a certain vibe that makes this place charming, but alas don't be fooled. I really wanted to like this place and after living in the area for over 10 years, I walked away disappointed.
google avatar

Gasper M.

Yelp
Fantastic food and great service! Ordered ahead and order was ready when I got there and was still hot.
google avatar

Tracy M.

Yelp
Great diner to stop by! They are quick and everything is made to order. Very reasonable pricing also. The diner is pretty small so more of a take out place but definitely will put in my rotation if I want a less pricey burger that is above fast food scale!
google avatar

Carolyn G.

Yelp
Ahhhhhhh! It's been awhile but the burgers and fries are just as awesome as I remember. Due to recent posts the wait times are longer but your burger and fries are still delivered to you hot and that's worth the wait!
google avatar

Aaron M.

Yelp
This place has the best made to order burger anywhere in Houston! Come if you're looking to be satisfied!

Yelp
I wanted this to be good, I really did. The place has been around a long time, and the building looks like it. The seating is cramped and watch out for the door closer if you're over 6 foot tall (humble brag). The burger was decent, especially for the price, but the fries were bad. The fries are basically the frozen fries you buy from H‑E‑B and heat up in your oven. I didn't know until I went here that I was a fry snob, but I am, and therefore I can't give better than 2 stars. Good luck to the owners and employees, I hope they can keep the doors open.

Yelp
the staff here were nice. the burger was kinda bland imo. hit the spot but nothing crazy.
google avatar

Colton M.

Yelp
Great burgers without all the fancy bells and whistles kids want these days. This is the place to go for a "Royale w/ cheese". Highly recommend trying it out.
google avatar

Brian H.

Yelp
Very cheap but the quality isn't great. You get what you pay for. I ordered a patty melt but they didn't add cheese and it fell apart immediately.

Jeremy L.

Yelp
Meh is how I would describe the experience. Hot dog - bun was over cooked, almost crunchy Fries - no salt whatsoever Tater tots - over cooked, too crunchy, almost burnt Burger - I asked for Mayo to be added but I could not locate the mustard that came with it or the Mayo. All of the above issues seem to just be carelessness which was disappointing given their call for support. Can't say I'll be back soon

Yelp
Groupon has presented another winner. I see why people keep mentioning the costumer service. You really don't get better service than this. When you envision service with a smile, that's this place. They literally took my order, in the rain, without hesitation and without complaint. There was a constant flow of customers the entire time I was there. There are a few places you can sit around the building if you like dining in place. Parking is ample enough for at least 20 vehicles at a time. The menu is home style flair. It's a simple menu to decide upon if you want traditional American food. The have fried pies in a variety of flavors, so you know this is a good place to get fat. I already feel wordy, so let me give you an eating synopsis: The banana shake is phenomenal. Smooth texture and consistency the entire slurping. The burgers does not taste like a mass manufactured mouthful. They take their time making and cooking your items. The service was quick and the food was hot. The burger had fresh ingredients. The sides are worth experimenting with due to price and portion size. The fried pickles were not disk of grease and slime. They know what they are doing in the kitchen. The apple pie was disappointing because it lacked filling and lacked a cinnamon taste of any sort. Overall, everything was fresh. I'm definitely visiting this place again. The prices does not bother my frugal meter at all. Next time I'm trying the house cut chili cheese fries. If you are not a fan of fresh taste and ingredients, then skip this place and go to a fast food joint. $20 can go a long way at this place.

Yelp
Mytiburger is an institution in the neighborhood of Oak Forest. The food is hot, fresh and reasonably priced. That's hard to find these days. They have such a variety besides their burgers including corn dogs, veggie/Turkey burgers, fried pickles, malts and shakes. After being on the news, their wait time is longer than normal. Be patient and enjoy your meal!
google avatar

Laura R.

Yelp
A neighborhood staple. Delicious burgers, old timey feel. Great place to go to grab some dinner and enjoy a non frills, wholesome establishment.

Sara E.

Yelp
They get two stars because the onion rings are homemade and excellent. I have tried burgers three times and they were disappointing. The meat is way too thin and they did not get the toppings correct on any of the sandwiches. Also, the put the toppings on the bottom bun which gets soggy vs the thicker top bun. I have no idea why. We used to come here as a family when I was a girl and teenager. It was great back then. It is sad to see another small business go downhill. Maybe they could read the reviews and make some adjustments. Good luck, Mytiburger !!
google avatar

Joe N.

Yelp
Came here after recent publicity to bring in business. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the hype. A one hour wait for a flavorless mediocre burger and the worst onion rings I've ever had. Most of them were inedible. Like biting into paper that you couldn't chew through. First time, last time.

Yelp
Great old fashioned drive up joint. Great burgers and fries ! Love the ability to get 4 Pattie's and jalapeños
google avatar

Tim J.

Yelp
If you want a healthy greaseless burger, this review isnt for your kind. As a fan of a greasy American beef burger. An admirer of drenched spotted wrappers, extra napkins and nothing under 3k calories. A connoisseur of contrasting textures of crunchy pickles, sweet dry onion and a saturated seasoned patty to make it special. None of that satisfaction was found here. Myti boring is what i would call the offering here. If they didnt have the beef sign all over, I would have guessed this was a meatless hipster special. Service was great, but this is a food review.

Timothy James R.

Yelp
Mytiburger is below average in taste! Chocolate shake is not very good ice cream ... otherwise called a shake ... threw it away!
google avatar

Heather M.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! Love the onion rings and shakes! Drive thru is convenient but I love going inside and stepping back in time.
google avatar

Yelp
The food is amazing Highly recommended!! And the service was awesome!! And the ambiance was calm and busy.

Yelp
Great family friendly place with indoor and out door eating! Burgers & shakes are delicious we like the sweet potato fries! Service is always friendly!!
google avatar

Steve L.

Yelp
Old school. Retro. Good food. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Has been at this location for many years.
google avatar

Eric C.

Yelp
The burgers were pretty good, the fries were flavorless, soggy and 0 seasoning. Staff was friendly.
google avatar

Candy C.

Yelp
I probably would not have even known about this place if it wasn't for the Groupon. Service was friendly. When we drove up we saw a person taking orders in the parking lot. So we started to wait then someone came out of the restaurant and told us to use the drive thru. I had Double meat Mytiburger (reminded me of old time burgers... ) and sweet potato fries (Which are MYTI GOOD! Very crispy and not burnt. ) I will be back...
google avatar

Albert M.

Yelp
I'm sorry but the food is awful, no favor at all! My first time there and it will be my last time. Need new management and new ideas. They cannot take an order correctly. I'm very disappointed about people trying to give them support for their business but its product they are trying to sale is bad. Sorry but it is what it is.

Samantha S.

Yelp
My husband and I have gotten dinner here multiple times because of the businesses outcry for customers and convenience to my neighborhood. I want to support this local spot, but each time we've been here the workers just seem miserable. Any time I've ordered at the counter and requested something like no tomato or add something onto the burger they act like it's an annoyance and inconvenience. The burgers are decent, but the fries are just sad. They're very clearly just whatever they could find cheap and in bulk from some store. No seasoning and never crisp. Onion rings have been overcooked to an almost burnt level each time we've ordered them as well. If the food and service was better here I'm sure they'd get more customers, but I have a feeling this is why they're struggling. Plus, you can get a better tasting burger and fries for the same price or less at other local spots.
google avatar

Linda V.

Yelp
Burger is just ok. I like the kitschy vibe. Their fries and frosty cones are good. But I wouldn't go back for a burger that's mid.

Royal C.

Yelp
I hate to say it, but it's not the same like it used to be a few years ago. Recently, this business made a post asking for help from the community so I decided to help out myself. The last two times I've been to this business. My order was made incorrectly and the burger just seem to have a plain flavor. This used to be a place I would always recommend to somebody who's never been there, but now I have not recommended this place to anyone's.
google avatar

Tex M.

Yelp
Great old School Burger joint keeping the neighborhood vibes flowing! I had the Bacon Cheeseburger combo and it was delicious! Will definitely be back to try out the rest of the Menu!

M C.

Yelp
One of the best in Houston for Burgers, onion rings, shakes! Steak finger basket great too!
google avatar

Rex C.

Yelp
I am very impressed with Mytiburger! Food: the meat is grilled to perfection. We got two bacon cheeseburgers and let me tell you, they are full of flavor. Tasted so good! I enjoyed every single bite! The onion rings were decent. The real winner was the tater tots. I liked those a lot more than the onion rings. Every single bite of that burger was tasty! This place has been serving up epic burgers for a long time! I am surprised this is is our first time trying them out. Definitely won't be my last time. Customer service: Charlene was extremely nice and very attentive! She brought out our food to our truck. She said she has worked their off and on for 15 years. Very nice lady. Do yourself a favor and give them a try! We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Stephen G.

Yelp
Made the mistake of trying this place again! My corn dog batter was raw in both corn dogs. While they offered to remake them, which I declined, they didn't offer to refund my money. This use to be a favorite of mine but I just can not continue to support them. I will miss my neighborhood burger joint! The onion rings are still as amazing as ever!
google avatar

Mel S.

Yelp
I've been seeing this place forever but every time I looked at the menu I never saw that they served turkey burgers so I always passed (don't eat beef or pork). I saw a deal on Groupon & thought what the hay I'll order chicken strips or something. Get their & their new menu has a turkey burger WOO HOO!!! Its on!!!! Meals Ordered: Turkey Burger - Fully dressed, lettuce & tomato were not super fresh, covid-19 issue probably. These burgers r not flame grilled or anything & the patties are very very thin but they work OK for a burger fix. I didn't taste a seasoning. I added fresh guac & BBQ sauce to my burger (at home) to make it work. Onion Rings - Perfection! Smooth battered, huge onions & portion, fried nice & crispy with a bit of sweetness to them. Ate every one! Also added 2 onto my turkey burger. Sweet Potato Fries - Superb! Crispy, sweet & piping hot! Large Chicken Strips - Fried very crispy, lots of coating/breading could have used less. Good taste, generous portions. Their prices are super cheap for the food & portions so its worth trying out this budget friendly local burger spot.

Yelp
I came here first just to try it out because it's close to home. The burger was good, the service was friendly and fast, and when another patron walked in the staff immediately knew her as a regular and got her order started without her even having to say anything - hallmark of a good local spot as far as I'm concerned. I came, I saw, I took a burger straight to the jaw and so far haven't been particularly compelled to return as I'm not an avid burger eater. But today I had a craving, and with today being the 3rd time that "America's Drive In" has had a completely malfunctioning app, rude employees, and incorrect orders I figured I'd go back to Mytiburger. I don't know why I was bothering with the drive in anyway. Happy hour I guess? Cherry Dr. Pepper? Not worth the hassle. Mytiburger has better food by a mile and the employees are super nice and easy to talk with while you're waiting/checking out. They have nugget ice too! Fries are on the thick side and perfectly cooked, chili on the chili cheese dog is well spiced albeit a little on the salty side... but let's face it, if you're ordering a chili cheese dog you prroooobably aren't keeping an eagle eye on your sodium intake. If you're not sure about trying it based on it looking a little run-down, don't let the appearance sway you. It's been around for a long time and there's a good reason for that, so give it a shot.

Yelp
Oh my this place is awful! If your going to sell burgers please at least give them some form of taste! This burger and onion rings taste like absolutely nothing. No flavor and no taste a Complete disgrace to a burger. Seriously shut the doors and go do something else....

Jordan O.

Yelp
Great local burger shop. Everything you need in a quick burger. Plenty of parking and quick service

Yelp
Ive never seen a burger made this poorly! I will never eat here again. The patty is 1/8 of an inch thick and much smaller than the diametro of the bun. After the ownersold the establishment, the new owners are trying to cut corners.

Nancy P.

Yelp
I went here for the first time and wasn't disappointed. The hamburger was great as well as the fries. A nice simple burger basket which is exactly what I want! Will definitely go back again!
google avatar

Lupe M.

Yelp
First time trying this place and I was not impressed. I picked up my food with drive thru. Placing my order was easy and the menu was clearly written out. The lady working the window was very friendly and asked how I was doing and chatted while waiting for my food to be done. Everything was looking good till I tried the food. Nothing was wrong with it, but nothing was special about it either. I picked the bacon cheese burger and there wasn't much bacon or much flavor. Some salt and pepper on the meat would go a long way. They were very generous with the mustard. Same with the fries, no salt or seasoning used. I'm guessing that's why the lady at the pick up window asked if I wanted salt and pepper packets. Maybe I'll try something else on the menu but not anytime soon.
google avatar

Patricia B.

Yelp
Consistently good food. Always friendly service. We've been coming here for years. A neighborhood treasure!
google avatar

Gauna G.

Yelp
Waited 23 min. In the drive thru and no one came to help me . After I had already ordered in that horrible speaker . They need to buy a new one . 4 guys inside and no one said may I help you . Had to leave ! can not remove that one stat

Mary B.

Yelp
Family owned, neighborhood favorite for years. Best burgers and onion rings to be had!

Celeste H.

Yelp
An Oak Forest original! Think whataburger, but better. Love the shakes!

Jason H.

Yelp
Great burgers, great onion rings, and great prices. What more could you ask for? The service is solid, even if they were a bit overwhelmed with the recent publicity. The vibe is really cool - there just aren't many places like this anymore. Definitely check it out.

Izabella C.

Yelp
so happy we got around to try Mytiburger! definitely worth the trip, food was delicious and the environment had houston's history displayed all around the walls. had an amazing experience, a hidden gem of houston for sure. will be back again soon :)
