Tart Review - Beverly Grove - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Tart is technically a hotel restaurant, but nobody remembers that because we’re all too busy getting day-hammered. Punch bowls, bottomless mimosas seven days a week, and half-off meals if you jump into the pool with your clothes on. Stay safe out there." - Brant Cox

Na Tart is located within the food court of Tangram mall, with a smaller booth in the back but very vibrant. The staff were friendly and able to explain each option to us, and we got our tarts nearly immediately after ordering. As for the food, it was alright, not the best. I must've been mistaken but I thought it would be different flavored egg tarts, but I couldn't really tell the difference between our assortments. The egg tart was fine, it's a Portuguese styled egg tart, and those tasted pretty standard. As for the other flavors, it didn't really scream egg tart, more like fillings placed within an egg tart shell. I get the appeal but it wasn't for me. Overall, it's a decent quality dessert, but has room for improvement.

We got a durian and a taro/salted egg. Both were good. I wanted cheese and corn but they were out. Will try other flavors next time.

Yummy egg tart, sweet and delicious. Iced latte was good too. However, their Square register seems to be charging sales tax at 9% instead of 8.775%. Got an extra penny off me and I don’t know how many others.

I finally tried the egg tart affogato at Na Tart. The staff at this location was helpful, even though they were busy packing up a lot of orders. I recommend using the kiosk next to the tarts to have a smoother check out process. The egg tart affogato was good, but I think I like eating the egg tart and affogato separately. For the price, you get two shots of espresso, a scoop of ice cream sprinkled with choco powder, a biscoff cookie, a chocolate wafer stick, and an egg custard. Next time, I'll order one of their other drinks and a couple of egg tarts on the side! My go to egg tarts are the original and ube!

We had a bit hard time to find this place because the kiosk didn’t say clearly where it is located. We eventually tried the food court area and that’s where we found this place. So, if you would like to go this place, just go straight to the food court on the 1st Level. We ordered two original & two ube tarts. Ube tart tasted really good, sweet but not too sweet, and ube and cream cheese blended well. The original tart was good but it would’ve be better if it was warmed up, so maybe that’s what you can consider when you order it.

I really think the original flavor is the best!! It's chrunchy and taste very good! Recommend that! Other than that, the rest flavor are just okay. I'm more obsessed on chrunchy egg tart but the rest flavor didn't achieve that. The staffs are very friendly and nice too. It's good experience of purchasing. Will come back if having chance

Located inside the new Tangram Mall food court is Na Tart which serves Portuguese-style egg tarts. I think what sets Na Tart apart from other bakeries that sells egg tarts is the variety of unusual flavors that they offer. Currently, they have seven sweet flavors (Classic, Purple Sweet Potato, Chocolate Bobo, Magnum Matcha, Mochi, Durian and Milky Mango) and two savory flavors (Salty Boy and Garlic Butter). As a new food stall, they still have some kinks to iron out. We visited around 1pm on a quiet Thursday and they were already almost out of inventory. I was told that it would be a forty-minute wait for new batch to finish baking. They were able to sell me the last three egg tarts which I quickly grabbed. I originally wanted to buy a dozen egg tarts for the family but that was not to be. When I opened the box, I found that they had given me the last three Purple Sweet Potato egg tarts. The tarts were smaller than I was expecting but exquisitely decorated. My first impression after the first bite was very positive. I loved the contrast of the extremely crunchy crust with the soft custardy filling. The filing was a mix of the classic Portuguese custard with chunks of soft purple sweet potato. The tarts are a bit pricey at almost four bucks each but honestly want to give them another try. The Purple Sweet Potato tarts were so good, and I cannot wait to try their other flavors. I think these would be really great desserts to bring to parties or as presents, that is if you are able to grab them before they run out.

Spectacular. The most delicious egg tart I have ever eaten. Shell is crisp and flaky, filling is a great silken texture, tart is served warm.
