Naan Hut Review - West LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Naan Hut is a casual, order-at-the-counter Persian restaurant in West LA. Its menu is filled with solid versions of staples like beef koobideh, creamy mast o moosir, and ghormeh gabzi stew, but the thing to prioritize here is bread. And in particular, the sangak and barbari bread. The sangak is light and perfectly chewy, and the barbari is the perfect thing to have around the kitchen all week for all of your dipping needs." - Brant Cox

We recently ordered food from this restaurant for one of our events, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. The dishes were high-quality, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. All of our guests truly enjoyed the food. It was a wonderful experience, and we’ll definitely order again!

Naan Hut is truly one of the best Persian restaurants in Los Angeles. The ingredients are always fresh, the prices are very reasonable considering the quality, and most importantly, the staff treat you like family with their warm hospitality. Today, I was pleasantly surprised with the Classic Persian Breakfast I ordered — everything was perfect, delicious, and reminded me of traditional breakfasts back in Iran. I truly appreciate your hospitality and excellent quality.

This was such a lovely spot! We stopped in for dinner just because we were walking by and the atmosphere looked welcoming. The service was very attentive and personable. It was just one staff member, but he was so kind and went above and beyond for us. The food was absolutely delicious and the bread was some of the best I've ever eaten. There were many vegetarian dishes as well. Highly recommend this spot for anyone passing through the area!

Google
The pricing here is ridicules, and the price does not reflect the amount of food served! We ordered the Omelet and they brought the bread minutes after serving it. I did not like the first bite and immediately stopped eating it. When checking out the concern was shared with the cashier, and the reaction was absolutely unbelievably rude!

Google
The food was so good! Generous portions. 4 platters fed a family of 6 very hungry foodies, we were stuffed. The platters can be easily shared among 2 people. I have the picture, but unfortunately, I do not remember the platter names. Chicken kabob and Beef shish kabob, probably. Both were 10/10 We also ordered the chicken salad with one of their specialty breads, it was so good! 10/10. Definitely visit them if you can!

As part of my weekend routine, I stopped by Naan Hut again — and was pleasantly surprised to see they’ve added an authentic Iranian Bandari sandwich to their menu! 🌶️🇮🇷

I honestly can’t believe how amazing the taste of the sangak bread and haleem was at Naan Hut in Los Angeles! It was hands down the best I’ve ever had in my life — even better than what I’ve tried back home in Iran.✨✨✨ I came all the way from Vancouver looking for a good breakfast spot, found this gem on Google, and I’m SO glad I did. From the quality of the food to the warm, welcoming people — everything was just perfect. If you’re in LA and craving a truly unforgettable Persian breakfast, you HAVE to try this place. I promise you won’t want to go anywhere else after this. I’ll be coming here for breakfast every single day while I’m in Los Angeles — that’s how good it is! I only wish we had a Naan Hut back in Vancouver. Highly, highly recommend!✨✨✨

An Absolute Gem Naan Hut Delivers on Every Level! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Naan Hut, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff is exceptionally friendly, professional, and attentive, making you feel genuinely welcomed the moment you walk in. Their warm hospitality adds so much to the overall experience. The food is simply outstanding, authentic Persian cuisine at its finest. Every dish is beautifully prepared, full of rich, traditional flavors, and made with great care. The freshly baked naan bread is a standout: warm, perfectly crisp, and absolutely delicious. From appetizers to main courses, everything was top quality. If you're looking for amazing Persian food in a welcoming atmosphere, Naan Hut is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates great food and excellent service!

Yelp
Randomly went here for a date, was really hesitant at first but honestly the food was outstanding! sangak/ bread is to die for!! Barg was delicious and a huge portion! The owner was so kind and welcoming!

Yelp
Food is great. Love the bread. Prices are high for very limited service and ambience

Yelp
We just had the best healthy & balanced Persian lunch at Naan Hut! Koobideh Kababs, rice, salad & veggies complete with Doogh and Pepsi ! Loved the place. It could easily be a 5 star for food, great portions and value! However, they get 4 stars because of not providing a bathroom to wash your hands or use the toilet . It is kind of a fast food place so no ambiance is expected. Service was great. Please leave a tip in the jar! I can't wait to return. They also sell delicious hot Persian breads: sangak & barbari! They also have halim which I bought some to go!

Yelp
The service was great, very welcoming and clean place. We only ordered "kaleh pache" here and it was okey , but not great!

Celin T.

Yelp
Food quality good but the Hispanic staff customer service is 0 . Very rude and disrespectful. Food prices are also increasing every month that I visit.
google avatar

Alfie W.

Yelp
Been here several times and tried many things. Food is always solid, they have the best Sangak Roti. Haleem, Kale Pache, Kobida, Persian Omelette, all very good. Owner not so friendly. I had a service dog with me but I wanted to go out... Owner randomly made a comment saying you are not allowed inside telling me if it is a pet or a service dog. I didn't respond or mention anything but he was acting grumpy. Very annoyed with the cashier lady life and rudeness. Several times I, and my two friends spoke separately and she just kept cursing, never responding to me or them saying "thank you". I understand that they may be tired or underpaid or hate their jobs a bit, but I think maybe being nice to people who thank you can make your life easier. Anyway, I don't mind eating and paying a tip. We did... but you shouldn't. Take out and enjoy the food Minus attitude.

Yelp
Ordered Soltani for delivery today. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I'm giving it just 2 stars for koobideh. The Koobideh was good and tasty, and the Barg was soft and fresh yet tasteless. It really needed some seasoning and butter. The salad that came with it was a joke--just lettuce with no tomatoes, cucumbers, or anything else, and no dressing. Look at the pictures. There was also no sumac for the kabob and no bread included. For $32 before tax, disappointing and it wasn't worth it.
google avatar

Mahsa P.

Yelp
The most delicious bread is getting baked freshly from the oven everyday here and you're missing out on it?!! Come here for the bread but stay for delicious food. My all time favorite is Kalle pache but the bread is to die for, just saying!
google avatar

Jose V.

Yelp
Checked this place today for lunch. Not a bad spot, friendly staff, humus was good, I had the chicken kabob plate. Ensure you bring an appetite. The portions are GENEROUS!! Comes with plenty of rice. Chicken portions are good and the salad is a big portion! Enjoy!
google avatar

Marjan N.

Yelp
Freshly baked bread served daily in addition to a very small market of Persian food products. Their breaksfast menu provides classic Iranian items such as haleem and kaleh pache. We ordered lunch which included the koobideh, barg and soltani kabob. Large portions, included salad and their baked bread. The quality of meat used for their kabobs stand out, making their koobideh in particular asbsolutely delicious. A very casual setting serving beautiful platters of food.
google avatar

Asiyeh Z.

Yelp
My go to kale pache spot in LA! It's heartfelt and delicious. Don't expect amazing service here. Just go for the food. They also don't have a restroom so you have to go across to the gas station if you have to use the bathroom at any point during your visit.
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
Food was so good and fresh. Great portions size. I will definitely be coming back. I do recommend.

Sanam P.

Yelp
I got koobideh to be delivered to me. I think the picture speaks out loud enough to what a trash it was. Really?!
google avatar

Art K.

Yelp
Place has gone downhill. Fine for bread, but nothing else. $20 for koobideh with a side of attitude. Workers here look miserable and their attitude shows.

Yelp
This is a pretty decent neighborhood spot. I was working in the area just a few streets away, and I stopped by here for takeout on my way back. It was my first time visiting this place and I didn't know what to expect, but it turned out to be an okay experience. When I first walked in, the place gave me the impression of being a bread bakery and that's pretty much what the name of the place means. I got the chicken wrap. It was okay. I like that they have a lot of food choices, particularly "to go" in the refrigerator for people in the neighborhood to grab and go. Good fall back place if you need something fast. Service is pretty quick.
google avatar

Eduoardo S.

Yelp
Found this place on yelp. Would havw never gone otherwise. I had the kebab wrap and it was very good.
google avatar

Sangwook H.

Yelp
Great kabob, big cucumbers in the salad, tasty meat Quick and efficient service and there are a few tables inside cozy and quiet.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I went to see a movie and we stopped there to eat before the movie. We decided to eat a pizza, and it was delicious! The bread, Naan they use to make it, is so tasty and really delicious! Reasonable price. They have a lot order taken out. If you live close to, or Ho to the cinema it is a good spot to eat.

david e.

Yelp
Great food. Will return to bring refrigerated food home for dinner. Easy parking too and fair prices.
google avatar

Liz A.

Yelp
Severe Food Poisoning from the Beef wrap. 5 of us are sick 1 of us at the hospital for enteritis. Only response is it's not their fault and that everything is clean. According to other reviews, it seems they might reuse old ingredients including the meat. Dangerous and unhygienic. I had been coming here for years to enjoy their food, kind service, and just disappointed.

Sahar V.

Yelp
I just tried the chicken wrap It was reaaaaly tasty Before i tried kabab koobide It was the best in the LA town Tasty HALAL food which is number one
google avatar

Saniya H.

Yelp
The quantity of food was GREAT!! The plate is definitely worth paying $20. The wrap was ok. They did charge $2 for a bottle of water. The ambiance isn't very nice but definitely would get food to go. They have very limited seating. I did appreciate the air conditioner being on while we went in on a very hot day. The person that took our order wasn't necessarily nice but we didn't care as much once we got the food.

Amir A.

Yelp
It's definitely only a to-go place. Bad service, rude customer service. We had cheese and bread, cheese was dry and old. No brewed tea. Omelette with tomato tastes bad, I think it was made with a sauce other than original Persian one. Generally, when there's no one speaking Farsi in a Persian Restaurant it's a red flag.

Julie M.

Yelp
Thank you for feeding us well, Naan Hut! I've been coming here for years, buying a giant bread and whatever is in their grab n go case. Although the kebabs are delicious, I really love the soups and stews as well. Flavors are fresh and bright. Portions are generous. Mouth is watering just thinking about it.
google avatar

John Y.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place on and off for over 5 years. My recent visit I can tell it's under new management. If I'm in LA, I will come here for the traditional Persian breakfast. The bread was still amazing. But the cheese was old, the tea came in a to go cup, that's just lazy. The cucumber was from yesterday and the Halem was not the same. I will come back one more time to see if they had an off peek day.

Ali B.

Yelp
Love the food here, honestly the best omelet out here. It's absolutely delicious. The Halim is amazing as well.
google avatar

Soran M.

Yelp
Bought food here on our drive back up to San Francisco. Everything was amazing. The haleem and sangak bread tastes just like how I remember it tasting in Iran. They have all the classics prepared fresh daily refrigerated. Worth every penny.
google avatar

Vin G.

Yelp
The best kale pache in los angeles, is you like kale pache. You gotta try this place you won't be sorry.

Nader G.

Yelp
Very rude and unprofessional. Call and ask if they make the bread and they lie and say yes and you show up and they don't have it! Will never step foot there again.

Arash A.

Yelp
Best Sangak bread, period. I had their kabob the other day for the first time and I was very surprised by both the quality of the food and the quality of service, served in a proper iron tray, not a plastic plate. Beef kabob was juicy and fresh.
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
Bottom Line: A complete misfire. Quite possibly the worst beef kabob sandwich I've ever had for L.A. And I've had a lot. Cost 15 bucks, but I wouldn't even pay $5. Came here for lunch. Big. Big. Mistake. At first glance with the open-oven positioned for customers to gaze and the Persian mini-mart grocery option, Naan Hut felt inviting. However, looks can be quite deceiving. Let's just put it this way: It's not a great look when the only order up at lunch time is mine. That's not to say this place lacked a lunch-rush. However, in my observations, the bulk of their business came directly from the many buy-a-naan Persian bread packets purportedly straight fresh out of the oven. And it all looked good. But LOOK is the operative word. First and foremost the kabob was absolutely soggy. Drenched in sauce, the naan bread exhibited more of a squishy, floppy base. The sandwich was not fresh at all. The kabob itself had this grayish texture. Tasted like yesterdays leftovers. I didn't taste any grill singes or charr or anything of that nature. It's like the chef recycled day old contents and thought they'd pass it as fresh. After all, it's a sandwich. Who would know? Me. That's who.

Tin Tin T.

Yelp
I wish they were more generous, for the price they are charging. They need to put more grilled tomatoes next to their Kebob, use more dressing on their salad!
google avatar

Jeff K.

Yelp
5 stars for Fresh Persian Bread in the morning. Fresh out of the oven and warm. I always have to get an extra one because the first is usually eaten half way before I arrive home. I actually found the hot food to be mediocre in comparison to places like Javan and Taste of Tehran, but surprisingly more expensive. (3 stars) I asked for a chicken koobideh, but was given a chicken kabob. The woman who took my order was very nice, I'm just not sure she understood the difference between the two. For me this place is strictly for the bread
google avatar

Mia K.

Yelp
The good selection and its close proximity to my home are the biggest pros. The beef in my wrap was red in the middle. The salad it came with was very good. The bread, while made of wheat, is fresh and chewy. Decent prices. Don't like the rice. Take it from this Asian who often messes up rice without a rice cooker. Rice's simplicity belies needed skills to make it correctly. Besides the taste, something's off with theirs that I can't pinpoint. It's cool to see them bake their bread in the brick oven. But please get at least a fan, especially for warmer days. Food is cooked to order. Naan Hut is convenient but I am willing to drive further for more satisfying food.
google avatar

Margarita T.

Yelp
Love this place! Best kebabs in the area! Usually order a combo to share with colleagues. Prices are good and only 10-15 minutes wait time
google avatar

Sarah A.

Yelp
Been here once before and food was great. Went recently and it seemed like it was dry and the meat portions also seemed smaller.

Mark X.

Yelp
Food is excellent, especially the kaleh pacheh. Only reason for low number of stars is the service which was very rude. This time the owner was not there who is very polite and a great host. I am posting this so the owner can note the poor service when he is not around. We booked a table for 8 people who were coming from out of town (San Diego). We called 30 minutes before our reservation time to say the traffic was heavy and we may be 10-15 minutes late. I was told very rudely that we were holding up other customers who were waiting for a table. Not sure how since this was 30 minutes before our reservation! We got there almost on time and ordered kaleh pacheh which was excellent as usual. Had a hard time getting the server's attention to get more bread even though there were no other customers. We will surely be back since this is one of our favorite places even though we have to drive a long way to get there. Please have a chat with your servers and tell them to treat customers a little better. Thank you.

Yelp
I found two hairs in their pizza , I asked their employee if they are wearing hat back there , he told me yes but clearly he was lying, I saw them inside the kitchen and non were had a hat . So disgusting, I returned half of the pizza .

Natasha W.

Yelp
Very good food and torshi great service .need more table outside and more Persian people working instead of latin
google avatar

Yelp
Yummy and just around the corner from my partners place. A little bit pricey but the quality is really good!! I got the mixed kabob plate. Loved the charred tomato.
google avatar

Noor N.

Yelp
Great Kalle Pache! What more do you want?! Service is good, they have all variety of Persian breakfast and they also have refrigerated food for take out!

Tahira V.

Yelp
Kobeideh was tasteless. Kashk e bademjoon was horrible. Rice was not steamed enough. Prices were ok. Service I will rate at C. Not a smile on the man's face. I think he was the owner. Not going back for sure!
google avatar

Van G.

Yelp
Small Place. Hole in the wall kind of spot. It has a certain flavor to it but nothing extremely special. I wish there was though. Used to come here all the time when I lived nearby. Now that I moved there's absolutely nothing special for me to ponder about and to say how much I want to come back and have some of that hummus or something. Competition for Mediterranean restaurant business is huge. So if you're in the neighborhood definitely stop by and enjoy. Their chicken and red meat kabobs are really good. I would not suggest getting the salmon Kabob though. I remember once I came here to get it and the restaurant gave me a grilled fillet instead of an actual to kabob. I have several other Mediterranean restaurants in the neighborhood that I usually prefer. Still, thumbs up.
google avatar

Hosein G.

Yelp
The best Iranian stews and the best stone bread in America. The owner of the shop is also very respectful and lovely
google avatar

Shell E.

Yelp
We wandered into this little Persian restaurant and were very pleased with the service and food. We shared the Salmon plate (and added an order of their homemade bread.) it was served with lime, roasted veggies, over a bed of rice. There was a large side salad that came with a generous portion of dressing. It also came with a serving of dill yogurt. It was so much food that we actually brought some home. I can't wait for our next visit!
google avatar

Irina L.

Yelp
Why is your customer service so bad? Everyone is complaining about your business, they say Iranians are very nice people how can you make a bad Kubideh? Kabob? Let me give you a 5 star to help you out baba, I will come and check on you...let's see if it's true what people say.
google avatar

Mark H.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! Delicious & healthy food and halal! Place is extremely busy, but they are fast & the food is inexpensive & absolutely deliciousness. Inside & outside seating but best to get to go, because it's packed! So many options! It's just Devine! A must try!
google avatar

Scarlett H.

Yelp
In addition to great food, they also sell this bitter orange jam, which is delicious and great with tea!

Mike J.

Yelp
I ordered Koobideh, Soltani, Chicken Kebob, and Geymeh, all of which were delicious. While the owner wasn't as welcoming on my first visit, the store itself was exceptionally clean and had a cozy atmosphere.
